The LORD begins, above in Isaiah 33:3, where the word “noise” is from qowl (voice), and “tumult” is from hamown, a word usually rendered “multitude.” It is speaking of the voices of God’s people, at His lifting up, rising with him, and the tribes and nations (‘am and gowy) arrayed (in battle) against them, are, in fleeing, scattered.

The verses before define these enemies as those who spoiled and dealt treacherously with us. This “treachery” is from the Hebrew word bagad, “a primitive root; to cover (with a garment); figuratively, to act covertly; by implication, to pillage.” It is the evil misleading of those who just destroyed the world with their lies: known liars telling known lies, causing fear and panic, destroying millions of lives and livelihoods, all for political power and control. It is the greatest crime ever committed against humanity: HOAX and HYPE by mass delusion created by mass deceptions.

The word rendered “spoil” is shadad, meaning “properly, to be burly, i.e. (figuratively) powerful (passively, impregnable); by implication, to ravage: — dead, destroy(-er), oppress, robber, spoil(-er), X utterly, (lay) waste.” It obviously speaks of the powerful who’ve used their positions to destroy their political enemies, while, as collateral damage, also destroying the complicit deceivers (useful idiots) who though they’d gain from going along with the treachery. (Little did they know, their evil master plan was to bring down all, except their elites who prospered, into dependence and misery, using tactics they knew could never raise anyone out it.)

Isaiah says “woe” to these treacherous spoilers, because the LORD has been gracious to His people who’ve waited for Him. It says He’s become their arm every morning, and salvation in this time of trouble. Verse 3, speaks of His waking His multitude, their voices heard confessing His arm revealed, proclaiming His known presence, and from this all others panic, flee, and are scattered.

The word “scattered” is the Hebrew word naphats, meaning “to dash to pieces, or scatter.” This scattering is the finishing act, when the power of the holy people is “scattered,” and the LORD scatters the who’ve scattered them (Daniel 12:7). It’s the word used to describe when Gideon’s three hundred “broke” their pitchers (Judges 7:19), their voices where heard, and the trumpets sounded, and all Midian (those cause this strife) panic and fled from the sword of the LORD.

1 Woe to you that spoils, and you were not spoiled; and deal treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with you! when you shall cease to spoil, you shall be spoiled; and when you shall make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with you.
2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for you: be you their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

4 And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 He that walked righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of oppressions, that shakes his hands from holding of bribes, that stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
17 Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
18 Your heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
19 You shall not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than you can perceive; of a stammering tongue, that you can not understand.
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: your eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

Revelation 7

Isaiah 25
1 O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 For you have made of a city a heap; of a defensed city a ruin: a palace of strangers [zuwr] to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify you, the city of the terrible nations shall fear you.
4 For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 You shall bring down the noise [sha’own – uproar] of strangers [zuwr], as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud [by understanding come from heaven]: the branch of the terrible [‘ariyts –  powerful or tyrannical] shall be brought low.
6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined [all this word of God you’ve eaten and which has given you strength: understanding].
7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering [uncovering the truth hidden by the lies and ignorance that have replaced it] that have cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the LORD God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has spoken it.
9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab [the gates of hell, the open mouths of known liars telling known lies] shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swims spreads forth his hands to swim [rightly dividing the water and staying above them n]: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

Isaiah 10
20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob [here using the name of all Israel {Ephraim and Judah} when they were still unknowingly wrestling with God], shall no more again stay upon him that smote them [the neglectful thorns and briers whose leadership is the root of the problem]; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22 For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
23 For the LORD God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
24 Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, O my people that dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian [the communists]: he shall smite you with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against you, after the manner of Egypt.

26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

When the LORD tells of the “scourge” He will stir against the communists He uses the word showt, meaning a lash (whip). It’s from the word shuwt, meaning to push forward. He says it will be like “the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb.” This refers to when Gideon [warrior – hewer of the mighty], with a few hundred men, by the sword of the LORD, and the sword of Gideon, stirred confusion and panic in the camp of Midian, causing them to flee.

Gideon then called God’s people at large to join the battle, and they together chased Midian to the waters of Bethbarash (house of the ford – crossing over) and Jordan (death – the words that carried all there). The rock of Oreb (darkness, or dusky – as in those who caused light, understanding, to leave) is where the princes of Midian (Oreb and Zeeb – the wolves among the sheep) are slaughtered. Midian means strife, and describes those stirring endless arguments and agitation among God’s people.

Nahum 3 [the Elkoshite – the comforter, who is also God the ensnarer]
1 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departs not;
2 The noise [qowl – voice] of a whip [showt], and the noise [qowl – voice] of the rattling of the wheels [‘owphan – the sound of God’s word], and of the prancing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
3 The horseman lifts up both the bright [lahab – flashes of fire] sword and the glittering [baraq – flashes of lightning] spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcasses; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well-favored harlot, the mistress of witchcraft, that sells nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts [the spells of deception with which she has deceived the world].
5 Behold, I am against you, says the LORD of hosts; and I will discover your skirts upon your face, and I will show the nations your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame.
6 And I will cast abominable filth upon you, and make you vile, and will set you as a gazing-stock.
7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon you shall flee from you, and say, Nineveh [this place that has been called to repentance] is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for you?
8 Are you better than populous No [the others who’ve disrupted the world], that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?

17 Your crowned are as the locusts, and your captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun arises they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.

Friends, we have previously looked at the meaning, in context, of the word ‘abad, rendered “perish” in Isaiah 57:1. We understand it is speaking of those who have sleepwalked, wandered, away from the corrupted churches, or who’ve become the dead in them. These are all except the elect: they are the great multitude who come out of great tribulation, those the LORD speaks of in verse 15 above saying He will revive them.

Galatians 3
…no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that does them shall live in them.
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannuls, or adds thereto.
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He says not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to your seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you be Christ’s, then are you Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The baptism into Christ is what Paul, elsewhere in 1 Corinthians 10, tells us is the Word of God speaking from us, those in whom He manifests Himself.

1 Corinthians 10
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be you idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur you, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

Coming out is from among those who have no idea who God is, yet they peach Him to those saying they are His people, while their words and acts prove they are not (they call Him LORD but do not what He says). This is the context of the above, and why Paul continues, saying in verse 20, “they sacrifice to devils, and not to God.” The quote is from Deuteronomy 32:17, from a passage describing the rock that is not our Rock, meaning the word that flows from them is not the word of Christ flowing from those in whom God is obviously present. Deuteronomy 32:15 tells us this comes when Jeshurun has waxed fat and forsake their God who created them, and lightly esteemed the Rock of their salvation. The name Jeshurun is used for God’s people who have become prosperous by following His teaching and counsel, which are the aspects they in their prosperity forget in forsaking Him.

Deuteronomy 32
1 Give ear, O you heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe you greatness unto our God.
4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
6 Do you thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he your father that has bought you? has he not made you, and established you?
7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.
8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

9 But if you can certify me that Bel devours them, then Daniel shall die: for he has spoken blasphemy against Bel. And Daniel said unto the king, Let it be according to your word. 
10 Now the priests of Bel were threescore and ten, beside their wives and children. And the king went with Daniel into the temple of Bel. 
11 So Bel’s priests said, Lo, we go out: but you, O king, set on the meat, and make ready the wine, and shut the door fast and seal it with your own signet; 
12 And tomorrow when you come in, if you find not that Bel has eaten up all, we will suffer death: or else Daniel, that speaks falsely against us. 
13 And they little regarded it: for under the table they had made a privy entrance, whereby they entered in continually, and consumed those things. 
14 So when they were gone forth, the king set meats before Bel. Now Daniel had commanded his servants to bring ashes, and those they strewed throughout all the temple in the presence of the king alone: then went they out, and shut the door, and sealed it with the king’s signet, and so departed. 
15 Now in the night came the priests with their wives and children, as they were wont to do, and did eat and drink up all.
16 In the morning be-time the king arose, and Daniel with him. 
17 And the king said, Daniel, are the seals whole? And he said, Yea, O king, they be whole. 
18 And as soon as he had opened the door, the king looked upon the table, and cried with a loud voice, Great are you, O Bel, and with you is no deceit at all. 
19 Then laughed Daniel, and held the king that he should not go in, and said, Behold now the pavement, and mark well whose footsteps are these. 
20 And the king said, I see the footsteps of men, women, and children. And then the king was angry, 
21 And took the priests with their wives and children, who shewed him the privy doors, where they came in, and consumed such things as were upon the table [as do the false preachers and false prophets of our time, misleading to fill their own bellies]. 
22 Therefore the king slew them, and delivered Bel into Daniel’s power, who destroyed him and his temple.

John 21 – {the living God eating and drinking}
12 Jesus said unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who are you? knowing that it was the LORD.
13 Jesus then came, and took bread, and gave them, and fish likewise.
14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
15 So when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter [the Rock that is our Rock], Simon, son of Jonas [the first to come from the belly of hell], love you me more than these? He said unto him, Yea, LORD; you know that I love you. He said unto him, Feed my lambs [give this word to my flock].
16 He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? He said unto him, Yea, LORD; you know that I love you. He said unto him, Feed my sheep [give this word to my flock].
17 He said unto him the third time, Simon [the Rock], son of Jonas [the first to come from the belly of hell], love you me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Love you me? And he said unto him, LORD, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus said unto him, Feed my sheep [give this word to My people].
18 Truly, truly, I say unto you, When you were young, you girded [prepared] yourself, and walked wherever you wanted: but when you shall be old [now], you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird [prepare] you, and carry you where you would not [now when you have refused to give My word to my people, again denying me three times; But now, if you love me, you will do as I command – Feed my Sheep, love them as I have loved you].]]

Deuteronomy 32
39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live forever.
41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
43 Rejoice, O you nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

Remember what Jonah said just before he was pulled from the fires, out the belly of Sheol (hell): death and the habitation of the dead.

Jonah 2
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me forever: yet have you brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto you, into your holy temple.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto you with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed [[to feed My sheep]]. Salvation is of the LORD.
10 And the LORD spoke unto the fish [what was below the surface agitating the sea – the people], and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land [where God’s word, His calls to repentance, are not heard].

This is what Isaiah 28 describes, the LORD there telling of when He will disannul the covenant with death, and the agreement with Sheol will not stand.

Isaiah 28
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts [[who now draw from the Ancient of Days]].
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue [repeating words they don’t understand] will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus says the LORD God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20 For the bed is shorter than that a [sleeping] man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

Psalms 83
1 Keep not you silence, O God: hold not your peace, and be not still, O God.
2 For, lo, your enemies make a tumult: and they that hate you have lifted up the head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against your people, and consulted against your hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against you:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. Selah.
9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
13 O my God, make them like a wheel [as in these past times]; as the stubble before the wind.
14 As the fire burns a wood, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire;
15 So persecute them with your tempest, and make them afraid with your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek your name, O LORD.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled forever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 That men may know that you, whose name alone is Jehovah, are the Most High over all the earth.
