Another lie that produces a false accusation, which demands an investigation.
 
What does everything from Russian Collusion to the Kavanaugh hearings, now including the fake bombs, have in common? They are lies that allow the internal and foreign enemies of our traditionally peaceful culture and our leaders to be falsely accused. The real and more widespread effects come as the investigation begins and gives more opportunity to the fake news media to recklessly spawn more lies and even greater accusations. As we know, none of these are ever proven true, nor can they be because they are lies, which, as we know, are meant for nothing more than to discredit US and manipulate people into moving away toward the false accusers.
 
In the past, before the majority were awakened to these tactics, the accused generally went undefended and the dissimulation of the demagogues worked their evil will. Even now we see some in fear of opposing the lies and refusing to call them evil, which they without a doubt are.
 
As many know, the word of God deals with human animal nature, which is controlled by momentary desires and ignore or reject what is or can be understood by our brain’s capacity to see the future effects abstractly. We know these sociological causes and effects are what is known as the law of nature and nature’s God, both of which tell us of the absolutes, the causes of either peace or chaos in an individual’s life as wells as in societies. They are baselines, which are intended to be learned, and from which comes self-evident truths repeating themselves absolutely, and thereby constantly showing their validity. This should make them the foundational ideas of all civilized societies, as they were ours, as is evidenced in their mention in the Declaration of Independence.
 
God calls us to be spiritual, which is the opposite of living for the temporal beast like gratification. The beast acts on the moment, without any consideration of resulting consequences. Understanding in the abstract, seeing into the future, we make choices based on our faith in what the law and self-evident truth have taught us. We live in and by the spirit of what we know, our confidence in the validity, which carry us to the conclusion, the better end promised.
 
The small-minded beasts are confused and confounded by such ideas, blinded by an ignorance borne of never learning and thereby unable to recognize the evidence: the patterns as they appear. The spirit-minded, those using the higher functions of their God-given brain, see the unseen and realize their actions today produce whatever is manifested in the future.
 
The good news is – it’s never too late to learn.
 
Friends, there are many, the most intelligent and wise of the world, who knowing these ideas, reject them. They are the same now seeing these laws re-proven before the eyes of all the world, and not only choose to reject their reality, but also vilify and accuse those trying to correct the course on which these men have set us and world. The world under them has destroyed all truthful discourse, reversed all meaning, lost all civility, and is speeding headlong into destruction. Their answer is more short-sighted demagoguery, more lies, more accusation, more violence, more crisis creation and manipulation, and more demonization and victimization of anyone who dares tell the truth.
 
God’s answer is the same as it has always been: to send a messenger, an ambassador to bring again to light His consistent health-filled ideas. This is the correction that destroys the darkness, the shadow of death the wise of this world have brought upon her.
 
Job 33
14 For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men [humanity], in slumbering upon the bed;
16 Then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction,
17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
18 He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
19 He is chastened [corrected] also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:
20 So that his life abhors bread, and his soul dainty meat.
21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.
22 Yea, his soul draws near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
24 Then he is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom [this is the formula of Jehovah’s Salvation (Jesus) sent as His voice and mind in human flesh].

26 He shall pray unto God, and he will be favorable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man [teach him the ways] his righteousness.

28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall [from within the darkness] see the light.

Job 34
16 If now you have understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

3 Remember them that are in bonds [in the bond of God’s service], as bound [joined] with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
4 Marriage [joining together in the bond of faithfulness] is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled [God’s ideas uncorrupted by others]: but whoremongers [those who have sold themselves and made merchandise of God’s people] and adulterers [those who have been unfaithful to God] God will judge.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness [be not controlled by you momentary desires]; and be content with such things as you have: for he [the LORD] has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.
6 So that we may boldly say, The LORD is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation [referring to the topic as discussed in the above preamble].

Psalms 34

The above appears in Ephesians 5:11 and describes the reproof of the works of darkness, and tells us not to join in with them. The means of reproof it prescribes is the light. We know the darkness is the opposite of light, which (light) is understanding. It says that when the darkness is manifested by the light, it becomes light, meaning it is understood as the works counter to, ignorant of, or rejecting what a sound (enlightened) mind should, could, or would choose.
 
Ephesians 5
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things [works of darkness] comes the wrath [this corrective word] of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not you therefore partakers with them.
8 For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the LORD: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the LORD.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever does make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the LORD is.
 
The word in verse 11 above rendered “reprove” is the Greek word elegcho, meaning to confute, which the Merriam-Webster Dictionary says means “to overwhelm in argument: refute conclusively” or to “confound.” In the post before the last, we discussed in detail the consumption determined, from the Hebrew words kalah charats, meaning a full end by a decisive cut. These have the same meaning as elegcho, and are speaking of the same event. The LORD has made His argument and produced the evidence to support it, and the darkness has been manifested, understood by what He has brought into the light.
 
1 Corinthians 3
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day [light] shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
21 What will you? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
 
When Paul speaks of what we have “received” he is speaking of the true riches of heaven, that only comes as gifts from God. It is the end of what we have waited for in faith. In verse 17 above Paul speaks plainly, saying Timothy is the one sent for the cause. Timothy and Timotheus are both the from the same Greek name Timotheos, which is compounded from the two words, time and theos. When the “O,” meaning the or he, is added to theos the article indicates it means God.
 
Before going on I must again state what I believe (know) about myself, which ultimately is superseded by what the LORD says. I have the mind I am instructed to have: knowing Christ, the One and only God, is living in me.
 
Philippians 2
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.
22 But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.
 
The Greek word time is the Tim in Timotheus. In the context of verse 9 above, here is the Strong’s Greek Dictionary definition of time: Strong’s #5092: time (pronounced tee-may’) from 5099; a value, i.e. money paid, or (concretely and collectively) valuables; by analogy, esteem (especially of the highest degree), or the dignity itself:– honor, precious, price, some.
 
Peter uses the word time four times: 1 Peter 1:7, 2:7, & 3:7, and 2 Peter 1:17. In 1 Peter 1:7 it is translated “honor” in telling of the value of our trial, wherein we overcome the temptation to deny God’s presence in us and with us, which ends in our honor (time) and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. We know this is speaking of the decisive end when we realize it is the LORD speaking in and through the person He has sent to re-prove us. In the following verses, Peter speaks of this as what we do not see with our natural eyes, but realizes is the glory of God, and then in verse 9 tells us it is our receiving the end of our faith.

2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor [time] and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Friends, I tell you the truth: I am the one the LORD said He would send in His name. (Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto you [Moses], and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.] My mission is to raise His people to life and build them into His ONE Spiritual House. Peter, in 1 Peter 2:7, uses the word time, rendered “precious,” to say that this comes to those who believe He is precious.

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speaking,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby:
3 If so be you have tasted that the LORD is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious [time – honored]: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should shew forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
 
This “honor” is spoken of in Hebrews 5:4, as God ordained by His calling into service of things pertaining to Him.
 
Hebrews 5
4 And no man taketh this honor [time] unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made a high priest; but he that said unto him, You are my Son, to day have I begotten you.
6 As he says also in another place, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10 Called of God a high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing you are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
 
Friends, these passages speak of the salvation that comes to those who obey His voice, which only comes by first acknowledging it is His voice and presence. Melchisedec speaks of the LORD’s One Eternal Spirit manifested continually in men He chooses and calls to preach His ways of peace and righteousness. These are the ideas that verse 11 above says are hard to be uttered to those who haven’t reached this point of understanding, not having laid the foundation by milk, they are not ready for this strong meat.
 
Hebrews 2
1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
2 For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the LORD, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Hebrews 3
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has built the house has more honor [time] than the house.
4 For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5 And Moses truly was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;
15 While it is said, To day if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
18 And to whom swore he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
 
This is the mountain of transfiguration that only a few are taken to, as Peter describes in 2 Peter 1:17 when he tells of hearing the voice of the Father, when from Him the LORD Jesus Christ received honor [time] and glory. Take heed to what you are hearing!
 
2 Peter 1
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our LORD Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honor [time] and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [from their own imaginations] shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the LORD that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.
 
In 1 Peter 5:4 Peter speaks of the same crown and glory, which the LORD gives to all those who have been examples to His flock. It is the same crown Paul speaks of in 2 Timothy 4:8, saying, “which the LORD, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” Hebrews 2:7 says it is a crown of glory and honor [time], as it quotes from Psalms 8:5, which we know is also the origin of the LORD’s quote saying out of the mouth of babes (the LORD, our LORD) has perfected strength. We know He quoted this of those who are saying Hosanna (save now), and blessing Him as He comes in the name of the LORD. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10
 
Psalms 118
18 The LORD has chastened [corrected] me sore: but he has not given me over unto death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise you: for you have heard me, and are become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

Psalms 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

4 He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

The above is Ezekiel 32:14 speaking of same as is written in Isaiah 10:27, which says, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”
 
As we saw in the prior post, the above is speaking of when Egypt: the captivity into which our leaders have led us; and the Assyrian: the progressives who now infest all our institutions of information, teaching, and leadership; are both under the control of the beast of Babylon: confusion now become insane and delusional (now even as Satan bombing Satan). The above verses tell of the same consummation determined, the full end, that come by the anointing, or as Ezekiel says, when the deep has been made clear and the rivers of living water then run as oil. The same Hebrew word shamen is rendered “anointing” and “oil,” and the word “deep” is from shaqa’, a six-times used word translated into five different forms. It appears to be referring to the words shaqaq, meaning to be led into something by lust or greed; and saq, meaning a mesh, as in a net through which waters are strained of impurities. (Hold on to this idea for a moment.)
 
In the prior post, we saw the above events as Satan against Satan and resulting in the fall of his kingdom. We also saw the destruction it describes in the context Midian at the rock of Oreb, and as Egypt in the Sea; ambushes into which the LORD let the enemies’ delusional panic and their hate-filled lust lead them. We know in the case of Gideon and the defeat of Midian, the LORD also tried them into a small group (Judges 7:7). In Exodus 14:14 we see the LORD used the event to silence those who feared and lusted to return to Egypt.
 
Judges 7
2 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand has saved me.
3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.
4 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for you there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto you, This shall go with you, the same shall go with you; and of whomsoever I say unto you, This shall not go with you, the same shall not go.
5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that laps of the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, him shall you set by himself; likewise every one that bows down upon his knees to drink.
6 And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
7 And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
 
Exodus 14
8 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.
9 But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth [the mouth {words they ate and vomited} that held them in the captivity], before Baalzephon [the idols {ideas} hidden in their darkened understanding].
10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore have you dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
12 Is not this the word that we did tell you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom you have seen to day, you shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace [close your mouths].
 
In the previous post, we also saw Zechariah 14 speaking of the LORD appearing on the mount of Olives, which we understand as the source of the anointing. We saw the LORD stand on the mountain and rightly and decisively divide it in all directions, speaking of the word and the anointing going to His elect remnant. In verse 5 we saw them called the saints who come with the LORD God when he appears. We saw the chapter go on to tell this causing the eyes and mouths of those who have fought against Jerusalem to consume away, which is the consumption decreed. We know the eyes and mouth are speaking of these men not having seen anything and the mouths being silence by the manifestation of this truth. We also know they are fighting against the teaching that flows directly from the throne of God and the Lamb, upon which His people become founded, which produced true peace, as only He is able.
 
Zechariah 14
1 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in the midst of you.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives [the source of the anointing], which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. [the anointing dispersed in this word to all the earth]
5 And you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal [the elect remnant]: yea, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah [when Jehovah was the strength of the] king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with you. [“I and the children God has given me are for signs and wonders among His people.”]
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light [understanding] shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light [when the understanding {eye} has failed He shall send understanding].
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. [As it is!]
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba [the hills] to Rimmon south [the false ones who have exalted themselves, and standing at the right hand to resist the LORD’s work] of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel [until it is seen as the favor of God] unto the king’s winepresses [in this word of God as His corrective wrath].
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth [and their mouths shall be stopped].
Now back to the word shaqa’ where it first appears, rendered as “quenched” in Numbers 11:2 as the fire of the LORD comes unaware upon those who were dissatisfied with manna and lusted for what they ate in Egypt. From previous discussions, we know the manna is the word of God, by which man lives, and as is its meaning – which the people had no idea was the word of God.
 
Deuteronomy 8
1 All the commandments which I command you this day shall you observe to do, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers.
2 And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or no.
3 And he humbled you, and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you knew not, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD does man live.
 
When Numbers 11:2 says the fire of the LORD was “quenched,” it should be rendered, “the fire of the LORD drew these men, by what they lusted for, into His snare.”
 
Numbers 11
1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched [lured these men into His net, and they thought they were receiving what they lusted for].
3 And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.
4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic:
6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.
7 And the manna [this word of God which men are unaware] was as coriander seed, and the color thereof as the color of bdellium.
8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil [shemen – a fresh/new anointing].
9 And when the dew [the water that seems to just appear from the air {where we shall meet the LORD}] fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.
10 Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.
11 And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore have you afflicted your servant? and wherefore have I not found favor in your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people upon me?
12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that you should say unto me, Carry them in your bosom, as a nursing father bear the sucking child, unto the land which you swore unto their fathers?
13 Whence should I have flesh [“For my flesh is meat indeed”] to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.
15 And if you deal thus with me, kill me, I pray you, out of hand, if I have found favor in your sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.
16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with you.
17 And I will come down and talk with you there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon you, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you bear it not yourself alone.
18 And say you unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and you shall eat flesh: for you have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, “Who shall give us flesh to eat for it was well with us in Egypt [NOT!]:” therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and you shall eat.

21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and you have said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.

23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’s hand waxed short? you shall see now whether my word shall come to pass unto you or not.
24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.
25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spoke unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad [God’s love personified], and the name of the other Medad [whoever loves God]: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My LORD Moses, forbid them.
29 And Moses said unto him, Envy you for my sake? would God that all the LORD’s people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
30 And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.
31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails [the flesh they lusted for] from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
34 And he called the name of that place Kibroth-hattaavah [the grave their lust produced]: because there they buried the people that lusted.
35 And the people journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah unto Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth [the place where they were separated – from those who opposed the plan and purpose of God].
 
The next time shaqa’ appears it is in Job 41:1 where it is rendered, “which you let down” in telling of the hook the LORD lets down to draw out leviathan. We know leviathan is referring us to what is written in Isaiah 27:1, where we understand it speaks of information and ideas flowing as a river to the world, wherein in death lurks unseen below the surface. We have seen leviathan is rendered as “mourning” one of its six times used: in Job 3:8 in speaking of what is raised up and has produced the darkness. In Job 41 we understand it is the LORD who has drawn them out into His trap.
 
Job 3
3 Let the day perish wherein I was born [the creation of Adam], and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light [understanding] shine upon it.
5 Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
6 As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days [the light of understanding] of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
7 Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.
8 Let them curse it that curse the day [understanding], who are ready to raise up their mourning [leviathan – the rivers that carry the words and ideas of death and darkness].
9 Let the stars of the twilight [the children of God] thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:
10 Because it shut not up the doors of my mother’s womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
 
Job 41
1 Can you draw out leviathan with a hook? or his tongue [words] with a cord which you let down [shaqa’]?
 
Isaiah 27
1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent [the words and ideas of the captivity and darkness that flow as rivers into the sea: the masses]; and he shall slay the dragon [the crocodile – as death in the waters, lurking unseen below the surface] that is in the sea.
2 In that day sing you unto her, A vineyard of red wine [the wrath of God’s word accomplished].
3 I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
4 Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns [these wicked and unreasonable men] against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.
6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
7 Has he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?
8 In measure, when it shoots forth [see Matthew 24:30 thru 33], you will debate with it: he stays his rough wind in the day of the east wind [see Numbers 11:31].
9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
10 Yet the defensed city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will show them no favor.
12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat [the fruit away] off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and you shall be gathered one by one, O you children of Israel.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
 
Shaqa’ is used in Jeremiah 51:64 where it is rendered “sink” in describing the end of Babylon, thereby we know this sinking, is as a Stone cast (remember our discussions of David) into their river, as the LORD takes them in their own words.

50 You that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.
51 We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame has covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD’s house.
52 Wherefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.
53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, says the LORD.
54 A sound of a cry comes from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
55 Because the LORD has spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:
56 Because the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for the LORD God of recompenses shall surely requite.
57 And I will make drunk [stupefy] her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
58 Thus says the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon [confusion] shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people [of confusion] shall labor in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah [who will rise and rule by/as Jehovah] the son of Neriah [by the lamp/flame of Jehovah], the son of Maaseiah [who Jehovah has preserved and sheltered], when he went with Zedekiah [the righteousness of Jehovah] the king of Judah [the leaders of God people] into [confusion] Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah [who will rule as Jehovah] was a quiet prince [doesn’t complain against God].
60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.
61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When you come to Babylon, and shall see [your eyes shall be opened], and shall read all these words;
62 Then shall you say, O LORD, you have spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.
63 And it shall be, when you have made an end of reading this book, that you shall bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates [where it is found when the waters are dried up – see Revelation 16:12]:
64 And you shall say, Thus shall Babylon sink [shaqa’ – be brought into the snare – also see Revelation 18:21], and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah [Jehovah risen with us and in us].
 
The other two times shaqa’ is used are in Amos 8:8 & 9:5, both rendered as “drowned,” and speaking of being drawn into the overflowing of their own river, and drowned by it – as the flooding of the Nile.

8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwells therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned [shaqa’], as by the flood of Egypt.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

Amos 9
1 I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that flees of them shall not flee away, and he that escapes of them shall not be delivered.
2 Though they dig into Sheol, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

Ezekiel 32
1 And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt [the rulers of My people’s captivity], and say unto him, You are like a young lion of the nations, and you are as a whale in the seas [who swallow My people as your prey]: and you came forth with your rivers, and troubled [mired] the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.
3 Thus says the LORD God; I will therefore spread out my net over you with a company of many people; and they shall bring you up in my net.
4 Then will I leave you upon the land, I will cast you forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon you, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with you.
5 And I will lay your flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with your height.
6 I will also water with your blood the land wherein you swim, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of you.
7 And when I shall put you out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark [My people shall lose their understanding]; I will cover the sun [church] with a cloud, and the moon [civil government] shall not give her light.
8 All the bright lights of heaven [understanding God’s word] will I make dark over you, and set darkness upon your land, says the LORD God.
9 I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.
10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at you, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for you, when I shall brandish my sword [this word] before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall [away from God].
11 For thus says the LORD God; The sword of the king of Babylon [of the rule of confusion] shall come upon you.
12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause your multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt [the captors], and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.
13 I will destroy also all the beasts [death lurking in the waters] thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man [miring the waters] trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
14 Then will I make their waters deep [shaqa’ – make their waters a snare], and cause their rivers to run like oil [shamen – by the anointing], says the LORD God.
15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD.
16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her, even for Egypt, and for all her multitude, says the LORD God.

20 They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.

22 Asshur [the progressives] is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:
23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.

27 And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

29 There is Edom [those who have sold their birthright], her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by them that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.
30 There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians [those who have hunted My people as their prey], which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.
31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, says the LORD God.
32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the LORD God.

As we know from previous discussions, the light is understanding, the fire and flame destroys the darkness and burns up confusion, and the briers and thorns are the ignorant “experts” who infest and have overgrown the institutions of teaching and leadership. The title is Isaiah 10:17, a chapter that begins speaking “woe” to those decreeing unrighteous decrees and prescribe grievousness, turning away judgment and making God’s people those they prey upon and rob. It goes on to tell of the LORD visiting these unjust men and taking away their glory, which verse 11 then tells us is because of the idols they created and set in God’s place. It is against these men the Assyrian is sent, who is the rod of the LORD’s anger.
 
The name Assyrian, said to mean step or degree, is from the Hebrew word ‘ashar, meaning to go forward, as an advance, and which the Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon says means progress. In a pattern, it is telling of the communist movement that now calls itself progressive, which has been brought to a point where it openly reverse defines and vilifies all our national foundations and seeks to replace them.
 
In prior discussions of Revelation 17, we have seen these patterns described as the unfaithful woman (God’s people in confusion), the ten horns (the communists), both riding the beast of confusion (Babylon). We are told in verse 16 the ten horns (communists) hate the woman (church), makes war against her and causes her desolation, which is the same thing spoken of in Isaiah 10 of the Assyrian and God’s people.
In the prior post, we discussed Satan divided and against Satan, and because of it his kingdom (confusion) shall not stand. These two entities are those spoken of above, and the LORD uses the name Satan for its Hebrew meaning, which describes those who are in open revolt and resistance against God’s plan of rescue and salvation.

Isaiah 10
1Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
3 And what will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will you flee for help? and where will you leave your glory?
4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
5 O Assyrian [communists – ten horns], the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
6 I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Howbeit he means not so, neither does his heart think so [he is blind to the fact he is merely a tool, a product of nature and nature’s God]; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
8 For he says, Are not my princes altogether kings?
9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? [Verse 8 thru 11 speak of all the idol worshipping nations already overcome and destroyed – and the proud and arrogant enemy saying the stronghold of the elect remnant will fall in the same way.]
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the LORD has performed his whole work [of enlightenment] upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
13 For he says, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
14 And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathers eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
15 [Thus says the LORD] Shall the axe boast itself against him that hews therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shakes it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no [dead] wood.

24 Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, O my people that dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite you with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against you, after the manner of Egypt [the captivity and making us – the producers – their bond servants].
25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb [when the LORD removed the head that has impoverished His people]: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt [when the sea that had been divided return to one and covers them in destruction. (Do they really not see what they have walked into? Too insane with hate to realize reality.)]
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
28 He is come to Aiath [heap of ruin], he is passed to Migron [precipice – see 1 Samuel 14 – which tells of the precipice {only other mention of Migron}, when in verse 24 we are told Saul’s unrighteous decree, which led to his disobedience to the LORD’s command]; at Michmash [the hiding place] he has laid up his carriages [his armor – as with Johnathan’s hidden armor bearer]:
29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba [the hill – in the high places]; Ramah is afraid [the place where Samuel anointed David king – and the LORD’s Spirit which left Saul came upon David – 1 Samuel 16:13]; Gibeah [the hill – the highness] of Saul is fled.
30 Lift up your voice, O daughter of Gallim [those who these spring of water have come]: cause it to be heard unto Laish [as a lion’s roar], O poor Anathoth [as an answer to your prayers].
31 Madmenah [the dunghill {Gehenna} – where Beelzebub, the ruler of the dunghill, rules] is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim [of their fortified places] gather themselves to flee.
32 As yet shall he remain at Nob [in his high places] that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the LORD, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon [their glory] shall fall by a mighty one.
 
This full end is spoken of in verse 22 above as the consumption decreed, and in verse 23 as the consumption determined. Both the words decreed and determined are from the same Hebrew word, charats, meaning to bring a decisive cut, as in a right dividing of the word of God. The word rendered consumption in verse 22 is killayown; a word only used one other time where it tells of when the eye of God’s people has “failed.” It comes in Deuteronomy 28:65, as a result when God’s people do what was warned against in verse 58, saying, “If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, The LORD Your God.”

1 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in the midst of you.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives [the source of the anointing], which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. [the anointing dispersed in this word to all the earth]
5 And you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal [the elect remnant]: yea, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah [when Jehovah was the strength of the] king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with you. 12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth [and their mouths shall be stopped].
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the donkey, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

18 And if the family of Egypt [the captivity] go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, Holiness Unto The LORD; and the pots [filled with these waters] in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot [filled with His waters] in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite [an enemy as Cain, “who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.”] in the house of the LORD of hosts.
 
The word translated as “consumption” in Isaiah 10:23 is kalah, meaning the full end. It is the word first used in Genesis 18:21, rendered “altogether” in telling of when the LORD heard the grievous cry of Sodom and Gomorrah, and went down to see if it was “altogether” according to the cry.
 
Genesis 18
14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but you did laugh.
16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.
17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he has spoken of him.
20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether [kalah – is worthy of a full end] according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.
22 And the men [the two angels the LORD sent in His name for this purpose] turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Will you also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
 
We know Peter answers the question above in verse 23, saying in 2 Peter 2:9, “The LORD knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.” (He leads them out from among them.)
 
Peter tells us in the beginning of 2 Peter 2 the unjust men he is speaking of are the false prophets, and their destruction comes as the deny the LORD at His coming, and are the leaders of those who speak against this truth. Can it be any simpler to understand? The chapter ends telling of these same men receiving this knowledge and turning away from it, to their vomit and wallowing in their mire (where nothing is clear).
 
2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [will create images from their imaginations] shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the LORD that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of [this] truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The LORD knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the LORD.
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceiving while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: [by] the dumb donkey speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the [false] prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
 
The point Peter is making above starts in ending chapter 1, which tells of the men of God who spoke only when moved by God, and earlier saying their words, which we follow, are not cunningly devised fables. This is a contrast to what he then says about the false teachers among us. When he references Balaam he is speaking in this context of what the LORD told him after he saw the angel standing in the way with his sword drawn. “And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men [the gatekeepers]: but only the word that I shall speak unto you, that you shall speak.”
 
These men as dog returning to their own vomit is also referring to what Daniel tells happens in the middle of the week, that causes the sacrifice (preaching the knowledge of God) to be cut off. He tells us this brings in the overspreading of the abominations (idol worship) that causes the desolation until the consumption (kalah) determined (charats) is poured on the desolate. (see Daniel 9:27 below)

2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3 And I set my face unto the LORD God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O LORD, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from your precepts and from your judgments:
6 Neither have we hearkened unto your servants the prophets, which spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 O LORD, righteousness belongs unto you, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.
8 O LORD, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.
9 To the LORD our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him;
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed your law, even by departing, that they might not obey your voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12 And he has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand your truth.
14 Therefore has the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he does: for we obeyed not his voice.
15 And now, O LORD our God, that have brought your people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten you renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 O LORD, according to all your righteousness, I beseech you, let your anger and your fury be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of your servant, and his supplications, and cause your face to shine upon your sanctuary that is desolate, for the LORD’s sake.
18 O my God, incline your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our supplications before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies.
19 O LORD, hear; O LORD, forgive; O LORD, hearken and do; defer not, for your own sake, O my God: for your city and your people are called by your name.
20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give you skill and understanding.
23 At the beginning of your supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew you; for you are greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined [charats].
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation [kalah], and that determined [charats] shall be poured upon the desolate.

The above is Luke 12:51, and is the LORD telling of His and our baptism by holy fire, and that it is not meant to unify the world, but rather to separate His people from it. The word “division” is from the Greek word diamerismos, which is only used this one time; compounded from the words dia, meaning the channel through which it comes; and the word merizo, meaning to apportion, bestow, share, or figuratively to disunite, or differ. It means to make/show a difference.
 
The LORD is speaking of what is written in Isaiah 28:15 and its greater context.
 
Isaiah 28
15 Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus says the LORD God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
 
What we see is the LORD separating us from the covenant with death, made by those teaching God’s people lies and under falsehood hiding. As we have seen in many previous studies, this covenant with death is the confederacy and association spoken of in Isaiah 8, when God’s people refused the waters of Shiloah, meaning the advice of God that flows from His throne. They instead chose to listen to wizards (self-anointed “experts”) that peep and mutter, and became a people who looked to the dead (dead wood and dumb stones) for the ways of life, which they could never bring. We are told of this causing darkness, which we know is understanding replaced by confusion, and also resulting in a hungering for God’s word. The word comes as God speaks through Isaiah (Jah has opened/saved) as Immanuel, God with us, and in Isaiah 9 we are told it lights upon His elect, again bringing light/understanding. These are the same people who Isaiah speaks of in Isaiah 8:18 saying, “I and the children whom LORD has given me are for signs and wonders.” They are the same children he earlier calls his disciples, to who he has bound the testimony, and sealed with the law.
 
Isaiah 8
…O Immanuel.
9 Associate yourselves, O you people, and you shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all you of far countries: gird yourselves, and you shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and you shall be broken in pieces.
10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to naught; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
11 For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,
12 Say you not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear you their fear, nor be afraid.
13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
17 And I will wait upon the LORD, that hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwells in mount Zion.
19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? [Should they be looking] for the living to the dead?
20 [Or]To the law and to the testimony [?]: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light [understanding] in them.
21 And they [those who chose to remain in darkness] shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
22 And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish [without joy]; and they shall be driven to darkness.
 
Isaiah 9
2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light [understanding]: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined.
3 You [the LORD] have multiplied [from where the elect are divided] the nation, and not increased the [their] joy: they [the elect who understand] joy before you according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
4 For you have broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of [the increasing of] Midian [and their end at the rock of Oreb, when he removed the head of those who impoverished His people – see Judges 6:6 & 7:25].
5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
 
We see the above ending telling of the fire the LORD speaks of in the verses before the title, the battle to enlighten His people by the flame, which Isaiah then goes on to say is the birth of the child, again referring back to Immanuel and His children, God with us and in us.
 
Luke 12
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
51 Suppose you that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
54 And he said also to the people, When you see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway you say, There comes a shower; and so it is.
55 And when you see the south wind blow, you say, There will be heat; and it comes to pass.
56 You hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that you do not discern this time?
57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge you not what is right?
 
Isaiah 9
5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
8 The LORD sent a word into Jacob, and it has lighted upon Israel.
9 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim [God’s people in this generation] and the inhabitant of Samaria [those worshiping idols set in God’s place], that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
10 The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones [saying, we know the house is a shamble compared to its former state, so we will rebuild by the same works of our hands which destroyed it]: the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
11 Therefore the LORD shall [has] set up the adversaries of Rezin [the demagogues] against him, and join his enemies together;
12 The Syrians [the cultural icons – the self-exalted “experts”] before, and the Philistines [and those wallowing in their own mire] behind; and they shall devour [have devoured] Israel with open mouth [by their words of advice]. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
13 For the people turn not unto him that smites them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
15 The ancient and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet that teaches lies, he is the tail.
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
17 Therefore the LORD shall have no joy [see Isaiah 9:3 above] in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
18 For wickedness [those who vilify truth and this work of God] burns as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
19 Through the wrath [this truth] of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened [is the darkness understood], and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.
20 And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
21 Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
 
The chapter ends describing the same division the LORD speaks of in Luke 12:51 thru 53, where verse 53 He is quoting from Micah 7:6, a chapter, where in verse 5 are mentioned the same briers and thorns. Isaiah 9:17 tells us these are the leaders of the people causing them to err, and says those led by them are destroyed. In Micah 7:5 they are also spoken of as corrupt princes and judges, the great (famous) men of our time, who are uttering (peeping and muttering) their mischievous desires, meaning words intended to manipulated and extort.
 
These ideas all converge into one, which is judgment, more specifically of leadership lacking good and right judgment. The fire is the judgment, the trial that separates the impurities from that possessing true value. It is to separate God’s people from the world, through purification, to unify them under one incorruptible and immortal head, as one body bearing the image and likeness of their creator.
 
1 Corinthians 3
8 Now he that plants and he that waters are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are laborers together with God: you are God’s husbandry, you are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master-builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day [the light of understanding] shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
 
1 Peter 1
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification [purification] of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ [again, see Hebrews 12:24 thru 29, from the chapter that tells us the purification comes by the Father’s correction] Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which has called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy.
17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who truly was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away:
25 But the word of the LORD endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
 
As Peter in verse 7 above tells us that this trial (by fire) doesn’t pertain to earthly valuables, likewise does the LORD in Luke 12 tell us of the division (diamerismos) by fire. The word merizo is used earlier in Luke 12:13 as the LORD is asked to get involves dividing an inheritance. He responded saying, “Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?”
The word merizo appears three times in Matthew, all in chapter 12 where we are told it is Satan’s kingdom and house that are divided against themselves, and therefore will not stand. The LORD goes on to conclude the thought by saying in verse 30, “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.” This is the work the Father has sent me for, the work of the Holy Spirit these unreasonable (atopos) and wicked men stand against.
 
Matthew 12
18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spoke and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided [merizo] against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided [merizo] against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided [merizo] against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.

39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah:
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
44 Then he says, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished.

(Friends, the etymology of the word America seem to be a form of the word merizo, meaning divided, preceded but the letter a, which we know reverses the meaning. We thereby see a meaning of America describing an indivisible nation – the kingdom and house of God.)
 
As we know, Matthew 12:18 thru 21 quotes from Isaiah 42, which ends speaking of the same battle and fire mentioned above in Isaiah 9:5. It says, “Therefore he [the LORD] has poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle [this word]: and it has set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.”
 
Isaiah 42
1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

Friends, We have a baptism to be baptized with; and how are we straitened till it is accomplished! The LORD has set a course before us, which is what the title, Zechariah 9:14, speaks of, which also tells of when He has made us the arrow in His bow. The baptism is the same He prescribed for Himself, recorded in Luke 12:50, where He continues to describe it as the south wind blowing and the time when He is over us seen.
 
Again, read Luke 12 understanding its context by recognizing the associations between similar phases.
 
Luke 12
1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware you of the leaven [the corrupt ideas they have unfaithfully worked in] of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy [hupokrisis – their decisions show whose power/spirit they are under – which uncovering them is referred to in the statements following. See the description in 1 Timothy 4:1 & 2 below].
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed [apokalupto – apocalypse]; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Therefore whatsoever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear him, which after he has killed has power to cast into Gehenna [the trash heap that forever burned outside the city, wherein the worms lived among the ashes]; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.

33 Sell that you have [referring to the rich men who store up their treasure on earth – rather than use their talents for God’s kingdom – not meaning giving to corrupted churches and the thieves in them], and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approach, neither moth corrupt. [Hosea 6: 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.]
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning [with understanding, by the knowledge of God – see the fire in verse 49];

46 The LORD of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. [fear Him, the true magistrate – see verse 5 thru 9 above, and understanding you will know what to say, which saves your life.]
59 I tell you, you shall not depart thence, till you have paid the very last mite. [The unjust magistrate and judge demand you pay him all you possess. The LORD seek you not yours: “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.]
 
1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy [hupokrisis]; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry [forbbiding to be joined into a bond of faithfulness], and commanding to abstain from meats [this deeper understanding of the word of God, as it proceeds directly from His mouth], which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature [text reads ktisma – ktema not ktenos – meaning possession, or everything God provides] of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified [made pure] by the word of God and prayer.
6 If you put the brethren in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto you have attained.
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself [away from fables – the creations of men, images from their imaginations] rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness [working out your mind – into purity] is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no man despise your youth; but be you an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto yourself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.
 
What part of this is hard to understand? Do you see and hear Him yet? 1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our LORD Jesus Christ at his coming? 20 For you are our glory and joy.
 
2 Corinthians 3
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remain the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the LORD, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the LORD is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the LORD, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.
 
2 Corinthians 4
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the LORD; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the LORD Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12 So then death works in us, but life in you.
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
14 Knowing that he which raised up the LORD Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
 
In the above, Paul is referring us to Exodus 19:9 where we are told of hearing and believing, and the LORD coming in a thick cloud on the third day for this reason. He first describes the vail that covered Moses’ face, only taken away by turning to the LORD, life coming to us by hearing, and then speaking, which he says comes as the spirit of faith. “12 So then death works in us, but life in you. 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;14 Knowing that he which raised up the LORD Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.”
 
The passage in Exodus 19 tells of the LORD [Jehovah’s Salvation – JESUS] coming in the cloud on the third day, so the people would know He is speaking through Moses [a son of flesh man]. The LORD then commands Moses to tell the people not to approach Him. This is spoken of in Hebrews 12, but it then tell us, we who have been corrected, have come to a different mountain, Zion, where we are encouraged to join the LORD. It says this is by hearing the one speaking. Friends, as I have told you in the past, Hebrews is a letter of recommendation, written by Paul, to introduce and recommend the one who has been sent to speak to the current crop of those who considered themselves believers. He is the first non-Jew to become a Bishop – Timothy, the firstborn from the dead, freed for this mission. I again confess to you, the same one and only God has sent me in the name of JESUS, Jehovah’s Salvation in the flesh, as the Paraclete, and He is alive in me reconciling the world to Himself. This confession is Life from the dead, and hearing His voice raises all who listen to Him and see His glory.
 
Zechariah 9
11 As for you also, by the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
12 Turn you to the strong hold, you prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto you;
13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece [those wallowing in the mire], and made you as the sword of a mighty man.
14 And the LORD shall be seen over them [these are key words – see 1 Corinthians 15:6 – and the LORD seen above (over) the those resurrected], and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones [the Jewels] of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
 
Exodus 19
5 Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
6 And you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel.
7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD has spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.
9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
12 And you shall set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that you go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever touchs the mount shall be surely put to death:
13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mount.

16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightning, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that were in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

We are now come to the place, corrected and by it purified, where the LORD speaks through us, to us from heaven: meaning by His rightly divided word spoken in truth. This is the vail removed by our seeing, believing what we hear and speaking confession, turning to the LORD from idols, which only come through faith and grace.
 
Hebrews 12
22 But you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Psalms 46

The title is from Luke 19:40 and is the LORD speaking in response to the corrupted leaders who controlled God people. They were demanding He rebuke those who were acknowledging Him as the rightful King coming into Jerusalem. “38 Saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the LORD: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.” The religious leaders then made their demand, not addressing Him as King the way the people had, but rather as “master” using the Greek word didaskalos, meaning instructor. They saw Him as just another teacher and were unable to see what the people saw and cried out – quoting from Psalms 118:26.
 
Psalms 118 gives us the meaning of the LORD’s several following references to the stones, there telling of him as the stone the builders refused, which has become the head (stone) of the corner (the returning to and entering righteous). The idea of the builder also connects these passages with the stone that cries out of the wall, which is written in Habakkuk 2:11. We know this chapter speaks of the covetous builders, who are increasing by what isn’t theirs. These are the same thieves and robbers the LORD kicks out of the temple, which in Habakkuk 2:19 are described as dumb (not able to say anything – of value) stones that were being called to arise and teach their same old corrupted ideas.
The LORD is the same stone (‘eben – building stone) spoken of in Isaiah 28:16, a chapter we know speaks of the His teaching knowledge, precept upon precept, line upon line, building those who received Him as the Source, the Foundation Stone. We are also there told this teaching is the rest and refreshing of God’s people, which those in control refused because they had instead made a covenant with death, and were in agreement with the dead. Verse 11 identifies these builders as those unable to understand the word they are hearing, as the dumb stones spoken of in Habakkuk, only able to speak (and hear) the language (false doctrines) that wasn’t the LORD’s language.
 
These are the drunkards of Ephraim, intoxicated and stupefied by ignorance, and crowned in their own pride. In Isaiah 28:7, as in Habakkuk 2:5, we are told they are those who transgress with wine, which is from the Hebrew word yayin, the origin of the word mire: the waters (the word of God) they have muddied and removed its clarity. Habakkuk 2:5 also tells us it is the pride (as in Isaiah 28:1 & 3) of these men who have enlarged their desire as Sheol, and made this as death: never satisfied no matter how many it takes. It is saying the end they seek is where all humanity is dead, to thwart God’s plan of rescue and salvation.
 
The end these men seek is spoken of in Zechariah 9:5 as the expectation of which they shall be ashamed, meaning what they expected ends in disappointment. What disappoints them is as the longshot arrow, and the stone, discussed in several previous posts. We also saw stones spoken of in Zechariah 9:16 as the LORD flock, the stones of His crown and the same Jewels described in Malachi 3:17. In the prior post and many others before it, we saw this stone mentioned in the blessing of Joseph (the father of Ephraim, and as we know, also David) which appears in Genesis 49 when Jacob blesses all His children telling them of what shall befall them in the last days. There it tells of the coming Shepherd, The Stone of Israel, whose arm and bow have been strengthened by God, and who is blessed by the ALMIGHTY with the blessings of heaven (His rightly divided word) and the deep (the things that lie unseen below the surface), which nourish and bring new life.
 
Genesis 49
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall [see Psalms 18:29 below]:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the Stone of Israel [the Stone now waiting in the sling of God’s people]:)
25 Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors [see Hebrews 11:40 and 12:1 & 2] unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown [as Jewels, and as a great cloud of witness] of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

Habakkuk 2

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry [mahahh – it is questioned, and thereby delayed], wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry [‘achar – it will come at the appointed time].
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up [‘aphal – swelled with pride] is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his [own] faith.
5 Yea also, because he transgresses by wine, he is a proud man, neither keeps at home [there is no rest in his house], who enlarges his desire as Sheol, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathers unto him all nations, and heaps unto him all people [his ways have led to the death of all except the very elect remnant]:
6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increases [by] that which is not his! how long? and to him that lades himself with thick clay [‘abtiyt – woe to him who abounds by money others pledge. Do you TV preachers and other thieves hear me yet? Thus says the LORD, “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, Wherein have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings.”]!
7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite you, and awake that shall vex you, and you shall be for booties unto them?
8 Because you have spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil you; because of men’s blood [because of the life you have drained from those you mislead with your own ideas], and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
9 Woe to him that covets [lusts for money] an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
10 You have consulted shame to your house by cutting off many people, and have sinned against your soul [As did Esau, sold your soul for mere morsels].
11 For the stone [‘eben] shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
12 Woe to him that builds a town with blood [by draining life], and establishes a city by iniquity [‘evel – evil and wickedness – vilifying truth and justice – as in attacking this truth]!
13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor in the very fire [which are caused by these men’s ways and ideas – “And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of Gehenna.”], and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity [working for what has no real value]?
14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
15 Woe unto him that gives his neighbor drink, that puts your bottle to him, and makes him drunken also, that you may look on their nakedness!
16 You are filled with shame [an unexpected end] for glory: drink you also, and let your foreskin [your intentions – as what your flesh has lusted for] be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto you, and shameful spewing [what comes from your mouth shall be what causes your expected end to not come] shall be on your glory.
17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover you, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
18 What profits the graven image [the thing these men have made from their imaginations, and worship in the place of God] that the maker thereof has graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts therein, to make dumb idols [voiceless idols]?

Isaiah 28
2 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim [the leaders of God’s people in this generation, in the last days of the age of ignorance and confusion], whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head [the whole head is corrupt, even to the neck] of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
2 Behold, the LORD has a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looks upon it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.
5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue [with words they cannot comprehend – only because they aren’t according to the images they have created from their own imaginations] will he speak to this people.

18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim [2 Samuel 5 … the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines {those wallowing in the mire} into your hand.20 And David came to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD has broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach {perazim} of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baal-perazim. 21 And there they left their images {the idols of Baal}, and David and his men burned them.], he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon [when “the LORD cast down great stones {‘eben} from heaven upon them unto Azekah {grub – plow under}, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones {God’s judgment} than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.”], that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
22 Now therefore be you not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the LORD God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
23 Give you ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
24 Does the plowman plow all day to sow? does he open and break the clods of his ground?
25 When he has made plain the face thereof, does he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
26 For his God does instruct him to discretion, and does teach him.
27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
28 Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
29 This also comes forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
 
We know Isaiah 29 goes on to tell of Ariel, the city where David dwelt, which, as is the meaning of Ariel, speaks of David’s strength. We are told this city, David’s strength, has been taken and is held by enemies, to which the LORD lays siege to rescue and save those held there without strength. Ariel literally means lion of God, and speaks here in the context of His roar, verse 4 describing when these captors’ and captives’ voice is low out of the dust, to where men return in death, and from where man was and is created. It is leading us to hear His roar and return, when the captives awaken from their deep sleep, themselves roaring as He did.
 
Isaiah 29

To the Overseer, `On the Gittith.’ A Psalm of David.
 
The title comes from words written between Psalms 7 and 8 and are meant as a transitional idea connecting the two. There is some argument between “experts” as to which Psalms they belong, and therefore many Bible publishers totally exclude them. The above is their rendering as it appears in the Young’s Literal Translation. The word Gittith means wine press, most often associated with LORD’s wrath, which we understand comes by His spoken word. We know His voice comes through men of His choosing, who He prepares and inspires to speak according to His will, to accomplish His plan and purpose: rescue and salvation.
 
The title tells of such a man speaking with such a voice witnessing to/of the Overseer, who is then mentioned as “our LORD” in the beginning and ending Psalms 8. The Hebrew name used is ‘adown (or Adonim), meaning God as the ruler of His people. Understanding this we realize the Psalm is acknowledging the LORD is Jehovah orchestrating His plan, which is for His voice to be heard and accepted as His voice.
 
The word “Overseer” is the Hebrew word natsach, which is in other translations is rendered “Chief Musician.”
 
Here is the full Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary definition, which as we know includes the translated forms: Strong’s #5329: natsach (pronounced naw-tsakh’) a primitive root; properly, to glitter from afar, i.e. to be eminent (as a superintendent, especially of the Temple services and its music); also (as denominative from 5331), to be permanent:–excel, chief musician (singer), oversee(-r), set forward.
The above is best understood in conjunction with the prior post, which also describes God’s people opening their mouths in a confession of the His work, which demonstrates their understanding of His character as seen in His plan. This is what we see in the connected ending and beginning of these two Psalms, and which is the context of the entirety.
 
Psalms 7
17 I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

Psalms 8
1 O LORD [Jehovah], our LORD [our Adonim], how excellent is your name [Your identity seen in Your character, person, and attributes] in all the earth! who have set your glory [presence] above the heavens.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings have you ordained strength because of your enemies, that you might still [shabath, interrupt and stop the word and work of; so His word and work can be heard and seen – same as Sabbath] the enemy and the avenger.
 
We know the LORD quotes verse 2 above in Matthew 21:16, when He enters Jerusalem and the people cry out Hosanna, which in Hebrew means – save now. It is more specifically referring to David’s words [verses 44 thru 47 below] at His encounter with Goliath, which tells us it was his confession that defeated Goliath; the LORD guiding the faith-filled longshot he took.

33 And Saul said to David, You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
34 And David said unto Saul, Your servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.
36 Your servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.
37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with you.

52 And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until you come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron [transplantation – as in one group plucked out and another replacing it – referred to in Zechariah 9:7 and the founders of New Jerusalem]. And the wounded of the Philistines [those wallowing in the mire] fell down by the way to Shaaraim [the second entering into God’s kingdom], even unto Gath [the wine press], and unto Ekron [referring to now – the transplantation into life in the promised land, displacing the dead].

54 And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armor in his tent.

The point of the LORD quoting Psalms 8:2 in Matthew 21:16 is to show through the mouths of babes, who in His kingdom cry out (as the stones in His crown) at His command, and in doing so answer the question Saul is asking in the last verse above. The answer is Jesus (Jehovah’s Salvation in the flesh), the son of David, the Son of Jesse that Ephrathite of (Ephraimite living in) Bethlehemjudah, the son of Joseph, who was separated from and unknown to His brothers.
 
Zechariah 9
3 And Tyrus [the false rock] did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
4 Behold, the LORD will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea [by the masses]; and she shall be devoured with fire.
5 Ashkelon [those tried in the fires] shall see it, and fear; Gaza [the powerful] also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron [as Saul shall be replaced]; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza [as did Saul, lose his power], and Ashkelon [the place of this trial – confusion] shall not be inhabited.
6 And the illegitimate children shall dwell in Ashdod [without power], and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines [those who by choice remain in their own mire they have stirred].
7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth [as when David fought the lion and the bear]: but he that remains, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite [will be as those cast out of Jebus so God’s people could enter and become Jerusalem – taught and founded on God ways of peace].
8 And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passes by, and because of him that returns: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King comes unto you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt the foal of a donkey [those released from those who have ruled over them with oppression – referring to Genesis 49:7 thru 12, and 22 thru 26]
10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
11 As for you also, by the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
12 Turn you to the strong hold, you prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto you;

Psalms 7 is preceded by other often unprinted words, which first describe this as when God’s people roared aloud, in response to the words of Cush, which we know are words of darkness.
 
Friends, you have a part in this. Do not hold the stone in the sling. Let it fly in faith knowing the LORD will guide it.
 
Proverbs 26
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like unto him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
6 He that sends a message by the hand of a fool cuts off the feet, and drinks damage.
7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
8 As he that binds a stone in a sling, so is he that gives honor to a fool.
9 As a thorn goes up [unaware] into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouths of fools.
10 The great God that formed all things both rewards the fool, and rewards transgressors.

Psalms 8

The title is Matthew 7:14 and tells of our entry into the kingdom of God, which is for the few who find it life. The entry is said to be “strait,” from the Greek word stenos, which we have in the past studied in detail, meaning to be narrow by obstacles standing close about. It only appears three times; twice in Matthew 7, verse 13 & 14, and once in Luke 13:24 quoting the LORD describing the same entering.
 
Remember, we are talking about life and death, death as the current condition and life the change that occurs for those who can navigate the obstacles and enter. All we need do to understand this is read the abundance of other scriptures that speak about our passing from death to life, and therein we find a fuller description of the obstacles we must overcome.
 
The first of these appears in Deuteronomy 30, where the LORD set before us (described it to us and we understood) life and death. Death came when we stopped listening to (teaching and following) His ways, and life again whenever and to whoever saw (understood this cause of) death and returned to Him. In verse 6 the LORD describes the return as when He will circumcise our heart, and the hearts of our children, to love the LORD our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, so we may live. We know the heart is telling of the foundation of our reasoning mind and the circumcision is removing thinking centered in fleshly lusts, replacing it with right (Spiritual) rationale.
 
We know these are ideas later spoken of in Jeremiah 31 where it is written as, “33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
 
We know Jeremiah 31 earlier tells of this as when Ephraim hears and returns to the LORD, and is speaking of God’s people in this generation. We know the name means second (double) blessing (fruit) and here describes the return of life, the return meaning the second life as the blessing. Life is the blessing spoken of in Deuteronomy 30:1, wherein death is described as the curse – which was brought on by Adam listening to the advice of another, who we know was the serpent in the garden, the deceiver among us in the sanctuary, as the obstacle standing to resist the LORD.
 
Jeremiah 31
16 Thus saith the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: for your work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
17 And there is hope in your end, saith the LORD, that your children shall come again to their own border.
18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; You have chastised [corrected] me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn you me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD my God.
19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spoke against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, says the LORD.
21 Set you up waymarks, make you high heaps: set your heart toward the highway, even the way which you went: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.
22 How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the LORD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
 
Deuteronomy 30
1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon you, the blessing and the curse [when the ways of life and death are manifested before your eyes], which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD your God has driven you,
2 And shall return unto the LORD your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;
3 That then the LORD your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, whither the LORD your God has scattered you.
4 If any of yours be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD your God gather you, and from thence will he fetch you:
5 And the LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.
6 And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
7 And the LORD your God will put all these curses upon your enemies, and on them that hate you, which persecuted you.
8 And you shall return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command you this day.

15 See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 In that I command you this day to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that you may live and multiply: and the LORD your God shall bless you in the land whither you go to possess it.
17 But if your heart turn away, so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I denounce unto you this day, that you shall surely perish, and that you shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither you pass over Jordan [over death into life] to go to possess it.
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live:
20 That you may love the LORD your God, and that you may obey his voice, and that you may cleave unto him: for he is your life, and the length of your days: that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
 
In this we see the way into life is by listening to the LORD, and the obstacles and death are the advice of the deceivers among us. We have in previous posts, many times seen the advice of the deceiver spoken of as the death that lurks in the water, as if a dragon (crocodile) hidden below the surface, or a serpent hidden in the grass or a tree. We know the LORD tells us many times that hearing His word is life, and as I now say again in His name, whoever believes He has come in the flesh (my flesh) as a quickening Spirit, has passed over from death into life. This is the life-producing confession that must be made, as Paul describes in Romans 10:9 just after he has quoted from Deuteronomy 30. The word of life is in our mouths. And the obstacles are the antichrists that deny the LORD has come in the flesh, and deny Him because they cannot hear His words because they have the same beam in their ear as they have in their eye.
 
1 Corinthians 15

3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them [the obstacles]: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them.
6 We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.
8 He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
 
Friends, I tell you plainly of the antichrists as the obstacles, and their mark is the mark of Cain. They are those who hate us without a cause and those who have killed us throughout history, only because the light that is in us offends their darkness, as is described above in 1 John 3:12 thru 16 above. This is the mark of the wicked one: those Paul describes in 2 Thessalonians 2 & 3, those sitting in the seats of God. They are the spiritually wicked in high places of church and popular culture, the rulers of the darkness of this world, which he describes in Ephesians 6:12. In both of these passages, Paul says these are the obstacles standing in the way of this Gospel having free course, so it will be glorified, meaning so it will be seen as the word of God, as it is in truth. This is so it (He) will do as only it (He) has the power (dunamis) to accomplish, which is to raise the dead to life.

10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. [His presence and Salvation are manifested in our suffering for the sake of others.]
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the LORD that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
 
2 Thessalonians 2
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the LORD shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the LORD, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our LORD Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our LORD Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

2 Thessalonians 3
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word [this word] of the LORD may have free course, and be glorified [seen as the LORD’s presence], even as it is with you [see 1 Thessalonians 2:13]:
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable [men who will not listen to right reason – atopos – who have taken a position as an obstacle] and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3 But the LORD is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.
4 And we have confidence in the LORD touching you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the LORD direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the LORD, and in the power of his might.

Psalms 49
1 Hear this, all you people; give ear, all you inhabitants of the world:

3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
4 I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
5 Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

The above is 1 Kings 22:23, and tells of when Ahab was warned not to go to battle but the false prophets, as part of the plan, were overtaken by a strong delusion and advised otherwise (see 2 Thessalonians 2:8 thru 12). They told him to go and he did, in disguise, and was struck and killed by a longshot arrow. The story goes on to describe the dogs coming and licking up His blood, as the LORD had said they would.
 
So, there is an election coming, which some say is a longshot. Those saying it are those who’ve trusted in lies as the weapon of war, who have put on their same deceptions, which have now turned into rage driven by delusion disguised in a mob. In this state of self-induced insanity, they reject and refuse the reality foretold by those who aren’t liars for a living. They seemingly don’t realize the way the winds are blowing (with the arrow’s flight) and have been for years. Liars will lie, and those who put their trust in them no longer reach the end they expect, because their lies, their spells of manipulation, have been stripped of their (only) power to deceive.
 
In this context, Jeremiah 29:21 & 22 describes Ahab as the son of Kolaiah, meaning the voice of Jehovah. It says he is delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, which we know means he is delivered into the hand of the confusion that now rules over all the world. As we know, Ahab is the originator of Baal worship in the place of God, in the sequence of degeneration replacing the idols called God with worshipping what was entirely void of even His name. Jeremiah says Ahab is born in response to the voice of the LORD, claiming he is His voice, to oppose the LORD by speaking lies in His name. It says the confusion of these false prophets is what destroys them as they believe and follow their own lies.
 
Jeremiah 29
4 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;
5 Build you houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
6 Take you wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that you may be increased there, and not diminished.
7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall you have peace.
8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.
9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, says the LORD.
10 For thus says the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall you call upon me, and you shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.
14 And I will be found of you, says the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, says the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
15 Because you have said, The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon;
16 Know that thus says the LORD of the king that sits upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwells in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;
17 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
18 And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:
19 Because they have not hearkened to my words, says the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but you would not hear, says the LORD.
20 Hear you therefore the word of the LORD, all you of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem [the peace we were taught by God, and which became our foundation] to Babylon [into being ruled by confusion]:
21 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar [the lies of the false prophets that have caused the desolation of God’s people, their cities, and nation] king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;
22 And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;
23 Because they have committed villainy in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives [have been unfaithful and misleading – see 2 Timothy 3:6], and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, says the LORD.
 
2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes [from the Hebrew word yanah, meaning oppress] and Jambres [Thayer’s Greek Lexicon says his name means foamy healer – like the false preachers and their fake healing. It appears to be from a Hebrew word meaning right hand, as we’ve seen in Zechariah 3:1 telling of where Satan stands to resist the cleansing of the priesthood – the enemy within] withstood Moses [these are the priest who imitated Aaron’s miracles to resist God’s will], so do these [deceivers] also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate [liars without any proof] concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
10 But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the LORD delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue you in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;
15 And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
 
When Paul tells Timothy these imposters will have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, he is speaking of the imitators of the Genuine. The power they deny is the same they are attempting to imitate by deception. The word there rendered “power” is dunamis, meaning the energy, as miraculous power. The word is first used in Matthew 6:13 in the last sentence of the LORD’s prayer, which says the kingdom, power (dunamis), and glory are the Father’s. Just before, we are told the Father doesn’t use His power to lead us into temptation, but to deliver us from evil; both speaking of the glory of His presence that comes from a mind that has entered His kingdom and is under His rule. “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” It is the power that produces the glory of His presence.
 
The next time dunamis is used it is in telling of the imitators, who think they are performing the works of God, but haven’t produced the glory that would verify and validate them as authentic. It comes in Matthew 7, which begins by telling of those who are unable to see, because there is a great beam in their eye, who because of this are judging God’s people with inequity, and based on their own creations (false doctrines). God’s kingdom is where truth, equity, and justice rule, without respect of person; and these men’s corrupted judgment shows that they have not entered His kingdom. This is the entry then spoken of by the LORD as Matthew 7 continues. If they haven’t entered God’s kingdom, wherein dwells righteous (see 2 Peter 3:13), they have no power, and even deny it when He comes (see 2 Peter 2:1 & 2) in truth.
 
The chapter next speaks of these men telling of the mighty works (dunamis) they have done in the LORD’s name, and He says He never knew them. This is the same idea seen in 2 Timothy 2, when Paul speaks of the glory that appears, which is the salvation that comes by seeing the LORD’s glory in those preaching His gospel, which power belongs to the Father, as we see in the LORD’s prayer. “For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself.”
 
2 Timothy 2
1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that labors must be first partaker of the fruits [the glory is first seen in the preacher].
7 Consider what I say; and the LORD give you understanding in all things.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him [if the old man is removed, baptized into the LORD’s death by Christ preaching to us, the new man will live by Christ rising in us, and then we see Him as if face to face in a mirror]:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him [in those preaching Him], he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the LORD that they strive not about words to no profit [their own words that have no power], but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus [names meaning those who are not allowing God’s people to join with the LORD; while calling it an act of love – which are themselves imitations of the Genuine];
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The LORD knows them that are his. And, let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity [which is the point of Matthew 7].
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. [1 Corinthians 11: 19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved [of God] may be made manifest among you.]
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the LORD out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife [they are asked by those who are not seeking truth, but rather attempting to start an argument they wish to continue for ever].
24 And the servant of the LORD must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
 
Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that you be not judged [don’t be as the ignorant and unlearned; claiming this statement stands alone, and thereby subject themselves to what it warns of. The context is clearly stated here after].
2 For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why behold you the mote that is in your brother’s eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye?
4 Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull out the mote out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother’s eye [this sentence is the point].
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast you your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you [see 2 Timothy 2:23 above – avoid the snare of the devil and his foolish questions].
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you [see James 4:3 below]:
8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12 Therefore all things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.
21 Not every one that says unto me, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works [dunamis]?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
 
Dunamis is the word used in 1 Corinthians 15; first in verse 24 to tells of when the end comes, which is when the LORD has put down all of these earthly imitators. It is then used in verse 43 to describe the resurrection that comes by this power, as the LORD’s quickening Spirit raises us to life: away from corruption and into immortality.
 
1 Corinthians 15
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24 Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power [dunamis].
25 For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he has put all things under his feet. But when he says all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead [baptized into the LORD’s death – see 2 Timothy 2:11], if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead [into His death]?
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our LORD, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantages it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications [evil teaching ] corrupt good manners [good patterns and habits].
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 You fool, that which you sow is not quickened, except it die:
37 And that which you sow you sow not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength [dunamis] of sin is the [letter of the] law.
57 But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our LORD Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the LORD.
 
2 Corinthians 3
1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.
7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remains is glorious.
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the LORD [when He is seen as the one speaking in us], the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the LORD is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the LORD, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.
 
2 Corinthians 4
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the LORD; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power [dunamis] may be of God, and not of us.
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the LORD Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12 So then death works in us, but life in you.
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
14 Knowing that he which raised up the LORD Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
 
James 4
1 From whence come wars and fighting among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 You lust, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not.
3 You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts.
4 You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do you think that the scripture say in vain, The spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy?
6 But he gives more grace. Wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the LORD, and he shall lift you up.
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you that judges another?
13 Go to now, you that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.
15 For that you ought to say, If the LORD will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
16 But now you rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17 Therefore to him that knows to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
 
James 5
1 Go to now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the LORD of Sabaoth [hosts – the armies of heaven].
5 You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 You have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you [the corrupt judgment spoken of in the prior chapter].
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the LORD. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be you also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the LORD draws near.
9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the LORD, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the LORD; that the LORD is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest you fall into condemnation.
13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
17 Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
