Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus says the LORD God; Are you come to enquire of me? As I live, says the LORD God, I will not be enquired of by you.
As discussed in previous posts, the Hebrew word rendered “enquire” is darash, meaning “to tread or frequent; usually to follow (for pursuit or search); by implication, to seek or ask; specifically to worship.”
In this word’s uses, we understand it describes the inquisition by which errors are exercised. In the title verse, Ezekiel 20:3, and its surrounding passages, the LORD, without error, refuses to be questioned by those whose foundational minds are corrupted by their idols: abominations men created, put in His place, and called by His name.
Ezekiel uses the word (darash) four times in Ezekiel 14, six times in Chapter 20, once in Chapter 33, four times in Chapter 34, and once in Chapter 36.
Ezekiel 14
1 Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
2 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
3 Son of man, these men have set up [darash – enquired of] their idols in their heart [their corrupt foundational minds, by which they are deceived and misled], and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity [‘avon – the iniquity of the father’s visited upon their children] before their face: should I be enquired [darash] of at all by them?
4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus says the LORD God; Every man of the house of Israel that sets up his idols in his heart [corrupting his foundational mind], and puts the stumbling-block of [falling away from Me and My truth by] his iniquity before his face [nokach paniym – blocking him from seeing My presence manifested in My words], and comes to the prophet [speaking My words]; I the LORD will answer him that comes according to the multitude of his idols [with truth, destroy his corrupt understanding];
5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart [their stoicheion, their corrupt “elements” of understanding, which melt away in heat of the fires they cause], because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus says the LORD God; Repent [shuwb], and turn [shuwb] yourselves from your idols; and turn away [shuwn] your faces [paniym – return to My presence] from all your abominations.
7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourns [guwr – who strays from the right ways] in Israel, which separates himself from me, and sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to a prophet to enquire [darash] of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:
8 And I will set my face [paniym – My presence manifested in My word from My prophet: My angel: My messenger] against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am the LORD.
9 And if the [false] prophet be deceived when he has spoken a thing [in My name, which they call their abominations], I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
10 And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity [‘avon]: the punishment [‘avon] of the prophet shall be even as the punishment [‘avon] of him that seeks [darash – the one the LORD sends to draw out into the light the sins of the fathers, visiting them upon their children] unto him;
11 That [in truth’s victory over the words of death] the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, says the LORD God.
12 The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
13 Son of man, when the land [‘erets – the earth] sins against me by trespassing [ma’al] grievously [ma’al – this is sin, errors, committed in ignorance], then will I stretch out my hand [spread this work before it] upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof [destroying the body of corrupt work, the corrupt foundational elements upon which they put their trust], and will send famine upon it [and it will no longer be heard], and will cut off [karath] man and beast from it:
14 Though these three men, Noah [those promised this resting place], Daniel [that comes by this judgment of God], and Job [who are now hated among this last evil generation], were in it [those predestined to be the first generation resurrected in this time, in this way], they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, says the LORD God.
15 If I cause noisome [ra’ – evil] beasts [without My Spirit] to pass through [‘abar – to be resurrected into this judgment] the land [‘erets – this earth], and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through [‘abar – from death into life] because of the beasts:
16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, says the LORD God, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land [‘erets – the old and corrupt earth] shall be desolate.
17 Or if I bring a sword [this word from the mouths of His corrected and obedient children] upon that land [’erets – the earth], and say, Sword, go through the land [‘erets – the earth]; so that I cut off [karath] man and beast from it:
18 Though these three men were in it, as I live, says the LORD God, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.
19 Or if I send a pestilence [deber, from dabar, meaning this matter, this orderly arrangement, resetting the sure foundations of the earth, building them upon the ruin of the world under evil men] into that land [‘erets – the earth], and pour out my fury [chemah – heat from My consuming fire] upon it in blood [pouring life into those who receive this correction], to cut off [karath] from it [the old and corrupt earth] man and beast:
20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, says the LORD God, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness [The LORD’s righteousness, this uncorrupted truth, the garment put on, that protects man from the element of the corrupt world].
21 For thus says the LORD God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon [old and corrupt] Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
22 Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and you shall see their way and their doings: and you shall be comforted [nacham – led to understanding] concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem [the ruin upon which I Am building New Heavenly Jerusalem], even concerning all [sword, evil beasts, the pestilence, the famine] that I have brought upon it [visiting the sins of the fathers upon their children].
23 And they shall comfort you [nacham – shall lead you into all truth], when you see [ra’ah – have been shepherded into] their ways and their doings: and you shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, says the LORD God.
Colossians 2
1 For I would that you knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them [the lukewarm, ignorant of their need to be saved from death] at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh [have not yet seen the LORD is present in my flesh];
2 That their hearts might be comforted [that their minds would thereby be, by Him, led into all truth], being knit together in love [joined with God by His word heard as Him speaking directly], and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God [alive in His children who receive Him], the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the LORD [at His coming to you in His word], so walk you in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith [knowing He is with us, in us], as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain [worthless] deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments [stoicheion – the “elements,” the corrupt foundations] of the world [which Peter tells us melt away in the same fires they’ve caused, which end the now old heaven and earth], and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwells all the fulness [pleroma – full filling] of the Godhead [theotes] bodily [somatikos – only appearing here, meaning “physically;” the Thayer’s Greek Lexicon giving the additional meaning “of the exalted spiritual body, visible only to the inhabitants of heaven”].
10 And you are complete [pleroo – filled full] in him, which is the head of all principality [arche – this new beginning, of God’s just government] and power [exousia – the LORD’s authority vested herein]:
11 In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision [removing the flesh that covers the head] of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of [removing the flesh veil, by] God, who has raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [I Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is your sting? O grave {hell}, where is your victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our LORD Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you steadfast, Immovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD {giving this word as received, manifesting His presence in the corrupt world}, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the LORD.]
15 And having spoiled principalities [arche – corrupting God’s just government] and powers [exousia – rejecting the LORD’s authority in church and state, where the spiritually wicked sit thinking their policy of deception can hide them], he made a show of them openly [that they are the dead leading the world into death], triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come [their spiritual meaning here and now revealed by the living God alive in us]; but the [ONE] body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you [out] of your reward (in a voluntary humility and) [These parentheses are added by me because it’s a dubious translation of the word they are rendered from, thelesis, the same word rendered “would” in verse 1 of this chapter and verse 27 of the previous. The context here is a warning against following fallen angels, speaking their own words as false Christs, beguiling silly women, as the devil did Eve. It is here saying these men “would” have you worship them in God’s place] worshipping of angels [the messengers, who, if God were truly speaking through them, would be speaking according to this word, and wouldn’t allow men to worship them, which is reserved for the Father alone. These men are fallen angels who left their first estate, speaking their own words and not the LORD’s, putting themselves in the Father’s place] intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up [with pride] by his fleshly mind [which they refuse to circumcise],
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increase with the increase [filling them to the full] of God.
20 Wherefore if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments [stoicheion – the corrupt element] of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you subject to [the corrupt] ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a show of [worldly] wisdom in will worship [ethelothreskeia – only used here, meaning “voluntary (arbitrary and unwarranted) piety, i.e. sanctimony”], and [feigned] humility, and [needlessly] neglecting of the body: not in [that there is] any honor to the satisfying [plesmone – filling up] of the flesh.
The Greek word genesis only appears three times: first, in Matthew 1:1, before giving the LORD Jesus’ genealogy, saying it’s “The book of the generation of Jesus Christ;” then twice in James: in James 1:23, speaking of a man’s “natural” face, and in James 3:6, speaking of the course of “nature.”
James 1
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights [understanding], with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us [again] with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures [ltisma – His creations in this new heaven on earth].
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural [genesis] face in a glass [seeing himself regenerated, brought to life again in the flesh]:
24 For he beholds himself [the LORD’s new creation raise to life to no longer be just a hearer of the word but a doer, giving it as received], and goes his way, and straightway forgets what manner [hopoios – what kind and for what] of man he was [raised].
25 But whoso looks into the perfect [teleios – “complete (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral character, etc.); neuter (as noun, with 3588) completeness:–of full age, man, perfect.”] law of liberty [filling men with this truth that set them free from death and hell], and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
26 If any man among you seems to be religious, and bridles not his tongue [refusing to obey the LORD and speak His word, not their own private interpretations, opinions, delusions, that lead men into destruction], but deceives his own heart [mind, become insane, no longer able to distinguish between His delusion and the truth, this reality He is experiencing], this man’s religion is vain [worthless].
27 Pure [uncorrupted] religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit [manifesting the LORD’s presence as the protector and defender of] the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the [corrupt men in power over the] world.
James 3
1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things [if we err from the truth] we offend [ptaio – to trip, by error cause men to fail {not reach} salvation] all. If any man offend [ptaio] not in word [doesn’t teach errors, misleading, that causes men not to reach salvation], the same is a perfect [teleios – complete] man [having put away childish things, become a new man in the LORD’s new creation], and able also to bridle [the tongue of the] the whole [ONE] body [of Christ].
3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4 Behold also the ships [the institution of the world, that rule over the sea: all humanity], which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds [of men’s false doctrines], yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor [justly or unjustly controlling them] lists [wills].
5 Even so the tongue is a little member [like the helm], and boasts great things [showing the spirit driving them]. Behold [see now], how great a matter [of life and death] a little fire kindles!
6 And the [unjust and misleading] tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity [here in hell]: so is the tongue among our members [among the now dead body of Christ], that it defiles the whole body [as leaven does the whole], and set on fire the course [trochos – only appearing here, meaning a wheel {a circuit of physical effects}, the full course beginning to end and turning again] of nature [genesis – ending the old that became without form and void, bringing the new, into which the LORD came with His light saving the just, pulling {harpazo – “caught up”} us from hell’s fires]; and it is set on fire of hell [wherein the unjust choose to remain].
7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed of mankind:
8 But the tongue [of the incorrigible] can no man tame; it is an unruly [unrestrained] evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we [kataraomai– doom {to destruction}] men, which are made after the similitude of God,
10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing [saying you’re helping while hurting, leavening with mockery that corrupts the whole]. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness [not to destroy but to build] of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace
Ezekiel 20
1 And it came to pass in the seventh year [of Spiritual perfection], in the fifth month [when God’s grace is upon His people], the tenth day of the month [of ordinal perfection, when all is in proper order], that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of [darash – to question] the LORD, and sat before me [attempting to prove He is not alive in me working and speaking].
2 Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,
3 Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus says the LORD God; Are you come to enquire [darash] of me? As I live, says the LORD God, I will not be enquired of [darash] by you.
4 Will you judge [shaphat] them, son of man, will you judge [shaphat] them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers [which are now visited upon their children]:
5 And say unto them, Thus says the LORD God; In the day [the time of light] when I chose Israel, and lifted up my hand [My work] unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up my hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;
6 In the day that I lifted up my hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:
7 Then said I unto them, Cast you away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
9 But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
11 And I gave them my statutes, and showed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.
12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths [when I interrupt, stop their works to correct them back onto the course to this promised end], to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctifies them [cleans them of corruption by washing them in these living waters].
13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
14 But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out [of corruption: pollution].
15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart [minds] went after their idols.
17 Nevertheless my eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.
18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk you not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
19 I Am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.
21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
22 Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
23 I lifted up my hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;
24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.
25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that opened the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.
27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus says the LORD God; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up my hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savor, and poured out there their drink offerings.
29 Then I said unto them, What is the high place [bamah – the ancient high place now possessed by devils] whereunto you go? And the name whereof is called Bamah unto this day. [Deuteronomy 33:29 Happy are you, O Israel: who is like unto you, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and who is the sword of your excellency! and your enemies shall be found liars unto you; and you shall tread upon their high places {bamah}.]
30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus says the LORD God; Are you polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit you whoredom after their abominations?
31 For when you offer your gifts, when you make your sons to pass through the fire, you pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day [and none enquire about these]: and shall I be enquired [darash] of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, says the LORD God, I will not be enquired [darash] of by you.
32 And that which comes into your mind shall not be at all, that you say, We will be as the heathen [as a people who don’t know the LORD], as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
33 As I live, says the LORD God, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead [shaphat – judge, by manifesting My presence in the son of man, as in verse 4 above] with you face [paniym] to face [paniym – manifesting My presence to your presence, like the cherubims above the mercy seat, the ancient high place where My voice is exalted above all others].
36 Like as I pleaded with [shaphat – judged] your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with [shaphat – judge] you, says the LORD God.
37 And I will cause you to pass [‘abar – from death into life] under the rod [shebet – the Scepter of My rule], and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and you shall know that I am the LORD.
39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the LORD God; Go you, serve you every one his idols, and hereafter also, if you will not hearken [shama’ – hear and obey My voice] unto me: but pollute you my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
40 For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, says the LORD God, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require [darah] your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
41 I will accept you with your sweet savor, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you [into My ONE BODY] out of the countries wherein you have been scattered; and I will be sanctified [declared to be the Holy One] in you before the heathen.
42 And you shall know that I Am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up my hand [this work] to give it to your fathers.
43 And there shall you remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein you have been defiled; and you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed.
44 And you shall know that I am the LORD when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O you house of Israel, says the LORD God.
45 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
46 Son of man, set your face [My presence manifested in you] toward the south [to those watching for this sun rising], and drop [as the latter rain] your word toward the south, and prophesy [speak the word I have put in your mind and mouth] against the forest [the upright, the shepherds, the seers of My poeple] of the south field;
47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus says the LORD God; Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south [those looking for this sun rising] to the north [and those ignorant of it] shall be burned therein.
48 And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.
49 Then said I, Ah LORD God! they say of me, Does he not speak parables?
The following, ending in 1 John 1, is from the post of 17 – 18 July 2024.
What will you say when he shall punish you? for you have taught them to be captains, and as chief over you: shall not sorrows take you, as a woman in travail?
The word “punish,” above in Jeremiah 13:21, is paqad, meaning “to visit (with friendly or hostile intent); by analogy, to oversee, muster, charge, care for, miss, deposit, etc..” As often discussed, it speaks of the LORD openly manifesting His presence, in His word and work, as the Chief Overseer of the earth, declaring righteous decrees that combat the evil decrees (now) ruling the earth.
One such decree concerns current government institutions (of church and state), degenerated into the control of those antithetical to their Constitution. No longer are they controlled by (the consent of) the constituents who elect representatives to carry out their will, within the framework of the powers vested in their institutions by its Law. This will, as established in our Declaration, is that we are entitled to live under “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God (the Creator),” who has endowed us with unalienable Rights, among them Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, and to secure these unalienable Rights governments are instituted.
As we know, the “Bill of Rights,” the first ten amendments to the Constitution, state additional rights essential to “securing” ourselves against despots abusing government power. They specifically protect against demagogues that might rise and end as tyrants threatening our Lives and Liberty. They additionally state our Right to Pursue Happiness includes our right to acquire and keep secure our private property.
The current governments, riddled by millions of unelected self-servants, now led by devils (possessed by the spirit of Satan), abandoned, not only the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God, but also, the Spirit in these Laws (securing our God-Given Rights, our neighbors’ and our own: reciprocal security, the way to peace and sustainable civilization), and now control, by evil decree and corrupt judgment, virtually every aspect of our existence.
The LORD has righteously decreed they will not continue.
2 Peter 3
9 The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness [ignorant of the fact He is always here with us]; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements [stoicheion – the rudiments of the world, the corruption and insanity now possessing humanity] shall melt with fervent heat [the fires of hell these elements themselves create], the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy [this pure, uncorrupted, word] conversation [wherein the LORD’s presence is manifested] and godliness [eusebeia – literally meaning to revere good; the same word as in 1 Timothy 3:16, saying, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness {eusebeia}: God was {is} manifest in the flesh {of those speaking His word}, justified in the Spirit {while unknown speaking and working}, seen of angels {those made pure who become His messengers speaking His word}, preached unto the Gentiles {to those who don’t know Him}, believed on in the world {He is now creating}, received up into glory {in those exalting His voice above all other voices}.],
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the [old and corrupted] heavens [where this understanding should be found] being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements [stoicheion – the corrupt foundational ideas of the wicked in power] shall melt [be dissolved] with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our LORD is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrestle, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction [apoleia – perdition].
17 You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
18 But grow in grace [this gift], and in the knowledge of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
The word above, in 1 Timothy 3:16, dubiously rendered “without controversy,” only appearing here, is homologoumenos, from the words homou (same) logos (words) and menuo, meaning “probably from the same base as 3145 [masso – to handle, as in 1 John 1 below] and 3415 [mnaomai – to mentally grasp] (i.e. mao, to strive); to disclose (through the idea of mental effort and thus calling to mind), i.e. report, declare, intimate:–show, tell.”
In this verse (1 Timothy 3:16) Paul says homologoumenos (this same word declared) megas (the greatness found therein) eusebeia (is revering good) musterion Theos phaneroo en sarx (is the mystery of God manifested in the flesh).
This statement comes after (in verse 15) he (Paul) just spoke to Timothy so he would know how to behave (anastrepho – return: in the conversation) to “the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”
Acts 15
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 After this I will return [anastrepho], and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the LORD, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, says the LORD, who does all these things.
18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
2 Corinthians 1
9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raises the dead:
10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
11 You also helping together [under the same sentence, doing the same work] by prayer for us, that for the gift [this understanding from the LORD] bestowed upon us by the means [of answering the prayers] of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf [thanking the LORD for our deliverance and theirs].
12 For our rejoicing [the LORD’s presence realized in this word] is this, the testimony of our conscience [suneidesis – our co-perspective with the LORD], that in simplicity [haplotes – meaning “singleness, i.e. (subjectively) sincerity (without dissimulation or self-seeking), or (objectively) generosity (copious bestowal)] and godly [Theos – from God] sincerity [without leaven: uncorrupted], not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace [this gift] of God, we have had our conversation [anastrepho – in which the LORD is] in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
13 For we write none other things unto you, that what you read or acknowledge [epiginosko – this dispensation of knowledge by the LORD through His gift to us, in this conversation]; and I trust you shall acknowledge [epiginosko – receive the dispensation of knowledge] even to the end [when we receive this full understanding, the light and life of the LORD];
14 As also you have acknowledged [epiginosko – received the dispensation from] us in part, that we are your rejoicing [realizing it is the LORD manifesting His presence in the conversation], even as you also are ours [rejoicing] in the day [when the light and life] of the LORD Jesus [is manifested from you].
1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life [light and understanding] was manifested, and we have seen it [in the flesh], and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us [in His son, and the children given to him];)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy [realizing His presence in this manner] may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light [understanding and life], and in him is no darkness [ignorance] at all.
Ezekiel 33
1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land [‘erets – the earth], if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 If when he sees [ra’ah] the sword come upon the land [‘erets – the earth], he blows the trumpet, and warns the people;
4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet [this voice], and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that takes warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman sees [ra’ah] the sword come, and blows not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword comes, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require [darash] at the watchman’s hand.
7 So you, O son of man, I have set you a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear [shama’ – and obey] the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
In Ezekiel 34, when the LORD speaks to the “shepherds” and of “feeding” the word is ra’ah, which we know has an affinity to the word (also transliterating to ra’ah) meaning to “see.”
Ezekiel 34
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man [I Am], prophesy against the shepherds [ra’ah – the seers] of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus says the LORD God unto the shepherds [ra’ah – the seers]; Woe be to the shepherds [ra’ah – the seers] of Israel that do feed [ra’ah – see for] themselves! should not the shepherds [ra’ah – the seers] feed [ra’ah – see for] the flocks?
3 You eat the fat, and you clothe you with the wool, you kill them that are fed [ra’ah – by the things you see for yourselves]: but you feed [ra’ah – see] not [for] the flock.
4 The diseased have you not strengthened [with My word I give you], neither have you healed [with My word I give you] that which was sick, neither have you bound up [with My word] that which was broken, neither have you brought again [into My presence] that which was [by you] driven away, neither have you sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty [of your deceptions and misleading] have you ruled them [into ruin].
5 And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd [ra’ah – no seer]: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of [paniym – from My presence on] the earth, and none did search [darash] or seek after them.
7 Therefore, you shepherds [ra’ah – seers], hear the word of the LORD;
8 As I live, says the LORD God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field [all those on the earth without My Spirit], because there was no shepherd [ra’ah – no seers], neither did my shepherds [ra’ah -seers] search [darash] for my flock, but the shepherds [ra’ah – the seers] fed [ra’ah – saw for] themselves, and fed not [ra’ah – and see not for] my flock;
9 Therefore, O you shepherds [ra’ah – blind seers], hear the word of the LORD;
10 Thus says the LORD God; Behold, I Am against the shepherds [ra’ah – these blind seers]; and I will require [darash] my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding [ra’ah – from seeing for] the flock; neither shall the shepherds [ra’ah – these blind seers] feed [ra’ah – see for] themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth [their words by which the devours and swallow into the belly of hell], that they may not be meat for them.
11 For thus says the LORD God; Behold, I, even I, will both search [darash] my sheep, and seek them out.
12 As a shepherd [ra’ah – as a good seer] seeks out his flock in the day that he is [as I Am] among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy [when understanding has been removed from the earth and is held there with Me alone] and dark day [when the earth is cover in mass ignorance of Me and My way].
13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land [‘adamah – this new generation of man I create], and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers [of these life-giving waters], and in all the inhabited places of the country [‘erets – this new earth I create].
14 I will feed [ra’ah – see for] them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains [My new government I’ve created] of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed [ra’ah – see for them] upon the mountains [leading My new government that rules over the new earth] of Israel [in whom I reign and rule].
15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, says the LORD God.
16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed [ra’ah – see for] them with [good] judgment.
17 And as for you, O my flock, thus says the LORD God; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. [see Matthew 25 below]
18 Seem it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but you must tread down [ramac] with your feet the residue of your pastures [you’ve defiled]? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but you must foul the residue with your feet [of your deep understanding that is corrupted, by your feet which must be washed]?
19 And as for my flock, they eat that which you have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which you have fouled with your feet.
20 Therefore thus says the LORD God unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle [between those who refuse to wash their feet of the corruption and those who’ve purified themselves: are thereby able to see My presence and see for the flock].
21 Because you have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till you have scattered them abroad;
22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
23 And I will set up one shepherd [ra’ah – One seer] over them [My Chief Overseer of the earth, Who I have chosen, not as man sees, but by the heart only I see and know], and he shall feed [ra’ah – see for] them, even my servant David [I Am]; he shall feed [ra’ah – see for] them, and he shall be their shepherd [ra’ah – their seer].
24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.
25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts [the dead ruling the world without My Spirit] to cease out of the land [‘erets – the new earth I’ve created]: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness [among the desolation, upon which we shall build], and sleep in the woods [not fearing the evil beast].
26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill [My new government] a blessing; and I will cause the shower [my word from heaven] to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
27 And the tree [of life] of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land [‘adamah – this new generation of man], and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen [who haven’t known Me], neither shall the beast [the dead without My Spirit] of the land [‘erets – of the old earth] devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger [by not hearing the word of God] in the land [‘erets – in the new earth], neither bear the shame of the heathen [the consequences of following those without the LORD’s Spirit, who make promises they are unable, and never intended, to bring into reality] any more.
30 Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, says the LORD God.
31 And you my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I Am your God, says the LORD God.
Matthew 25
29 For unto every one that has [My word] shall be given, and he shall have abundance [to give as received]: but from him that has not [this word] shall be taken away even that which he has.
30 And cast you the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory [the Father revealing Himself in the flesh], and all the holy angels [messengers] with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the [he] goats [devils misleading the flock] on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was hungry [for this word], and you gave me meat [this deep understanding that strengthens]: I was thirsty [for this living waters], and you gave me drink: I was a stranger [not knowing God], and you took me in [giving protection from the elements of this corrupt world]:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me [with the righteousness of God]: I was sick [weak without understanding], and ye visited me [as a good shepherd, a good overseer]: I was in prison [held captive in the darkness that covers the earth], and you came unto me [the LORD in you unknown working, come as thief in the night].
Ezekiel 36
32 Not for your sakes do I this, says the LORD God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
33 Thus says the LORD God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be built.
34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.
37 Thus says the LORD God; I will yet for this be enquired [darash] of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
38 As the holy flock, as the flock of [New Heavenly] Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I Am the LORD.
Psalms 42
1 As the deer pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after you, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for [the word of] God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear [ra’ah – see] before [paniym – the presence of] God?
3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is your God?
4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
5 Why are you cast down [into hell], O my soul? and why are you disquieted in me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance [paniym – His presence].
6 O my God, my soul is cast down [into hell] within me: therefore will I remember you from the land [‘erets] of Jordan [the earth descended into hell by the waters of death], and of the Hermonites [sanctuary in the LORD’s government], from the hill Mizar [among Your elect remnant].
7 Deep calls unto deep [understanding is given] at the noise of [qowl – Your voice as a trumpet sounding this warning] your waterspouts: all your waves and your billows are gone over me.
8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time [when this light has come as the sunrise of this new day], and in the night [when ignorance of Your presence covers the earth] his song [these words that must be repeated as received] shall be with me, and my prayer unto [this conversation with] the God of my life.
9 I will say unto God my rock [from where these waters flow, in which men can trust], Why have you forgotten [shakach] me [Why have we forgotten You]? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? [Psalms 44:20 If we have forgotten {shakach} the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; 21 Shall not God search this out? for he knows the secrets of the heart.]
10 As with a sword in my bones, my enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is your God?
11 Why are you cast down [into hell], O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health [yshuw’ah – Jesus] of my countenance [paniym – Jehovah’s Salvation present in my flesh], and my God.
