O my dove, that are in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
The LORD begins today with the above, Song of Solomon 2:14, which is Him, through Solomon, telling of the revelation of Himself from the secret place (the stairs into heaven). As above, in the chapter, He, the “beloved” Solomon is seeking, speaks of His identifying mannerisms and says He is as “a roe or a young hart.”
The Hebrew word rendered “roe” is tsbiy, which here means the GLORY of the LORD, and the word “hart” is ‘ayal, meaning His STRENGTH. These defining traits, His Highness, are seen (on the mountain of transfiguration) when He is revealed, His voice is heard, from the darkness, when the day breaks.
Song of Solomon 2
7 I charge you, O you daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes [tsbiy – the glory to be reveled in you], and by the hinds [‘ayalah – when the strength of Jehovah awakens in you] of the field, that you stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please. [“I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” Now I say, in the name of Jehovah Salvation (JESUS), it’s time to awaken!]
8 The voice of my beloved! behold, he comes leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.
9 My beloved is like a roe [the Glory of the LORD revealed] or a young hart [as the His strength rising from the dust {ruin} of the earth]: behold, he stands behind our wall, he looks forth at the windows, showing himself through the lattice.
10 My beloved spoke, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle [dove – the sign of the end reached] is heard in our land;
13 The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
16 My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feeds among the lilies.
17 Until the day break [understanding has come, by His voice heard], and the shadows [ignorance] flee away, turn, my beloved, and be your like a roe [be the glory of the LORD revealed] or a young hart [as His strength in us] upon the mountains of Bether.
The name Bether only appears this one time. It’s from the three times used word bether, meaning parts or pieces. It’s the word used to tell of the two pieces of the sacrifice passed between when God makes a covenant with His people. In Genesis 15:10, it’s used when speaking of the covenant the LORD made with Abram (Abraham), which we know also describes the time of his (all God’s people’s) deep sleep in the fiery furnace. The time is of His people’s separation from Him and their parts (the scattered), during which a burning “lamp” (lappiyd) is seen passing between the “pieces” (gezer). As we know, this time (between then and now) is defined in Daniel 12, where the formula is showing it ending now with the LORD’s appearing.

33 Then Horam [who exalted himself against God] king of Gezer [who divided the people into many pieces] came up to help Lachish [those who think they are invincible]; and Joshua [Jesus – Jehovah’s Salvation in the flesh] smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.
34 And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon [where the calves were put in God’s place], and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:
35 And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
Genesis 15
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if your be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
7 And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought you out of Ur [flames] of the Chaldees [those who use their words of deception as spells to mislead, manipulate, and control people, who have now led the world into mass delusion and insanity], to give you this [the U.S.] land to inherit it.
8 And he said, LORD God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?
9 And he said unto him, Take me a heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece [bether] one against another: but the birds divided he not.
11 And when the fowls came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away.
12 And when the sun [when understanding left the earth] was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness [ignorance] fell upon him.
13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
15 And you shall go to thy fathers in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age.
16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites [those who exalt themselves, their ways and ideas, above God’s] is not yet full.
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp [lappiyd] that passed between those pieces [gezer].
18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt [word of oppression] unto the great river, the river Euphrates [these fruitful words]:
The burning lamp is the LORD with us always, during the deep sleep unknown, until now when His voice is heard, and He makes His presence (paniym) known.
The word lappiyd, meaning “to shine; a flambeau, lamp or flame,” only appears fourteen times. Isaiah uses it once, in Isaiah 62:1, there speaking of it as the LORD’s salvation going forth. The only other time it appears in the major prophets is in Ezekiel 1:13, where it’s the appearance of the living creature out of who comes lightning (understanding).
Isaiah 62
1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness [understanding], and the salvation thereof as a lamp [lappiyd] that burns.
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and your shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
3 You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 You shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but you shall be called Hephzibah [“my delight is in her” the name of Manasseh’s mother, representing the teachers who caused God’s people to no longer know Him – here once she repents and returns to her first love, who is the LORD], and thy land Beulah [married – to the LORD and become ONE BODY with Him]: for the LORD delights in you, and thy land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall thy sons marry you: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over you. [The end of the deep sleep – when the separation from God, and our parts, end in ONE BODY.]
6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,
7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
8 The LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for your enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which you have labored:
9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.
10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare you the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard [nec – the pole upon which the fiery brazen serpent was raised, as the son of man must be] for the people.
11 Behold [see], the LORD has proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say you to the daughter of Zion, Behold [see], thy salvation comes; behold [see], his reward is with him, and his work before [paniym – His work manifesting His presence] him.
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and your shall be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
Ezekiel 1
1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar [the word flowing from far off – from the past to the present and on to the future – always moving forward], that the heavens [understanding was given by the word] were opened, and I saw visions of God [I saw as He sees].
2 In the fifth day [the day of God’s grace] of the month, which was the fifth year [the year of God’s grace] of king Jehoiachin’s [the king who Jehovah will {NOW} establish] captivity,
3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel [God’s Strength] the priest, the son of Buzi [the LORD’s contempt for evil misleaders], in the land of the Chaldeans [the deceivers who’ve caused the worlds insanity] by the river Chebar [the word of God came for afar]; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.
4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind [from where the LORD is heard, before He is seen – see Job 38:1 & 40:6] came out of the north [from where it is hidden in darkness: ignorance], a great cloud [where understanding is held when it leaves the earth], and a fire infolding itself [the LORD revealing Himself], and a brightness [understanding] was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures [life in the understanding given by the word of God]. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man [in the flesh, from where God’s glory is manifested by understanding Him word].
6 And every one had four faces [four traits manifesting God’s presence], and every one had four wings [which raise them into the air, into heaven].
7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot [taking them forward into the work of God]: and they sparkled like the color of burnished brass [as the fiery serpent, working to give understanding that is the salvation of God’s people].
8 And they had the hands [doing the work, of writing the word of God, to be sent forward to give understanding as the LORD has given it] of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
9 Their wings were joined one to another [their work in the heavens, with understanding, with each phase a connected continuation of the former and the later]; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward [as the word is always sent forward in time, which {time} itself never goes backward].
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man [the flesh in which God is manifested], and the face of a lion [in who is God’s strength], on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox [to do God’s work] on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle [rising into heaven, full understanding, which is God’s glory]. [1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.]
11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies [the LORD unknown, working in this way].
12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit [the LORD unknown, working in this way] was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures [1 Corinthians 15:45 & 47 The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the LORD from heaven], their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps [lappiyd – the LORD’s salvation going forth]: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning [understanding].
14 And the living creatures [life in the understanding given by the word of God] ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning [understanding given and received].
15 Now as I beheld the living creatures [the life giving word], behold one wheel [understanding written and sent forward] upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces [the giver who ran the course set before him].
16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel [understand sent forward and, when received, giving understand].
17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
18 As for their rings [the full circuit of the work], they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes [the marvelous work, opening eyes to see the Glory is the LORD’s] round about them four.
19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth [as eagles – into heaven, where is full understanding], the wheels were lifted up.
20 Whithersoever the spirit [the work and word of God, at first unknown] was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature [the life giving word of God] was in the wheels [the word sent forward to give us understanding].
21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth [as eagles, when the receiver is perfected], the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
22 And the likeness of the firmament [the exposition rightly dividing the word of God from the errors of man, which God calls heaven] upon the heads of the living creature was as the color of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
24 And when they went, I heard the noise [qowl – voice] of their wings, like the noise [qowl – voice] of great waters, as the voice [qowl] of the Almighty, the voice [qowl] of speech, as the noise [qowl – voice] of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
25 And there was a voice [qowl] from the firmament [giving the exposition] that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne [of God, from where it comes], as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man [in who God’s glory is manifested] above upon it.
27 And I saw as the color of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness [understanding] round about.
28 As the appearance of the bow [the light divided into colors seen] that is in the cloud [where understanding was held when it left the earth] in the day of rain [when the word of God is sent from the cloud], so was the appearance of the brightness [understanding] round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of [qowl – the LORD’s glory heard, before He is seen in the] one that spoke.
1 Corinthians 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand;
2 By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was SEEN of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was SEEN of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was SEEN of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was SEEN of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24 Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he has put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? [see Romans 6:3 below]
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our LORD, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantages it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 You fool, that which you sow is not quickened [isn’t brough to life from the dead], except it die:
37 And that which your sow, your sow not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the LORD from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our LORD Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the LORD.
Romans 5
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our LORD Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our LORD.
Romans 6
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death has no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto God.
11 Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our LORD.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD.
Isaiah 4
2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful [tsbiy] and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
4 When the LORD shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
Job 38
12 Have your commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.
16 Have your entered into the springs of the sea? or have your walked in the search of the depth?

John 10

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
12 But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches [harpazo] them, and scatters the sheep.
13 The hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be ONE FOLD, and ONE SHEPHERD.
17 Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
20 And many of them said, He has a devil, and is mad; why hear you him?
21 Others said, These are not the words of him that has a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost your make us to doubt? If your be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and you believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But you believe not, because you are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck [harpazo] them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck [harpazo] them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shown you from my Father; for which of those works do you stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone you not; but for blasphemy; and because that your, being a man, make yourself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, You are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say you of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though you believe not me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spoke of this man were true.
Psalms 82
1 God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.
2 How long will you judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for your shall inherit all nations.
