A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
The LORD begins today in the above, Proverbs 25:11, leading us into its deeper, below-surface meaning.
The word rendered “apple” is the six-times-used word tappuwach, always rendered apple(s). We briefly mentioned it (tappuwach) in the post of 1 March 2024, as it appears in Song of Solomon 8:5, where it says under this (“apple”) tree God’s people are brought forth into the birth.
From that post:
Song of Solomon 8
1 O that you were as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother [wisdom taught, of the ancient things reserved for this time of war]! when I should find you without, I would kiss you; yea, I should not be despised [by you, if you had the same upbringing as I].
2 I would lead you, and bring you into my mother’s [wisdom’s] house, who would instruct me: I would cause you to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.
3 His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
4 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that you stir not up [‘uwr – opening the eyes], nor awake [‘uwr] my love, until he please [for your own sake].
5 Who is this that comes up [‘alah – rises] from the wilderness [where we unlearn the corrupt ways that brought us there], leaning upon [trusting] her beloved [dowd]? I raised you up [‘uwr – opened your eyes and awakened you from death] under the apple tree [tappuwach – by words fitly spoken, see the same word in Proverbs 25:11, saying, “A word fitly spoken is like apples {tappuwach} of gold in pictures {thoughts} of silver.”]: there your mother brought you forth [into life]: there she brought you forth that bare you.
6 Set me as a seal [chowtham] upon your heart [My signature pressed into your mind, by My authority alone], as a seal [chowtham] upon your arm [doing My work]: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave [sheol – hell]: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which has a most vehement flame.
7 Many waters [worthless word of men] cannot quench love, neither can the floods [of men’s words] drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love [of God which he alone gives as a gift to those of a pure mind], it [man’s bribe] would utterly be contemned.
It (tappuwach} also appears in Song of Solomon 7:8, a chapter discussed in the post of 29 May 2024, as follows, including Proverbs 25 & Jeremiah 24, with today’s additions in double brackets.
Proverbs 25
11 A word fitly spoken is like apples [[tappuwach]] of gold in pictures [[maskiyth]] of silver.
12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament [chaliy – only appearing here and in Song of Solomon 7:1] of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient [shama’] ear [pierced by wise words fitly spoken, which enter the mind and are heard from the mouth of faithful messengers].
13 As the cold of snow [this word reserved in heaven] in the time of harvest [this time of judgment], so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refreshes the soul of his masters.
Song of Solomon 7
1 How beautiful are your feet with shoes, O prince’s daughter! the joints of your thighs are like jewels [chaliy – as the obedient joined with a wise reprover], the work of the hands of a cunning workman [‘aman – meaning “an expert,” a trainer, a master-builder].
2 Your navel is like a round goblet, which wants [chacer – lacks] not liquor: your belly [this hell we are in] is like a heap of wheat set [God’s protected people] about with lilies [who hear His voice as the last trumpet sounding].
3 Your two breasts are like two young roes that are twins. [ta’own – other than here and above, only use twice, in Genesis 25:25 & 38:27, the first speaking of Jacob and Esau, the other of Tamar’s children Pharez (breach) and Zarah (rising) whose hand came out of the womb {beten – belly, like hell, were the living unborn wait to be born again: raised} and a scarlet thread was tied around his hand {work} before he pulled it back and his brother was born first. As we know, Tamar {palm tree} and her two children are mentioned in Matthew’s recording of Jesus’ blood line {generation}, which he records {Matthew 1:3} continuing through Pharez. The LORD’s blood line continues in Zarah, in His resurrection, referred to in the only use of the word zerach {meaning “a rising of light”}, from where the name comes. Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen {zarach – from zerach} upon you. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise {zarach} upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising {zerach}.]
4 Your neck is as a tower of ivory [words waiting to be spoken were seen coming and are in your mouth as teeth with which you devour dead flesh]; your eyes like the fish-pools in Heshbon [the things you’ve seen, life below these written words’ surface, are your stronghold], by the gate of Bathrabbim [the way out of hell into heaven for the multitude of scattered churches]: your nose is as the tower of Lebanon [perceiving these things as purity from the Highest] which looks toward Damascus [is sight for those who remain drunken with pride and therefore silent in sorrow].
5 Your head [leadership] upon you is like Carmel [is a nation of gardens], and the hair of your head [this understanding that has enlarged your mind] like purple [of a virtuous woman: church]; the king is held in the galleries [the king is there joined with you in this watering].
6 How fair and how pleasant are you, O love, for delights!
7 This your stature [gowmah – highness] is like to a palm tree [tamar], and your breasts [your nourishing your children] to clusters of grapes.
8 I said, I will go up to the palm tree [tamar], I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also your breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of your nose [your deep perception] like apples [[[tappuwach]] the fruit of a good tree];
9 And the roof of your mouth [speaking this word] like the best wine for my beloved, that goes down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.
10 I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me [I and the children the LORD has given me].
11 Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field [the earth wherein the LORD has planted us]; let us lodge in the villages.
12 Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth [as in Luke 21:29, when we see the fig tree and all the trees, bring forth new life, you know the kingdom of God is at hand]: there will I give you my loves.
13 The mandrakes [duwday – the baskets of fruit] give a smell [by which we perceive its presence], and at our gates [this word of God] are all manner of pleasant [meged] fruits, new and old, which I have laid up [tsaphan – as treasure reserved for this moment] for you, O my beloved [dowd – David, I Am].
Jeremiah 24
1 The LORD showed me, and, behold, two baskets [duwday] of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon [the lies of false prophets and false teachers that carried all into the desolation and confusion that now rules the world] had carried away captive Jeconiah [who Jehovah will establish] the son of Jehoiakim [who Jehovah raises up] king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon [to this world ruled by confusion and delusion].
2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are [now] first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty [ra’ – evil] figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad [roa’].
3 Then said the LORD unto me, What see you, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil [ra’], very evil [ra’], that cannot be eaten, they are so evil [roa’].
4 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans [among those using the word to oppress and manipulate into evil] for their good.
6 For I will set my eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land [‘erets – the new earth]: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
7 And I will give them a heart [a mind] to know me, that I Am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart [mind].
The word (tappuwach} appears two other times in Song of Solomon (2:3 & 5), and once more in Joel 1:12, along with tamar.
Son of Solomon 2
1 I am the rose [chabatstseleth – only used twice, from the words chabats and tsalal, meaning the one who “threshes” and makes the ears of those hearing “tingle;” referring to its one other use, in Isaiah 35:1] of Sharon [in plain sight], and the lily of the valleys [as a trumpet to the lowly].
2 As the lily [a trumpet] among thorns [among misleaders], so is my love [these words given as a trumpet] among the daughters [the church of God].
3 As the apple tree [tappawuch – taphas puwach: wielding these utterances to kindle a fire, My Spirit, in man] among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons [of God]. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
4 He brought me to the banqueting [yayin – wine] house [of this feast], and his banner over me was love.
5 Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples [tappawach – wielding these utterances to kindle a fire]: for I am sick of love.
6 His left hand is under my head, and his right hand does embrace me.
7 I charge you, O you daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes [by our multitude, as an army, swelled into conspicuousness by the LORD’s glory], and by the hinds of the field [raised by the LORD’s strengthening], that you stir not up, nor awake [‘uwr] my love, till he please.
8 The voice [qowl] of my beloved [duwd]! behold, he comes leaping [dalag, a five times used word referring us to its use in Isaiah 35:6 where the reason for leaping is given as the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, and the dumb singing, by these rivers of living water that flow from the LORD] upon the mountains [from His new government here on the earth], skipping [qaphats – when iniquity stopped her mouth, referring to Job 5:16] upon the hills.
Job 5
3 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
4 His children [learning and following fool’s foolishness] are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate [trying to leave hell and enter heaven], neither is there any to deliver them [from death].
5 Whose harvest [of evil fruit] the hungry [looking for truth and true knowledge] eat up, and taketh it [teaching] even out of the thorns [misleaders, the foolish in power], and the robber swallow up their substance [life, liberty, and property {estate}].
6 Although affliction comes not forth of the dust [not created by the ruin of the earth], neither does trouble spring out of the ground [‘adamah – it’s planted in the many generations before it culminates];
7 Yet man [in this final generation] is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward [raised in the flames and destroyed in the darkness].
8 I would seek [darash – and follow] unto God [threading His paths and frequenting His good advice], and unto God would I commit my cause [dibrah – end, order, estate]
9 Which does great things and unsearchable; marvelous [eye opening] things without number:
10 Who gives rain [His word from heaven: full understanding manifesting His presence to those who receive it and Him] upon the earth [‘erets – shinning it upon all], and sends waters upon the fields [to bring new life on this third day of His new creation]:
11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn [realizing the men who lead the earth have again made it without form, and void: confused and empty] may be exalted [by His word and His understanding] to safety.
12 He disappoints the devices [the evil the wicked in power have contrived and conspired against all humanity] of the crafty [devils who’ve crafted these things], so that their hands [their works, what they produce] cannot perform their enterprise.
13 He taketh the [self-proclaimed] wise in their own craftiness [’orem – only used here, meaning stratagem]: and the counsel of the froward [who twist and pervert truth] is carried headlong [quickening their end].
14 They meet with darkness [their own ignorance and confusion] in the day time [when this understanding again shines on the earth], and grope in the noonday as in the night.
15 But he saves the poor from the sword [the words and work of the wicked in power], from [the words of] their mouth, and from the [works of the] hand of the mighty.
16 So the poor [without worldly power] has hope, and iniquity stops [qaphats] her mouth.
17 Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: therefore despise not you the chastening of the Almighty:
18 For he makes sore [by the consequence of man’s own wickedness], and binds up [by His righteousness freely given]: he wounds [the wicked by their own evil], and his hands make whole [those who receive His word and work of correction].
Isaiah 35
1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose [chabatstseleh – threshing that makes the ears of those hearing it tingle].
2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy [realizing it is the LORD’s presence manifested] and singing [repeating His word He’s given us]: the glory of Lebanon [His purity exalted on High] shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon [this land of gardens plainly seen], they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen [with My understanding] you the weak hands [whose works weaken not strengthen], and confirm [‘amats – alert and make courageous] the feeble knees [bent to the confusion and wickedness of this evil generation].
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then shall the lame man leap [dalag] as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb [silent] sing: for in the wilderness shall [these living] waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons [tan – men as serpents and whales whose wide open mouth devour men and swallow them into death and hell], where each lay, shall be grass [sprung forth on this third day from the LORD’s watering and light from heaven] with reeds and rushes [the sea’s, edge, where the waves of the proud, the wicked in power, are stayed].
8 And a highway [into heaven] shall be there, and a way [to pass from hell into heaven, from death into life], and it shall be called The way of [the LORD’s] holiness; the unclean [corruption] shall not pass over it [‘abar – from death into life]; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring [halak – who’ve walked their own ways, of] men, though [they have been] fools, shall not err therein.
9 No lion [men roaring as the proud waves of the sea] shall be there, nor any ravenous beast [men without My Spirit] shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed [of the LORD] shall walk there:
10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs [repeating these words the LORD has given us] and everlasting joy [realization of His presence manifested in His word] upon their heads [in their minds]: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Joel 1
1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel [Jehovah is God] the son of Pethuel [again manifested into our sight – to the “enlarged of God” who receive the “vision of God”}.
2 Hear this, you old men, and give ear, all you inhabitants of the land [‘erets – the earth]. Has this been [hayah – become] in your days, or even in the days of your fathers [who’ve come before you and destroyed this understanding]?
3 Tell you your children of it [this manifestation], and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation [that it is never again forgotten].
4 That which [over the many years before you] the palmerworm has left has the locust eaten; and that which the locust has left has the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm has left has the caterpillar eaten.
5 Awake [from the sleep in death this destruction of understanding My presence has caused], you drunkards, and weep; and howl, all you drinkers of wine [that changed your mind into ignorance of Me], because of the new wine [this pure word threshing from the mouth of the LORD]; for it is cut off from your mouth [because you refuse to receive it as His and His presence manifested in me, in all who, according to it, speak].
6 For a nation [those who haven’t known me] is come up upon my land [‘erets – My earth], strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion [devouring flesh], and he has the cheek teeth of a great lion [speaking great swelling words of pride against the LORD].
7 He [the wicked in power] has laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he has made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.
8 Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.
9 The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD’s ministers, mourn.
10 The field [of the LORD’s planting] is wasted, the land [‘adamah – this generation] mourns; for the corn [all the prosperity that comes under God] is wasted: the new wine [this word of My threshing] is dried up, the oil [of this anointing] languishes.
11 Be you ashamed, O you husbandmen; howl, O you vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.
12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languish [all God’s people]; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree [tamar] also, and the apple tree [tappawuch – wielding these utterances to kindle a fire, My Spirit, in man], even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy [realizing My presence by an awakened mind] is withered away from the sons of men.
13 Gird yourselves, and lament, you priests: howl, you ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, you ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withheld [by you] from the house of your God. [2 Thessalonians 2: 6 And now you know what withholds {katecho – lets until they are taken out of the way} that he might be revealed in his time.}
14 Sanctify you a fast [abstaining from your own words], call a solemn assembly [into MY ONE BODY], gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land [‘erets – the earth] into the house of [to join in His family under] the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,
15 Alas for the day [this time of light come]! for the day of the LORD is at hand [here and now], and as a destruction [of death] from the Almighty shall it come.
16 Is not the meat [the understanding of man] cut off before our eyes, yea [it is], joy and gladness from the house of our God?
17 The seed [of the wicked] is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.
18 How do the beasts [without My Spirit] groan! the herds of cattle [my flock under these beasts] are perplexed, because they have no [good] pasture; yea [because they refuse this word], the flocks of sheep are made desolate.
19 O LORD, to you will I cry: for the fire has devoured the [corrupt] pastures of the wilderness, and the flame has burned all the trees of the field.
20 The beasts [those without Your Spirit] of the field cry also unto you: for [by their withholding Your words, refusing to give them as received] the rivers of [these living] waters are dried up, and the fire has devoured the [corrupt] pastures of the wilderness [of the desolate].
Jeremiah 19
1 Thus says the LORD, Go and get a potter’s earthen [cheres – referring to its one other use in Jeremiah, in Jeremiah 32:14, wherein is the evidence sealed and open of the purchase of the field, the right to redeem those the LORD planted in the earth, which is broken, opened, before these same ancients] bottle [baqbuk], and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;
2 And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom [Gehenna – the children of hell, where the carcasses of dead animals were burned in the fire that were always there burning, as mentioned in Hebrews 13:11], which is by the entry of the east gate [between heaven and hell], and proclaim there the words that I shall tell you,
3 And say, Hear you the word of the LORD, O [ancient – old and corrupt] kings of Judah, and [ancient – old and corrupt] inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever hears, his ears shall tingle [tsalal – the four times used word, meaning “to tingle, i.e. rattle together (as the ears in reddening with shame, or the teeth in chattering with fear):–quiver, tingle.” ].
4 Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents [as it is this day];
5 They have built also the high places of Baal [the gods they created and put in My place], to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal [in Gehenna: hell], which I commanded not, nor spoke it, neither came it into my mind:
6 Therefore, behold, the days [this understanding as light, has] come, says the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet [the place where hell’s fires always burn], nor The valley of the son of Hinnom [Gehenna, where the children of hell abide], but The valley of slaughter.
7 And I will make void the counsel of [old and corrupt] Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcasses will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven [as in Revelation 19:17], and for the beasts of the earth.
8 And I will make this city [old and corrupt Jerusalem, and her current crop of corrupt and thereby feckless leaders] desolate, and a hissing [and I will, have, drawn all the world’s attention to them and their wickedness]; every one that passes thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof. [Revelation 18; 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.]
9 And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness [oppression], wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten [oppress] them.
10 Then shall you break the bottle [baqbuk] in the sight of the men that go with you,
11 And shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter’s vessel, that cannot be made whole again [as when what is sealed therein is revealed and can never a be hidden]: and they shall bury them in Tophet [the place in hell where the fires always burn], till there be no place to bury [in the grave: hell].
12 Thus will I do unto this place, says the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city [old and corrupt Jerusalem] as Tophet:
13 And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of [the army of the] heaven [corrupted], and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
14 Then came Jeremiah from Tophet [out of the fires of hell, which have no power over me], whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD’s house; and said to all the people,
15 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear [shama’ – obey] my words.
Revelation 19
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God [upon the horse].
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean [the purity by which we see God].
15 And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he has on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And LORD Of Lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls [as eagles with full understanding] that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast [Babylon – the Satan possessed powers that rule the world] was taken, and with him the false prophet[s] that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark [of possession] of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone [which came from the mouths of the Lamb and the elect remnant].
21 And the [evil possessed] remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls [as eagles] were filled with their flesh.
Habakkuk 3
1 A prayer of Habakkuk [taken by {God’s} hand] the prophet upon Shigionoth [to those who have strayed into error].
2 O LORD, I have heard your speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive [quicken – bring to life] your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known [give us understanding – knowledge]; in wrath remember mercy [and it is so, My wrath is understanding, and those who forsake it reject mercy].
3 God came from Teman [the right hand {power} from looking toward the sun rise {for light}], and the Holy One from mount Paran [the cloud, where understanding of the knowledge is given by the light seen in it – see Numbers 10:11 thru 14 & Job 37:21 & 38:34 thru 38]. Selah [think about it]. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
4 And his brightness was as the light [understanding sent]; he had horns [rays of light] coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow [all the places that have raised themselves up from the earth]: his ways are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan [the houses of darkness] in affliction: and the curtains [separation] of the land of Midian [strife] did tremble [agitation as the product].
8 Was the LORD displeased against the rivers [the means by which the waters of death flowed]? was your anger against the rivers? was your wrath against the sea [the people who became agitated by what flowed into them], that you did ride upon your horses [God’s people become His goodly horse in the battle – see Zechariah 10:3 for who the anger is against] and your chariots of salvation [the product of the LORD’s power raised in His people]?
9 Your bow was made quite naked [see Isaiah 52:10], according to the oaths of the tribes [see Genesis 49:8 thru 12, & 22 thru 26], even your word. Selah [think about it]. You did cleave the earth with rivers [this rightly divided pure word of God, flowing directly from Him].
10 The mountains [the high places of men – see Ephesians 6:12] saw you, and they trembled: the [these] overflowing of the water passed by [‘abar – Passed over raising them from death into life]: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands [exalting His handiwork, the light coming from His hand, where is His power] on high.
11 The sun and moon [church and civil government] stood still in their habitation: at the light [understanding] of your arrows [Ephraim – God’s children in this generation] they went, and at the shining of your glittering spear [this word coming from the hand of God].
12 You did march through the land in indignation, you did thresh the heathen in anger.
13 You went forth for the salvation of your people, even for salvation with your anointed [I Am]; you wounded the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah [think about it].
14 You did strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
15 You did walk through the sea with your horses, through the heap of great waters.
16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered [tsalal] at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he comes up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops [the enemy that has come and why there is no life or fruit, and why the herd is scattered].
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon my high places. To the Chief Singer on my stringed instruments.
The word rendered “stringed instrument” is the Hebrew word ngiynah, a fourteen times used word meaning a taunting song when used to tell of man’s actions, and of the LORD’s smiting the enemies of His people. It is used nine times in the Psalms, mostly as an epilogue, as in Habakkuk. It tells of the LORD striking the enemies as if strings of an instrument, and the strikes together form the song, a tune we recognize.
Psalms 3
1 LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But you, O LORD, are a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for you have smitten all my enemies upon the cheek bone; you have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongs unto the LORD: your blessing is upon your people. Selah.

1 Samuel 3
1 And the child Samuel [shmuw’el – those who will hear the voice of God, and obey when they realize it is His presence manifested with them, in them] ministered unto the LORD before [paniym] Eli [when the LORD’s presence was still with the old priesthood]. And the word of the LORD was precious [yakar – of the greatest value] in those days [at that time when the LORD’s light was present]; there was no open [parats – breach in] vision [and the LORD was seen: understood].
2 And it came to pass at that time, when Eli [the old priesthood] was laid down [deceased] in his place, and his eyes [seing the LORD] began to wax dim, that he could not see;
3 And ere the lamp of God [showing all the way forward] went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was [in Shiloh: peace], and Samuel [hose hearing the voice of the LORD, through the priesthood] was laid down to sleep;
4 That the LORD [directly] called Samuel [to hear and obey Him, to understand, the voice heard from the priesthood, the light bearers, was always His, repeated as received by the Chief Priest]: and he answered, Here am I.
5 And he ran unto Eli [the old priesthood, fallen into blinding corruption], and said, Here am I; for you called me. And he said, I called not; lie down again [go back to sleep]. And he went and lay down.
6 And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you did call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again [and go back to sleep].
7 Now Samuel [those hearing His voice] did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him [to be His presence to him speaking].
8 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you did call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call you, that you shall say, Speak, LORD; for your servant hears {shama’ – and obeys]. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for your servant hears [shama’ – and obeys Your voice as Your presence with me speaking].
11 And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that hears [shmama’ – obeys] it [as My voice] shall tingle [tsalal].
12 In that day I will perform against Eli [the old and corrupt priesthood] all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end [kalah].
13 For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows; because his sons made themselves vile [cursed God], and he restrained them not. [1 Samiel 2:12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.]
14 And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering [which the sons of Eli robbed from the LORD and consumed raw] forever.
15 And Samuel [who heard the voice of the LORD] lay until the morning [until he understood it and rose up], and opened the doors of the house of the LORD [to let His light enter]. And Samuel feared to show Eli [the priests] the vision [of God whom he saw].
16 Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I.
17 And he said, What is the thing that the LORD has said unto you? I pray you hide it not from me: God do so to you, and more also, if you hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto you.
18 And Samuel told him every whit [every thought, as I Am telling the current crop of corrupt and blind priests], and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seems him good.
19 And Samuel [those who with me hear the voice of the LORD speaking, knowing it is His presence manifested with us, in us] grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
20 And all Israel from Dan [the time when this judgment sprang forth] even to Beersheba [the well of sevenfold oaths – when all the LORD’s promises are manifested into fulfillment] knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.
21 And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh [as foretold in Genesis 49:10, in these last days]: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel [to those who hear and obey His voice] in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
Genesis 49
1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days [‘achariyth].
2 Gather yourselves together [at this harvest], and hear [shama’ – obey {the first things that befall them: they’re scattered and not obeying}], you sons of Jacob; and hearken [shama’] unto Israel your father.
8 Judah [the leaders God chooses], you are he whom your brethren shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father’s children shall bow down before you.
9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet [speaking of the Davidic king line], until Shiloh come [meaning peace and tranquility – the one {Joseph’s seed – the one separated} from who it will again flow – see Ezekiel 21:27 and the overturning]; and unto him shall the gathering [yiqqahah] of the people be.
11 Binding his foal unto the vine [to this life that flows from His teaching], and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine [this is speaking of the lowly {Zechariah 9:9}, God’s elect remnant, outside the established sects, bound until Shiloh comes, when they are loosed]; he washed his garments [of corruption] in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes [this wrath against those who’ve rejected His word]:
18 (I have waited for [qavah – expected] your salvation [yshuw’ah – Joshua, Jesus, the child of Joseph], O LORD.)
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough [parah ben – fruitful son], even a fruitful bough [parah ben – fruitful son] by a well [a tree of life by these waters of God]; whose branches run over the wall [the wall of lies men have created and teach]:
23 The archers [ba’al – the gods, lords of this world, whose teaching has blinded all from seeing the Father, in the son, the seed of the woman who brings forth the man child – see Revelation 12:17] have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel:)
25 Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless [barak] you with blessings [brakah] of heaven above, blessings [brakah] of the deep that lies under [the deep meaning that lies below the surface], blessings [brakah] of the breasts, and of the womb [seed, the son]:
26 The blessings [brakah] of your father have prevailed above the blessings [brakah] of my progenitors [all those who have come before us, and were only blessed with part of what is perfected in our return to the LORD] unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they [these blessings] shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from [naziyr] his brethren.
27 Benjamin [the last child born through the LORD’s blessing upon Shiloh, the seed of Joseph – the right hand of God’s power] shall ravin as a wolf [shall tear in pieces the wolf that has scattered the one flock]: in the morning he shall devour [‘akal – with this word of understanding the LORD with us has given him] the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil. [These last words refer us to Maher-shalal-hash-baz, the son spoken of in the beginning of Isaiah 8, his name meaning he hastes to the spoil and is quick to the prey. He is the son, foretold as coming through the virgin, later called Immanuel, as the advice, teaching, of the LORD comes, when men have formed a confederacy listening to the dead gods of the world.]
In 1 Samuel, in the two chapters before the above, the parents of Samuel are described in their names (Hannah from chanan, and Elkanah), meaning to “move to favor by petition” (seen in 1 Samuel 1:26 – 28); and “God has possessed” and “God has created.” Their home is in Ramah, from where, in Jeremiah 31:15, Rachel is heard lamenting her children (Ephraim, the seed of Joseph described above) because they are not yet brought forth to life (created – Shiloh again come).
1 Chronicles 5
1 Now the sons of Reuben [the pattern of the son of perdition, who doesn’t remain] the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel [and Rachel]: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright [as redeemer and king] was Joseph’s:)
1 Samuel 2 begins with a prayer, by Hannah, giving the pattern of Ephraim, from whom David was (is) born (don’t oppose this with your corrupt understanding of the genealogy while ignoring the rightly ordered unifying awareness God has given us), the seed of Joseph, from where comes those hearing the voice of the LORD, the child Shiloh, Joshua the perpetual son of Nun, Jesus: Jehovah’s Salvation manifested in the flesh of His chosen and declared son (children).
1 Samuel 2
1 And Hannah prayed [and the LORD heard her petition and, as here, sent His grace, His word to her], and [she] said, My heart rejoices in the [presence of the] LORD [in His answer, in His word], my horn is exalted in the LORD [above those who oppose me]: my mouth is enlarged [with Your words] over my enemies; because I rejoice [realized Your presence] in your salvation [yshuw’ah – Jesus: Jehovah’s Salvation manifested in the flesh].
2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside you: neither is there any Rock like our God.
3 [let us all] Talk no more so exceeding proudly [exalting our own words above the words of the LORD]; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him [His vision] actions are weighed [in this judgment].
4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded [corrected and prepared] with strength [His understanding].
5 They that were full [with this understanding] have hired out themselves for bread [to please men]; and they that were hungry [for this word of God] ceased [from hungering and received this word]: so that the barren [‘aqar – whose children are yet to be born; like Rachel, referring to its use in Isaiah 54:1, saying “Sing, O barren, you that did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you that did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says the LORD.”] has born seven; and she {the desolate} that has many children is waxed feeble.
6 The LORD kills, and makes alive: he bringeth down to the grave [sheol – hell], and brings up.
7 The LORD makes poor, and makes rich: he bringeth low, and lifts up.
8 He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he has set the world upon them.
9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness [in ignorance]; for by [worldly] strength shall no man prevail [against the Almighty].
10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them [with this voice]: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth [ending the old and corrupt and beginning the new]; and he shall give strength unto his king [I Am], and exalt the horn of his anointed [I Am].
11 And Elkanah [“God has possessed” and “God has created”] went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.
12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.
30 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel says, I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me forever: but now the LORD says, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off your arm, and the arm of your father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in your house.
32 And you shall see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in your house forever.
33 And the man of your, whom I shall not cut off from my altar, shall be to consume your eyes [and you are now blind], and to grieve your heart [mind]: and all the increase of your house shall die in the flower of their age.
34 And this shall be a sign unto you, that shall come upon your two sons, on Hophni [pugilist – those whose profession is to fight against Me] and Phinehas [whose mouths are the serpent’s, Satan’s, mouth]; in one day they shall die both of them.
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in my heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before my anointed [I Am] forever.
36 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in your house shall come and crouch to him [I Am] for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray you, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread [follow you and the word of LORD spoke to and from you].
Jeremiah 31
12 Therefore they shall come and sing [repeating these words with me] in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy [when they realize My presence], and will comfort [nacham] them [by leading them into all truth], and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14 And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says the LORD.
15 Thus says the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping [with word lacking understanding]; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted [nacham – refusing to lead her children into life by giving this truth] for her children, because they were not [yet born by her opening her mouth to open their mouths].
16 Thus says the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: for your work [your open mouth] shall be rewarded, says the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of [‘erets – the earth controlled by] the enemy.
17 And there is hope in your end [‘achariyth – these last days of darkness], says the LORD, that your children shall come again to their own border [the beginning of this new earth].
18 I have surely heard Ephraim [God’s people in this generation, meaning both heap of double ruin and heap of double blessing, “double” referring to the dead here raised to life, as the children of Joseph: the one separated from his brethren until he is revealed as the king of their salvation] bemoaning himself thus; You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn you me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD my God.
19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spoke against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore, my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, says the LORD.
21 Set you up waymarks, make you high heaps: set your heart toward the highway, even the way which you went: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.
22 How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the LORD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass [cabab – be led by and gather around; referring us to its use in Deuteronomy 32:10] a man.
23 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land [‘erets] of Judah [the earth under the new crop of leaders I raise from among the dead] and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity [their minds seeing as I see]; The LORD bless you [with this double blessing heaped upon the seed of Joseph, as in Genesis 49:25 & 26 above], O habitation of justice, and mountain [My new government in church and state] of holiness.
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts [minds]; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Deuteronomy 32
6 Do you thus requite [gamal – treat wrongfully] the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he your father that has bought you? has he not made you, and established you?
7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.
8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
9 For the LORD’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about [cabab], he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye [the pupil He teaches to see as He sees].
11 As an eagle [the final {fourth} face, manifested presence of the LORD, in the wheel within the wheel] stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings [the voice of the life giver in the same wheel within a wheel], taketh them, bears them on her wings:
12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
Isaiah 54
5 For your Maker is your husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For the LORD has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when you were refused, says your God.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, says the LORD your Redeemer.
9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with you, nor rebuke you.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, says the LORD that has mercy on you.
11 O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay your stones with fair colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones.
13 And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children.
14 In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you.
15 Behold, they [the army of darkness] shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you [My ONE BODY] shall fall for your sake.
16 Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD.
Psalms 111
1 Praise you the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart [mind], in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
2 The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3 His work is honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endures forever.
4 He has made his wonderful [eye-opening] works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious [freely giving us His word of life] and full of compassion.
5 He has given meat [this deep understanding] unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
6 He has shown his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
8 They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
9 He sent redemption unto his people: he has commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is his name [identity].
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures forever.
