Continuing: in the previous post, Trump’s name was included in brackets after Zerubbabel as it appeared in Zechariah 4. Of course, that caused the haters, the people whose animus is forced to the surface by any positive mention of his name, to do as they instinctively are bound, to attack and further demonize him and any who dare support him. They are those whose standard of judgment proceeds from themselves, ever-changing based on the person, and as Cain, are “of that wicked one [Satan], and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.”
 
Friends, we understand that Trump is not Zerubbabel, but rather his person and actions are those which depict the type, (just as his attackers show the character traits of Cain). It should be our goal to become and be seen as the people who we are told of as examples: “not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The way of this world age, injustice based on erroneous interpretation, entrapment by, and unequal application of the law, are the perverted judgement we saw spoken of in Romans 12, and discussed in the prior post. There we also saw God’s right (righteous) judgment, which is meant to produce repentance and correction, and is no respecter of person.
 
In many previous discussions, we have seen the way to civilized societies is mutual security that comes from men governing by equal and limited use of the law. The foundation of such governments, if it wishes to long last, is in the conscience of the people governed, which itself generally must have been formed from the same teaching; the transformation mentioned above. This we know, is the will of God for all people, to live in peace and security that only comes in the way of Jerusalem.
 
Suffer me for a moment while I repeat the meaning of Jerusalem, which foretells of this idea, and the house built by Zerubbabel (name meaning he is born in Babylon – quickened out from under the rule of confusion). Jerusalem is from the two Hebrew words, yarah and shalam. Yarah means to flow as water, and by implication to teach or lay a foundation, and is speaking of these as what comes directly from God to us as His pure word. They are the foundation that produces shalam, meaning to be safe, in mind, body and estate. It figuratively means to become complete, by implication meaning to be friendly, and by extension to reciprocate (mutual respect by an equal application).
 
Jerusalem itself was built on the ruin of the city of Salem before it, which represents peace that could not last, defiled because it was not founded on God’s teaching. This is a like pattern of Jerusalem, whose original teaching was perverted by men, and by this it became desolate. Now, the LORD is sending and restoring his undefiled word, flowing from Him to and through His children, and producing New Jerusalem founded on what is now un-corruptible by the direct connection.
 
This is the context of Hebrew 12, speaking to those who have been correct in this way, and saying:
 
22 But you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels [messengers],
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
 
Friends, as discussed in prior posts, as certainly as this is a time of “just men made perfect,” it is undoubtedly a time when the lawless are manifested before our eyes: those who, knowing the law, use it for injustice and to victimize the innocent who are law abiding. We know, because we have seen it in the law of nature and the law of nature’s God, the only option is to separate these men from those who do choose to be civilized. The reason for this just separation, as we know, is these wicked and unreasonable men refuse to be correct, and by choice choose lawlessness, and agitate and incite those they first cultivated into ignorance by teaching garbage instead of God’s ways. These men separate themselves into the darkness by choice, because their deeds are evil, and they hate the light (they hate this understanding and choose confusion’s darkness). These are those chained to darkness, and who refuse even now to be pulled out (harpazo) from the fires their ways have created.

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Friends, it is time to exercise the discernment the LORD has given us by His word. Try the spirits in men. If they confess the LORD has now come in our flesh, speaking good tidings of salvation, they are of God. The others are antichrists, and have come as you have heard they would. We have overcome their unbelief, and by faith we have entered God’s kingdom, the kingdom of heaven, heavenly Jerusalem.
 
1 John 4
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

As we know, the “love” spoken of above is agape, the same word rendered “charity” in Jude 1:12 above, speaking there of those who are destroying the righteous, cursing them for the reward they recieve from our enemies, and are as spots in our feast of charity. We know this “charity” and “love” are to give this word of life to those who need it, to build the house of God, as we are told will Zerubbabel, who is merely a pattern of Christ in us building a just civil government. This is the same pattern we see in the Zechariah 3 where the priesthood is restored; there spoken of as Joshua (Jesus) cleansed, as Satan stands at his right hand to resist the angel of the LORD who is speaking the ways of purification.
 
Zechariah 3
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments [after holy garments put on after the sacrifice and washing with water – the word – see Exodus 29:1 thru 9]. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
6 And the angel of the LORD protested [repeated] unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your fellows that sit before you: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, shall you call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.
 
Zechariah 4
1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
2 And said unto me, What see you? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 So I answered and spoke to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my LORD?
5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my LORD.
6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
7 Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shouting, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me unto you.
10 For who has despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven [God’s spirit in all His people]; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my LORD.
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth. [Joshua as the body of Christ (Jesus), and Zerubbabel the civil government of His people, both raised up to finish the house. These are the sun, moon, and stars, who bowed to Joseph as they must and will bow to Christ’s headship, so the light of just government will shine and be reflected on the earth.
 
Hebrews 3
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has builds the house has more honor than the house.
4 For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5 And Moses truly was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

11 So I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;
15 While it is said, To day if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
18 And to whom swore he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
 
Hebrews 4
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limits [horizo – has set a limit for this rising] a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
 
This “help” is what the writer later speaks of in Hebrews 13, when we carry out this witness (charity freely giving the gospel) without fear. The fear is of the reproach of the unbelievers, who deny Christ has come in our flesh, who will most certainly crucify us attempting to silence God’s message which will save the world. When Hebrew 13 begins by saying “Let brotherly love (philadelphia) continue” it is speaking of the same thing Peter writes of in 2 Peter 1:7 when he speaks brotherly kindness (philadelphia) that is followed by “charity.” These are the final steps showing we have been transformed into having the same knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ. He in us is what allows us to overcome our fear, when we in this way have been separated from the unbelievers, and have joined ourselves to God in Christ.
 
2 Peter 1
1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our LORD,
3 According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness [philadelphia]; and to brotherly kindness [philadelphia] charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall:
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth.
 
Hebrews 13
1 Let brotherly love [philadelpia] continue.
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels [God’s messengers] unawares.
3 Remember them that are in bonds [in the prison of the unbelieves], as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
4 Marriage [being joined with others in the body] is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled [if their doctrine is undefiled]: but whoremongers [those who have sold themselves to the world] and adulterers [and the unfaithful] God will judge.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness [without greed and a lust for gain – as motivates the false prophets and false teachers]; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.
6 So that we may boldly say, The LORD is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me [when we go to meet Him outside the camp, bearing the reproach of preaching His word].
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Continuing: The word rendered “world” is the Greek word aion: which is speaking of this age we are in: when all men put their trust in material and physical wealth and power, and cultivate a lust for the same. These are the root of all ignorance and evil: the lies and deceptions of fake news and false prophets; the meanings of which are reversed into calling them wisdom and good.
 
Isaiah 5 speaks of an age that is the same, when His people have gone into captivity because there is no knowledge or understanding.

13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished [in the famine of not hearing the word of God – see Amos 8:11], and their multitude dried up with thirst [because there are no waters flowing to them from heaven].
14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged herself, and [as a whale consuming the prey has] opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoices, shall descend into it.
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.

26 And he will lift up an ensign [nec – where they will see the testimony as if a fiery serpent on a cross] to the nations from far, and will hiss [see Zechariah 10:8 and its surround passage for context and identifying these as those the LORD redeems] unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28 Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
29 Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.
30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea [of the masses]: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.
 
The title speaks of those who leave the ways of the age and are transformed by the renewing of their minds. It says by doing this we become able to prove (dokimazo – try and discern) what is and isn’t the mind of God. As Romans 12 continues we are told what is the “good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
 
Romans 12
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it with simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shews mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the LORD;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the LORD [see Deuteronomy 32:35 below].
20 Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink [see Isaiah 5:13 above ands Proverbs 25:21 & 22 below] for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
 
This is the day of the LORD, and His vengeance and wrath are by a better plan [seee Proverbs 20:18 & 24:6 thru 8]: giving greater understanding and wisdom (intelligence), and the demonstration of spiritual strength that surpasses all the power and might of this world age. “This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel [Trump], saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. 7 Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [Trump] thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. 8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 9 The hands of Zerubbabel [Trump] have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts [the armies of heaven] has sent me unto you.” Zechariah 4
 
Deuteronomy 32
29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
35 To me belongs vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
43 Rejoice, O you nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
 
Romans 2 speaks of the judgment of men, who condemn and destroy the lives of those doing things they themselves are equally guilty of. In doing they condemn themselves to be judged by the same judgment. The judgment of God is meant to bring men to repentance, and away from self-destruction that comes from perverted judgment [unequally administering the law based on the person].
 
Romans 2
1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whosoever you are that judges: for wherein you judges another, you condemn yourself; for you that judges do the same things.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3 And think you this, O man, that judges them which do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God?
4 Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
5 But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first [those who know God], and also to the Gentile [those who don’t know Him]:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
 
In Luke 18:29 & 30 the LORD speaks of this time, and of those who have given up all these ways (injustice and inequity – poor judgment) of this world age for the kingdom of God, and for it receive greater (true) riches in this world, and in the one to come eternal life (the kingdom of God, wherein dwells righteousness – see 2 Peter 3:13).
 
Luke 18
1 And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary [Trump].
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the LORD said, Hear what the unjust judge said.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man comes [in/with this judgment], shall he find faith on the earth [will they believe his words are God’s judgment and vengeance]?
9 And he spoke this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous [which is why they refuse to believe], and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee [those who rule over the breach] stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you, that I am not as other men are, extortionist, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican [Trump].
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself [pride and self-righteousness] shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Truly I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child [giving up all the ways they know and trust in, so their mind can be renewed – born again] shall in no wise enter therein.
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why call you me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and your mother.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lack you one thing: sell all that you have [which you trust in], and distribute unto the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. [“Rich” is from the word plousios, deriving from pletho – meaning the man is full – and thinks he needs nothing else.]
26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 And he said, The things which are impossible [adunatos – without power to accomplish] with men are possible [dunatos – in the power] with God [by trusting in Him first and foremost].
28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed you.
29 And he said unto them, Truly I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho [where the wall fell, after much long-suffering and silence, when men opened their mouths – as is in pattern described here following], a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passes by [as those in Jericho were unable to see who was walking, because of the wall, only hearing the commotion].
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, You son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood [as did Joshua (Jesus)], and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What will you that I shall do unto you? And he said, LORD, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive your sight: your faith has saved you.
43 And immediately [the wall fell, and] he received his sight [and saw Joshua/Jesus], and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
 
Ezekiel 13
3 Thus says the LORD God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing [are blind]!
4 O Israel, your prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
5 You have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD says: and the LORD has not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
7 Have you not seen a vain vision, and have you not spoken a lying divination, whereas you say, The LORD said it; albeit I have not spoken?
8 Therefore thus says the LORD God; Because you have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, says the LORD God.
9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and you shall know that I am the LORD God.
10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith you have daubed it?
13 Therefore thus says the LORD God; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it. [all these are the word of my mouth spoken by the LORD]
14 So will I break down the wall that you have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and you shall know that I am the LORD.
15 Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
16 To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, says the LORD God.
17 Likewise, you son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy you against them,
18 And say, Thus says the LORD God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes [to cover the arm of the LORD so men cannot see His work], and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature [to cover the LORD’s face so He is not seen] to hunt souls [with their open mouths, as the whale consuming the prey]! Will you hunt the souls of my people, and will you save the souls alive that come unto you?
19 And will you pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
20 Wherefore thus says the LORD God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith you there hunt the souls to make them fly [the lie of the rapture], and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that you hunt to make them fly.
21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and you shall know that I am the LORD.
22 Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
23 Therefore you shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and you shall know that I am the LORD.
 
These men, the false prophets who mislead God’s people, and the churches that are as an unfaithful woman, are those who teach their own ways. They hide the LORD from His people and refuse to report His arm that has been made bare, manifested before our eyes. These people don’t know they are naked and poor, and thinking they are rich they have no hunger or thirst for the LORD.
 
Luke 18 tells of the LORD being willing to be consumed by the whale’s mouth, into the belly of the earth [see Jonah 2]. He reveals this to His disciples after he told them to follow Him by giving up their material world and the unjust ways of the age. This is the course set before us, which we must run, giving up what is keeping us from being witnesses of God.
 
Hebrews 12
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Revelation 3
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

16 So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.
17 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye-salve, that you may see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.
 
Proverbs 25
1 These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.
3 The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
6 Put not forth yourself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:
7 For better it is that it be said unto you, Come up hither; than that you should be put lower in the presence of the prince whom your eyes have seen.
8 Go not forth hastily to strive, lest you know not what to do in the end thereof, when your neighbor has put you to shame.
9 Debate your cause with your neighbor himself; and discover not a secret to another:
10 Lest he that hears it put you to shame, and your infamy turn not away.

18 A man that bears false witness against his neighbor is [as] a mallet, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
20 As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that sings songs to an heavy heart.
21 If your enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
22 For you shall heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward you.
23 The north wind drives away rain: so does an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.
25 As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.
27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
28 He that has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Continuing: the way of the LORD isn’t to have his people pass through the fires of affliction, but instead for them to hear and learn His ways and in them live in peace and security. The fires are started by men’s ideas, which inevitable burn them up if they refuse to understand they are warned against them in the His teachings. Into these same fires, after man has refused the warning and is in them, He comes as fire against the fires, to consume those who there have led and hold His people.
 
Matthew 24
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
 
The above is speaking of the moment of urgency, when the LORD comes in/as the Son of man, Christ in us leading us out from the grip of the false Christs.
 
Matthew 24
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
 
Note the wording above: we don’t look for Christ externally, because He comes as Light shining on every man wheresoever they are, which is the sign (the nec – the ensign) in the son of man in heaven (in the firmament where the waters/word is rightly divided and thereby understood, and where the great lights: church, civil government and all God’s people except the elect, have gone dark). The false Christs are those who choose to make their stand on darkness, the same errors that are the cause, claiming they are the light and that men should follow them. The true light is the same as the first light, which is spoken into becoming light by God himself.
 
Matthew 11
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, LORD of heaven and earth, because thou have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes.
26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28 Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light [elaphron (elaphros) – fruit (oil) of understanding – elaia + phren (phrao)].
 
We see the preaching of the Son of man (the one who is the first born of God) is to gather God’s people into one body, from (where) the wolves have scattered them.
 
The title is Habakkuk 2:2, and speaks of the vision made plain, and seeing it, God’s people should flee these places and the men (false Christs – false (oil) anointing – false news in church and civil society) who hold them their separated from God’s plan and purpose: liberty, peace, and mutual security.
 
Habakkuk 2
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time [NOW], but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4 Behold, his [the false Christs] soul which is lifted up is not upright in him [the anointing in them is self-approval, men commending themselves among themselves]: but the just shall live by his [own] faith [belief that God has come to him and is in him].
5 Yea also, because he [the false Christs] transgresses by wine [what he has been able to squeeze from the fruit], he is a proud man [he is empowered by his own pride], neither keeps at home [broadcasts his drunken deception], who enlarges his desire as Sheol [they each wants to be the habitation of all the dead], and is as death [his message is what drains the life from man], and cannot be satisfied, but gathers unto him all nations, and heaps unto him all people:
6 Shall not all these [those they have held captive] take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increases that which is not his! how long? and to him that lades himself with thick clay [these are the pledges (money) they receive from their captives, the burden which they think covers them]!
7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite you, and awake that shall vex you, and you shall be for booties unto them?
8 Because you have spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil you; because of men’s blood [because you have drained the life from humanity with your words/waters], and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
9 Woe to him that covets [lusts] an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from [by] the power of evil!
10 You have consulted shame to your house by cutting off many people, and have sinned against your soul.
11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it [the people you have used to build your house].
12 Woe to him that builds a town with blood [by draining the life from man], and stablishes a city by iniquity!
13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor in the very fire [these fires the false Christs start with lies, to agitate the embers], and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity [to achieve nothing, except ashes]?
14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters [His rightly divided word] cover the sea [all the people of the earth – who are agitated at the will of these false Christs].
15 Woe unto him that gives his neighbor drink, that put your bottle to him [your words that take away his power to think and act rationally], and make him drunken also, that you may look on their nakedness [to remove the LORD’s righteous covering – His knowledge]!
16 You are filled with shame for glory: drink you also, and let your foreskin be uncovered [make yourself even more unable to solve your own problem which will destroy you – the strong delusion]: the cup of the LORD’s right hand [power – see Habakkuk 3:4 below] shall be turned unto you, and shameful spewing [an expansion of this word, giving understanding, which is the power of God (light)] shall be on your glory [what is manifested and seen in you].
17 For the violence of Lebanon [when purity is seen in the highest places] shall cover you, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
18 What profits the graven image [their creations – ever changing (relativistic) words they trust in] that the maker thereof has graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts therein, to make dumb idols?
19 Woe unto him that says to the [dead] wood [the rods that will never blossom life], Awake; to the dumb stone [from where no enlightening waters/words will come], Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver [as thick clay], and there is no breath [life] at all in the midst of it.
20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
 
This is the word of the LORD. In this context, built on the foundation of Christ in our prior discussions, the knowledge we have received directly from God, we can go on to read Habakkuk 3 as He continues.
 
Habakkuk 3
1 A prayer of Habakkuk [taken by [God’s] hand] the prophet upon Shigionoth [those who have strayed into error].
2 O LORD, I have heard your speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive [quicken – bring to life] your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known [give us understanding – knowledge]; in wrath remember mercy [and it is so, My wrath is understanding, and those who forsake it reject mercy].
3 God came from Teman [the right hand (power) from looking toward the sun rise (for light)], and the Holy One from mount Paran [the cloud, where understanding of the knowledge is given by the light seen in it – see Numbers 10:11 thru 14 & Job 37:21 & 38:34 thru 38]. Selah [think about it]. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns [rays of light] coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow [all the place that have raised themselves up from the earth]: his ways are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan [the houses of darkness] in affliction: and the curtains [separation] of the land of Midian [strife] did tremble [agitation as the product].
8 Was the LORD displeased against the rivers [the means by which the waters of death flowed]? was your anger against the rivers? was your wrath against the sea [the people who became agitated by what flowed into them], that you did ride upon your horses [God’s people become His goodly horse in he battle – see Zechariah 10:3 for who the anger is against] and your chariots of salvation [the product of the LORD’s power raised in His people]?
9 Your bow was made quite naked [see Isaiah 52:10], according to the oaths of the tribes [see Genesis 49:8 thru 12, & 22 thru 26], even your word. Selah [see the prior post and think about it]. You did cleave the earth with rivers [this rightly divided pure word of God, flowing directly from Him].
10 The mountains [the high places of men – see Ephesians 6:12] saw you, and they trembled: the [these] overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands [the light coming from His hand, where is His power] on high.
11 The sun and moon [church and civil government] stood still in their habitation: at the light of your arrows they went, and at the shining of your glittering spear [this word coming from the hand of God].
12 You did march through the land in indignation, you did thresh the heathen in anger.
13 You went forth for the salvation of your people, even for salvation with your anointed [I am]; you wounded the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah [think about it].
14 You did strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
15 You did walk through the sea with your horses, through the heap of great waters.
16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he comes up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops [the enemy that has come and why there is no life or fruit, and why the herd is scattered].
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
 
Habakkuk is a contemporary of Jeremiah, and what He saw is the LORD rising in Jeremiah, and in the elect remnant raised with Him. This was the beginning of the captivity and leading to the desolation of Jerusalem (the ruin of God’s teaching, and the foundation it lays for peace and security). The cause was the waters that were then flowing to the people, leading them away from God and into what would become total desolation. God’s plan has always been to rise even in these times not destroying men’s lives, but instead, sending His word to save them. Until this point it has just been us, the LORD rising in an elect remnant who would hear and keep his word: preserving and protecting it for the purpose of this point in time. Now is when He has, by this same means, raised us again, first as the lowly donkey, and now as His goodly horse in the battle, and through us, all will hear and have the chance to choose for themselves.
 
It is time to raise the LORD’s standard (nec) upon the walls of Babylon (where confusion has ruled and reigned). This is what Jeremiah speaks of in Jeremiah 51:12, and continues on to say of this time, in the day of the LORD vengeance, when He comes against those who have destroyed the earth.
 
Jeremiah 51
1 Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
2 And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
3 Against him that bends let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifts himself up in his brigandine: and spare you not her young men; destroy you utterly all her host.
4 Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans [those who use their words to manipulate and control men, inciting them to violence], and they that are thrust through in her streets.
5 For Israel [those who will rule and reign on the earth as God, in righteousness] hath not been forsaken, nor Judah [His leaders] of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon [from confusion into understanding], and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; he will render unto her a recompense [the time of their deserved reward].
7 Babylon [confusion] hath been a golden cup in the LORD’s hand, that made all the earth drunken [now in strong delusion]: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad [insane].
8 Babylon [confusion] is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm [this healing word] for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reaches unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
10 The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
11 Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes [the middle people]: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple [the people in whom He abides].
12 Set up the standard [nec – that will bring what was dead to life – the quickening] upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spoke against the inhabitants of Babylon.
13 O you that dwells upon many waters, abundant in treasures, your end is come, and the measure of your covetousness.
14 The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill you with men, as with caterpillars; and they shall lift up a shout against you.
15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.
16 When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters [this word flows] in the heavens; and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth: he makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of his treasures.
17 Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
18 They are vanity [nothing], the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
19 The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod [that will shoot forth life] of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.
20 You are my battle axe and weapons of war: for with you will I break in pieces the nations, and with you will I destroy kingdoms;
21 And with you will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with you will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;
22 With you also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with you will I break in pieces old and young; and with you will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;
23 I will also break in pieces with you the shepherd and his flock; and with you will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with you will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
24 And I will render unto Babylon [the reigning confusion] and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea [those who use their words to manipulate and control men] all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, says the LORD.
25 Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, says the LORD, which destroy all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon you, and roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burnt mountain.
26 And they shall not take of you a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but you shall be desolate for ever, says the LORD.
27 Set you up a standard [nec – that will bring what was dead to life – the quickening] in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars [that will devour confusion with their mouths – speaking understanding].
28 Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes [the people in the center – who have not been cold or hot], the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.
29 And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon [the ruling confusion], to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.
30 The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwelling-places; her bars are broken.
31 One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,
32 And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.
33 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing-floor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
34 Nebuchadrezzar [the lies of the false prophet – fake news media in church and nation – which have caused confusion to reign] the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out [as did the whale Jonah, with a wide open mouth].
35 The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
36 Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.
37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling-place for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.
38 They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions’ whelps.
39 In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, says the LORD.
40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.
41 How is Sheshach [another name (seem to be 6th (angel)) for the confusion that rules the world – see Jeremiah 25:26 thru 29] taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
43 Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwells, neither does any son of man pass thereby.
44 And I will punish Bel [the idols] in Babylon [their own confusion], and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up [as the whale did Jonah]: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
45 My people, go you out of the midst of her, and deliver you every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.
46 And lest your heart faint, and you fear for the rumor that shall be heard in the land; a rumor shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumor, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
47 Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
48 Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, says the LORD.
49 As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.
50 You that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.
51 We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD’s house.
52 Wherefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.
53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, says the LORD.
54 A sound of a cry comes from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
55 Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:
56 Because the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for the LORD God of recompenses shall surely requite.
57 And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
58 Thus says the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labor in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah [the ruler of Jehovah] the son of Neriah [by the light of Jehovah], the son of Maaseiah [which is the shelter of Jehovah], when he went with Zedekiah [the righteousness of Jehovah] the king of Judah [God’s rulers] into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah [the ruler of Jehovah] was a quiet prince.
60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.
61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When you come to Babylon [confusion], and shall see [understand], and shall read all these words;
62 Then shall you say, O LORD, you hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.
63 And it shall be, when you have made an end of reading this book, that you shall bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates.
64 And you shall say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
 
Revelation 16
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
 
Revelation 3
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans [the people made righteous in the judgment] write; These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you wert cold or hot.
16 So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.
17 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye-salve, that you may see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.

And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me.

Continuing to-day with the cross, heresies to the heretic, quickening baptism in truth’s purifying fire, the life of the living, and offered to the dead. The word cross comes from the Greek word stauros, and in actuality tells of laying down our own identity and assuming our new self of Christ in us.
 
Here is the definition from the Strong’s Greek Dictionary: Strong’s #4716: stauros (pronounced stow-ros’) from the base of 2476 [stao – meaning to stand (stay)]; a stake or post (as set upright), i.e. (specially), a pole or cross (as an instrument of capital punishment); figuratively, exposure to death, i.e. self-denial; by implication, the atonement of Christ:–cross.
 
The word is used twenty-eight times, always rendered “cross.” The title is Matthew 10:38, the first use, and the second is Matthew 16:24 and adds the deeper meaning of self-denial. “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
 
The deepest meaning of the cross is found in the pattern of Aaron’s rod. Aaron himself is the one the LORD sent to assist Moses and speaks the word of the LORD, given to him by Moses who received it directly from the LORD. Aaron is in this description seen as the ideal pattern of the priest, who receive the word from the ideal prophet, and both deliver it freely in the exact form it is received. Aaron’s rod is the one Moses used in most of his miraculous God powered acts, which came when God’s approval and validation of His authority in these men became necessary: the same dead wood blossomed into life and produced fruit. So is the cross.
 
Numbers 16 tells of God’s people doing as they have a habit of, murmuring against those God is speaking to them through. This chapter and the one following describes the validation process, the trial by fire, and is followed by chapter 17 telling of the validating life and fruit that comes from the ashes.
 
Numbers 17
1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write you every man’s name upon his rod.
3 And you shall write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
4 And you shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
5 And it shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
6 And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
7 And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.
8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and you shall quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
11 And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.
12 And the children of Israel spoke unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
13 Whosoever comes any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
 
All the Gospels except John’s contain an almost identical sentence telling the self-denial that reproduces us in the image and likeness of Christ, the same exact Spirit of God in us, (because we believe in only one God.) This is the LORD appearing, as we are told to look for him in Act’s 1:11 when it says He will come in like manner as we saw him leave – by/from the cross raised into glory.
 
Acts 1
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, You men of Galilee [this inner circle of those who God has chosen to understand], why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.
 
The idea of the cross in implied in John 3:14 where the LORD tells of how he must be lifted up as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness. In this description, we see the deeper coinciding idea of life that comes to those looking to the LORD as He is raised up, crucified by and because of the darkened eyes of ignorant men as serpents among us preaching death, and quickened to life again by understand what they are witnessing [see Isaiah 52 & 53].
 
Numbers 21
5 And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loathes this light bread.
6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against you; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looks upon it, shall live.
9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
 
The “pole” above is the twenty times used Hebrew word nec, which is most often translated as a “standard” or “ensign,” which all men will see and be drawn to. We know this is the description the LORD gives in John 3 as he tells of Himself as the fiery serpent on the pole/cross, that will consume death [as Aaron’s rod consumed the serpents of Jannes and Jambres.]
 
2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
 
John 3
5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say unto you, Except a man be born of water [the undefiled word that flows directly from God] and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto you, You must be born again.
8 The wind [Spirit] blows where it lists [wills], and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell whence [from where or when] it comes, and whither [where] it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

15 That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
 
The dead wood by/on which Christ was put to death is as Aaron’s rod – and in the hand of the prophet the LORD has chosen, and sent as He said He would. It is the standard lifted up in power, which will bring life to those who have been the prey of the gaping and consuming mouth of the subtle serpents among them in the camp.
 
Deuteronomy 18
13 You shall be perfect with the LORD your God.
14 For these nations, which you shall possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for you, the LORD your God has not suffered you so to do.
15 The LORD your God will raise up unto you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brethren, like unto me; unto him you shall hearken;
16 According to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto you, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously: you shall not be afraid of him.
 
The word nec (pole) is first used, after the book of Numbers, in Psalms 60:4 where it is rendered “banner” in precisely describing the message that comes through the cross, and its intended product.
 
Psalms 60
1 O God, you have cast us off, you have scattered us, you have been displeased; O turn yourself to us again.
2 You have made the earth to tremble; you have broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shakes.
3 You have shewed your people hard things: you have made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
4 You have given a banner [nec] to them that fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
5 That your beloved may be delivered; save with your right hand, and hear me.
 
Isaiah uses the word nec ten times, once as “banner” and “sail,” twice as “standard,” and six times as “ensign.” It is twice used, in Isaiah 11:10 & 12, where it describes the root of Jesse, which will stand for an “ensign” to the people. This root (sheresh) is the same seemingly dead wood spoken of in Isaiah 53:2 as in a dry ground, and from where grows the tender plant.
 
Isaiah 52
6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that does speak: behold, it is I.
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Your God reigns!
8 Your watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

Isaiah 53

Isaiah 11

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

16 And there shall be an highway [a higher way] for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria [saved from the foreign ways and ideas that have made us desolate, as they have done to all nations who abide in them]; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
 
The cross is also spoken of using the Greek word xulon, which is rendered “tree” when telling of it as where on the LORD was hanged. The same word is rendered “stocks” in Acts 16:24 telling of when Paul and Silas were put in prison and their feet in stocks.

16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks [xulon].
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly un-condemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay truly; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
 
Luke uses the word xulon twice in his Gospel, and three other times in Acts, all translated as “tree.” In Acts it’s always the “tree” the LORD was hanged on. One time in Luke, and in its four prior uses in Mark and Matthew, it is rendered “staves” in telling of those who came to take the LORD at the betrayal, with swords and staves. In Luke 23:31 it is used by the LORD to tell of His life as a green tree, and asking if they do these things while he is alive (in a green tree), what will they do in a dry tree. The dry tree is telling of the coming dead wood of the priesthood and all leadership, that remained so until it was resurrected – budded and brought forth its fruit.

31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
32 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

37 And saying, If you be the king of the Jews, save yourself.

The dry tree is the root of Jesse the Ephrathite (Ephraim, double fruit, the son of Joseph), that doesn’t bud until Shiloh comes, as the son of David.
 
Genesis 49
10 The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

Genesis 49

Continuing our discussion of the LORD’s returning, established in us after the corruption of men’s teaching has been taken out of the way. This purification is the sin removed as the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, away from the ideas that have separated us from the LORD, and in this victory over death the LORD is raised and rules in us as Christ. It comes as a matter of diligence by those who love the LORD and keep His word, into who He by this preparation makes His abode. “But without faith [believing it is Him speaking to us] it is impossible to please Him [come to the point of a mind in full agreement with His]: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
 
In the prior post, we again saw this as what the LORD describes in John 14 where He answers the questions of how He will manifest (make apparent) Himself to us (those who love and keep His word) and not to the world (those whose minds remain blinded by the gods of this world and their ideas).
 
1 Corinthians 15
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the LORD from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

This “labor” which is not in vain, is our diligent search, seeking the LORD and then being corrected by Him as we find Him, and eventually see Him. This is the voice we hear speaking to us from the rightly divided word, the sound doctrine which gives us understanding and saves us from the corruption of sin (erroneous ideas and ways) and its confusion. Ordered thought and healed conscience, the agreement with God which pleases Him, when the lame can again walk with Him, are heaven: where all things have been made perfect by our understanding and exercising His wisdom.
 
Hebrews 12
11 Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the LORD:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright [for one corrupted ideas kept because of the momentary gain].
17 For you know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
18 For you are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
 
Again, in verse 15 above we see we are called to diligently look for the LORD, after we follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which we will never see Him. If we refuse these, His ideas and ways, we fail (by this choice) God’s unfailing gift of grace (His overcoming the error we are held in, long-suffering to correct us as His children). This is the change we must all undergo, and which produce our seeing Him: hearing His word, the corrupted has put on incorruption and being quickened (raised to life) the mortal has put on immortality.
 
In the prior post, we saw this as the one and only one God in us, appearing to our cognitive mind; Deuteronomy 6 saying: “3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you, in the land that flows with milk and honey. 4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.”
 
The Hebrew word translated above as “mightily” and “might” is m’od, which Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary says is from the same as ‘uwd. Here are both definitions:
 
Strong’s #181: ‘uwd (pronounced ood) from an unused root meaning to rake together; a poker (for turning or gathering embers):– (fire-)brand.
 
Strong’s #3966: m`od (pronounced meh-ode’) from the same as 181; properly, vehemence, i.e. (with or without preposition) vehemently; by implication, wholly, speedily, etc. (often with other words as an intensive or superlative; especially when repeated):– diligently, especially, exceeding(-ly), far, fast, good, great(-ly), X louder and louder, might(-ily, -y), (so) much, quickly, (so) sore, utterly, very (+ much, sore), well.
 
M’od is the word in Deuteronomy 4:9 used when reminding us to keep our souls “diligently,” and then in verse 14 as “take you therefore good heed” to what the LORD said from the fire in Horeb. M’od is also used in Exodus 19:16 &19 to tell of the voice of the trumpet as “exceeding” loud, and “waxing louder and louder.” It is used in Exodus 19:18, rendered “greatly” in telling of the mountain’s shaking.
 
This is the same shaking, the same voice, and the same mountains written of in Hebrews 12 above, as the LORD comes to correct His children away from the errors they learned in their captivity. This is the long-suffering sound of the LORD’s voice, the voice of an archangel (His messenger), sounding as an ever-increasing trumpet alerting us to our condition and need to rise, which Paul writes of in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 & 17. It is the LORD’s example of diligence, laying down His life to set us free, and “because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”
 
1 John 3
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning [speaking of the error born of misleading teaching, which results in a separation from God and His intended perfection – as Eden]. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested [has been made apparent], that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

Exodus 19
16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightning, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding [m’od] loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly [m’od].
19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder [m’od], Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.
20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for you charged us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
 
Hebrews 12 tells us that we who have followed peace and holiness, hearing His voice and being corrected and healed from errors, have come to mount Zion. This is the place where we have followed the forerunner, into the presence of God. It is outside the camp as spoken of above, as is written in Hebrews 13, which also speaks of the mission for which I am sent.
 
Hebrews 13
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our LORD Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
23 Know you that our brother Timothy is set at liberty [loosed from death, for this missions]; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

Deuteronomy 4
4 But you that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.
5 Behold, [with grace and truth] I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land whither you go to possess it.
6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7 For what nation is there so great, who has God so near unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8 And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
9 Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently [m’od], lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life: but teach them your sons, and your sons’ sons;
10 Specially the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
11 And you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
12 And the LORD spoke unto you out of the midst of the fire: you heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only you heard a voice [for our God is Spirit, who speaks through those He chooses and separated for this mission].
13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
14 And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might do them in the land whither you go over to possess it.
15 Take you therefore good heed unto yourselves; for you saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spoke unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
16 Lest you corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flies in the air,
18 The likeness of any thing that creep on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19 And lest you lift up your eyes unto heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
20 But the LORD has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt [out of the captivity and away from worshiping men and their creation (ideas), more than the creator], to be unto him a people of inheritance, as you are this day.
 
The voice the LORD has sent is the voice which He told Moses and the people be would send.
 
Deuteronomy 18
9 When you are come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you.
13 You shall be perfect with the LORD your God.
14 For these nations, which you shall possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for you, the LORD your God has not suffered you so to do.
15 The LORD your God will raise up unto you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brethren, like unto me; unto him you shall hearken;
16 According to all that you desiredst of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto you, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously: you shall not be afraid of him.
 
These places from where all of God’s people must be separated before they can see the LORD, are the ideas and ways of the false prophets and false teachers who have crept in among His people.
 
2 Peter 2
…who privily [from their own imaginations] shall bring [have brought] in damnable heresies, even denying the LORD that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The LORD knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
 
Hebrews 9
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin [without error (correcting us to take away our errors/sin)] unto salvation.
 
Hebrews10
1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect [without error].
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged [purified and cleansed] should have had no more conscience of sins [a conscience no longer serving sin/errors/idols/ideas] .
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins [could correct and give an understanding removing errors].
5 Wherefore when he comes into the world, he said, Sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body have you prepared me [in which He would speaks and correct]:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do your will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin you would not, neither had pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will, O God. He taketh away the first [sacrifice that could not correct into peace and holiness], that he may establish the second [which could].
10 By the which will we are sanctified [purified] through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all [to bring the gospel, and produce after His own kind].
11 And every priest stands daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool [enemies – the teachers of error, who sit in the seats of power opposing His plan and purpose].
14 For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified [purified].
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he has consecrated [inaugurated] for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water [purifying word].
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together [a complete collection – joining ourselves into His one body], as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense, says the LORD. And again, The LORD shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight of afflictions;
33 Partly, whilst you were made a gazing-stock [held up for public mocking – as I have been often] both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst you became companions of them that were so used.
34 For you had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.
36 For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back [into these corrupt place, following the ideas that will never materialize, which we have been purified away from], my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition [into these places that are perishing because they refuse to believe the voice]; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
 
These places are perishing because they refuse to be plucked [harpazo] from the fire. The word ‘uwd is only used three times, rendered as “firebrand” of “brand,” meaning what stirs the embers together and into flame. These are the dead who the LORD comes to rescue from the fires they themselves are causing, as we are again told of using the word harpazo. Harpazo is the word rendered “caught up” in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, which we know is the same word translated “pull out” in Jude 1:23, saying, “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”
 
‘uwd is used in Amos 4:11, after the LORD describes those who transgress in His house, and who then reject his attempts to pull them from the fires. “I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have you not returned unto me, says the LORD.11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were as a firebrand [‘uwd] plucked out of the burning: yet have you not returned unto me, says the LORD. 12 Therefore thus will I do unto you, O Israel: and because I will do this unto you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.”
 
It is then used in Zechariah 3, the chapter we have discussed in detail as describing the purification of the priesthood, spoken of as Joshua (Jesus), and Satan standing at His right hand to resist it. We know this is the pattern of the body of Christ, as the priesthood as a firebrand plucked from the fires (or as many as will be purified).
 
Zechariah 3
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: is not this a brand [‘uwd] plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments [these are the Holy attire]. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
6 And the angel of the LORD protested [repeated] unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your fellows that sit before you: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day, says the LORD of hosts, shall you call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.

Continuing: this is the uncensored truth: the coming of the LORD is our receiving Him as His Holy Spirit first comes beside us, leading us out of corruption and into all truth. The corruption is the teaching of the principalities and powers, the spiritual wickedness in the high place of church and state education and information, which have censored out the truth and replaced it with their own ideas meant to make them lords over God’s people. When these men (their ideas) are removed, and the Spirit is heard as the LORD’s voice, the same Spirit of God joins with ours and raises us from what was before either a sleeping or dead body (the quickening).
 
Deuteronomy 6
1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land whither you go to possess it:
2 That you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you, in the land that flows with milk and honey.
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
6 And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart:
7 And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sits in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
9 And you shall write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.
 
John 14
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter [Paraclete – the one who comes along side and leads us back to life, and the LORD rising in us and with us], that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you [one and only one God in us rising and ruling in our renewed mind. There is only one God, and if He is in you why do you wait for another?].
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you see me: because I live, you shall live also.
20 At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest [emphanizo – exhibit, disclose, uncover] myself to him.
22 Judas said unto him, not Iscariot, LORD, how is it that you will manifest [emphanizo – reveal] yourself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep [protect and preserve as received] my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode [mone – the place we will stay. In my Father’s house, family, there are many mone] with him.
24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house [one body] are many mansions [mone]: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you [and have prepared those who have listened and been freed from the power of the wicked who infest the high places, and who have led the world into death].
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again [the second advent in us], and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

Psalms 25
1 Unto you, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

Job 19

[1 Corinthians 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved (dokimos – by the trial) may be made manifest (phaneros – become apparent) among you.]

Continuing: The above tells of the LORD appearing using the Greek word phaneroo, meaning to render apparent, signifying we realize what we are seeing – as we see Him we understand our own existence and immortality. In 1 Corinthians 15:54, while telling of this epiphany occurring, Paul says, “when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, ‘Death is swallowed up in victory.'” We saw this aspect, of what is corrupted putting on incorruption, described in the previous post as coming when all the principalities and powers, the wicked who have made themselves the enemies of God and His truth, have been put down (and become the footstool of the Son the Father has sent). We understand these are the places that have degenerated into darkness, which is covering all deeper understanding of God’s nature and thereby cognizance of our own. We also saw these men’s teaching, and ways must necessarily be taken out of the way before we can receive God’s truth – because their ideas are in total opposition to His plan and purpose of enlightenment by the truth. Paul tells us when they have been removed, those sitting in the seats of God opposing Him and holding us down (katecho), then we will understand it is the LORD Himself calling us to rise and put on immortality. This is where we stand, the LORD knocking at the door of the place John speaks of in the title. John continues:
 
1 John 3
3 And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.
11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
15 Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

17 But whoso has this world’s good [this word of God by which men live], and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
 
The sin John is talking about, which is as the devil who sinned from the beginning, is to deceive and mislead God’s people away from Him. John’s saying this is referring us to his gospel (see John 8:44 below) and what is said therein of the same subject. It tells of those who are unable to hear our words because they are children of the devil, who have received him and his words, which lead men to death, not life. These are the men who crept in secretly to lead God’s people astray, who didn’t keep (protect and preserve its meaning as received) His word.

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only LORD God, and our LORD Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the LORD, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

13 The Pharisees [those in charge, who seek the maintain the breach under their control] therefore said unto him, You bear record of yourself; your record is not true.

15 You judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made free?

46 Which of you convinces [accuses] me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not believe me?
47 He that is of God hears God’s words: you therefore hear them not, because you are not of God.
48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan [an idol worshiper], and have a devil?
49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honor my Father, and you do dishonor me.
50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeks and judges.
51 Truly, truly, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself?
54 Jesus answered, If I honor myself, my honor is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom you say, that he is your God:
55 Yet you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Truly, truly, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am [ego eime – this same person I am now existed – see Exodus 3:14 & 15].
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
 
Exodus 3
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers has sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I Am has sent me unto you.
15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
 
The point made in the name I am is it saying I exist here (as Christ) in man; not in temples built by the hands of men.
 
Acts 7
37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the LORD your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me [in whom I am will dwell and speak]; him shall you hear.
38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spoke to him in the mount Sinai, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles [living word] to give unto us:
39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O you house of Israel, have you offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
43 Yea, you took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures [idols] which you made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon [confusion].
44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus [Joshua] into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
46 Who found favor before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
47 But Solomon built him a house.
48 Howbeit the most High dwells not in temples made with hands; as said the prophet,
49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will you build me? says the LORD: or what is the place of my rest?
50 Has not my hand made all these things?
51 You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.
52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom you have been now the betrayers and murderers:
53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
 
Verse 49 above is quoting Isaiah 66:1 & 2, which is there followed by the LORD describing the sacrifices now made to the idols in the houses they call God’s house, which these men have made from ideas of their own imaginations. These men have received God’s word by the disposition [diatage – and order arrangement – as in precept by precept, line by line] of angels [from God’s messenger – the Just one who they have lied about and in their own minds destroyed], and have not kept it [have not protected and preserved it as it was received]. This is written for us, to describe what has happened to the established orders in church and state, and how they have become totally darkened (ineffective), lost all understanding, and long ago left their foundational obligation.
 
Isaiah 66
1 Thus says the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that you build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2 For all those things has mine hand made, and all those things have been, says the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.
3 He that kills an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrifices a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offers an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burns incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
4 I also will choose their delusions [that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness], and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
5 Hear the word of the LORD, you that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that renders recompense [their deserved reward] to his enemies.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8 Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. [ Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwells in mount Zion.]
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? says your God.
10 Rejoice you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her:
11 That you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12 For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall you suck, you shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 And when you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants [those who have chosen to become his friends], and his indignation toward his enemies.

16 For by fire and by his sword [this word of His mouth] will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse [continuing to consume the unclean and defiled], shall be consumed together, says the LORD.

12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the LORD; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
 
Revelation 14
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first-fruits unto God and to the Lamb.

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark [confusion] of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the LORD from henceforth: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Friends, today a discussion of the reality of the resurrection we are told of above: when Christ has put down the thoughts and ideas that rule over blind minds, and has in their place raised up His truth, which in our minds rule as God’s kingdom. This is what happened when the disciples remembered what the LORD told them, that after three days He would rise in them, and at Pentecost send His same Spirit to the masses. What they remembered is God is Spirit who dwells in man, Whom the LORD said after His death would be in us as He is in Him. In order and by course, we come to understand this and see it by the experience in us. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
 
He spoke of the same Spirit of God, one and only one God, who was in Moses as Christ, in Him (Jesus) as Christ, who is in us in the same way, leading us into and in His kingdom. But, we can only enter when all the corrupted ideas and teaching that have led us (God’s people at large) away into now standing away from Him (apostasy) and with the dead, have been shown to be misleadings and abandoned. These other kingdoms are “according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.” These are who we war against, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 2:2 and 6:12)
 
When we are baptized, it is into this same one body; when living in this physical body it is Christ; in death, it is rest until we are raised again into the body God (the one Spirit we are part of as one) has prepared. This is who we were, are, and will forever be. The true body of Christ, the one body, is many made one, on earth as it is in heaven (the other times and places, when we were, are, and will be awakened by the rightly divided word of God quickening us to life by His Spirit: which never sleeps, nor can He/They die.)
 
1 Corinthians 12
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked.
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
 
Friends, all God’s written word and all the righteous work of all those who have come before us have come by those who saw our day, when the Spirit of God would perfect us and raise us all together, AS ONE. These men saw the promise, and by this faith saw the evidence of what was to come, and worked toward it, “And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.” (Hebrews 11:39 & 40)
 
1 Corinthians 10
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be you idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur you, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world [this age] are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinks he stands [with God] take heed lest he fall.
13 There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 I speak as to wise men; judge you what I say.
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
 
This “report” (Hebrews 11:39) is the LORD’s commendation of the men approved by God, who through faith please Him as they brought their thoughts and Acts into accord with His promises.
 
Friends, the age of darkness we were once in is ending, and coming is the new age (heaven and earth), into which the quickened have already entered. This is the judgment that comes as a last call (trump) when and where all are awakened by Christ in us preaching to the spirits in prison. These are those who have in the past been disobedient, many of whom will not repent, even now when one has been raised and sent from the dead preaching life.
 
Do you understand this is the reality, and God has put all things under my feet?
 
1 Peter 3
8 Finally, be you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that you should inherit a blessing.
10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
12 For the eyes of the LORD are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the LORD is against them that do evil.
13 And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good?
14 But and if you suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
15 But sanctify the LORD God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
18 For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened [brought back to life] by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism does also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
 
Friends, I am, we are as one, the Ark of the testimony the Father has sent to save as many as will hear and get on board with us, as one. This unity is the word and work, plan and purpose, of the Holy Spirit, and the will of the Father in heaven.
 
Matthew 12
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David [the king who will come and repair the breach in the house]?
 
Amos 9
8 Behold, the eyes of the LORD God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, says the LORD.
9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, says the LORD that does this.
 
Matthew 12
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub [the god of the trash heap – gathered there as flies to dung] the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan [if those resisting God resist themselves], he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [vilification of His word and work] against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. [it’s logic – resisting His plan and purpose there cannot be repentance or deliverance from self-destruction]
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.
38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from you.
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah:
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s [ketos – from chasma and telling the gaping mouth that consumes the prey – again see Jonah 2] belly [where those consumed are held, until they come to repentance at the preaching of Christ]; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jona is here.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits [preached by the corrupted kingdoms and powers in church and state] more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation [as it is this day].
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, your mother and your brethren stand without, desiring to speak with you.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
 
The good report and the commendation of God are meant to show His approval of those He has sent for this purpose, to preach Good Tidings to men of good will.
 
Isaiah 30
1 Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
2 That walk to go down into Egypt [who go into captivity under the corrupted worldly powers], and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh [these men who have made themselves kings in the earth] be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion [the shadow which blocks the LORD’s light and understanding].
4 For his princes were at Zoan [in the place of the departed], and his ambassadors came to Hanes [where grace was absent].
5 They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
6 The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.
7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still [to not be led out of captivity].
8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
12 Wherefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant.
14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
15 For thus says the LORD God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and you would not.
16 But you said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall you flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall you flee: till you be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.
18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: you shall weep no more: he will be very gracious unto you at the voice of your cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer you.
20 And though the LORD give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not your teachers be removed into a corner any more, but your eyes shall see your teachers:
21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.
22 You shall defile also the covering of your graven images of silver, and the ornament of your molten images of gold: you shall cast them away as a menstruous cloth; you shall say unto it, Get you hence.
23 Then shall he give the rain of your seed, that you shall sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall your cattle feed in large pastures.
24 The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.
25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall [these high places of wicked powers].
26 Moreover the light of the moon [civil government] shall be as the light of the sun [the one body of light], and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of his people, and heals the stroke of their wound.
27 Behold, the name of the LORD comes from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck [these are the LORD’s word spoken through me], to sift the nations with the sieve of their [own] vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people [the manipulative words controlling the dead], causing them to err.
29 You shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity [qadash – sanctification: cleansed and purified; separated from these powers and errors to the LORD’s plan and purpose] is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
31 For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian [these foreign ways and ideas] be beaten down, which smote with a rod.
32 And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.
33 For Tophet [the place of fire] is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he has made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, does kindle it.
 
2 Peter 1
1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our LORD,
3 According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity [giving this word freely as you have received it].
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall:
11 For so an entrance shall be [is now] ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth.
13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our LORD Jesus Christ has shewed me.
15 Moreover I will endeavor that you may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our LORD Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased [the commendation].
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
 
Friends, we are the good trees God has created on the third day, upon whom He has looked and shown His approval. As we know from our studies, the light is understanding given from God by His Holy Spirit moving upon the darkened deep meaning of all things. The firmament is the expanse, the exposition of ideas, which divide the word of God from the vain words of men, in a world that by them has become without form and void of understanding. The exposition is heaven, occurring by and in the presence of God moving and working on earth, by His word. It is what brings forth life on earth, initially men as trees, but later after His Spirit has done His full work, man is produced in the image and likeness of God. This is the process, of which we have been and are in the mist.
 
Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was [became] without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be [become] light: and there was [became] light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were [became] the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be [become] a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let [become] it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was [became] so.

Mark 8
18 Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? and do you not remember?
19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? They say unto him, Twelve.
20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? And they said, Seven.
21 And he said unto them, How is it that you do not understand [these are when I expanded the word of life? Because man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God does man live.]
22 And he came to Bethsaida [the house of fish – the house where, as the ketos, the man was held captive in blindness]; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit [ptou – the idea of (ptusso) spreading or expanding as it comes from the mouth] his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put his hands [works added to the spit, which are words expanded upon] again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
 
Hebrews 12
25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Continuing: as we have discussed, the word “approved” above is the word dokimos, a word which is equal to the Hebrew word tsaraph, meaning metal fused together (refined and tried). The Strong’s Greek Dictionary says the definition of dokimos is acceptable (current after assayal); assayal meaning to examine (test the quality and purity – and remaining after) as in the refiner’s fire spoken of in Malachi 3.
 
Malachi 3
1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appears? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, says the LORD of hosts.
6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed [In My fire. Only the trash is consumed].
7 Even from the days of your fathers you are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, says the LORD of hosts. But you said, Wherein shall we return?
8 Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, Wherein have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings [the offering in righteousness – verse 3 above].
9 You are cursed with a curse: for you have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring you all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, says the LORD of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for you shall be a delightsome land, says the LORD of hosts.
13 Your words have been stout against me, says the LORD. Yet you say, What have we spoken so much against you?
14 You have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

17 And they shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him.
18 Then shall you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not.
 
So, I heard this preacher preaching about how God is calling to those living in sin (error), whispering in their ear, to come out from that which they are entangled. Of course, he was talking about the outside of the cup, because if he was talking about what is inside [the corrupted mind] he would need to be preaching to preachers and teachers about the more significant error in which they are engulfed, (as if swallowed by the whale).
 
Jonah 2
1 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly [from the midst of the underlying cause agitating of the sea: the people],
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of Sheol [the habitation of the dead] cried I, and you heard my voice.
3 For you have cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all your billows and your waves passed over me [the ways and idols (ideas) of the proud men of the earth].
4 Then I said, I am cast out of your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.
5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet have you brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto you, into your holy temple.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto you with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay [tithes] that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
10 And the LORD spoke unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land [purged out from among the errors].
 
This refining is spoken of in 1 Corinthians 11:19 as we are told why these errors, the leading of false teachers among us, are allowed.
 
1 Corinthians 11
17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that you come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18 For first of all, when you come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved [dokimos – by this trial, teachers of truth and error are revealed] may be made manifest among you.
20 When you come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the LORD’s supper.
21 For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
22 What? have you not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise you the church of God, and shame them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
23 For I have received of the LORD that which also I delivered unto you, that the LORD Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do you, as oft as you drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do shew the LORD’s death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the LORD, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the LORD.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
 
This bread and the cup spoke of above is telling of our receiving manna directly from the LORD, flowing directly from Him, and by this manifesting, in the approval, we are commended by the LORD. Paul is saying we do not come together to hear what men say, but rather what God says. This is the error in almost all modern preaching, they tell their own stories and say God says, “Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the LORD, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the LORD.”
 
The word above “unworthy” is from the compound word anaxios; from an, which reverses the word axios, meaning worthy. Axios is a word John only uses one time in his gospel, in John 1:27 as John the Baptist tells of himself as not “worthy” to even loosen the straps of the LORD’s sandals. John does use the word seven more times, in Revelation, to describe who is and isn’t “worthy.”
 
Revelation 3
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things say he that has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know your works, that you have a name that you live, and are dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you.
4 You have a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments [by the false doctrines of men – see Revelation 14:4]; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy [axios].
5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
 
The above speaks to the elect remnant, those who are worthy because they were no defiled by false teaching, who went forward with the LORD into Philadelphia.
 
Revelation 3
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;
8 I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
10 Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown.
12 Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
 
The next use of axios is in Revelation 4:11, the chapter beginning with heaven opening (see Malachi 3:10 above) and hearing the first voice as a trumpet, saying, “Come up hither, and I will shew you things which must be hereafter.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD.)
 
As chapter 4 ends it says the LORD is “worthy;” and then following the word is used four times in chapter 5, which describes the one who is found worthy to open the book, which no man to that point had been able to open (because the LORD closed it.) See Revelation 3:7 & 8 above, and Daniel 12:9 & 10, and Ezekiel 44:1 thru 3.
 
Daniel 12
9 And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
 
Ezekiel 44
1 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looks toward the east; and it was shut.
2 Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
3 It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
 
Acts 1
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.
 
Revelation 4
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew you things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightning and thundering and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass [the waters calmed by Shiloh] like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

Revelation 5
1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy [axios] to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy [axios] to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

9 And they sung a new song, saying, You are worthy [axios] to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And have made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy [axios] is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that lives for ever and ever.
 
The essential element here is that true teaching comes directly from the LORD, and should be freely passed on as received. These are the blessings we receive, to then bless others with the same. True teaching is given to be given, so the LORD will receive His tithes, as fruit: children of God produced in His image and likeness.
 
2 Corinthians 9
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty [blessing], whereof you had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty [blessing others], and not as of covetousness [not lusting for things to be receive].
6 But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully [he that sows His gift/blessing shall be blessed by God – shown to be approves as he is commended by Him].
7 Every man according as he purposes in his heart [blessed according to the motives in his mind], so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor: his righteousness remains for ever.
10 Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution [the gift/blessing of God – His word/gospel] unto them, and unto all men;

Verse 22 above quotes from Proverbs 22:9, verse 9 above quotes Psalms 112:9, and the title (2 Corinthians 10:16) quotes Jeremiah 9:24.
 
Proverbs 22
1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.
2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.
3 A prudent man foresees the evil, and hides himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honor, and life.
5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the forward [twisted and perverted truth]: he that does keep his soul shall be far from them.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
7 The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Jeremiah 9

16 I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.

18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
19 For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.
20 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O you women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.
21 For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.
22 Speak, Thus says the LORD, Even the carcasses of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.
23 Thus says the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
24 But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, says the LORD.

And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, says the LORD, two parts therein shall be CUT OFF and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Continuing: The above tells of the result of purification and deliverance that has come to God’s people who hear and receive Him. They are the third who are left; all others will perish in the fires their ideas and ways have kindles. These are the dead who refused to hear and see, and who reject the hand reaching to pull them out.
 
Zechariah 13
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, says the LORD, two parts therein shall be CUT OFF and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
 
This is accomplished by what is declared in verses 1 & 2 of the same chapter:
 
Zechariah 13
1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
2 And it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD of hosts, that I will CUT OFF the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
 
As we’ve seen, David, is the son of Jesse that Ephrathite (1 Samuel 17:12), the family name we have seen in our studies as a mispronunciation of Ephraimite (seen in the Hebrew text of Judges 12:5). By this we understand the house of David is speaking Ephraim as a descendant son of Joseph, the son of Jacob (as is Christ, Matthew 1:16), who were all at one point separated from their brothers. We know this is now culminated in God’s people in this latter time exhibiting patterns of Ephraim as the one revealed as God’s people in this latter time, those who are thought not to be His people.
 
These are the Ephraim spoken of in Zechariah 9:10 & 13, and 10:7; chapter 9 speaking first of the LORD’s lowly entry, riding those we saw are the “babes and suckling” described as humble donkeys. As we saw, these are those in the following chapter describes as Judah (leaders) who He has transformed into His goodly horse in the battle. We know this transposition (Ephraim becomes Judah) is foretold in Genesis 49 as Jacob gathers His sons and tell them what shall befall them in the latter days.
 
When we read the Genesis passage we see Judah is told his scepter (ruling position) shall be with him until Shiloh comes, to who the people shall be gathered. The next verse tells of the time of it (the septer – rule) remaining with him, and then when the foal, the colt of the donkey, shall be tied to the vine of Shiloh.
 
Genesis 49
8 Judah, you are he whom your brethren shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father’s children shall bow down before you.
9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh [tranquility – the one who calms and heals the waters] come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
11 [Shiloh] Binding his foal unto the vine, and his donkey’s colt unto the choice vine [binding the babes and suckling to Himself – the vine, as in John 15:1 thru 6]; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
 
The above is the meaning Matthew 21:2 thru 5, as The LORD tells His disciples to untie and bring the donkey and its foal, which He rides into Jerusalem. We are then told in verse 5 this is done to fulfill Zechariah 9:9, which Matthew then quotes.
 
Matthew 21
1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage [the house of unripe figs], unto the mount of Olives [the source of anointing and healing oil], then sent Jesus two disciples,
2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway you shall find an donkey tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
3 And if any man say ought unto you, you shall say, The LORD has need of them; and straightway he will send them.
4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
5 Tell you the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King comes unto you, meek, and sitting upon an donkey, and a colt the foal of an donkey.
6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7 And brought the donkey, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that comes in the name of the LORD; Hosanna in the highest.
10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves.
14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
 
What we see in the events above described in Matthew 21 are the things we are told, in Zechariah 9, 11, 13 and 14, are “cut off” from among those the LORD has come to deliver. The word there rendered “cut off” is karath, which tells of the branches that are cut off and cast into the fires, which the LORD speaks of in John 15 as He tells of Himself as the true vine to which we must be tied.
 
John 15
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same bring forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples.
 
Zechariah 9
1 The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach [speaking of a renewed dwelling place – referring us to 2 Chronicles 15:8 – see below], and Damascus [in silence and calm] shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.
2 And Hamath [the fortress] also shall border thereby; Tyrus [the false rock – from which flows death in her waters], and Zidon [to hunt souls], though it be very wise.
3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
4 Behold, the LORD will cast her out, and he will smite [nakah] her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
5 Ashkelon [the place of the trail in her fires] shall see it, and fear; Gaza [her means of strength – the treasurers] also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron [perish – as a tree pulled up by its roots]; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6 And a mamzer [illegitimate son – only used one other time, Deuteronomy 23:2 – and see Hebrews 12:8 – those who refuse to be corrected] shall dwell in Ashdod [in positions of power], and I will cut off [karath] the pride of the Philistines [those who have brought in foreign ways and ideas, by which they rule].
7 And I will take away his blood [what is draining their life] out of his mouth [words], and his abominations [their idols] from between his teeth: but he that remains, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron [those that were perishing] as a Jebusite [as the founders of New Jerusalem].
8 And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passes by, and because of him that returns: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King comes unto you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an donkey, and upon a colt the foal of an donkey.
10 And I will cut off [karath] the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
11 As for you also, by the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
12 Turn you to the strong hold, you prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto you;
13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you as the sword of a mighty man.
14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
 
When Zechariah 9 begins speaking of the renewed dwelling place as Hadrach, a name only used this one time, it does so to refer us to 2 Chronicles 15, where in verse 8 the Hebrew word chadash, the origin of the name, is used. There we are told of the pattern of this purification of Ephraim (purified so the LORD could again enter).
 
2 Chronicles 15
1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah [Jehovah has helped – see Hebrews 13:6 and Psalms 118:6] the son of Oded [reiteration – to restore]:
2 And he went out to meet Asa [anointed and healed], and said unto him, Hear you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while you be with him; and if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
3 Now for a long season Israel has been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations [to understand the report/teaching of rest and restoration, into peace and security] were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
6 And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
7 Be you strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
 
The “porch” is that spoken of in Ezekiel 44:3, where the LORD will enter, which was shut and which He has now opened and has entered.
 
Ezekiel 43
1 Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks toward the east:
2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east [as a sun rising]: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
3 And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar [far off in the future]; and I fell upon my face.
4 And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.
5 So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.
6 And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.
7 And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcasses of their kings in their high places.
8 In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.
9 Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcasses of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.
10 You son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.
11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.
12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.
 
Ezekiel 44
1 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looks toward the east; and it was shut.
2 Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
3 It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
 
The word karath, telling of those and the things that are “cut off,” is used its final time in Malachi 2:12 telling of cutting off the source of the abomination. There it is telling of Judah being cut off, because he acted treacherously after the priesthood failed. The LORD says for this He will cut off the master (teacher) and the scholar from among His people, as it is this day.
 
1 Corinthians 1
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
 
1 Corinthians 3
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
 
Malachi 2
1 And now, O you priests, this commandment is for you.
2 If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, says the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because you do not lay it to heart.
3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
4 And you shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, says the LORD of hosts.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7 For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
8 But you are departed out of the way; you have caused many to stumble at the law; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the LORD of hosts.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as you have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
10 Have we not all one father? has not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11 Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and has married the daughter of a strange god.
12 The LORD will cut off the man that does this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offers an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
13 And this have you done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regards not the offering any more, or receives it with good will at your hand.
14 Yet you say, Wherefore? Because the LORD has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously: yet is she your companion, and the wife of your covenant.
15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, says that he hates putting away: for one covers violence with his garment, says the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that you deal not treacherously.
17 You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, Wherein have we wearied him? When you say, “Every one that does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them;” or, “Where is the God of judgment?”
 
I know whenever I ask the Father what I should know or say at a specific point/moment in time, He faithfully answers. Hear this word of the Father, to those who cover His work and refuse to give Him the glory He is due:
 
“2 O you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? how long will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.
3 But know that the LORD has set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
6 There be many that say, ‘Who will shew us any good?’ LORD, lift you up the light of your countenance upon us.
7 You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make me dwell in safety.” Psalms 4
 
Psalms 110
1 The LORD said unto my LORD, Sit you at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.
2 The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion: rule you in the midst of your enemies.
3 Your people shall be willing in the day of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: you have the dew of your youth.
4 The LORD has sworn, and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
5 The LORD at your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
 
Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the LORD God is upon [in] me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 But you shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: you shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves.
7 For your shame you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD has blessed.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth bring forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the LORD God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
 
Genesis 49
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from there is [has come] the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25 Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors [harah – all those who shall be conceived] unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
