He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
The above, Isaiah 57:2, speaks of the dead, who enter rest in peace: by (walking into life in) the LORD’s uprightness. As discussed in the previous post, this occurs now when all are dead.
The key word in the verse is “uprightness,” from the four times used Hebrew word nakoach, meaning “straightforward, i.e. (figuratively), equitable, correct, or (abstractly), integrity:–plain, right, uprightness.”
One of the other three times it (nakoach) appears comes in 2 Samuel 15:3 when Absalom takes it upon himself to become a judge at the gate of Jerusalem. This eventually turns into his rebellion when he takes the throne (in the pattern of the son of perdition, the pattern of Reuben), putting himself in His father’s place.
The first verse of Isaiah 57 speaks of the righteous (tsaddiyq, from tsadaq) “perishing,” from the word ‘abad, meaning “to wander away, i.e. lose oneself; by implication to perish (causative, destroy).” This is a direct reference to the Zadok (tsadaq) spoken of in 2 Samuel 15, who leaves with David to escape Absalom, whom David sends back to defeat the counsel of Ahithophel (brother of folly) Absalom’s chief adviser.
The other two times nakoach appears are in Proverbs 8:9 & 24:26.
Proverbs 8
1 Does not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2 She stands in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3 She cries at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 O you simple, understand wisdom: and, you fools, be you of an understanding heart.
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness [tsedeq]; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain [nakoach] to him that understands, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions [mzimmah – evil conspiring].
13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18 Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills were I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass [chuwg – the circuit, beginning to end] upon the face [paniym] of the depth [occurring by the presence of deep understanding]:
28 When he established the clouds above [where understanding is held in heaven when it leaves the earth]: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea [humanity] his decree [choq], that the waters [word of men] should not pass [‘abar – would not bring the dead to life] his commandment [peh – mouth, without His word from His mouth]: when he appointed [chaqaq – by the decrees of His mouth] the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him [paniym – always in the LORD’s presence];
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32 Now therefore hearken [shama’ – obey] unto me, O you children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Hear [shama’ – obey] instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Blessed is the man that hears [shama’ – obeys] me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoso finds me finds life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD.
36 But he that sins against me wrongs his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
Proverbs 24
21 My son, fear you the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change [shanah – here meaning to alter truth, repeating the corrupt words of wicked men]:
22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly [pith’owm]; and who knows the ruin of them both?
23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
24 He that says unto the wicked, You are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
26 Every man shall kiss his lips that gives a right [nakoach] answer.
27 Prepare your work without, and make it fit for yourself in the field; and afterwards build your house.
28 Be not a witness against your neighbor without cause; and deceive not with your lips.
29 Say not, I will do so to him as he has done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
30 I went by the field of [the earth under] the slothful, and by the vineyard of the [church under] man void of understanding;
31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns [misleaders], and nettles [deceivers] had covered the face [paniym – the presence of the LORD] thereof, and the stone wall [men built upon the foundation of God] thereof was broken down.
32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.
33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
34 So shall your poverty come as one that travels, and your want as an armed man.
The “bed” spoken of in Isaiah 57:2, is spoken of above, asking how the righteous remain asleep. The word “travels” is from the Hebrew word halak, the same word rendered “walking” in the title verse (Isaiah 57:2).
Proverbs 6
9 How long will you sleep, O sluggard? when will you arise out of your sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 So shall your poverty come as one that travels [halak], and your want as an armed [magen – shield, that is a] man.
12 A naughty [bliya’al – rejecting discipline] person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth [twisting and perverting truth].
13 He winks with his eyes [signaling his evil intentions to his evil allies], he speaks with his feet [misleading those following his evil advice], he teaches with his [false accusing] fingers;
14 Frowardness is in his heart [when the foundation of the mind is upon twisted and perverted truth], he devises mischief continually; he sows discord [madown – dividing those opposing his evil].
15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly [pith’owm]; suddenly [petha’] shall he be broken without remedy [marpe’].
16 These six things does the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him [nephesh – dividing His ONE BODY]:
17 A proud look [one], a lying tongue [two], and hands that shed innocent blood [three],
18 A heart that devises wicked imaginations [four], feet that be swift in running to mischief [five],
19 A false witness that speaks lies [six], and he that sows discord [mdan – from madown, evil judgment] among brethren [seven].
20 My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of your mother:
21 Bind them continually upon your heart, and tie them about your neck.
22 When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall keep you; and when you awake, it shall talk with you.
Isaiah 57
1 The righteous [tsaddiyq] perish [‘abad – wander way into death], and no man lays it to heart: and merciful men are taken away [‘acaph], none considering [biyn – understands] that the righteous [tsaddiyq] is taken away [‘acaph] from the evil to come.
2 He shall enter into peace [shalowm]: they shall rest in their beds [mishkab], each one walking [halak] in his uprightness [nakoach – rising when all becomes plain and right, and he awakens].
3 But draw near hither, you sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
4 Against whom do you sport yourselves? against whom make you a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are you not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.
5 Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree [while hiding behind self-righteousness], slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks [in your false churches, institutions of church and state that drain life from those that put their trust in them]?
6 Among the smooth stones of the stream is your portion [among those worn away by your corrupt waters]; they, they are your lot [to be worn away in like manner]: even to them have you poured a drink offering, you have offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these [your corrupt understanding, which is ignorance and death]?
7 Upon a lofty and high mountain [every institution of church and state government] have you set your bed [in death, the place of the wicked, from where the righteous, in death wandered away]: even thither went you up to offer [your corrupt] sacrifice.
8 Behind the doors also and the posts have you set up your remembrance [zikrown – the entry into death is in your way you teach every generation]: for you have discovered yourself to another than me, and are gone up; you have enlarged your bed [mishkab], and made you a covenant with them; you loved their bed [mishkab] where you saw it.
9 And you went to the king [with your bad advice] with ointment [you claimed was a cure, when it is death], and did increase your perfumes [to hide the stink of your corrupt flesh], and did send your messengers far off, and did debase yourself even unto hell [sheol].
10 You are wearied in the greatness of your way; yet said you not, There is no hope: you have found the life of your hand [that you flesh is animated here doing the work of death]; therefore [in your success doing evil] you were not grieved.
11 And of whom have you been afraid or feared, that you have lied, and have not remembered [zakar] me, nor laid it to your heart? have not I held my peace even of old [sealing My word as I said I would], and you feared me not [and you took My name in vain and spoke in My place, saying I said, when I said nothing to you]?
12 I will [as I now have] declare your righteousness, and your works [to be products of wickedness]; for they shall not profit you.
13 When you cry, let your companies deliver you; but the wind [the Spirit of the Almighty] shall carry them all away; vanity [their own worthlessness] shall take them: but he that puts his trust in me shall possess the land [‘erets – the earth], and shall inherit my holy mountain [My righteous governments in church and state];
14 And shall say, Cast you up, cast you up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block [the creation of the wicked] out of the way of my people.
15 For thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones [who with Me shall inherit the earth].
16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
17 For the iniquity of his covetousness [their corrupt conception of value] was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly [twisting and perverting truth] in the way of his heart [following their own imaginations].
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners [who realize they are dead and in need of life].
19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace [shalowm], peace [shalowm] to him that is far off [rachowq – in his time when the world is ruled by the evil decrees of wicked men in power], and to him that is near [qarowb – those who’ve joined Me in my ONE BODY], says the LORD; and I will heal [rapha’] him [from death awakening them into life].
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea [all humanity agitated], when it cannot rest [not knowing it is the wicked below the surface agitating it], whose waters [words] cast up mire and dirt [where nothing is clear: plain or right].
21 There is no peace [shalowm], says my God, to the wicked.
Friends, we plainly and rightly see that wherever the wicked are in power, every evil, unjust, and immoral way, every insane reversal of reality, every attack against truth, innocence, and life are exalted and falsely called good. They know we know they, those in power, are the destroyers of the world, and they don’t care. As long as they have power, they are going to use it to keep it, to destroy their existential threat: truth that defines them as evil and wicked. They will never give up power without bloodshed. They are evil incarnate, and there is no bound to the extent they will perpetrate it (their evil) upon the world. For those who haven’t realized it yet, they are taking us into an extinction-level event. Without the LORD’s intervention, this intervention, humanity would end here and now.
Father, into Your hands, we commend our lives; please be our sanctuary.
Thus says the LORD:
Jeremiah 8
3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, says the LORD of hosts.
4 Moreover you shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
5 Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
6 I hearkened and heard, but they spoke not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rushes into the battle.
7 Yea, the stork in the heaven knows her appointed times [mow’ed]; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
8 How do you say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
10 Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.
11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation [pquddah – now when He is Present as the Chief Overseer of the earth] they shall be cast down, says the LORD.
13 I will surely consume them, says the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
14 Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God has put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
15 We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!
16 The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan [this judgment day]: the whole land [‘erets – the whole earth] trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land [‘erets – the earth], and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.
17 For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you [with their words, evil decrees, destroying you], says the LORD.
18 When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.
19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country [merchaq ‘erets – the earth in this appointed time the LORD decreed]: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images [their creations], and with strange vanities [worthless ideas that are far from My truth]?
20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
21 For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment has taken hold on me [I cannot understand why humanity refuses to be saved].
22 Is there no balm in Gilead [the cure is in this testimony]; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered [the answer is – a cure rejected isn’t a cure]?
The Greek word rendered “commend” is paratithemi, meaning “to place alongside, i.e. present (food, truth); by implication, to deposit (as a trust or for protection).”
Luke 23
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend [paratithemi] my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost [ekpneo].
The word ekpneo, rendered above “gave up the ghost,” and the same elsewhere two other times, is from ek, denoting the origin from which something (here pneo) proceeds, and pneo, meaning “to breathe hard, i.e. breeze.” It (pneo) is from the word pneuma, meaning “a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit.”
The LORD is describing the manifestation of God, leaving his dead flesh body. Seeing the manifestation is depicted when the veil of the temple is torn open, behind which is the holy of holies where the LORD’s presence is manifested in the conversation, the word spoken by Him there hidden behind the flesh (the veil). This occurs in the presence of the ignorant church (the sun darkened), which remains ignorant and will remain (ignorant) until they return to Him.
Hebrews 10
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God [as in Luke 23:46 above];
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies [the wicked in power] be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he has perfected forever them that are sanctified [made holy in His presence still unknown, and brought into sanctuary].
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost [the LORD unknown in me working and speaking] also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD, I will put my laws [this word from the mouth of God] into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest [of holies, into the LORD’s known presence] by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he has consecrated [initiated] for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having a high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience [foundational mind], and our bodies washed with pure [uncorrupted] water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together [gathering into His ONE BODY], as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day [light] approaching.
26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
2 Corinthians 3
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness [as in nakoach] of speech [declaring it is the LORD alive in us doing His work, and we are His hands]:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face [hiding the LORD’s presence in His flesh], that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished [the ignorance of the manifestation in the flesh, through this new living way]:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remain the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament [not understanding or seeing the LORD was manifesting Himself in the flesh of those through whom He worked]; which vail is done away in Christ [understanding Christ is the LORD’s presence in the flesh].
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the LORD [who is revealing Himself], the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the LORD is that Spirit [pneuma]: and where the Spirit [pneuma] of the LORD is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass [looking in the mirror seeing] the glory of the LORD [that Moses tried to hide], are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit [pneuma] of the LORD.
2 Corinthians 4
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light [understanding] of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the LORD; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts [our minds], to give the light [understanding] of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face [presence] of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels [our flesh bodies], that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the LORD Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our [flesh] body.
11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12 So then death works in us, but life in you.
13 We having the same spirit [pneuma] of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
14 Knowing that he which raised up the LORD Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen [the outward flesh], but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Acts 20
22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit [pneuma] unto Jerusalem [among God’s people in this generation], not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
23 Save that the Holy Ghost [pneuma] witnesses [by me] in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions [necessarily] abide me [which is the price I willingly pay].
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the LORD Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
25 And now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost [pneuma] has made you overseers [episkopos], to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
32 And now, brethren, I commend [paratithemi] you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified [made holy by His word effectually working to make these things plain and right in you, to bring us all into His sanctuary, with Him in His ONE BODY].
33 I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.
34 Yea, you yourselves know, that these [my own hands as God’s] hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
35 I have shown you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak [minded], and to remember the words of the LORD Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give [these treasures I’ve shown you] than to receive [because they are given us to be freely given away].
1 Timothy 3
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was [is] manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit [pneuma – while working unknown], seen of angels [those who become His messengers], preached unto the Gentiles [those who haven’t known Him, even those worshipping idols they call by His name], believed on in the [awakened] world, received up [exalted] into glory.
The final three times (of the nineteen times) paratithemi appears, are in the following.
1 Timothy 1
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity [agape – giving this word as received] out of a pure heart [a purified mind], and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned [not faking it as so many do]:
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling [the worthless words of the apostates];
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men-stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our LORD, who has enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our LORD was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
18 This charge I commit [paratithemi] unto you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on you, that you by them might war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander [those forbidding joining the LORD in His ONE BODY, and those who defend these wicked men]; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme [not to vilify and demonize this word and work of the LORD, of Whom they remain ignorant].
2 Timothy 2
1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit [paratithemi] you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ [Jehovah’s Salvation in the flesh].
4 No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman [he that works in the earth] that labors must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the LORD give you [first] understanding in all things.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead [the first-fruit, now, of the resurrection of the dead] according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound [nor can any man shut what the LORD has now opened].
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not [He is resurrected in me], yet he abides faithful [in me]: he cannot deny himself. [I tell you the truth, I confess without fear, Jehovah’s Salvation, Jesus, is alive from the dead, Christ, in my flesh!]
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the LORD that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as does a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus [those who forbid your Joining with the LORD, in His ONE BODY, one flesh, as His only son, and forbidding this they hide behind the spurious mask of caring for your soul];
18 Who concerning the truth have erred [astocheo], saying that the resurrection is past already [the resurrection comes when you are freed from the lies of the false prophets and false teachers whose words and ways have carried humanity into death and hell]; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation [I Am] of God stands sure, having this seal, The LORD knows them that are his. And, let every one that names the name of Christ depart from [purge out, incise, exercise, work out of yourself] iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these [the vessels of dishonor, in which remains the scum], he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified [made holy], and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the LORD out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife [the way of the wicked, argument, continuously questioning with known lies and false accusation, intended to produce endless confusion].
24 And the servant of the LORD must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil [endless questioning, using lies and false accusation, even when known to be such – with intention, leading captive silly women who are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth], who are taken captive by him at his will.
2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days [of darkness] perilous times shall come [as they have now come].
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such [devils taking you captive] turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses [against him casting down rods which turned to serpents, which Aaron’s rod, turned into a serpent, ate] so do these also resist [satan] the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith [false prophets with not a word of God in them, speaking their own words against the son of man God sent to free His people from this oppression].
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
10 But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the LORD delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue you in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;
15 And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works [which is the good fight we fight].
2 Timothy 4
1 I charge you therefore before God, and the LORD Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch you in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.
1 Peter 4
1 Forasmuch then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revelling, banqueting, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that you run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit [pneuma].
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be you therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
10 As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God gives: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit [pneuma] of glory and of God rests upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit [paratithemi] the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator [who is creating us].
Psalms 53
1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that does good.
2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that does good, no, not one.
4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God has scattered the bones of him that encamped against you: you have put them to shame, because God has despised them.
6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Psalms 54
1 Save me, O God, by your name, and judge me by your strength.
2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
4 Behold, God is my helper: the LORD is with them that uphold my soul.
5 He shall reward evil unto my enemies: cut them off in your truth.
6 I will freely sacrifice unto you: I will praise your name, O LORD; for it is good.
7 For he has delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye has seen his desire upon my enemies.
