O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for you: be you their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
In the previous post, we saw the current tribulation described as Jacob’s “trouble” in Jeremiah 30:7, from the Hebrew word tsarah. We saw it (tsarah) appearing in Nehemiah’s explanation of the cause, in Nehemiah 9, where in verse 27 it’s also rendered “trouble,” and later in verse 37 rendered great “distress.”
These troubles are the mass-delusion come upon the world, after its leader used deception to manipulate it into taking their mark (accepting their confusion – the reversal of reality and the acceptance of what is blatantly irrational and insane). These men, now acting as tyrants, using the force of misinformation (lies), crushed those who received the mark (and their ability to assess and distinguish between reality and delusion). Those who don’t receive it are increasingly deprived of the necessities of life, which are reserved for only those bearing it.
Friends, these tyrants and communists are not going to stop. They will never admit the truth and alter their course. They’ve used violence (force of deception) to take control of all aspect of human life and will continue to do so until they are, by violence, taken out of the way. It is against these men the LORD testifies through the prophets and saviors He sends.
The violence that combats the deception is the blatant pronouncement of the truth: accurately describing this time and season and those who are, with deception, (in church and state) destroying humanity (tyrants and communists, known liars telling known lies, false accusers who attack, demonize, and silence truth).
The principle of free speech, in natural law, is an antecedent of finding truth, which comes through civil (without force) and reasoned (without intentional deception) debate. It says we, humans, are entitled to the truth, because in its absence, the human mind is misled into thinking and acting in ways that disrupt peace (security in life, liberty, and property), of self and community. Good judgment is to understand, ascertain and discern through the use of God-given intellect (critical thinking), what is truth and separate falsehood from (corrupting or perverting) it. Through the violence of censorship, the current totally (intentionally) corrupted world, those in all institutions force humanity to accept their now unchallenged and unchallengeable lies that replace it (truth and reality).
Matthew 11
12 And from the days of John the Baptist [preaching repentance] until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John [dove – the sign of the end reached].
14 And if you will receive it, this is Elijah [Jehovah, who is God], which was for to come.
15 He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
17 And saying, We have piped [a lie] unto you, and you have not danced; we have mourned [a lie] unto you, and you have not lamented.
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they [false accusers] say, He has a devil.
19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they [false accusers – twisting truth to demonize those they cannot control – As when the say Tucker is taking heat for telling the truth that Jan. 6 was a false flag, which it was – just another PSYOP {lies and manipulation} against good and truth] say, Behold a man gluttonous [I eat], and a winebibber [I drink], [I Am] a friend of [re]publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children [“the children the LORD has given me” Isaiah 8:18].
20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:
21 Woe unto you, Chorazin [in the smoking furnace]! woe unto you, Bethsaida [the house of the fish – the whale’s belly, the belly of the earth, here in Hell, the wide open mouths keeping the LORD thereby hidden from the world]! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
23 And you, Capernaum [living in comfort], which are exalted unto heaven, shall be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, LORD of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes [“the children the LORD has given me”].
26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28 Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Nehemiah 9
26 Nevertheless they (God’s people) were disobedient, and rebelled against you, and cast your law behind their backs, and slew your prophets which testified against them to turn them to you, and they wrought great provocations.
27 Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble [tsarah], when they cried unto you, you heard them from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviors, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
28 But after they had rest, they did evil again before you: therefore left you them in the land of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto you, you heard them from heaven; and many times did you deliver them according to your mercies;
29 And testified against them, that you might bring them again unto your law [“the law of nature and nature’s God,” truths that are “self-evident”]: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto your commandments, but sinned against your judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.
30 Yet many years did you forbear them, and testified against them by your spirit in your prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gave you them into the hand of the people of the lands.
31 Nevertheless for your great mercies’ sake you did not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.
32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keeps covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before you, that has come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria [communists] unto this day.
33 Howbeit you are just in all that is brought upon us; for you have done right, but we have done wickedly:
34 Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept your law, nor hearkened unto your commandments and your testimonies, wherewith you did testify against them.
35 For they have not served you in their kingdom, and in your great goodness that you gave them, and in the large and fat land which you gave before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.
36 Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that you gave unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:
37 And it yields much increase unto the kings [Brandon and the other communists] whom you have set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies [lives], and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress [tsarah -without liberty or happiness].
38 And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it.
Revelation 18 speaks of these men as shipmasters, meaning they are those in the institutions that ride above (ruling) the sea (the masses into which the river of these men’s words flow). They are the merchants who make their livings by selling confusion (“Mystery [unknown], Babylon [confusion] The Great, The Mother [teacher] Of Harlots [the unfaithful] And Abominations [things put in place of the Holy: God and truth] Of The Earth.”)
Revelation 18
1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened [given understanding] with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon [the rule of confusion over the earth] the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils [misleader, intentionally misleading], and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled fill to her double.
7 How much she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the LORD God who judges her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is your judgment come.
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise [deception and confusion] any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odors, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14 And the fruits that your soul lusted after are departed from you, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from you, and you shall find them no more at all.
15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to naught. And every shipmaster [misleaders controlling institutions], and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
20 Rejoice over her, you heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in you; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in you; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in you;
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you: for your merchants were the great men of the earth; for by your sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
The word above, in Matthew 11:12, rendered “take it by force” is harpazo, which we’ve discussed many times as the word rendered “caught up” in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. It’s the word the false prophets have twisted into their fly away false doctrine. It’s, in fact, the LORD taking hold of His people, “pulling” them from the hand, the fires, of the misleaders holding them down (katecho – “withhold” and “let” in 2 Thessalonians 2:6 & 70) and who will hold them down until taken out of the way.
As we are told this, in 1 Thessalonians 4, 2 Thessalonians 2, and Jude 1, we plainly see how the LORD does it and what He is doing. It’s as John tells us in John 10 when the LORD says (John 10:12) the hirelings flee (shipmasters – see revelation 18:10 above, as they are “Standing far off”) and the wolf “catches” (harpazo – seize by violence) the sheep and scatters (divides and conquers) the sheep.
John 10
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this [ONE] fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice [of the archangel, as the trumpet calling all to gather into ONE BODY]; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
17 Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it [by my voice, by the truth, seize My ONE BODY back] again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long do you make us to doubt? If you be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and you believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But you believe not, because you are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice [and are awakened, alerted into a sober mind], and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck [harpazo] them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck [harpazo] them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
1 Thessalonians 4
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the LORD, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the LORD shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel [the messenger of the covenant, who is the savior the LORD has sent], and with the trump of God [calling us to gather to Him in ONE BODY]: and the dead [who sleep in ignorance and have no signs of life] in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught [harpazo – seized to Him by His voice] up together with them in the clouds [where understand is], to meet the LORD in the air [clear understanding that was before darkened by the smoke of the furnace]: and so shall we ever be [in heaven – the place of full understanding] with the LORD.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 5
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the LORD so comes as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say [as they have said], Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness [ignorance], that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 You are all the children of light [understanding], and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober [a clear mind – discerning truth and reality].
7 For they that sleep sleep [have no signs of life] in the night [because of the darkness]; and they that be drunken are drunken [have minds, by the deceptions they’ve consumed, unable to distinguish between truth and their own delusion] in the night [because of the darkness].
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by [the voice of] our LORD Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
2 Thessalonians 2
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ, and by [at His coming] our gathering together unto him [in ONE BODY, away from the deception of deceiver who’ve scattered us],
2 That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand [when He, as now, comes to gather us].
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first [an apostacy – come by the deceivers misleading us away from the LORD, from where He gathers us], and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition [who in the patter of Reuben, went up into His father’s place, and for this he will not continue – he will not receive his birthright];
4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sit in the temple of God [in His place], showing himself that he is God.
5 Remember you not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now you know what withholds [katecho] that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now lets [katecho] will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the LORD shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness [understanding] of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; BECAUSE they received not the love of the TRUTH, that they might [by TRUTH] be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the TRUTH, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the LORD, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit [the LORD unknown, separating us from the deception] and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our LORD Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our LORD Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
2 Thessalonians 3
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the LORD may [as a river of living water] have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you [accepted as the genuine word of God]:
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable [men who will not accept reason] and wicked men [the same Wicked men spoken of in chapter 2]: for all men have not faith.
3 But the LORD is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil [the deception of wicked men who put themselves in God’s place].
4 And we have confidence in the LORD touching you His word [effectually working in you], that you both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the LORD direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for naught; but wrought with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies [inserting themselves into the lives of others, usurping power over them].
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our LORD Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 But you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 Now the LORD of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The LORD be with you all.
Jude
Behold, the LORD comes with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember you the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our LORD Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our LORD Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling [harpazo] them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Isaiah 33
1 Woe to you that spoil, and you were not spoiled; and deals treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with you! when you shall cease to spoil, you shall be spoiled; and when you shall make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with you.
2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for you: be you their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
3 At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of yourself the nations were scattered.
4 And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar [bringing the transformation]: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them [devouring all their corruption and misleading].
5 The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he has filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
8 The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceases: he has broken the covenant, he has despised the cities, he regarded no man.
9 The earth mourns and languishes: Lebanon [the high places where purity should be seen] is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon [understanding made plain] is like a wilderness; and Bashan [fruitful] and Carmel [the garden] shake off their fruits.
10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
11 You shall conceive chaff, you shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.
12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns [misleaders] cut up shall they be burned in the fire.
13 Hear, you that are far off [as in Revelation 18:10], what I have done; and, you that are near, acknowledge my might.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 He that walketh righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of oppressions, that shakes his hands from holding of bribes, that stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
17 Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off [burning].
18 Your heart shall meditate terror [consider and fear]. Where is the scribe [caphar – where is this written]? where is the receiver [shaqal – where is this word suspended, held until now]? where is he that counted [caphar – who wrote of this as] the towers [migdal – the tower of Babel, Babylon]?
19 You shall not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than you can perceive [as happened at the tower of Babel]; of a stammering tongue, that you can not understand.
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: your eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
21 But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams [his word flowing to His people who receive Him]]; wherein shall go no galley with oars [institutions rowing against, opposing, the flow of His living waters], neither shall gallant ship pass thereby [going away from truth, as the shipmaster will].
22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
23 Your tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail [nec – the churches without the LORD, without His word from the son of man, couldn’t raise a defense against the serpents destroying us]: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.
24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
When the LORD, in Revelation 18:21, tells of “violence” by which Babylon is thrown down, it is the once used Greek word hormema, said to mean “an attack, i.e. (abstractly) precipitancy [Rushing or falling headlong – by impulsiveness in thought or action; rash – abrupt or unexpected; sudden].”
It (hormema) refers us to the twice-used word it’s from, horme, “of uncertain affinity; a violent impulse, i.e. onset:–assault.” The “unknown affinity” is the once used Hebrew word (name) Horam, “(meaning to tower up [as Babylon]); high,” which the Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon says means “exalted.”
Do you really think you’re going to be allowed to leave this planet? For what, to spread your confusion and delusion (your perverted definitions of good and evil) to the universe. I Laugh! You’ll remain here in Hell as long as you choose your ignorant ways and ideas, because there’s a great chasm between our minds and yours.
Genesis 11
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower [migdal], whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower [migdal], which the children of men built.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel [Babylon]; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
Joshua 10
33 Then Horam [who exalted himself against God] king of Gezer [who divided the people into many pieces] came up to help Lachish [those who think they are invincible]; and Joshua [Jesus – Jehovah’s Salvation in the flesh] smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.
34 And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon [where the calves were put in God’s place], and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:
35 And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
James uses the word horme to tell us it’s the unbridled tongue of the shipmaster that turns their institution into Hell’s fires and those in them into perdition, “because they receive not the love of the truth.”
James 3
1 My brethren, be not many [ship]masters [teachers], knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds [the winds of false doctrine, misleading teaching and advice], yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor [horme – here and now: the towers of Babel, and violence of the men therein] lists [will].
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed of mankind:
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing [the wicked saying they do evil to bring good]. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom [lying against the truth] descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil [misleading] work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Psalms 75
1 Unto you, O God, do we give thanks, unto you do we give thanks: for that your name is near your wondrous works declare.
2 When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn [exalt not your wicked ways into power to rule]:
5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
6 For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another.
8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he pours out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
9 But I will declare forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 All the horns [power and rule] of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns [power and rule, as God rules, with equity and justice] of the righteous shall be exalted.
