LORD, why casts you off my soul? why hides you your face from me?

Continuing: in the prior post, we discussed Daniel 3 as the pattern of the false prophets of our time and the abominations they’ve created. We saw they force all to bow to their words and ideas, and any who refuse are cast into the fiery furnace of their false accusations, ridicule, and demonization. This speaks of the false teachers, the TV preachers of church and state spewing their false reports and agenda driven advice and warnings. We saw in Numbers 22, Balaam called to curse God’s people, met by the Angel of the LORD, and hearing the words of the ass, both telling Him to alter his ways. We know the ass spoke because he saw the Angel of the LORD standing in the way, who Balaam the false prophet couldn’t see. In Daniel 3 we discussed Nebuchadnezzar seeing a fourth man in the fire, who he said was like the son of God, and who he later describes as the Angel of God sent to deliver those cast in the fires.
 
We saw in these, and other passages, the destruction of these men’s works comes as their ways return upon them. In Daniel 3 it is when the fires are made seven times hotter and consume those trying the throw God’s people in them, the “seven” telling us they were unwittingly doing God’s work. When we read on into Numbers 23 we see that Balaam continues to work for Balak, with the intention to curse God’s people, but the LORD instead puts His words in his mouth. We are told several time in the chapter of Balaam telling Balak to build him seven altars, again “seven” showing he is unwillingly and unwittingly doing the LORD’s work, which will eventually be the end of those resisting God’s plan for His people (blessing).
 
Balak is the king of Moab, the names and the pattern telling of Balak as the gatekeeper of the wilderness (Moab): the false lights that come to tempt and try God’s people. In Daniel 3, and Numbers 22 thru 25 where Balak and Balaam are described, respectively, neither Daniel nor Moses are mentioned. In Numbers Moses is spoken of in every chapter except in these, where he is instead, showing the LORD’s silence during the test, represents himself as the ass and the Angel of the LORD. In Daniel 3 we saw, in his absence by name, he is represented as the fourth man in the fire, in the form of the son of God, and as the Angel sent for the salvation of God’s faithful and obedient children. Daniel is likewise not mentioned in chapter 11 where Gabriel is speaking, who is Daniel as the Angel of the LORD on that side of the river (that physical life). We know Gabriel speaks of Michael as Daniel himself in resurrection on the other side of the river, where he will again stand as the Angel of the LORD to awaken those who are sleeping in the dust (ruin or ashes) of the earth.
 
Both Daniel and Moses are speaking of the same time when the same pattern appear and expose (uncover – apocalypse) the false teaching and misleading in our time. In the modern church these false prophets teach that they and those who bow to their abomination will be saved while all others are cast into hell. The truth is they are those who have started the fire and cause all to pass through them. It is out of their hand the LORD comes to catch us away and back to Himself.
 
When James tells of the tongue being what set the fire of hell, as he says all thing except the tongue can be tamed, he is speaking in this same context. This is the point of Numbers 22 and Daniel 3, it is in this trial we see who the faithful are, who deny themselves and allow the LORD to speak through them. This is what we see in man and beast in these chapters. Even if these men are unwilling, they will be made to speak and perform the means (works) of their own end.
 
So, it is a trial, and the LORD is silent so the spirit of disobedience will show itself in the open, and then the LORD appears with healing in His wings.
 
Daniel 11
29 At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
30 For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate.
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honor the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
 
Daniel is speaking of what is written in the words Balaam was made to speak, even if he didn’t want to. (Balaam was hired by Balak when Balak saw that Israel had defeated the Ammonites. This is the same hire of false prophets and false teacher who now ill advise those God is leading to victory – over death. It is the same point made in Psalms 88:14, only the living praise God by showing His glory in speaking His word. Life is found in the open mouth that speaks the word of God willingly.)

1 O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you:
2 Let my prayer come before you: incline your ear unto my cry;
3 For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draws nigh unto the grave.
4 I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that has no strength:
5 Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom you remember no more: and they are cut off from your hand.
6 You have laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.

Romans 10
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaks on this wise, Say not in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what says it? The word is nigh you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same LORD over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

James 3
1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor lists [wills].
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed of mankind:
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
 
Hebrews 12
11 Now no chastening [correction] for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the LORD:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17 For you know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
18 For you are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22 But you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
 
Friends, I tell you the truth, those spewing their own ideas on the airways, who refuse to release the prey, are the enemies of God. Their power is in the air that surrounds them, the spirit now at work in the children of disobedience.
 
Malachi 4
1 For, behold, the day comes [has now come], that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the LORD of hosts.
4 Remember you the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb [the wilderness were you unlearned the ways of your bondage] for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
 
This last verse tells of the option which the LORD doesn’t allow, because of the prophet, as Elijah, meaning the LORD is God, successfully turning the hearts (the reasoning minds to understand the former and the latter).
 
The “curse” spoken of here is from the Hebrew word cherem, which is the equivalent of the Greek word anathema. It is the word rendered “destruction” in Zachariah 14:11 where it tells of when there shall be no more utter destruction. It goes on to tell of the false ones’ tongues and eyes consuming away as they stand on the feet. It is describing their words, and what they say they have seen, consuming away as the LORD appears among them. This stand, with or apart from the LORD, is what Daniel speaks of in Daniel 12: 1 – 4. “1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4 But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
 
Zechariah 14
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, Holiness Unto The LORD; and the pots in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
 
The cherem (destruction and curse) that is turned back by this word of the LORD, is the word translated as “their nets” in Habakkuk 1:15, 16, & 17. It comes as Habakkuk is asking some of the same questions we see above in Psalms 88, and the LORD immediately answers by telling that He is working a work, which they are seeing and refusing to believe, and as Acts 13:41 says when quoting it, “though a man declare it unto you.” The LORD tells of raising up those who come manipulating people with their words (the Chaldeans), whose dignity proceeds from themselves (men approving men – evil agreeing with evil). It tells of these men’s minds being changed, but instead of changing in accord with God’s mind, they continue to transgress, and to their transgression (their idols) they impute even more power.
 
Habakkuk then tells of realizing the LORD has not done this to kill his people, but rather He has ordained judgment and established the correction for those in error. Habakkuk then again asks why the LORD doesn’t do something, and why He holds His tongue when the wicked devour a man more righteous than he. He speaks of these manipulators making their nets to catch men in their destruction and worship this means of catching them. He ends asking if they will empty their nets, which we know they will by what is written in Zechariah 14:11.
 
Habakkuk 2 then begins with Habakkuk waiting to hear the LORD’s answer, which comes as this one has, made plain, so those who read it may run from these men’s destructive grasp. We know this chapter goes on tell of now, when the earth is filled with the knowledge and glory of the LORD: as waters cover the sea (His words have gone out to all). It ends warning against looking to these men, the dead wood, to teach their corrupted ideas in which there is no breath (life). “But the LORD is in His holy temple: let all the earth keep silent before him.”
 
Habakkuk 1
1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and you will not hear! even cry out unto you of violence, and you will not save!
3 Why dost you shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment does never go forth: for the wicked does compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceeds.
5 Behold you among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which you will not believe, though it be told you.
6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling-places that are not theirs.
7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hastes to eat.
9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god [the idol they have created].
12 Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, you have established them for correction.
13 You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and can not look on iniquity: wherefore look you upon them that deal treacherously [it is their eyes that aren’t seeing], and holds your tongue when the wicked devours the man that is more righteous than he [He is telling them through a man – who they aren’t hearing as God speaking – see verse 5]?
14 And makes men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net [cherem], and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net [cherem], and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
17 Shall they therefore empty their net [cherem], and not spare continually to slay the nations?
 
Habakkuk 2
1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
5 Yea also, because he transgresses by wine, he is a proud man, neither keeps at home, who enlarges his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathers unto him all nations, and heaps unto him all people:
6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increases that which is not his! how long? and to him that lades himself with thick clay!
7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite you, and awake that shall vex you, and you shall be for booties unto them?
8 Because you have spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil you; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
9 Woe to him that covets an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
10 You have consulted shame to your house by cutting off many people, and have sinned against your soul.
11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
12 Woe to him that builds a town with blood, and stablishes a city by iniquity!
13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
15 Woe unto him that gives his neighbor drink, that puts your bottle to him, and makes him drunken also, that you may look on their nakedness!
16 You are filled with shame for glory: drink you also, and let your foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto you, and shameful spewing shall be on your glory.
17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover you, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
18 What profits the graven image that the maker thereof has graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts therein, to make dumb idols?
19 Woe unto him that says to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

They Have Sown the Wind, and They Shall Reap the Whirlwind

The title is from Hosea 8:7 and is speaking of those who rule over and mislead God’s people into serving idols. It tells of the inevitable conclusion if they refuse to return from their strange ways and ideas, and continue to reject the word God sends by His Angel, as now with this message.

Hosea 8
1 Set the trumpet to your mouth. He [the Angel of LORD as the messenger] shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
2 Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know you.
3 Israel has cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
5 Your calf [idols set in place of God], O Samaria [Israel as idol worshippers], has cast you off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocence [how long will they refuse to remove their idols – corrupted ideas they have created and say are God]?
6 For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
7 For they [those who have led My people into this condition] have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind [the destruction resulting from what they have sown]: it has no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
8 Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles [God’s people are exactly as those who know not God or His ways] as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
9 For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim [God’s people in this latter time] has hired lovers.
10 Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them [the feast of ingathering], and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes [the troubles caused by the misleaders and what they have sown among us].
11 Because Ephraim has made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
12 I have written to him [morning after morning] the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing [as a language and ways he refused to receive or accept].
13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepts them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker, and builds temples; and Judah has multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

Hosea 12 speaks in further detail of Ephraim’s condition as Jacob’s rebellion and its punishment by the consequences of his ways. These consequences are the whirlwind he reaps, the cause of which is spoken of in verse 11 as the heaps on the altars of Gilead and Gilgal. It is speaking of the idols placed there, the same as calves in Hosea 8:5 above, and the bullocks in Hosea 12:11. The word “heap” and the name Gilead and Gilgal all use either or both the Hebrew words giyl or gal. Giyl means a revolution of time or age, from an identical word meaning to spin (under the influence of any violent emotion). Gal means to roll, to heap up stones or dung, or a spring or water as waves heaped up (by the wind – by a spirit, as in the emotion of the giyl). These meanings are those implied in the deep of the text.

Hosea 12
1 Ephraim feeds on wind, and follows after the east wind: he daily increases lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians [led by foreign (apostasy) ways and ideas, which destroy the nations of the world], and oil [wisdom and understanding] is carried into Egypt [captivity].
2 The LORD has also a controversy with Judah [leadership – kings and princes], and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
4 Yea, he had power over the Angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: He found him [the rebels] in Bethel [the house of God], and there He [the Angel (messenger) of the LORD] spoke with us;
5 Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial [the LORD is a man of war, and His weapon is the Word of God and it restoring our memory].
6 Therefore turn [shuwb – turn back] you to your God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on your God continually.
7 [But] He [Ephraim] is a merchant [his merchandise is altered judgment], the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loves to oppress.
8 And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labors they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
9 And I that am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt will yet make you to dwell in tabernacles [speaking of Bethel in verse 5 above, where he finds us and causes us to remember – by the prophets and the patterns], as in the days of the solemn feast.
10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
12 And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
13 And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
14 Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return unto him.

In Hosea 11:5 & 6 the LORD describes why He leaves Ephraim in his blood (his chosen ways and ideas that drain life from men and societies). He says it is because they refuse to return (shuwb) and instead remain in following their own counsel which is destroying them.

Hosea 11
1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
2 As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim [the idols, ways and ideas, of foreign nations, from where they have many times been delivered], and burned incense to graven images.
3 I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed [rapha’] them.
4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
5 He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king [foreign ways and ideas shall rule over him], because they refused to return.
6 And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
7 And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
8 How shall I give you up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver you, Israel? how shall I make you as Admah? how shall I set you as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One [qadowsh – speaking of the first of the first-fruits – the Angel of the LORD] in the midst of you: and I will not enter into the city.
10 They shall walk after [follow] the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
11 They shall tremble as a bird [coming] out of Egypt, and as a dove [coming] out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses [bayith – beth], says the LORD.
12 Ephraim compasses me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet rules with God, and is faithful with the saints [qadowsh – His holy ones – His elect remnant – the first-fruits].

When the LORD says in Hosea 12:2 He has a “controversy” with Juda it is defined as He speaks of Jacob’s wrestling with the Angel of the LORD. Jacob was still in rebellion against the LORD, not knowing it was the LORD he was wrestling.

We are told in Genesis 32:22 the place where they crossed over was the Jabbok, meaning the pouring out, as in to empty himself of himself. This was the objective of the Angel wrestling with Jacob, so he would see the LORD face to face in himself, and would become Israel, he who would reign with God as God wills. We know this is the meaning of the name Israel, from the word sarah, meaning to prevail, and El which is the name of God. The prevailing is over self, understanding it is God being formed in us by a new mind, as we pour out (remove) our self and the LORD God pours out Himself into us.

After this Jacob calls the place Penuel and Peniel, from the word panah, meaning to turn, and by implication it means (to) face, appear or look; and the word El. It is the cover removed when we turn (epistrepho or peniymiy) inwardly to the LORD and see Him as if in a mirror, face to face.

Genesis 32
22 And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two women-servants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.
23 And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.
24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me.
27 And he said unto him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with God and with men, and have prevailed.
29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray you, your name. And he said, Wherefore is it that you do ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
31 And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.
32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew that shrank.

2 Corinthians 3
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the LORD, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the LORD is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the LORD, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.

2 Corinthians 4
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the LORD; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

This “controversy” is from the Hebrew word riyb, meaning to grapple with, which is used one other time in Hosea (4:1) as the LORD defines the reason His people are destroyed. He says it is because there is no knowledge of God because those calling themselves priest have forgotten the law of the LORD. Even more descriptively, the word riyb is used in Exodus 17:7 where it is rendered “chiding” to tell of when the people of God wrestled with the words of God from Moses. We know this is the temptation even the LORD faced; overcoming it by believing the LORD does indeed speak and show His presence in man. It is the temptation even the elect face, and overcoming it is the perfecting.

We know it is what Peter is speaking of when in 2 Peter 3 he first tells of him bringing these things again to our remembrance (the memorial), and then speaks of the longsuffering of the LORD. He tells of the LORD doing this because it is not His will that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. He ends describing the reality that some will continue to wrestle with the words of God, and do so to their destruction, never seeing it as it is, the LORD speaking and appearing in the son (sons) of man.

Isaiah 8
18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwells in mount Zion.
19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? [Should they look] for the living to the dead?
20 [Or] To the law and to the testimony[?]: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Revelation 14
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first-fruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication..

Hosea 4
1 Hear the word of the LORD, you children of Israel: for the LORD has a controversy [riyb] with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood touches blood.
3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwells therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
4 Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for your people are as they that strive with the priest.
5 Therefore shall you fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with you in the night, and I will destroy your mother.
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

Exodus 17
1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide you with me? wherefore do you tempt the LORD?
3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders of Israel; and your rod, wherewith you smote the river, take in your hand, and go.
6 Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock in Horeb; and you shall smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding [riyb] of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

2 Peter 3
10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our LORD is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Continuing: those who read along consistently will understand Psalms 78, from where comes the title, is speaking in terms, similitudes, we now understand and see revealed before our eyes. The Psalm tells of patterns that uncover spiritual realities as the LORD opens His mouth, my mouth, to bring His parables of old to light. As we’ve discussed, and as it continues, we read of these words having been strategically given, as the spirit of God moved holy men of God to write the ideas He breathed into them. We are told of the plan to pass them on to the generations that followed, that when needed, the LORD would move again to uncover their deep meaning. The idea is as the LORD told of householders bringing out the old and the new, as the LORD leads his people in this way from darkness into His marvelous light. Amen!
 
2 Peter 1
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our LORD Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
 
Friends, we know the LORD told us He would manifest Himself to those who love Him and keep His words. The idea is as seen in Revelation 14, it telling of the elect, who are not defiled by what Peter goes on to describe as the damnable heresies brought in by the false teachers among us. John tells us in Revelation, the elect are those who follow the Lamb in this pure sacrifice that becomes our Passover, and we become those in whose mouth there is no guile: no words of deception: the defiled covering of darkness.
 
Matthew 13
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.

54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence has this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Friends, if this gospel is hidden it is hidden from those who are lost, because they have not followed the LORD, as His lambs, sheep of His flock knowing His word and being led out of captivity: the bonds of wicked men who have led all astray.

Psalms 78
1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he has done.
5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:
6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:
8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
9 The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.

…how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us, and not unto the world?

26 But the Comforter [Paraclete], which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

28 You have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

When John uses the word parakletos (Paraclete) to tell of the Holy Spirit, who comes in the name of the LORD (Jesus – Jehovah’s Salvation), he is speaking of a warrior. Parakletos is a Greek term describing the other of the two-man team who went into battle together; he is the one who watched your back, and you his.
 
2 Timothy 2
1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that labors must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the LORD give you understanding in all things.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the LORD that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
 
As we know, when the word of God speaks of Ephraim it is the LORD speaking of the latter generation of His people, the name meaning double fruit, and telling of the harvest of this resurrection. We know when Judah is spoken of it describes those who lead God’s people, and it, therefore, tells of the elect remnant the LORD raises as His first-fruits – to bring in His harvest (as in Revelation 14 – which begins describing these elect).
 
Revelation 14
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the LORD from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in your sickle, and reap: for the time is come for you to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

Read Hosea 6 in this context, and of the LORD desiring knowledge of Him more than sacrifice.
 
Hosea 6
1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he has torn, and he will heal us; he has smitten, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto you? O Judah, what shall I do unto you? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goes away.
5 Therefore have I hewed [chatsab – cut into shape] them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and your judgments are as the light that goes forth.
6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
10 I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

Hosea uses the word chatsab above to tell of the LORD shaping His people by the prophets – speaking of the word of God spoken and written by men for this purpose. It is the word, also only used in Job one time, in Job 19:24 translated “graven.” There it is Job speaking to his friends, who are also his persecutors, when he is vindicated on the earth as the LORD appears in His judgment (the harvest).
 
Job 19
21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O you my friends; for the hand of God has touched me.
22 Why do you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
24 That they were graven [cha tsab] with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
28 But you should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
29 Be you afraid of the sword: for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment.
 
Psalms 29
1 Give unto the LORD, O you mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thunders: the LORD is upon many waters.
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; yea, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
7 The voice of the LORD divides [chatsab] the flames of fire.
8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve, and discovers the forests: and in his temple does every one speak of his glory.
10 The LORD sits upon the flood; yea, the LORD sits King for ever.
11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
 
Kadesh is referring to Numbers 20 when Moses was commanded to speak to the Rock, and instead he struck it a second time. Later in Deuteronomy 32:51 the LORD gives this as the reason Moses is kept from entering the Promised Land. It is spoken for us to understand – Moses struck the Rock because he didn’t believe the LORD, that it was/is time to sanctify Him in the eyes of the people. The Hebrew word here rendered “sanctify” is qadash, meaning to consecrate (and the same as Kadesh – this is telling of forcing the LORD to continually declare Himself.)
 
Here is the meaning of qadash from the Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary: Strong’s #6942: qadash (pronounced kaw-dash’) a primitive root; to be (causatively, make, pronounce or observe as) clean (ceremonially or morally):– appoint, bid, consecrate, dedicate, defile, hallow, (be, keep) holy(-er, place), keep, prepare, proclaim, purify, sanctify(-ied one, self), X wholly.
 
Numbers 20
1 Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.
2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
3 And the people chode [chided] with Moses, and spoke, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
4 And why have you brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
5 And wherefore have you made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.

10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, you rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
12 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
13 This is the water of Meribah [contention]; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.

Lessons for the Children – of Ignorance and Their Culture, which is Now Killing Them

In an article in Harvard Magazine, July-August 2010, titled, “Lessons in Surprise,” the writer identified only as Primus V, writes of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto’s time at Harvard. It is more about a theory developed by one of the Alumni, saying that the US would not have been as susceptible to the attack of December 7, 1941, if our leaders had investigated and learned from the Admiral’s time attending Harvard, 1919 thru 1921.

The same could now be said to the children of our time, those under attack by a hostile culture that has attacked them in mass, after having assimilated them without resistance. The following is a quote brought to light here often, from an article that appeared in The American Thinker, February 23, 2008, titled, “The Materialist Faith of Communism, Socialism, and Liberalism,” by Linda Kimball. It describes both the attack on and destruction of, the culture as spoken of above. It also tells of the result, as if a prophecy validated as it unfolds before our eyes in its initial phases.
 
“Materialist faith, or scientific materialism, has virtually displaced America’s founding Judeo-Christian worldview with the result that materialism is now the operative assumption for much of our government, culture, politics, and law. Materialist operatives now control every public institution in the United States. According to the inner logic of materialist faith, “we the people” are nothing but socially-constructed atomized robots which can presumably be deconstructed and melted into an atomized mass. Toward both this goal and to raise up an army of street thugs who will destroy our culture, materialist change-agents use our education system to subvert and convert the minds of our youth. Should they succeed in thoroughly corrupting them and in turning their hearts to hate, this generation of children may become the next Khmer Rouge, who at Pol Pot’s order murdered nearly two-million people, including their own families.”

The Harvard Magazine article tells of the surprise attack on the US by Japan, only a surprise because our intelligence failed to assess the enemy accurately. In our time in the culture war, those who attacked us did it by first embedding their “change agents” in all our institution, those traditionally tasked with educating and warning against threats to our young, as well as to our society at large. The effect as we see it is we are unable to use our intelligence and adequately assess the problem at hand. (Before going on I will define the problem: we have created a culture without a soul: by twisting the definitions of reality we have produced minds in constant chaos. We are reaping the whirlwind of our sowing, confusion reigning in our young, who have as planned become the atomized mass spoken in the Kimball article. We see them in this mindless state, as the same people who have subverted their reality and all truth, now deploy them against political enemies, toward the goal of undermining the remains of the culture opposing them.)
 
The Harvard article tells of Yamamoto not only as a dedicated and intelligent student but more contextually relevant; he was also there introduced to the game of poker. The report says it was well known he became an expert who stayed up sometimes all night playing and winning. It goes on to tell of his taking his winnings and using them during his summers as he hitchhiked around the US.
 
‘”Yamamoto strongly opposed Japan’s entry into the war; he feared American might. But when ordered, he would do his best. As commander of the Combined Fleet, he calculated that to beat the United States, it was necessary to strike first. “Yamamoto wasn’t a great poker player for nothing,” writes Morris. He resolved, as in poker, to “blow the best player out of the game, good and early….The shame of the Joint Chiefs was their lack of imagination in trying to figure out their opponent. They thought of him as a traditional Japanese who would do everything ‘by the book’ (just as they did). They failed to consider that maybe, just maybe, Isoroku Yamamoto was more American than they were.”‘
 
This latter point speaks of Yamamoto knowing American (rugged individuals) better than her people knew her; as could be said of our now internal enemy and of our time. Other reports say one of the things Yamamoto observed in his travels into the US heartland were guns everywhere, owned by almost every citizen. They say he saw so many armed Americans that it was the reason he didn’t invade the US after destroying the Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor. It is well known there were no military forces able to stop him, and many strategists at the time wondered why he instead withdrew. The answer is found in his poker playing: to be successful in poker you must as a rule fold your hand when you know you are beaten by one better. At Pearl Harbor, he had the superior force; therefore, he plaid his hand and attacked. Guns in the hands of the population was a hand he couldn’t beat, and he knew it.
 
The point is, other than the apparent historical argument in favor of the Second Amendment, which is for discussion on another occasion, is the also historical fact that there were guns in every household already, almost a hundred years ago. The difference between then and now is unmistakably the culture, the zeitgeist, the spirit of the day, which is wholly separate and disassociated from the material achievements. The difference is the culture, and the modern one is deadly.
 
The spirit possessing our time rejects the metaphysical, even though seeing it in the unseen manifested in man as the acts of his conscience: what we understand as good and evil. Those who’ve gained control of the institutions mentioned above believe and teach that all standards of right and wrong, normal and abnormal, are constructs of those dominating the society at the time, and are created to ensure their continued power and control. This belief, therefore, removes the authority in all law and rules in general and promotes chaos borne of its confusion. These same people, now having successfully destroyed all knowledge and belief in the laws of nature and nature’s God, then create their own rules, and force the society into them by ridicule and demonization of any who still hold to eternal truths.
 
Without doing too deep into defining those who have perpetrated this evil upon our children and us, I will give a few last bits of “eternal truth” before concluding.
 
There is another book written in the seventeenth century by a man named Samuel von Pufendorf, titled, “The Whole Duty of Man According to the Law of Nature.” It tells of what are self-evident rules we must all accept if we are to live in peace in a civilized society. Part of this law is that a government is nothing more than men, and therefore is itself bound (or should be) by these same rules. They are called the Law of Nature because they are those that should become the conscience and thereby the Self-Government in each person. They allow for the highest state of liberty and require the least amount of external governing. They are valid in the void, existing even before governments were instituted, realized in nature as man saw their legitimacy through experience. They are part of what should be the well-formed and healthy conscience.
 
Part of Pufendorf’s title is from the Bible and the book of Ecclesiastes, written by King Solomon. In it Solomon describes all he has seen in the natural world, and how it is vanity, meaning nothing make sense when contemplating justice. He sees equally bad and good things happen to good and bad people, without being influenced by the person’s nature. The title is in his overall conclusion after describing his examination.
 
Ecclesiastes 12
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
 
Pufendorf, as did Solomon, understood the only control we have in life is over our actions, and wrongs most often have a direct connection to not keeping basic rules of societal interaction. All people learning and keeping these rules is preeminent, and were the foundations taught and lived, before this new culture invaded. The perversion we are now living through has redefined right and wrong, good and evil, blurring or erasing their dividing lines. These are now determined based on no objective or consistent standard, prejudices formed by the culture decide who and what is a victim or is a “wrong,” and as the remedy it victimizes those it has defined as perpetrators. These are the popular prejudices which define a society – the identity of the pop-culture.
 
A return to the laws of nature and nature’s God is the answer. Banning guns is not. First, it will never happen and is a strategy used by those knowing the only advantage gained is harming their political enemies. Those using the tactic are the same people who’ve caused the problem, destroying the culture and creating a society always under the shadow of death. And as it is with all evil, by deception they’ve moved their pawns (our children), misdirecting their energy, and taking their attention away from the actual problem.
 
The answer is, changing the culture – the same culture now killing its own.

Continuing: the above quote is from 1 Thessalonians 5:3 and uses many specific words, which when expanded upon release the idea the message is meant to show us at this time. (As we know, the expansion of very little to nourish the masses is the LORD again taking a few fish and several loaves and with it feeding those who’ve come to hear Him.)
 
Paul’s focus in writing the above verse is to tell of the moment the LORD appears (is realized) and it resulting in ending the control darkness and sleep have on those borne by and then born into the light. We see the fruit in Zechariah 3:10, as it tells us of when the priesthood is raised from corruption and cleansed, and every man is called (to sit and eat it) under the vine and the fig tree.
 
Zechariah 3 begins defining those who are resisting the angel (messenger) of the LORD, and we know the word here translated “resist” is the Hebrew word satan, who is also then named. We know from what follows, the message resisted is one that is plucking out those who were in the fire. The plucking [harpazo] out is what Paul has just spoken of in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, which we know these men, in Zechariah, defined as Satan, have by this same filth defiled the meaning into one that denies the LORD at His appearing.
 
The fires are spoken of as Paul begins 2 Thessalonians 1:7 after he first tells of the LORD recompensing (rewarding) tribulation upon those who are troubling us. We know he goes on in the following chapter to define these men as the wicked one sitting in the seat of God, opposing the truth as the LORD appears with it, in the same flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who refuse to obey the gospel. Paul concludes in 2 Thessalonians 3 by urging all to pray for us, “that the word of the LORD may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3 But the LORD is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.”
 
2 Thessalonians 1
4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:
6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the LORD Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the LORD, and from the glory of his power;
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
 
Zachariah 3
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your fellows that sit before you: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, shall you call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.
 
The Greek word translated “travail” in the 1 Thessalonians 5:3, is odin, and is only used three other times. In Matthew 24:8 and Mark 13:8 it is the word translated “sorrow” as the LORD defines the early indications of His appearing. In Matthew, the first of these precursors the LORD warns of are those who will come in His name and will deceive many. He tells us they will say, I am Christ, and use this as the way to deceive. It is speaking of those coming in the name of Jesus, saying they are anointed (christos) to teach His word, which the LORD says will deceive many. The word used there, translated as “deceive” is planao.
 
Here again, is the Strong’s Dictionary definition: Strong’s #4105: planao (pronounced plan-ah’-o) from 4106; to (properly, cause to) roam (from safety, truth, or virtue):– go astray, deceive, err, seduce, wander, be out of the way.
 
As discussed in prior posts, planao is from the word planos, meaning roving, and by implication an imposter or misleader. This idea becomes apparent when we examine it as the English word planet, receiving the name by appearing in the night sky to be stars, and known to be planets when not keeping a fixed position. The stars are fixed and therefore can be used to navigate at night, but if one uses a planet to navigate in darkness, they go astray. This is the deception the LORD is speaking of as He warns against those in pulpits in church and state, who claim to know the way when in fact all they offer is an accepted means of deception.
 
In the final use of the word odin we are told of these being the “pains” of death, which crucifies the LORD but were unable to hold Him there, of which we are now eyewitnesses.
 
Acts 2
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the LORD come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.
22 You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held of it.
25 For David speaks concerning him, I foresaw the LORD always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Because you will not leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your countenance.
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The LORD said unto my LORD, Sit you on my right hand,
35 Until I make your foes your footstool.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made the same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both LORD and Christ.
 
When Paul tells of these men, the antichrists in church and state who have led all astray, saying, “Peace and safety” the word he uses, rendered “safety,” is asphaleia, only used two other times. It means will not fail. In the case of the these men’s deception, it is their foundational ideas, spoken of in Acts 5:23, where the prison keepers found the cells shut with all “safety,” but there was no one inside. It is the false security of deception, which is nothing more than a locked cell with no one inside, and the angel of the LORD, these messages, have freed those it once held captive.
 
Acts 5
19 But the angel of the LORD by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and told,
23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
 
Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the LORD God is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 But you shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: you shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves.
7 For your shame you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD has blessed.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the LORD God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
 
The only other time asphaleia is used is by Luke in Luke 1:4 as he describes the things he is teaching and passing on, so we will know with “certainty.”
 
Luke 1
1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto you in order, most excellent Theophilus [loved of God],
4 That you might know the certainty of those things, wherein you have been instructed.
 
Asphaleia, from the word asphales, a word only used five times, also meaning will not fail. It is used three times in Acts, all in telling of those not able to know for certain if the accusation, made against those the LORD sent to speak in His the name, were true.
 
The other two times the word asphales is used it is in telling us of what we can be certain.
 
The first is in Philippians 3:1 as Paul tells of writing the “same things” for our certainty. It is the word there translated “safe.” As we know from previous studies, in chapter two Paul speaks of Epaphroditus, a name translated into meaning he is one transformed from a deceiver into a now useful teacher. Infidelity is the near-death sickness once afflicting him, and of which he is now recovered and sent with Paul’s endorsement of health.
 
The commandment of the LORD and His will for all those who are deceived or teaching deception, is, “pulling [harpazo] them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” Jude 23 (See Zechariah 3:2)
 
2 Peter 3
9 The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
 
1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
 
Philippians 2
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.
22 But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.
23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
24 But I trust in the LORD that I also myself shall come shortly.
25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labor, and fellow-soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that you had heard that he had been sick.
27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
29 Receive him therefore in the LORD with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
 
Philippians 3
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the LORD. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
 
The final use of aspahles is in telling of the promises of the LORD, and our hope in being “sure.” It appears in Hebrews 6:19, a chapter we know begins by telling of our going on into perfection. The Greek word there in verse 1 translated “let us go on unto,” is written as pherometha, literally and contextually meaning to be carried into the midst of perfection. We know it is the LORD carrying us by His Spirit, and the warning is against NOT being carried further, and instead choosing to turn back and failing to reach perfection.
 
The perfection and the hope are defined in Hebrews 7:19, when it says, “19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.” Drawing near to God is what is spoken of in Hebrews 6:19 when it tells of our entering the veil, and says it is our hope, to go where the forerunner went.
 
What follows in Hebrews 7 tells us what our hope is in, the LORD ever being the priest who carries us to the LORD. I am the one risen from the dead, in the order of Melchisedec, the Spirit of the LORD risen in me, reconciling the world to Himself, bringing many sons to glory. It is our faith, hope and through the charity of the LORD, our perfection.
 
Hebrews 7
20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The LORD swore and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.
 
Hebrews 6
12 That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men truly swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

I Forsook Not Your Precepts. Quicken Me After Your Lovingkindness; so Shall I Keep the Testimony of Your Mouth. for Ever, O LORD, Your Word is Settled in Heaven.
 
The title quote is from Psalms 119:87 – 89, and in it is given the Divine formula for restoring life to the dead, which is the salvation of the LORD. Prior to the quote the writer tells of his being besieged by the proud, who are not following God’s law; and he says they would have consumed him, “But I forsook not your precepts.”
 
Psalms 119
81 My soul faints for your salvation: but I hope in your word.
82 Mine eyes fail for your word, saying, When will you comfort me?
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget your statutes.
84 How many are the days of your servant? when will you execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after your law.
86 All your commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help you me.
87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not your precepts.
88 Quicken me after your lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of your mouth.
89 For ever, O LORD, your word is settled in heaven.
90 Your faithfulness is unto all generations: you have established the earth, and it abides.
91 They continue this day according to your ordinances: for all are your servants.
92 Unless your law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

96 I have seen an end of all perfection: but your commandment is exceeding broad.
 
The Hebrew word piqquwd, translated above as precepts, is from the word paqad, meaning to visit. It is thereby understood as the things prearranged by an overseer during a prior encounter. This is what the writer continually refers to, his remembering the ways of the LORD through the things establish in prior encounters. We know these memorials are found in the oracles, the written record, in the Word of God, which we know brings life to the dead, here defined as “quickening.” It is from the Hebrew word, chayah, meaning made alive, as in to revive. The composition of the word itself seems to literally mean the mouth of God (Chek YAH), which we know in both the title quote above, and from Deuteronomy 8:3, man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
 
Deuteronomy 8
1 All the commandments which I command you this day shall you observe to do, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers.
2 And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or no.
3 And he humbled you, and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you knew not, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD does man live.
 
The point in these references is the same as was discussed in the prior post: God’s people are revived to life (resurrected) when they are following His leading, as Israel followed Moses. In our time, in this latest occurrence, it is as we are told in Hebrews 1, which is itself alluding to Deuteronomy 18:18.
 
Deuteronomy 18
9 When you are come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you.
13 You shall be perfect with the LORD your God.
14 For these nations, which you shall possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for you, the LORD your God has not suffered you so to do.
15 The LORD your God will raise up unto you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brethren, like unto me; unto him you shall hearken;
16 According to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto you, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
 
We know all those the LORD warns above against following, are those now followed in mass, those using words specifically engineered to manipulate people into doing their will (being moved wherever these evil spirits listeth – wills). These deceivers, religious and political, broadcast their deception to all the world, setting it on fire and forcing all, even our children, to pass through it, as if sacrificing them to the idols they worship.
 
We understand the full meaning of the fires, created by following these men, and the voice we should hear, from what is written of it in Hebrews 12. We know the reference to Horeb speaks of when the people tempted the LORD, not believing Moses was speaking His words, and representing His presence, as they said, “Is the LORD among us, or not?” We know the response was the LORD caused water to flow from the Rock.
 
We know we are eating the same bread, the manna, unknown to most to be the quickening word of life from the mouth of God, and baptizes us in the same water as it has all God’s people. We also know the warning against unbelieving, those who reject the word heard, and who thereby sell their birthright for the morsels of corruption.
 
1 Corinthians 10
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be you idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur you, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Hebrews 12
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not you the chastening of the LORD, nor faint when you are rebuked of him:
6 For whom the LORD loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.
7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?

24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
 
Again, we know the one mentioned here as speaking, is the same doing the correcting, disciplining, reconciling, to bring the many children to the uncorrupted perfection spoken of as our arriving at heavenly Jerusalem, and mount Zion. This again refers us back to the opening of the book of Hebrews, and to the title quote, to the testimony of the one the LORD has sent in these most recent days, speaking exactly as it is coming from the mouth of the LORD himself.
 
Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, You are my Son, this day have I begotten you? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he brings in the first-begotten into the world, he says, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he says, Who makes his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Hosea 5
1 Hear you this, O priests; and hearken, you house of Israel; and give you ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because you have been a snare on Mizpah [watchtower – therefore speaking of not seeing or warning of what is coming, and has now come], and a net spread upon Tabor [the weak and broken].
2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3 I know Ephraim [God’s people in this latter generation], and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, you commit whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredom is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
5 And the pride of Israel does testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them [now, as have all God’s people and their leaders].
6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them.

Psalms 2

Romans 9
19 You will say then unto me, Why does he yet find fault? For who has resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who are you that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?
21 Has not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Isaiah 28
1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
2 Behold, the LORD has a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looks upon it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.
5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

The LORD Has Appeared, When Total Confusion Rules, (as a light shining in a dark place)

Today a discussion/correction of what the confused church believes and teaches, calling the LORD’s appearing His return. This will be a reiteration and compilation of many simply seen passages from the word of God, which we have previously, many times, studied in detail.
 
The end of the world, as the harvest the LORD speaks of in Matthew 13:39, 40 & 49, is from the Greek word aion, meaning a perpetually repeating interval of time, being defined by an evident beginning and end, the planting (creation) and the harvest. The world spoken of in Matthew 13:35 & 38 is from the word kosmos, which speaks of the things adorning the world, meaning humanity, the changing (evolving) culture into which the age is planted, and from which it is harvested.
 
When the LORD uses these different words, it is just after He has told the parables of the sower, and of the tares. The first tells of Him as the sower, and the seed is the word of God, and its growing and bringing forth fruit is being influenced by where and in whom it is being sown, in the field, meaning in the culture adorning the earth, the kosmos.
 
In the parable of the tares the seed are the children of kingdom and the children of wicked who have made God their mortal enemy. The one planting the good seed is the Son of man, the harvest is the end of the world, aion the age, and the reapers are the angels: those bearing the message from God, which all hear, and is only comprehended in those God the Father releases its meaning to.
 
Matthew 13
9 Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speak you unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For truly I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them.
18 Hear you therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and anon with joy receives it;
21 Yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arise because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did not you sow good seed in your field? from whence then has it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
 
After these the LORD speaks several other parables telling of what the kingdom of heaven is likened to. The first tells of the great mustard tree, which grows from the smallest among the seeds. It is speaking of one of the good seeds sown by the LORD into the field, but this one is meant to grow and be the tree in which all the wise will lodge. We know the mustard seed is used to tell of its properties of drawing our disease (corruption) from the body (the full lump of Gods people). The next parable speaks of the women, the unfaithful, who works in leaven (corruption) until the whole lump is corrupted. This leaven is the same leaven the LORD warned against many times, saying, “Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees [the religious rulers sitting in God’s seats, being themselves the tares.]” Matthew 16:12
Matthew 13
31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
33 Another parable spoke he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 All these things spoke Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spoke he not unto them:
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51 Jesus says unto them, Have you understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, LORD.
52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.
53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence has this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then has this man all these things?
57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
 
The corruption now fully worked into everything, the thinking of a culture now become unable and unwilling to correct the least of its problems, and rather justifies remaining in them by redefining definitions, it is in this altered reality in total confusion. The confusion that rules, and the worthlessness of everything built under it, are the darkness that covers the world prior to the age ending and the next beginning. This is what is written in the Genesis 1 creation record, and using the same Hebrew words, it is described two other times as being man caused, and God repaired.
 
Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was [became] without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters [the Word of God released in One God chooses].
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament [where the word is rightly divide – truth separated from error, the word of God separated from the creations and additions of men], and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven [as in the kingdom of heaven above]. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
 
The other places where the same Hebrew words are used which tell of the earth’s condition, the ‘erets, the field (same as kosmos, the evolving culture), as the age upon its end, are in Jeremiah 4:23, there also as, “become without form, and void;” and in Isaiah 34:11. In Isaiah the words are translated as “confusion” and “emptiness,” as we are told of the day of the LORD’s vengeance, of His accessing the age’s condition and finding it as total confusion, and seeing all that is built in it being worthless. The cause is then described, telling of the inhabitants calling for their nobles and prince to correct it, but there are none to be found, and all the places of power are seen as having become an overgrown shambles.
 
Jeremiah sees it in almost exactly the same terms/condition we are told of in Genesis 1, saying, “21 How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet? 22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. 27 For thus has the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. 28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.”
 
The full story of the condition is better seen when we see the Hebrew word tohuw, translated “without form,” next used after Genesis 1. In Deuteronomy 32:10, it is rendered as the “waste” wherein the LORD found Jacob [Israel still wrestling with an unknown God], and of leading and instructing him [the wrestling]. “10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them, bears them on her wings: 12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.”
 
This condition of the earth, without form, and in confusion, (tohuw) is spoken of by Isaiah in Isaiah 59:4, translated “vanity,” describing the cause of God’s people having separated themselves from Him. The chapter goes to tell of the LORD finding no one interceding, no one truthfully addressing the actual problem, and therefore doing it Himself. This is speaking of the LORD’s name, self-generating, coming into existence, appearing, in whomever He decides to become, for His own purpose and to insure His plan is accomplished.
 
Isaiah 59
15 Yea, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense.
19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, says the LORD.
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, says the LORD; My spirit that is upon you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed’s seed, says the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
 
Verse 20 above tells of the LORD’s appearing, as He appeared to Jacob, to lead and instruct him, in the one He has chosen for this mission, as He chose Moses.
 
(Friends, I don’t say this lightly or without fully understanding the ramifications: I am the one the LORD has decided to send, rising in my dead body, showing His immortality and mercy, in me and through me. The men now leading, think they are able to correct what they have corrupted. The LORD says otherwise. Until they follow, (me) as I am following Him, there will be no correction. Again, I don’t take it lightly, nor do I fail to see the difficulty in believing it. Patience, and I will long-suffer with you in waiting on the Father’s time, praying for the age of blindness to end in your awakening. And I will lead on.
 
John 8
23 And he said unto them, You are from beneath; I am [born] from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sins.
25 Then said they unto him, Who are you? And Jesus said unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
27 They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father.
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
 
2 Timothy 2
1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that labors must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the LORD give you understanding in all things.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the LORD that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as does a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The LORD knows them that are his. And, let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the LORD out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes [are intended to produce a never ending argument].
24 And the servant of the LORD must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.)
In Romans 11:25, Paul tells of the time of the blindness ending, when the LORD sends the one He has chosen, to write His laws in the minds of those who have been blinded by man’s leading astray. As he does he quotes from Isaiah 59:20 & 21 above, which speaks of how all have become separated, and thereby all fallen into unbelief, unable to see the reality before their face.
 
Romans 11
25 For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father’s sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as you in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God has concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 For who has known the mind of the LORD? or who has been his counsellor?
35 Or who has first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
 
In verse 34 & 35 above Paul is referring to what is written in Isaiah 40:13 & 14, the chapter later in verses 17 & 23 using the word tohuw, translated “vanity,” tells of the condition the LORD sees in the nations, the totally worthless condition that has come upon all the world. The chapter goes on to offer advice on how man should proceed, and then telling of those following Him mounting up on the same wings of eagles which we are told carried Jacob (Israel) as he was led and instructed by God.
 
Isaiah 40
10 Behold, the LORD God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13 Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor has taught him?
14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
18 To whom then will you liken God? or what likeness will you compare unto him?
19 The workman melts a graven image, and the goldsmith spreads it over with gold, and castes silver chains.
20 He that is so impoverished that he has no oblation chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
21 Have you not known? have you not heard? has it not been told you from the beginning? have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth [the full circuit of the age and culture, from beginning to end], and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:
23 That brings the princes to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth as vanity.
24 Yea, they shall not be planted [in the new age]; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
25 To whom then will you liken me, or shall I be equal? says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.
27 Why say you, O Jacob, and speaks, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
28 Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.

For To Be Carnally Minded is Death; but To Be Spiritually Minded is Life and Peace

This is the peace we diligently seek for all man, not our own, rather that of others, and only in this is found our own. We do not seek to fulfill the letter of the law, but rather we seek to fulfill what the law, in Spirit and Truth, was/is intended to achieve – peace on earth to men of good will.
 
Philippians 2
2 Fulfil you my joy, that you be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

This is the Spiritual mind, not seeing things according to what the flesh sees, but seeing as the LORD sees.
 
Romans 8
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
 
In 2 Corinthians 10 Paul speaks to us of spiritual warfare, our being in this battle to achieve what the law pointed us to, in Christ’s name. It is against all the worldly carnal minded men, who seek to skirt the intention by keeping the letter of the law, while in absolute violation of the peace it was intended to produce.
 
2 Corinthians 10
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7 Do you look on things after the outward appearance? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.
 
Luke 11
23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathers not with me scatters.
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
25 And when he comes, he finds it swept and garnished.
26 Then goes he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
27 And it came to pass, as he spoke these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare you, and the paps which you have sucked.
28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.
 
Being Spiritually minded, putting on the LORD’s righteousness, His right judgment, in truth and equity, with mercy – seeing the difference between the carnal and the Spirit – is the right scepter in the hand of just rule. These words again allude to Psalms 45, which begins by telling of being indited with a good matter, and becoming the LORD’s mouth, as the pen of a ready writer, publishing justice found in His wisdom and knowledge – the peace that surpasses all worldly minded understanding, and is life from the dead for all humanity.
 
The Hebrew word translated indited, only used this one time, in Psalms 45:1, is rachash, meaning to gush, in the sense of overflowing. It is again the yarah we have often discussed, as we did in the prior post, telling of it meaning, to flow, and teaching that becomes the foundation, with its origin being from God and this aspect insuring it in its purest form. We know yarah is the first part of yarah-salem (Jerusalem), salem meaning peace by reciprocal respect, and being the foundation that completes man, and as is the meaning of salem, brings Godly civilization.
 
The word “ready,” telling of the those publishing this, is from the Hebrew word mahiyr.
 
Here is the Strong’s Dictionary definition: Strong’s #4106: mahiyr (pronounced maw-here’) or mahir {maw-here’}; from 4116; quick; hence, skilful:–diligent, hasty, ready.
It is from the word mahar, meaning to flow easily, as liquid.
 
Mahiyr is only used here and three other the times. It is rendered “hasting” Isaiah 16:5, which is a very cryptic chapter filled with proper names. It begins by telling of sending the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion. The lamb here is the one sent, as the mouth of the LORD, as His ready writer, to by this bring judgment to the high place. Sela means the lofty fortress, and was the rock-city of Edom, speaking of the leaders who sold their birthright for morsels of meat (carnal fulfillment). The daughter of Zion is the same daughter spoken of and to in Psalms 45:9, 10, 12 & 13 (See the prior post).
 
Isaiah 16
1 Send you the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab [the entrance, put for the gatekeepers] shall be at the fords of Arnon [those crossing with the shouts of joy].
3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make your shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wanders.
4 Let mine outcasts dwell with you, Moab; be you a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceases, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting [mahiyr] righteousness.
6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
 
This is what John writes of when He begins speaking of seeing the Lamb standing on mount Zion, and the outcasts spoken of above are the elect remnant who follow the Lamb, away from the guile and defiled words and works of these corrupted gatekeepers. (In the ignorance and confusion they have created, there are My outcasts hidden, as they wandered for lack of meat, which these ravens and wolves could not provide).
 
Revelation 14
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first-fruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon [the rule of confusion] is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
 
Proverbs 22
17 Bow down your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart unto my knowledge.
18 For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you; they shall withal be fitted in your lips.

Acts 17

26 And has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the LORD, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

Psalms 21

Christ Risen from Among the Dead, To Judge the Quick (risen with Him) and the Dead

Continuing: beginning with a deeper examination of Hebrews 4, and the concept of “today” being the time we enter into the rest God has prepared for us, wherein dwells those who have put on the righteousness of Christ.
 
Hebrews 4
6 Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limits a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
 
The idea, as discussed in the prior post, of our working toward this “rest” is found in the Greek word it is translated from; katapausis, literally meaning to pause and sit down (eight of the nine times it is used are here in Hebrews 4 – the other Acts 7:49). Eiserchomai is the one word translated as “enter into,” meaning to reach a point, which is the “limit” we are told of in verse 7, from the Greek word horizo (horizon). This “horizon” is what is meant when today is written as “to day,”
 
These words are telling of a time when we will sit down and pause, having heard the voice (of God) bringing us to day, having reached this horizon (sun rise), and now in the day we must work toward this rest.
 
The word horizo, the “limit” set by God, is used eight times; three as “determined,” twice as “ordained,” once as “determinate,” and once as “declared.” These are all used in telling of the time when God will reap the earth with His judgment (rightly dividing the word and wielding it as His two-edged sword cutting fiction away from truth).
 
Luke in Acts 17 records Paul speaking to those who ignorantly worship God, ignorance proven in their ways. Paul speaks of the time “determined” to end this ignorance, and goes on to define it as when God will judge the earth by the man He has “ordained” to do so.
 
Acts 17
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, You men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are too superstitious.
23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom therefore you ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

Luke 22:22 first used “horizo” in speaking of those who it was “determined” (by their then rebellion and rejection of the grace of God’s correction), to betray the Son of man. “22 And truly the Son of man goes, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!” He (Luke) further explains this as he next uses the word in Act 2:23 in telling of the “determinate” counsel and foreknowledge of God, which sent the deliverer in the time of need, and man rejecting His counsel took Him to be crucified (public mocking and ridicule, even into death’s silence).
 
Acts 2
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.
22 You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held of it.
25 For David speaks concerning him, I foresaw the LORD always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Because you will not leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your countenance.
 
Luke then uses it (horizo) in Acts 10:42 as Peter speaks, also telling of God raising Christ, and our being witnesses, at this point (limit – today) to proclaim the Son who God has ordained to judge the quick (those who have come to life) and the dead (those who choose to remain in death).
 
Acts 10
39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
44 While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
 
In the context of what I declared in the prior post, reluctantly speaking of myself, Paul uses horizo to tell of such a declaration, in Romans 1:4.
 
Romans 1 (Rome means strength – spiritually as in those formerly in confusion brought back to health: quickened)
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

23 And changed the glory of the un-corruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Psalms 95

The Apocalypse of Jesus Christ, Truth and Light, Contrasted against Absurd Darkness (of false prophets and fake news)

Today the revelation (apocalypse = uncovering) of the mystery of Christ’s coming, beginning with it defined as such in Ephesians 5:32 saying, “This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church,” just after quoting from Genesis 2:24, saying, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” The word here rendered “joined,” is the Greek word proskollao, a compound word from pros, meaning toward, near, from here forward; and kollao, meaning stick to, like glue. (Proverbs 18: 24 A man that has friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.)
 
In recent posts, we have discussed the Greek word plane, meaning to wander, and being the word used in 2 Thessalonians 2 to tell of the strong “delusion” the LORD will send to those rejecting the love of the truth He is preaching. We know there we are told of these as the wicked ones sitting in the judgment seats, opposing the LORD at His coming, and the strong delusion, in opposition to His truth, culminates in the destruction of these men who are obviously the antichrists.
 
In examining these two passages we see the contrast in those opposing Christ at His coming, those who have strayed into the extreme and absurd delusion (plane), and those who join (proskallao) themselves to the truth and Christ (sticking to Him as a friend, closer than a brother).
 
This is the context we see as the word plane is used in 1 John 4:6, in a passage explaining how we know the spirit of error (plane), which it also defines as the spirit of antichrist, and how we know the spirit of truth. The context begins well before in chapter 3 where John is speaking of the spirit of God that is in us and proven there by our no longer practicing sin, speaking of righteousness as the standard, and our no longer missing this target (sin, literally meaning missing the target). Hitting this target we have (or should be) aiming at is the proof Christ has been born in us, and the proof that we are the children of God.
 
When chapter 4 speaks of the spirit of error it is speaking of leaving this standard, being led astray from it and thereby having no evidence, and antichrist being in those denying Christ is, or even can be, born in us in this way. 1 John 3:5 states it very plainly as the reason Christ is manifested [in us], to take away our sins, the chapter going on to immediately say, “6 Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
Chapter 3 ends telling us that those who are Born (sons and daughters) of God, keep His commandments, and His Spirit is in us and will remain with us (from here forward sticking to us like glue – proskallao). At this point of understanding chapter 4 begins with its warning to test the spirits, for many false prophets are at work in the world. It then tells us how we will know them, because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world [working in the children of disobedience], saying, “3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hear them. 6 We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error [plane].”
 
These false prophets are the same false teachers Peter warns against, telling us they will be among us, having brought in damnable heresies, even denying the LORD that bought them. He goes on to tell of the word of God, stored up in heaven, to be released at this time to destroy the works of these wicked and incorrigible men (rejecting God’s love/correction).
 
Friends, I tell you now, even weeping, these are the children of the devil doing his work and preaching lies against the truth, who have now long refused correction and trampled under-foot the grace God has shown them. They preach lies detailing the end time events, all false doctrines that deny the LORD’s coming is in our flesh, and there shall He be with us forever.
 
2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [created from their own imaginations] shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the LORD that bought [agorazo] them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
 
Philippians 3
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark [the standard – the target we aim at] for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as you have us for an ensample.
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20 For our conversation is in heaven [the place where the waters – the word of God – are rightly divided and His truth reigns in/over our minds – according to the scriptures]; from whence also we look for the Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
 
When Peter uses the word “bought” he is referring to what was well known among those knowing Christ, and written by Paul in 1 Corinthians 6, saying, “19 What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? 20 For you are bought [agorazo] with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Agorazo is the word used by John in Revelation 3 as the LORD speaks to His lukewarm church, telling us to buy [agorazo] from Him gold refined/tried in the fire, and to anoint our eyes with eye-salve [kollourion – what sticks in our means of sight (minds), allowing us to clearly see again].
 
Revelation 3
18 I counsel you to buy [agorazo] of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye-salve, that you may see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent [receive the love of His correction].
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.
 
John later uses the same word in Revelation 5:9 to tell of the LORD as the one who has “redeemed” us. He first takes the book and eats it, in this overcoming the defiled doctrine, by this rising (according to the scriptures) and reigning as the firstborn. He then raising us to be born in the same way, reigning with Him, as God is in us all – Israel, meaning reign as/with God [see parallel verses of 1 John 4:4, Revelation 3:21 and Philippians 3:21, all above].
 
Revelation 5
5 And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And have made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
 
John next uses the word agorazo, rendered “buy,” to tell of those who are forcing the only way to be redeemed as to be like them, with their corrupted thoughts and doing the dead/deadening works. This is their mark, and their recompense, their just reward for their works.
 
Revelation 13
11 And I beheld another beast [great deceiver] coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb [ but theirs is the power of false prophesy and corrupted teaching – fake news/reports], and he spoke as a dragon [unclean spirits coming from his mouth].
12 And he exercises all the power of the first beast before him [great deceptions], and causes the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast [the spirit replacing God, replacing truth with lies], whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand [doing the work of killing/destroying those who refuse to think their thoughts and join in their work of doing so], or in their foreheads [the corrupted and confused thinking]:
17 And that no man might buy [agorazo – be redeemed] or sell [offer salvation], save [except] he that had the mark, or the name of the beast [who are working in the name of this corruption/deception – deceiving and being deceived], or the number of his name [bearing the formula of sowing confusion].
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six [it is the number of man, and his number – ways and works – are deception, confusion and chaos].
 
John then uses agorazo twice, in Revelation 14:3 & 4, as “redeemed,” telling of the elect, those who haven’t been defiled by women, and are virgins, meaning they haven’t been defiled by the false teaching, which has led all astray, as if simple minded silly women, ever learning [false teaching/doctrine] but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore the elect do not speak as does the dragon, with unclean spirit coming from their mouths as frogs. (Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 2 Timothy 3: 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.)
 
Revelation 14
1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first-fruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the LORD from henceforth: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in your sickle, and reap: for the time is come for you to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
 
1 John 3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons [male and female] of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons [male and female] of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

15 Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

17 But whoso has this world’s good, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

20 If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

Colossians 1 (the name apparently a combination of kollao and seio – shaken together)
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the LORD Jesus Christ.
3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have to all the saints,
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
7 As you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow-servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That you might walk worthy of the LORD unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
