My flesh also shall rest in hope. For you will not leave my soul in Hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life.

My flesh also shall rest in hope. For you will not leave my soul in Hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life.

The LORD, today (20 August 2021), if you will hear His voice, is showing us the “path” out of Hell and into heaven. The word “path” is from the Hebrew word ‘orach, “from 732; a well-trodden road (literally or figuratively); also a caravan,” from the five times used word ‘arach (732), “a primitive root; [meaning] to travel.”

From Psalms 16:9 thru 11, the title verses give us the outline, telling us our flesh is hidden here in Hell, Sheol, where the Holy One with us, who doesn’t see corruption and shows us the path out. Using the word ‘arach, we’re elsewhere told He is the “wayfaring man” here with us, waiting to be brought into our house, to teach us, lead us into, the uncorrupted truth – as recently discussed from Judges 19. In that chapter, in a pattern, we saw Him as the king, journeying, waiting to be enthroned, as a Father waiting for His children to return to Him.

From the post of 13 August 2021: Judges 19 [FIGURE IT OUT, USE THE SOUND MIND GOD HAS GIVEN YOU!]
1 And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain [‘iysh] Levite [levi] sojourning [guwr – the phrase ‘iysh levi guwr, meaning, a man {‘iysh} joined {levi} and abiding {guwr}] on the side [yrekah – boundary, referring us to Jeremiah 31:8] of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehem-Judah.
2 And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father’s house to Bethlehem-Judah, and was there four whole months.
3 And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father’s house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.
4 And his father in law, the damsel’s father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.
5 And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel’s father said unto his son in law, Comfort your heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.
6 And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel’s father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray you, and tarry all night, and let your heart be merry.
7 And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.
8 And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel’s father said, Comfort your heart, I pray you. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.
9 And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel’s father, said unto him, Behold, now the day is drawn toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day grows to an end, lodge here, that your heart may be merry; and tomorrow get you early on your way, that you may go home.
10 But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also was with him.
11 And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray you, and let us turn in into this city of the Jebusites, and lodge in it.
12 And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.
13 And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.
14 And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin.
15 And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.
16 And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.
17 And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man [[‘arach]] in the street of the city: and the old man said, Where go you? and from where and when come you?
18 And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehem-Judah toward the side of [yrekah – back to the throne of] mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehem-Judah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receives me to house.
19 Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for your handmaid, and for the young man which is with your servants: there is no want of any thing.
20 And the old man said, Peace be with you; howsoever let all your wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.
21 So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.
22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into your house, that we may know him.
23 And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.
24 Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble you them, and do with them what seems good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.
25 But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.
26 Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man’s house where her LORD was, till it was light.
27 And her LORD rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.
28 And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.
29 And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces [THE DIVISION OF THE CHURCH THAT WITNESSES AGAINST THOSE WHO’VE SEPARATED THEMSELVES FROM THE LORD, THE HOUSES THAT REFUSE THEIR KING], and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.
30 And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.

Jeremiah 31
3 The LORD has appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you.
4 Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: you shall again be adorned with your tabrets, and shall go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
5 You shall yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
6 For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise you, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
7 For thus says the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish you, praise you, and say, O LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel.
8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts [yrekah – this end, when and where the King takes His throne] of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travails with child together: a great company shall return thither.
9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
10 Hear the word of the LORD, O you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.
11 For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.
12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14 And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says the LORD.
15 Thus says the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah [the high places, where delusion and betrayal had occurred], lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel [the journeying women – from who Ephraim, the seed of Joseph, is born in this generation of God’s people] of weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.
16 Thus says the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: for your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
17 And there is hope in your end, says the LORD, that your children shall come again to their own border.
18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; You [LORD] have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn [shuwb] you me, and I shall be turned [shuwb – returned]; for you are the LORD my God.
19 Surely after that I was turned [shuwb – returned], I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spoke against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, says the LORD.
21 Set you up waymarks, make you high heaps: set your heart toward the highway, even the way which you went: turn again [shuwb – return], O virgin of Israel, turn again [shuwb] to these your cities.
22 How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the LORD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
23 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless you, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.

In Job 34:8 the word ‘arach is used to tell us Job represents God’s people at large, here with Him in Hell, under attack from froward false accuser doing the work of Satan. As we know, the one speaking is named Elihu, meaning He is God (unknown, veiled in flesh, giving understanding, showing the way out).

Job 34
1 Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
2 Hear my words, O you wise men; and give ear unto me, you that have knowledge.
3 For the ear tries words, as the mouth tastes meat.
4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
5 For Job has said, I am righteous: and God has taken away my judgment.
6 Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
7 What man is like Job, who drinks up scorning like water?
8 Which goes [‘arach – who are wayfaring men] in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men.
9 For he has said, It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
10 Therefore hearken unto me you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways [‘orach – according to the path he travels].
12 Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
13 Who has given him a charge over the earth? or who has disposed the whole world?
14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
16 If now you have understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
17 Shall even he that hates right govern? and will you condemn him that is most just?
18 Is it fit to say to a king, You are wicked? and to princes, You are ungodly?
19 How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he sees all his goings [tsa’ad – his steps].
22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23 For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
24 He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.
25 Therefore he knows their works, and he overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
26 He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
27 Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:
28 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
29 When he gives quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
32 That which I see not teach you me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
33 Should it be according to your mind? he will recompense it, whether you refuse, or whether you choose; and not I: therefore speak what you know.
34 Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
35 Job has spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
36 My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.
37 For he adds rebellion unto his sin, he claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God.

As we know, Job, as God’s people at large, continues talking, speaking His own words, going His own way, until he first understands He is hearing God speak (as if out of a whirlwind), and then, silencing himself, sees Him.

Job 42
1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
2 I know that you can do every thing, and that no thought can be withheld from you.
3 [You said to me,] “Who is he that hides counsel without knowledge?” therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 [You said to me,] “Hear, I beseech you, and I will speak: I will demand of you, and declare you unto me.”
5 I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye sees you.
6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

In the context of the returning king and God’s people as men wayfaring with Him unaware, Jeremiah uses the word ‘arach twice, in Jeremiah 9:2 & 14:8.

Jeremiah 8
17 For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, says the LORD.
18 When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.
19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
21 For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment has taken hold on me.
22 Is there no balm in Gilead [is there no healing in this mountain of testimony]; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

Jeremiah 9
1 Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people [they are slain by bites of the serpents among them, because they refused the healing that is in this word, and in refusing they don’t take the path out of death and Hell, the way: by looking, seeing, the one, the son of man, the Father has Lifted, as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness]!
2 Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men [‘arach]; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.
3 And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, says the LORD.
4 Take you heed every one of his neighbor, and trust you not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will walk with slanders.
5 And they will deceive every one his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.
6 Your habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, says the LORD.
7 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaks deceit: one speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in heart he lays his wait.
9 Shall I not visit them for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

The one other time ‘arach appears is in 2 Samuel 12:4, a chapter filled with allegories involving David, representing the king line falling and rising again, and ending in the final crowning of David. In the chapter, we’re told of a child born out of the sins of the kings, who dies and is replaced by Solomon. This first child represents the corrupt leadership now tyrannically ruling God’s people, in church and nation: politicians, false prophets, and false teachers. These men must be taken out of the way (path), because their ways are the ways of death and Hell, and they will hold the world there until they are removed (rendered meaningless {as a worthless girdle}, and therefore not followed).

The following, ending with Jeremiah 31:1 & 2, is from the post of 28 June 2021 (the [[ ]] showing today’s additions):
Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

The above is from Jeremiah 13:13 and comes as the LORD describes His people, upon who He’s sent His preparation. He says it’s as girdle hid and brought out in this time when it should produce fruit, but instead, it’s worthless. The cause is what he speaks of above: their leaders, teachers, and advisers aren’t listening and rather are misleading His people astray. As we know, this is the dilemma of the moment, the pride of these men thinking they know better how to rule God’s people and the world. Therefore he says, in the following verse, He “will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.”

In the next chapter, after describing the resulting dearth and the failed eyes of His people, Jeremiah, admitting He is with them, asks why He isn’t working to save them. The obvious point is this is His saving them, letting all their leaders, teachers, and advisers destroy themselves in the circular firing squad of self-contradiction and endless argument. They are those who refuse God’s leadership, teaching, and advice, in who the people blindly put their trust, whose prescription is fantasy, making the actual disease (ignorance) incurable. It is against these men His word comes as His sword removing them, reversing the famine, and healing the sick.

Jeremiah 13
1 Thus says the LORD unto me, Go and get you a linen girdle, and put it upon your loins, and put it not in water.
2 So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
3 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,
4 Take the girdle that you have got, which is upon your loins, and arise, go to Euphrates [the time and place of fruit], and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
5 So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.
6 And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded you to hide there.
7 Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
8 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
9 Thus says the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.
11 For as the girdle cleaves to the loins of a man, so have I caused [by this preparation by my words and ways] to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
12 Therefore you shall speak unto them this word; Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto you, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
13 Then shall you say unto them, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
15 Hear you, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD has spoken.
16 Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness [ignorance], and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains [the ignorance of those whose leading, teaching, and advising, are elevated by the world, above God’s], and, while you look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness [the mass delusion now ruling and oppressing the world].
17 But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD’s flock is carried away captive.
18 Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
19 The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.
20 Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?
21 What will you say when he shall punish you? for you have taught them to be captains, and as chief over you: shall not sorrows take you, as a woman in travail?
22 And if you say in your heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts discovered, and your heels made bare.
23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may you also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
24 Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.
25 This is your lot, the portion of your measures from me, says the LORD; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
26 Therefore will I discover your skirts upon your face, that your shame may appear.
27 I have seen your adulteries, and your neighing, the lewdness of your whoredom, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto you, O Jerusalem! will you not be made clean? when shall it once be?

Jeremiah 14
1 The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.
2 Judah mourns, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground [ignorant and brought down]; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.
3 And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water [found not this living water]; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.
4 Because the ground is chapped, for there was no rain [no word of God from heaven] in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.
5 Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass [no life in the earth, because of the famine come from the drought].
6 And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.
7 O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do you it for your name’s sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against you.
8 O the hope of Israel, the savior thereof in time of trouble, why should you be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man [[‘arach]] that turns aside to tarry for a night?
9 Why should you be as a man astonished, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet you, O LORD, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; leave us not.
10 [The answer to the above questions] Thus says the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
11 Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.
12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.
13 Then said I, Ah, LORD God! behold, the prophets say unto them, You shall not see the sword, neither shall you have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.
14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of naught, and the deceit of their heart.
15 Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
17 Therefore you shall say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.
19 Have you utterly rejected Judah? has your soul loathed Zion? why have you smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!
20 We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against you.
21 Do not abhor us, for your name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, break not your covenant with us.
22 Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? are not you he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon you: for you have made all these things.

Friends, the problem is the false prophets and false teachers among God’s people refuse and resist (satan) His prescription and cure while telling them everything is fine and they are saved. The truth is they are being destroyed and sitting still, letting it happen. These men’s lies in God’s name are the chains that keep God’s people from being born again and rising with Him in victory over death, whose shadow already covers the earth and all humanity.

The word “girdle” is from the fourteen times used word ‘ezowr, “from 246; something girt; a belt, also a band:–girdle.” The word it’s from is the twice-used word ‘aziqqiym (246), “a variation for 2131; manacles:–chains.” It’s a variation of the seven times used word ziyqah (#2131), meaning “what leaps forth, i.e. flash of fire, or a burning arrow; also (from the original sense of the root) a bond.”

The two times ‘aziqqiym appears are in Jeremiah 40:1 & 4, there speaking of the chains on Jeremiah’s hands (work) when carried away into Babylon. As we know, the name Jeremiah means Jehovah rising, and with His rising raising His people; the latter aspect speaking of the object of His work, which was chained and carried into confusion (Babylon).

When he is released (Jehovah first rising), he initially goes to stay with Gedaliah (Jehovah is great), who the king of confusion (Babylon) made governor over Judah (the leaders of God’s people). He is released from Ramah by Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard; his name meaning he is the seed of the false prophets (inheriting their corrupted ideas and ways).

Jeremiah 40
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains [‘aziqqiym] among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
2 And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD your God has pronounced this evil upon this place.
3 Now the LORD has brought it, and done according as he has said: because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.
4 And now, behold, I loose you this day from the chains [‘aziqqiym] which were upon your hand. If it seem good unto you to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto you: but if it seem ill unto you to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before you: whither it seems good and convenient for you to go, thither go.
5 Now while he was not yet gone back [shuwnb – returned], he said, Go back [return] also to Gedaliah [Jehovah is great] the son of Ahikam [my brother {Jeremiah – Jehovah in Him} has risen] the son of Shaphan [from his hiding in the Rock], whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go where-so-ever it seems convenient unto you to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.
6 Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam [my brother {Jeremiah – Jehovah in Him} has risen] to Mizpah [watchtower – speaking of seeing into the distance: this now present future]; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Jeremiah only speaks of Ramah one other time, earlier in Jeremiah 31:15 [[see above]], as he speaks of the voice of Rachel (the mother of Joseph and Benjamin) heard lamenting not having children.

Jeremiah 31
1 At the same time, says the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
2 Thus says the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

Proverbs 15
23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
24 The way [‘orach – the path] of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from Hell beneath.
25 The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
27 He that is greedy of gain troubles his own house; but he that hates gifts shall live.
28 The heart of the righteous studies to answer: but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart: and a good report makes the bones fat.
31 The ear that hears the reproof of life abides among the wise.
32 He that refuses instruction despises his own soul: but he that hears reproof gets understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility.

Proverbs 2
6 For the LORD gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
7 He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 He keeps the paths [‘orach] of judgment, and preserves the way of his saints.
9 Then shall you understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto your soul;
11 Discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you:
12 To deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaks froward things;
13 Who leave the paths [‘orach] of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 Whose ways [‘orach] are crooked, and they froward [twist and pervert truth] in their paths:
16 To deliver you from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flatters with her words;
17 Which forsakes the guide of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God.
18 For her house inclines unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths [‘orach] of life.
20 That you may walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths [‘orach] of the righteous.
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

Psalms 19
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handy-work.
2 Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he set a tabernacle for the sun [this new day],
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoice as a strong man to run a race [‘orach].
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is your servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his [own] errors? cleanse you me from secret faults.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
