The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

The LORD begins today with the above, Joel 3:16, speaking of when His voice is heard and shakes heaven and earth. As discussed in the previous post, this is the son’s voice, who is also the seventh (arch) angel. He comes as the messenger sent (shalach – as a Branch shooting forth out of the dry ground of confusion) described in Obadiah 1:1, and the messenger who comes in the manner Elihu speaks of in Job 33:22.

Joel 3
9 Proclaim you this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all you heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause your mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put you in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
17 So shall you know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim [of Branches shooting forth].
19 Egypt [our oppressors] shall be a desolation, and Edom [the enemies mixed among us, saying their war against us is peace] shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah [God’s elect remnant], because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwells in Zion.

He, the son who rises in the order of Melchisedec, as described in Hebrews, is heard speaking from heaven: the place of full understanding, when all the parts of God’s word are understood as one succinct annunciation of good tidings, it’s to the general assembly of the church of the firstborn.

Hebrews 12
22 But you [who received correction and awakened out of confusion] are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.

The meaning of the twelve times used Hebrew word tsiyr, rendered “ambassador” in Obadiah 1:1, is: “from 6696; a hinge (as pressed in turning); also a throe (as a phys. or mental pressure); also a herald or errand-doer (as constrained by the principal).” It’s from the word tsuwr (6696), meaning, “to cramp, i.e. confine (in many applications, literally and figuratively, formative or hostile),” most often rendered “siege” or “besiege.”

The word (tsiyr) is four times rendered “ambassador,” twice as “messenger,” and five times telling of birth pains. In Daniel 10:16, it’s used when, from Gabriel (“man of God”), Daniel received his vision and is strengthened when the one speaking, whose appearance is like the sons of men, touches his lips. It’s there rendered “sorrow” as he (Daniel – the judgment of God) understands the vision is of when he has lost his strength, and the birth pangs come as the LORD laying siege, by His words, against those who hold His strength (Ariel).

As we know, this latter aspect, as we’ve many times discussed, described in Isaiah 29, describes when the LORD lays siege against Ariel. As we’ve seen in other previous posts, the origin name (Ariel – meaning lion of God, who plucks, ‘arah, us from the fires) is ‘ariy, meaning lion, the word used in Judges 14 when we’re told of the lion’s carcass, from where Samson found sweetness (honey). It’s speaking of his strength’s origin in understanding the well-ordered word of God. It is to this carcass those who mount up with wings as eagles will gather.

Matthew 24
27 For as the lightning [understanding] comes out of the east [as the sunrise shining upon all], and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For where-so-ever the carcass [of strength] is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Isaiah 40
5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.
28 Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The following, ending with Isaiah 21, is from the post of 29 June 2020:

Judges 14 begins by telling of Samson (meaning as the sun or sunlight) going to Timnath (meaning an assigned portion) where he encounters and kills (as a sacrifice) a lion. It is in this lion’s carcass he later finds a swarm of bees and honey (deborah debash – where he found the foundation in properly ordered words, which was His source of understanding – strength).

The carcass here is the body of Christ, as the body of Joshua the son of Nun, and as Ariel. Joshua (born into a perpetual life – the son of Nun) is buried in Timnathserah (His {My} assigned portion is the sun or sunlight – as a giver of understanding), which we are told in Joshua 24:30.

As we know, Joshua is the English transliteration of the Hebrew name Yehowshu’a, then into Iesous in Greek and from there into Jesus in English. Jesus is the name of the body of Christ, meaning we are Jehovah’s Salvation personified, which comes as His light (understanding) brings us to life and we shine the same light on others.

The word rendered “lion” in Judges 14 is the word ‘ariy, which, when the name God is added, is the name Ariel, meaning lion of God, or from where God’s strength comes. We know from Isaiah 29, this place (Ariel) has been taken and to retake it the LORD against it has laid siege. The chapter ends speaking of what He has recaptured, saying, “They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.”

Isaiah 29
1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add you year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.
3 And I will camp against you round about, and will lay siege [tsuwr] against you with a mount, and I will raise forts against you.
4 And you shall be brought down, and shall speak out of the ground, and your speech shall be low out of the dust, and your voice shall be, as of one that has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech shall whisper out of the dust.
5 Moreover the multitude of your strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passes away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
6 You shall be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
7 And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
8 It shall even be as when a hungry man dreams, and, behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreams, and, behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul has appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry you out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 For the LORD has poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers has he covered.
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I am not learned.
13 Wherefore the LORD said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?
16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 For the terrible one is brought to naught, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
21 That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproves in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of naught.
22 Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
23 But when he sees his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

The word rendered “murmured” above is the three times used word ragan, meaning “to grumble, i.e. rebel,” which is leading into the first part of the following chapter.

Isaiah 30
1 Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover [your faces] with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
2 That walk to go down into Egypt [they are going willingly into captivity], and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh [in vain they trust in those in the seats of power], and to trust in the shadow of Egypt [which blocks the sun of God, the light of His understanding]!
3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
4 For his princes were at Zoan [the place of departure – away from the LORD’s strength], and his ambassadors came to Hanes [and fled from God’s grace – the free gift of understanding].
5 They were all ashamed of [disappointed when they couldn’t deliver what they promised to] a people that could not profit them, nor be a help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
6 The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.
7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever:
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
12 Wherefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant.
14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
15 For thus says the LORD God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and you would not.

The bitterness that remains, which all except the elect have chosen, is described in Psalms 64:3.

Psalms 64
1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter [mar] words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

The breach spoken of above in Isiah 30:13, the “swelling” out in a high, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant, described in Psalms 64, is occurring now. The word “swelling” here is the five times used word ba’ah, meaning “to gush over, i.e. to swell; (figuratively) to desire earnestly; by implication to ask.” It is referring us to its appearing twice in Isaiah 21:12, where the watchman sees the lion (the ‘ariy), when he is in the place held by the devil (sa’iyr – Seir), when the morning comes.

Isaiah 21
1 The burden of the desert [midbar] of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass [sweeping away the old ideas and ways]; so it comes from the desert, from a terrible land [yare’ – the land causing fear, see verse 4 and Isaiah 8:12 & 13, “Say you not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear you their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.”]
2 A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer deals treacherously, and the spoiler spoils. Go up, O Elam [this is speaking of eternity, as in the ancient things {God’s word} stored of old, to be released now in this war – also see Jeremiah 49 telling of the LORD’s throne being established here]: besiege [tsuwr], O Media [people in the middle – as in lukewarm, Revelation 3:14 thru 22]; all the sighing [‘anachah – referring us to Isaiah 35:10 & 51:11 when the LORD silences the enemies and puts His words in our mouths] thereof have I made to cease.
3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs [tsiyr] have taken hold upon me, as the pangs [triyr] of a woman that travails [she is bringing forth a man child]: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
4 My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure has he turned into fear unto me.
5 Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, you princes, and anoint the shield.
6 For thus has the LORD said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he sees.
7 And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
8 And he cried, A lion [‘ariy – the body of Christ rising by/with His strength]: My LORD, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
9 And, behold, here comes a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon [confusion’s rule] is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he has broken unto the ground.
10 O my threshing [opening the word, referring us to Isaiah 28, and destroying the gates of hell], and the corn [ben – sons] of my [threshing] floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
11 The burden of Dumah [short for Edom {Esau} and meaning the silencing of the enemies in our midst – as in verse 2 above]. He called to me out of Seir [the high places of Esau], Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night [the time of ignorance, which is caused by their {Edom’s} words]?
12 The watchman said, The morning [understand coming as the light of the sunrise] comes, and also the night [and these men will reject this word and choose to remain in ignorance]: if you will enquire [ba’ah], enquire – [ba’ah – only used three other times – here referring us to Obadiah, verse 6, where it is rendered “sought up,” which tells us this is how the secret things of Esau are revealed {by enquiring}]: return [shuwb – turn us], come.
13 The burden upon Arabia [the desert spoken of in verse 1, without water, without God’s word]. In the forest in Arabia shall you lodge, O you traveling companies of Dedanim [these people are defined in Jeremiah 49:8 – they are those spoken of in the prior verse, who return, and in doing escape the calamity that comes upon Esau].
14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema [same as Teman – the place of the Theophany – where the LORD appears with His ten-thousands, as Enoch said, “Behold, the LORD comes with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”] brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented [went before] with their bread him that fled.
15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
16 For thus has the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, and all the glory of Kedar [darkness] shall fail:
17 And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar [darkness], shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel has spoken it.

Judges 14
5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath [Timnathserah = Timnath Samson – Tim the giver of sunlight], and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
7 And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
8 And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass of the lion.
9 And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcass of the lion.
10 So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
11 And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.
12 And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if you can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
13 But if you cannot declare it me, then shall you give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth your riddle, that we may hear it.
14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice your husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn you and your father’s house with fire: have you called us to take that we have? is it not so?
16 And Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, You do but hate me, and lovest me not: you have put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and have not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it you?
17 And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.
18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion? and he said unto them, If you had not plowed with my heifer, you had not found out my riddle.
19 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
20 But Samson’s wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.

The following is from the post of 13 September 2021:
Now I am come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

Friends, In the above, Daniel 10:14, the LORD brings to our attention several basic rules of understanding. The first is it’s a small thing for God to write His word specifically to be received by us today, several thousand years ago through His Spirit in a man. His intended purpose is to strengthen our faith by understanding, which (strength) allows us to overcome the pervading evil saturating the day.

This is what Gabriel (the man, warrior, of God) is telling Daniel, who at the report, realizes His own weakness, is silenced and then able to receive the LORD’s strength. As we saw in the post of 8 August 2021, this awakening and strengthening are now hastening (chuwsh), as the LORD, as in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, Jude 1:23, and Zechariah 3:2 plucks (harpazo and natsal) us from the fires of the world’s troubles. These (fires) only come after our weakening, and in the resulting ignorance, we sleep in the dust (ashes of the fires, the ruin) of the earth.

As we saw in that title (8 August 2021), it’s when, “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten [chuwsh] it in his time.”

Below, ending with Deuteronomy 32, are excerpts from the above-referenced post:

The above is Isaiah 60:22, the final verse in a chapter that tells of when the light (understanding) has come into the gross darkness (ignorance) covering the earth and her people. The time of the increase, the harvest now hastening is in the time when people no longer put their trust in government, of church or state, but in Him to whom it appertains.

Jeremiah 10
1 Hear you the word which the LORD speaks unto you, O house of Israel:
2 Thus says the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

7 Who would not fear you, O King of nations? for to you does it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto you.
8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish [those who’ve fled from their vows], and gold from Uphaz [whose god is gold: the wealth they extort], the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing [they put their creations in God’s place and call them God]: they are all the work of cunning men.
10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
11 Thus shall you say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12 He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightning with rain, and brings forth the wind [His Spirit] out of his treasures [by his understanding].
14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath [life] in them.
15 They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps.
24 O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing.
25 Pour out your fury upon the heathen that know you not, and upon the families that call not on your name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

As we know, the question above, “Who would not fear you, O King of nations?” which tells us to whom it appertains, is quoted in Revelation 15, which speaks of the victory over the idols. It comes when the testimony in heaven is opened, and the wrath of God has come to smoke the vermin from their hiding places. It, as does Isaiah 60, tells of when all gather to the light, describing it here (in Revelation 15) as when the LORD’s “judgments are made manifest.”

The above, in speaking of Uphaz, refers us to Daniel 10, the name’s only other appearance. There Daniel tells of seeing the glorious (splendid and pure) looking idol that comes first, by which his strength is removed, he becomes corrupt, and falls into a deep sleep. He, in the person of Gabriel (warrior of God), later calls this idol the prince of Persia (meaning splendid and pure), against who he fights. He (Gabriel) says after he has gone forth, “the prince of Grecia [Yavan] shall come,” the name said to be “probably from the same as 3196; effervescing (i.e. hot and active).”

The Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary definition of #3196: yayin, is “from an unused root meaning to effervesce; wine (as fermented); by implication, intoxication.” The name is speaking of the time of intoxication (stupefaction) that is Daniel’s deep sleep.

Gabriel ends, speaking of the one to whom it appertains, none hold with (has this understanding with) him in these things, but Michael (who is like God) your prince. As we know, Michael is the one described (in Daniel 12), as here in the latter days awakening God’s people from the earth’s dust (ashes and ruin). This is the person in Daniel 10, whose voice wakes Him, after he’s become dumb (silent) and without strength, when his mouth is touched and opened by one like (similitude of) the appearance of the son of man.

These are describing what is now hastening, and to who it appertains.

Daniel 10
1 In the third year of Cyrus [LORD of the furnace – as in Genesis 15:12 thru 17, when Abram, in darkness in a deep sleep, saw the furnace] the king of Persia [the King of kings, who is truly splendid and pure] a thing was revealed unto Daniel [the judgment of God], whose name was called Belteshazzar [“LORD of the straitened’s treasure” the LORD of understanding held in Shinar – see Daniel 1:2]; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel [the hastening – as in the title];
5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz [whose god is gold]:
6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. [Jeremiah 10:8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. 9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish [those who’ve fled from their vows], and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing they are all the work of cunning men.]
7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9 Yet heard I the voice of his words [misleading]: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 And, behold, a hand [of God’s anointed son] touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto you, and stand upright: for unto you am I now sent [shalach – sent as a massenger]. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to understand, and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I am come for your words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia [the prince of the power of the air, who claims to be splendid and pure, but instead corrupts and destroys] withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael [the one who is like God], one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia [the King of kings].
14 Now I am come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days [days we know are explained in Daniel 12, and there showing us the deep sleep started with Abram’s vision and ends now].
15 And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men [son of man] touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said unto him that stood before me, O my LORD, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
17 For how can the servant of this my LORD talk with this my LORD? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath [life] left in me. [Now, in judgment, when this is confessed, the resurrection, the quickening to life, takes place and now hastens]
18 Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,
19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto you, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my LORD speak [these words which return strength, as understanding, light]; for you have strengthened me.
20 Then said he, Know you wherefore I come unto you? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.
21 But I will show you that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Daniel 12
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
4 But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Isaiah 60
1 Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you.

14 The sons also of them that afflicted you shall come bending unto you; and all they that despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

18 Violence shall no more be heard in your land, wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.
19 The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto you: but the LORD shall be unto you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.
20 Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.
21 Your people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

The word “hasten” in the title verse is chuwsh, meaning “to hurry; figuratively, to be eager with excitement or enjoyment:–(make) haste(-n), ready.” Its meaning implies the opposite of shame (the disappointment and dishonor when what is foretold and therefore expected, doesn’t come).

It (chuwsh) is the elation (rapture) occurring when what is expected is seen coming, as we rush toward it hurrying its meeting. As we know, this is also a facet in the word harpazo, rendered “caught up” in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (which the false prophets and false teachers of our time have twisted into their fly away false doctrines).

The word (harpazo) means to seize, by force, and is rendered “pulling” in Jude 1:23 where we’re told to, with fear, pull some from the fire caused by their garments spotted by the flesh. The referenced “spot” is that spoken of earlier in the chapter, in verse 12, when describing the false prophets among us, who “are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water [without God-given understanding], carried about of winds [of false doctrine]; trees whose fruit wither [as it now does in the presence of the LORD], without fruit, twice dead [the “second death” in this judgment], plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves [proud men] of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness [ignorance] forever.”

Jude 1
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the LORD comes with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember you the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our LORD Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our LORD Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling [harpazo] them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh [false prophets, from where we are pulled into His clear air].
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

As we’ve seen, the LORD forcefully pulling us to Him, implies we (the church) don’t want to go there, and neither can we get to Him by ourselves (by our own means). He is the only way, through His truth and light. This aspect is what He speaks of, recorded in John 21:18, saying “Truly, truly, I say unto you, When you were young, you girded yourself, and walked where you would: but when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird you [prepare you with things needed], and carry you where you would not [and could not, go yourself].”

What hastens our return to Him is our, “eager with excitement or enjoyment,” taking His now stretched-out hand. This same event is the calamity that falls upon those who’ve scattered and now hold down (katecho) God’s people, who will hold them down (let) until they are taken out of the way.

Deuteronomy 32
9 O that they [My people] were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30 How should one [a little one who shall become the many thousands, and tens of thousands times tens of thousands] chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
35 To me belongs vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste [chuwsh].
36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock [idols] in whom they trusted,
38 Which [false prophets and false teachers with their false god, whose god is their belly] did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live forever.

Psalms 27
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 When you said, Seek you my face [presence]; my heart said unto you, Your face [presence], LORD, will I seek.
9 Hide not your face [presence] far from me; put not your servant away in anger: you have been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage [chazaq], and he shall strengthen [‘amats] your heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
