The LORD is with U.S., Among U.S. and In Us

Continuing today with our understanding the ways of self-destruction, seeing them displayed before our eyes as the wicked unrelentingly and unwittingly engage in seemingly reflexed reactions taking them inevitably into its ends. They refusing to heed all warnings, themselves having seen the results past, show themselves to be inescapably bound in the darkness they have created. Of course, we are discussing the spiritually wicked powers in the seats of the corrupted establishment, in the institutions of church and national government, and the media they use to project their fictions (fake reports) to the world they hope to deceive and keep sleeping in death’s grip.
 
As we’ve discussed, the wicked are now in obvious panic, the result of knowing the world sees them for who they truly are, and understands what they claim is enlightening is actually the shadow of death’s darkness. The sleeping culture, undeniably seeing the true light of the truth, it being contrasted against the darkness of the mass deception, and only knowing the darkness are yet unable to comprehend the light for what is: God among us, known by His Glory.
 
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shined in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which light every man that comes into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
 
As the LORD tells of His coming, in the flesh as the Son of God born from man, He many times speaks of it as a time of separating the good seed from the bad, as in the Genesis creation account when the light is separated from the darkness. There we know we are also told of these living waters being separated from those below, and what separates them is the firmament, which we are then told is heaven.
 
2 Peter 2 begins speaking of the darkness of our time being the result of false teachers and their damnable heresies, even denying the LORD who bought them. This follows our being told in ending the prior chapter of the men of God, of old who wrote the scriptures, inspired as God’s Holy Spirit moved them, in the same exact way the Spirit moved upon the face of the deep (waters) in Genesis 1:2.
 
We are told of this in paralleling chronologies, the Spirit moving on the waters, and into what had become a state of confusion, totally void of understanding and without any form of value, understanding breaks forth as light into confusion’s darkness. Peter tells us the cause of the darkness (confusion): the total corruption by the heresies of false teachers.
 
When Peter goes on to tell of this even causing them to deny the LORD who bought them, he is again telling of what is written in 2 Corinthians 11 when Paul speaks of the many deceivers who have come claiming to be angels of light. As briefly discussed in the prior post, the aspect that shows them as being in darkness is their having unfaithfully separated themselves from the Father, and from the truth of Christ. We saw this is the context of 2 Thessalonians 2 and it speaking to these same “wicked ones” as those who “receive not the love of the truth,” instead become recalcitrant and incorrigible in their darkness.
 
2 Corinthians 11
10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knows.
12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light [without the truth of Christ, and unfaithful to the Father].
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
 
2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [from their own imaginations] shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the LORD that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The LORD knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the LORD.
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: [By] the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbid the madness of the [false] prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
 
2 Peter 3
1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the LORD and Savior:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements [corrupted principles] shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our LORD is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
 
When Peter uses the term “damnable heresies” it is from the Greek words, apoleia and hairesis, and telling of what is then described in the later verse speaking of those who had known the right way and departed from it, choosing to return to the mire of corruption.
 
Here is the Strong’s Greek Dictionary definition of the two words:
 
Strong’s #684: apoleia (pronounced ap-o’-li-a) from a presumed derivative of 622; ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal):–damnable(-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste.
 
Strong’s #139: hairesis (pronounced hah’-ee-res-is) from 138; properly, a choice, i.e. (specially) a party or (abstractly) disunion:–heresy (which is the Greek word itself), sect.
We see these word, in context, telling of those who by their choice to separate themselves from the love of God’s truth, and this being their choice to remain in darkness, forever separated by choosing to keep their “heresies,” which cause the separation. They reject this love, because they reject the ones God sends with it, who willing pay the price, following Christ’s example as He bought them out of corruption’s darkness.
 
1 Corinthians 11:19 tells of these same heresies and why they must come. There we are told they come so we will see the contrast between their darkness and the marvelous light of the LORD. “For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.”
 
This is the same “separation” spoken of as Proverbs 18 begins speaking of those who doing so meddle in wisdom, having become fools have no delight in understanding, and uncover their own corrupted reasoning (heart). The chapter goes on to further describe the contrast, and ends telling of the Friend who sticks with us, closer than a brother. That Friend is the LORD among us, always with US and for US. We See Him and His Glory only when we return to His wisdom.
 
Proverbs 18
1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeks and intermeddles with all wisdom.
2 A fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
3 When the wicked comes, then comes also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
6 A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calls for strokes.
7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.
11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor is humility.
13 He that answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame unto him.
14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
15 The heart of the prudent gets knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
16 A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.
17 He that is first in his own cause seems just; but his neighbor comes and searches him.
18 The lot causes contentions to cease, and parts between the mighty.
19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
22 Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the LORD.
23 The poor uses entreaties; but the rich answers roughly.
24 A man that has friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
 
The word translated as “separated” in verse 1 is the Hebrew word parad, and is the same word used in Psalms 22:14 translated “out of joint.” There it is telling of the condition of the LORD’s body (church) as He has been poured out like water (and in doing bought us out of our captivity).
 
What follows in the Psalm is telling of the LORD being not far from us, and it then goes on to show our declaring His presence, His name, in the midst of the congregation (His army). This is the context spoken of by Paul in Romans 10 when He tells of the LORD not being far from us, even in our mouth. It is telling of our obligation to declaim His being among us, with us and in us.
 
Psalms 22
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaves to my jaws; and you have brought me into the dust of death.
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19 But be not you far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste you to help me.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the lion’s mouth: for you have heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
22 I will declare your name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise you.
23 You that fear the LORD, praise him; all you the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all you the seed of Israel.
24 For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 My praise shall be of you in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindred of the nations shall worship before you.
28 For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the governor among the nations.
 
Romans 10
1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes.
5 For Moses describes the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which does those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaks on this wise, Say not in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what says it? The word is nigh you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same LORD over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, LORD, who has believed our report?
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses said, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Isaiah is very bold, and says, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he says, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
