The above, Habakkuk 2:3, is the LORD telling Habakkuk to write the vision he sees and make it plain so those reading can escape (the final judgment). The “appointed time” refers us to Genesis, where the same Hebrew word, mow’ed, appears three times. It’s first, in Genesis 1:14, rendered “seasons” in telling us God created the sun and the moon for signs and seasons. It alludes to the darkness of church and state government: the appointed time when the ignorance of God’s people is what orders their judgment.

It speaks of the time we know as Abraham’s sleep, the “end” spoken of by Habakkuk above, which we know is the same end, from the word qets, as Daniel speaks of in Daniel 12. As described there, the sleep is the book sealed (chatham), until the time and this end therein given.

The next two times the word appears it’s to tell of the beginning and end of the appointed time. It (mow’ed) first appears, in Genesis 17:21, as the LORD (in 1867 BC) tells Abraham, His covenant will be with Isaac, who will be born at the “set time” the following year (the beginning of the sleep period). Then it’s used, in Genesis 18:14, as the LORD tells of the “time appointed” when he will return (the end of the period), according to Abraham’s time of life. He begins this, asking “Is anything too hard for the LORD?”

The word rendered there “according to the time” is ‘eth, the same word used six times in Daniel 12 to tell of the “time” of the end. It’s when Michael stands, when there is national trouble such as never before, when God’s people are delivered, and the end (qets) when the sealed book is again opened. It (‘eth) is the same word, in Deuteronomy 32:35, rendered “due time” in telling when the LORD’s vengeance comes, of which he says “Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed [chatham] up among my treasures?”

The word rendered “laid up in store” is the one time used Hebrew word lamac, meaning “to store away, i.e. (figuratively) in the memory.” It further means it’s reserved for this end time, to be remembered. The word rendered “treasures” is the word ‘owtsar, which we know means depository, as in a treasure house or armory. It only appears in Deuteronomy one other time, in Deuteronomy 28:12, where the LORD speaks of when He opens to us His good treasure (‘owtsar) and sends His rain to our land in His season (‘eth – His time).

Deuteronomy 28
7 The LORD shall cause your enemies that rise up [quwm] against you to be smitten before your face: they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
9 The LORD shall establish [quwm – raise up] you a holy people unto himself, as he has sworn unto you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you.
11 And the LORD shall make you plenteous in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give you.
12 The LORD shall open unto you his good treasure [‘owtsar], the heaven to give the rain unto your land in his season [‘eth], and to bless all the work of your hand: and you shall lend unto many nations, and you shall not borrow.
13 And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you hearken unto the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them:
14 And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

The above is speaking of when the LORD Himself unseals this word, as He does here and now, opening our mind to remember, and awake by understanding. When we understand it is His word, His work, sent as the latter rain from heaven where they have been held until now, to be uncovered in the apocalypse, so we will realize we are in His presence at His appear and kingdom.

Of the appointed time of ignorance, the LORD then says:

Deuteronomy 32
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
34 Is not this laid up in store [lamac] with me, and sealed up among my treasures [‘owtsar]?
35 To me belongs vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time [‘eth – in the end time, now when His word is open and understood]: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste [they are here now].
36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live forever.
41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
43 Rejoice, O you nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

As previously discussed, verse 38 above refers to what’s in Daniel 14:15 and the destruction of Bel, the idol of Babylon. As we know, Daniel, in our Bibles, ends with chapter 12. In the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Hebrew Old Testament), it has 14 chapter. In the beginning of chapter 14, we read of Astyages, the king and Esther’s husband, dying, and Cyrus, their son, taking the throne. What follows is the description of now when the priests of Bel (seventy, showing they are false priests in God’s house) are discovered to be those consuming the sacrifices left out for the idol Bel they created.

This discovery is the pattern of now when those called priests and prophets in God’s house are those preaching their own words they claim is God’s. They are those consuming the sacrifice (tithes) they extort in God’s name and the false rock in Deuteronomy 32 above. They’re called the king and prince of Tyrus (rock) in Ezekiel 28, where in verse 12 they are who sealed (chatham) up the sum.

The word there rendered “sum” is tokniyth, which only appears one other time, translated “pattern,” in Ezekiel 43:10. The chapter tells of the coming of the true prince, the LORD in His king, who is the son of man, in verse 10, told to show the house of God’s people this “pattern” so they would be ashamed of their iniquities (the abomination they put in God place and call God, taking His name in vain). These are patterns speaking of Cyrus and Daniel, the LORD’s reign in judgment, destroying the confusion of Babylon, as Habakkuk meets with Daniel (God’s Judgment) in the lion’s den.

Daniel 14
1 And king Astyages was gathered to his fathers, and Cyrus of Persia received his kingdom.
2 And Daniel conversed with the king, and was honored above all his friends.
3 Now the Babylonians had an idol, called Bel, and there were spent upon him every day twelve great measures of fine flour, and forty sheep, and six vessels of wine.
4 And the king worshipped it and went daily to adore it: but Daniel worshipped his own God. And the king said unto him, Why do not you worship Bel?
5 Who answered and said, Because I may not worship idols made with hands, but the living God, who has created the heaven and the earth, and has sovereignty over all flesh.
6 Then said the king unto him, Think you not that Bel is a living God? see you not how much he eats and drinks every day?
7 Then Daniel smiled, and said, O king, be not deceived: for this is but clay within, and brass without, and did never eat or drink anything.
8 So the king was wroth, and called for his priests, and said unto them, If you tell me not who this is that devours these expenses, you shall die.
9 But if you can certify me that Bel devours them, then Daniel shall die: for he has spoken blasphemy against Bel. And Daniel said unto the king, Let it be according to your word.
10 Now the priests of Bel were threescore and ten, beside their wives and children. And the king went with Daniel into the temple of Bel.
11 So Bel’s priests said, Lo, we go out: but you, O king, set on the meat, and make ready the wine, and shut the door fast and seal it with your own signet;
12 And tomorrow when you come in, if you find not that Bel has eaten up all, we will suffer death: or else Daniel, that speaks falsely against us.
13 And they little regarded it: for under the table they had made a privy entrance, whereby they entered in continually, and consumed those things.
14 So when they were gone forth, the king set meats before Bel. Now Daniel had commanded his servants to bring ashes, and those they strewed throughout all the temple in the presence of the king alone: then went they out, and shut the door, and sealed it with the king’s signet, and so departed.
15 Now in the night came the priests with their wives and children, as they were wont to do, and did eat and drink up all.
16 In the morning betime the king arose, and Daniel with him.
17 And the king said, Daniel, are the seals whole? And he said, Yea, O king, they be whole.
18 And as soon as he had opened the door, the king looked upon the table, and cried with a loud voice, Great are you, O Bel, and with you is no deceit at all.
19 Then laughed Daniel, and held the king that he should not go in, and said, Behold now the pavement, and mark well whose footsteps are these.
20 And the king said, I see the footsteps of men, women, and children. And then the king was angry,
21 And took the priests with their wives and children, who shewed him the privy doors, where they came in, and consumed such things as were upon the table.
22 Therefore the king slew them, and delivered Bel into Daniel’s power, who destroyed him and his temple.
23 And in that same place there was a great dragon, which they of Babylon worshipped.
24 And the king said unto Daniel, Will you also say that this is of brass? lo, he lives, he eats and drinks; you can not say that he is no living god: therefore worship him.
25 Then said Daniel unto the king, I will worship the LORD my God: for he is the living God.
26 But give me leave, O king, and I shall slay this dragon without sword or staff. The king said, I give you leave.
27 Then Daniel took pitch, and fat, and hair, and did seethe them together, and made lumps thereof: this he put in the dragon’s mouth, and so the dragon burst in sunder: and Daniel said, Lo, these are the gods you worship.
28 When they of Babylon heard that, they took great indignation, and conspired against the king, saying, The king is become a Jew, and he has destroyed Bel, he has slain the dragon, and put the priests to death.
29 So they came to the king, and said, Deliver us Daniel, or else we will destroy you and your house.
30 Now when the king saw that they pressed him sore, being constrained, he delivered Daniel unto them:
31 Who cast him into the lions’ den: where he was six days.
32 And in the den there were seven lions, and they had given them every day two carcasses, and two sheep: which then were not given to them, to the intent they might devour Daniel.
33 Now there was in Jewry a prophet, called Habbacuc [Habakkuk], who had made pottage, and had broken bread in a bowl, and was going into the field, for to bring it to the reapers.
34 But the angel of the LORD said unto Habbacuc, Go, carry the dinner that you have into Babylon unto Daniel, who is in the lions’ den.
35 And Habbacuc said, LORD, I never saw Babylon; neither do I know where the den is.
36 Then the angel of the LORD took him by the crown, and bare him by the hair of his head, and through the vehemency of his spirit set him in Babylon over the den.
37 And Habbacuc cried, saying, O Daniel, Daniel, take the dinner which God has sent you.
38 And Daniel said, You have remembered me, O God: neither have you forsaken them that seek you and love you.
39 So Daniel arose, and did eat: and the angel of the LORD set Habbacuc in his own place again immediately.
40 Upon the seventh day the king went to bewail Daniel: and when he came to the den, he looked in, and behold, Daniel was sitting.
41 Then cried the king with a loud voice, saying, Great is the LORD God of Daniel, and there is none other besides you.
42 And he drew him out, and cast those that were the cause of his destruction [who caused the destruction of judgment and understanding] into the den: and they were devoured in a moment before his face.

Ezekiel 28
1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus [the false rock – the false church], Thus says the LORD God; Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet you are a man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God:
3 Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you:
4 With your wisdom and with your understanding you have gotten you riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasures [‘owtsar – stolen away My treasures]:
5 By your great wisdom and by your traffic have you increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches [which you extort from My people by taking My name in vain]:
6 Therefore thus says the LORD God; Because you have set your heart as the heart of God;
7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon you, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.
8 They shall bring you down to the pit, and you shall die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.
9 Will you yet say before him that slays you, I am God? but you shall be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slays you.
10 You shall die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, says the LORD God.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus [the false rock – the false civil government – now communists and totalitarian], and say unto him, Thus says the LORD God; You sealed [chatam] up the sum [tokniyth – caused the pattern not to be understood], full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.
14 You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you.
16 By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.
18 You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.
19 All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more.
20 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
21 Son of man, set your face against Zidon [those who, with lying words, hunt men’s souls], and prophesy against it,
22 And say, Thus says the LORD God; Behold, I am against you, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of you: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
23 For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn [leaders who rise through neglect] of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the LORD God.
25 Thus says the LORD God; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

Ezekiel 43
1 Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looked toward the east:
2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice [qowl] was like a noise [qowl – the word of God from His mouth] of many waters: and the earth shined [was given understanding] with his glory.
3 And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar [the river that carries the word of God through eternity]; and I fell upon my face.
4 And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east [through which the sun is first seen when it rises and shines understanding into the darkness].
5 So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.
6 And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.
7 And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcasses of their kings in their high places.
8 In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.
9 Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcasses of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them forever.
10 You son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern [tokniyth – the parts brought together and the sum understood].
11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, show them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.
12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

Habakkuk 2
1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time [mow’ed], but at the end [qets] it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his [own] faith.
5 Yea also, because he transgresses by wine, he is a proud man, neither keeps at home, who enlarges his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathers unto him all nations, and heaps unto him all people:
6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increases that which is not his! how long? and to him that lades himself with thick clay!
7 Shall they not rise up [quwm – see Deuteronomy 28:9 above] suddenly [petha’] that shall bite you, and awake [from Abraham’s sleep] that shall vex you, and you shall be for booties unto them?
8 Because you have spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil you; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
9 Woe to him that covets an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
10 You have consulted shame to your house by cutting off many people, and have sinned against your soul.
11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
12 Woe to him that builds a town with blood, and establishes [kuwn – prepares] a city by iniquity!
13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
15 Woe unto him that gives his neighbor drink, that puts your bottle to him, and makes him drunken also, that you may look on their nakedness!
16 You are filled with shame for glory: drink you also, and let your foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto you, and shameful spewing shall be on your glory.
17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover you, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
18 What profits the graven image that the maker thereof has graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts therein, to make dumb idols?
19 Woe unto him that says to the [dead] wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath [life] at all in the midst of it.
20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

Proverbs 6
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provides [kuwn – prepares] her meat in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
9 How long will you sleep, O sluggard? when will you arise out of your sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 So shall your poverty come as one that travels, and your want as an armed man.
12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walks with a froward mouth [lying words].
13 He winks with his eyes, he speaks with his feet [misleading those who follow], he teaches with his fingers;
14 Frowardness [deception] is in his heart, he devises mischief continually; he sows discord.
15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly [petha’] shall he be broken without remedy.
16 These six things does the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren [the abomination – separating God people by their lying words in church and state].
20 My son, keep your father’s commandment [the knowledge of God, His mercy and judgment], and forsake not the law of your mother [God’s wisdom and understanding]:
21 Bind them continually upon your heart, and tie them about your neck.
22 When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall keep you; and when you awake [from Abraham’s sleep], it shall talk with you.

Proverbs 29
1 He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly [petha’] be destroyed, and that without remedy.
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn [as we see in the cities and states run by the Democrat Communist Party].

Ezekiel 7
1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Also, you son of man, thus says the LORD God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
3 Now is the end come upon you, and I will send mine anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense upon you all your abominations.
4 And mine eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense your ways upon you, and your abominations shall be in the midst of you: and you shall know that I am the LORD.
5 Thus says the LORD God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.
6 An end [qets] is come, the end [qets] is come: it watches [quwts – awakens] for you; behold, it is come.
7 The morning [tsphiyrah – the crown, the crowning of the LORD’s chosen, the man of God, as was David] is come unto you, O you that dwells in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
8 Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon you, and accomplish mine anger upon you: and I will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense you for all your abominations.
9 And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense you according to your ways and your abominations that are in the midst of you; and you shall know that I am the LORD that smites.
10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning [tsphiyrah – the crowning] is gone forth; the rod has blossomed, pride has budded.
11 Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them.
12 The time is come, the day draw near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
13 For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
14 They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
15 The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

21 And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.
22 My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
23 Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
24 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
25 Destruction comes; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.
26 Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor [shmuw’ah – teaching sound doctrine, and reporting truth] shall be upon rumor [shmuw’ah – teaching and reporting that isn’t believed, and the man of God reporting it is still unknown – because of the lies and misleading of those who’ve blinded the world by drunkenness]; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Psalms 40
1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established [quwn – prepared and provided for] my goings.
3 And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5 Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; mine ears have you opened: burnt offering and sin offering have you not required.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8 I delight to do your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart.
9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, you knowest.
10 I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the great congregation.
11 Withhold not you your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let your lovingkindness and your truth continually preserve me.
12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16 Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: let such as love your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
17 But I am poor and needy; yet the LORD thinketh upon me: you are my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
