Continuing: Today a look at the apocalypse, and in doing see it as very appropriately opposite its corrupted definition. This modern false teaching is meant to sensationalize (emotionalize) it into something feared, to scratch the itching ears of those led captive by degenerate church institutions, then amplified and broadcast by a world which as practice defines almost everything of importance as opposite its true meaning (false-news reports from every main stream outlet – baseless opinion mixed with small amounts of uninvestigated truth presented as “reliable” fact.) As with all such cases, when seen through eyes fixed on truth and reality, the evidence is opposite, exposes the deception, is then defined and attacked by these same corrupted agenda driven sources, the truth itself becomes the existential threat and mortal enemy of the deception and the deceivers who control (hold captive) the world by means of their perverted truth.
Uncovering this mass fraud, come even from the once most trusted sources, in a world where false pretense and altered reality dominates, and truth’s battle against it and its effects, is the apocalypse. If you have been with me for any time you know we have many times discussed the Greek word apokalupsis, from which comes the word apocalypse, and it meaning, to remove the cover.
In the prior post we looked at Isaiah 25:8 and its being quoted in 1 Corinthians 15:55 telling of the resurrection when death is swallowed up in victory. In the latter quote Paul writes of it as the change that will come upon all, when this type of mass corruption (spoken of above) is ended, and he tells us that in this we mortals shall have put on immortality. (A society, or a species possessing higher intelligence, can only out survive its capability to destroy itself if it evolves to have a mind (ideas and reason) that isn’t focused on childish, and foolish, and temporal, and material, satisfaction, and uses deception to achieve these. Diligently seek you first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added after you find it.)
1 Corinthians 15
51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?
The Isaiah 25 origin of the quote is very explicit in telling us this is when the cover over all the earth shall be removed. It tells of the mountain, the high placed that loom over and control the world, and of their cover (vail) over it being destroyed. We are told this destruction comes in the form of a feast provide by the LORD. The context is these places have become a ruin by those having usurped control (false shepherds) feeding themselves and not the flock.
Isaiah 25
1 O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 For you have made of a city an heap; of a defensed city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify you, the city of the terrible nations shall fear you.
4 For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 You shall bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the LORD God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has spoken it.
9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swims spreads forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 And the fortress of the high fort of your walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
We have in prior posts very thoroughly studied this aspect from Ezekiel 34, and where the LORD speaks of being the good shepherd in John 10, where he also tells of the door through which the good shepherd shall come to His sheep. In Ezekiel 34 the LORD also tells us he will feed the false shepherd with judgment. Again from our recent studies we know at the doorway is where the conversation/judgment takes place.
Ezekiel 34
8 As I live, says the LORD God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
9 Therefore, O you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
10 Thus says the LORD God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
11 For thus says the LORD God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, says the LORD God.
John 10
1 Truly, truly, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter [the Holy Spirit as the keeper of the door] opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice [because the voice is not my own but the voice of my Father who sent me].
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
6 This parable spoke Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spoke unto them.
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Truly, truly, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
Ezekiel 44
1 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looks toward the east; and it was shut.
2 Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
3 It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
Through our prior studies we have come to understand the meaning of the east-gate as the place where when open the sunrise is first seen as its light shines through the doorway at daybreak. This brings us back to the word apokalupsis. It is used eighteen times, and fourteen of those it is translated as “revelation.” The first of the other four is in Luke 2:32 where it is rendered “lighten” in quoting from Isaiah 42:6, and in this use we are abled to fully see the afore mentioned context more fully illuminated.
Luke uses apokalupsis in telling of it as the LORD’s salvation (Jehovah’s Salvation = Jesus) personified in Christ, and seen by all as a light having come to “lighten” the gentiles. In this we see the mission of Christ; by revelation, the lightening, the cover of the corruption is removed, as all see it and are changed by it. (This is the simplicity of basic logic.)
The setting in Luke is the Holy Spirit gives this understanding to Simeon, (as only the Holy Spirit can loose this understanding, of who the son is, in the Father’s time.) He then make a confession of what he has witnessed, and in doing quotes from Isaiah 42:6.
Luke 2
30 For mine eyes have seen your salvation,
31 Which you have prepared before the face of all people;
32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.
Before looking at Isaiah 42 we need to see another use of apokalupsis, rendered as “manifestation” in Romans 8:19, where it adds to and compliments what is declared in Luke telling of this being the “uncovering” of us as the LORD’s glory, (seen in us as light manifested.)
1 Corinthians 15
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit [able to bring others to glory/life.]
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the LORD from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Romans 8
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now [the pains of birth until now and the children being born.]
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Friends, the Apocalypse is the greatest event in human history. It is the victory over the fall away into death. Woe unto those who call evil good and good evil.
Isaiah 42 tells of us as those the LORD has risen up by enlightening us. In many posts we’ve discussed the patterns all pointing to this time, and all for us to know it once we were made fully awake. The word used In Isaiah 42:32, to tell of this education as what would “lighten” us, is the Hebrew word ‘owr, meaning illumination or an luminary, (why we are called stars,) and is first used in Genesis 1:3 to tell of the “light” that is the first creation after the Spirit of God moves upon the waters (word/counsel of God) of the deep. The word there translated “moved” is rachaph, literally meaning brood, as in a bird sitting on eggs until they hatch. What came into the world was the light, the word made flesh.

2 And the earth was [hayah – became] without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Isaiah 42
1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5 Thus says God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; he that gives breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivers; for a spoil, and none says, Restore.
23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
