Continuing with the evidence that validates the truth, as seen in the experience. Over many years we have looked at many of the deeper meanings of proper nouns and in this seen and understood the LORD’s using these to tell us of modern-day situations. Led by the Holy Spirit we have been enlightened beyond the darkness that holds in chains those choosing to remain in the corrupted man created ways of these blind leader, and the darkened establishments of these last days of this age of ignorance.
In this vein Jeremiah 32 tells of purchasing the field and showing the evidence, and does it to further our understanding of the principles in previous posts (which should be read to fully understand this one).
To begin, Jeremiah has the literal meaning, Yah (Jehovah – JAH) rising up. The year (time) is given as he tenth year of Zedekiah, meaning the righteousness (or right) of Yah. It is also noteworthy to see zedek as the end of the name Melchizedek, meaning king of righteousness (who we’ve studied many times in the past and recently as typifying Yah as Deliverer, in the sense of being our eternal corrector who brings us back into the right way).
Zedekiah is the king of Judah, and Judah representing the rulers (the heads – leaders) over God’s people.
Next we see the year also defined as the eighteenth year of Nebuchadneezer. Here the name means prophecy blossoming.
The numbers are significant, ten meaning a reorganization, and eighteen being the sum (end) of three sixes (666 – the number of endless confusion). In the context of today’s discussion it denotes the ending of the age of ignorance and its resulting confusion (Babylon meaning confusion), as we rise from under these rulers and establishments as prophesy (God’s word) blossoming into the validation of truth, and victory over them is before our eye seen as part of body of evidence.
Jerusalem is here said to be under siege. Jerusalem as we know is the place of peace that results from rule and reign (government as intended) in the righteousness of God. In the name (Jerusalem – Yarah Shalam) we have seen yarah meaning to flow (waters of life), and defines being taught of these ways, and then being built on this as the foundation, and shalam as what has been taught. Here again is the Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary definition of shalam: to be safe (in mind, body or estate); figuratively, to be (causatively, make) completed; by implication, to be friendly; by extension, to reciprocate (in various applications).
When we look at Jeremiah 32:4 – 6 we see the LORD telling of Zedekiah king of Judah being taken to Babylon, and that he shall not escape the Chaldeans. The Chaldeans were those also known as the Magi. These are the magicians, those skilled in the dark arts: skilled in the ways of inducing darkness in the mind, therefore bringing confusion by indoctrinated ignorance. (See the recent posts for the deeper definitions and context.)
What this is defining are the rulers (heads) of Gods people who are the keepers of the righteousness (rightness in the first principles of the Oracles of God) not escaping the indoctrination of the ways of ignorance and therefore being carried away from security of Jerusalem into the captivity of confusion (Babylon). This is all told of in the simplicity that unlocks the chains of confusion (eighteenth year) and blossoms in our seeing prophecy fulfilled. This is the evidence and validation of our faith.
In verse 7 begins our being told of the evidence as buying the field that in Anathoth, and of Jeremiah (Yah rising up) being the one who has the right as to Redeem it, and then having the deed to prove it has been purchased. Anathoth means a depressed state. It is therefore the condition of being held down, and that is being risen from. This field (body of evidence wherein prophesy is blossoming) is said to belong to Hanameel, Jeremiah’s uncle’s son. Hanameel means God has favored. This representing those in possession of the field, and the reason they sell it is found in the word the name derives from, chana, literally meaning to bend to a lesser. Here we see it as those in greater positions bowing to one in a lower position.
The field is purchased for seventeen pieces of silver. This is simply telling of the (ten) reorganization back to the one redeeming it (plus seven – seven denoting spiritual perfection).
The key words come in verse 8, “Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.”
Anathoth is mentioned in 2 Kings 2:26 when Solomon is speaking Abiathar (meaning not superior) the priest. It tells of this priest who once carried the Ark of the LORD (the oracles of God) being banished to Anathoth. The following verse tells of this as now wholly fulfilling the word the LORD spoke concerning the house of Eli (the house risen to it intended height) in Shiloh (safety and tranquility).

26 And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get you to Anathoth, unto your own fields; for you are worthy of death: but I will not at this time put you to death, because you barest the ark of the LORD God before David my father, and because you have been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
27 So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfill the word of the LORD, which he spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
The “word of the LORD” mentioned in verse 27 above, fulfilled this day before our eyes, is recorded in 1 Samuel 2 (verse 35).

30 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel said, I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD says, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off your arm, and the arm of your father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in your house.
32 And you shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in your house for ever.
33 And the man of your, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume your eyes, and to grieve your heart: and all the increase of your house shall die in the flower of their age.
34 And this shall be a sign unto you, that shall come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
36 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in your house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray you, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.
This is speaking of what we have recently studied about Melchizedek as telling of the LORD raising up someone outside the corrupted establishments.
This passage (verse 30 above) also shines even greater light on the LORD’s words from John 5:41, “I receive not honor from men.”
In verse Jeremiah 32:12 we read of the evidence given to the blessed (Baruch) of the LORD, the son of the light of Yah (Neriah), the son sheltered by Yah (Masseiah), and it was done so in the sight of Hanemeel.
Hanameel you have a choice to make. Hanameel is said to be the son of Shallum. Shallum means requital. I have given you the evidence of the purchase. Will you return to me what is mine?
Jeremiah 32
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.
2 For then the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah’s house.
3 For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost you prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
4 And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;
5 And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, says the LORD: though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper.
6 And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
7 Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come unto you saying, Buy you my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is your to buy it.
8 So Hanameel mine uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray you, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is your, and the redemption is your; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
9 And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
10 And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
11 So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.
13 And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
14 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.
15 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.
16 Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,
17 Ah LORD God! behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you:
18 You show loving-kindness unto thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for your eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
20 Which have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and have made you a name, as at this day;
21 And have brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;
22 And have given them this land, which you didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
23 And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come upon them:
24 Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what you have spoken is come to pass; and, behold, you see it.
25 And you have said unto me, O LORD God, Buy you the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
26 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,
27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
28 Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal (the gods of this world age), and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.
30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says the LORD.
31 For this city has been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
32 Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
33 And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.
34 But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.
35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech (the places of eternal self-inflicted torment); which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
36 And now therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof you say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine (for hearing the word of God), and by the pestilence (the resulting dis-ease);
37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:
38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
42 For thus says the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
43 And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof you say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, says the LORD.
Psalm 118
1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endures for ever.
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endures for ever.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endures for ever.
4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endures for ever.
5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
7 The LORD takes my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.
11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
12 They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
13 You have thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
18 The LORD has chastened me sore: but he has not given me over unto death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise you: for you have heard me, and are become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech you, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech you, send now prosperity.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
27 God is the LORD, which has showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
28 You are my God, and I will praise you: you are my God, I will exalt you.
29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever.
