And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, “Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid you.”
As we well know, the name Jonah (like the name John) means dove, as in the sign of the end reached, which sign is his open mouth calling all to escape the coming overthrow, by repentance: turning from their evil and its resulting violence.
The “second time” refers us to the first time the word of the LORD came to Jonah, from which (the LORD presence manifested therein) he instead fled to Tarshish. Tarshish (Tarshiysh) is said to be an “epithet of a merchant vessel (as if for or from that port).” The LORD, in context, in the name Tarshiysh, leads us to the once used word tara’, meaning a doorkeeper (in the temple), and the word siys (suws) meaning, “to be bright, i.e. cheerful:–be glad, X greatly, joy, make mirth, rejoice [in the realization of the LORD’s presence with us, in us].”
Jonah is an allegory relating to the true prophets to whom the LORD speaks directly, who are given the true signs of the end, and are therefore the doorkeepers of the kingdom, opening it by their mouth, after receiving the word from the LORD’s presence, which opens the sealed book.
The idea is of Jonah trying to circumvent the process, attempting to reach its end, by being silent in the ship (the church as an institution) in the period we know as Abram’s (Abraham’s) “deep sleep” (Genesis 15:12). He is later, in the ship, awakened and cast out of the church into the sea (the people at large, into whom the preaching and teaching of the institutions flow).
When he is (cast into the agitated waters), the surface of the waters (the superficial understanding adopted as dogma) are calmed, with the mariners (the ignorant preachers), and the ship remaining.
We are then told of the “fish:” the agitation now below the surface (where deep understanding is darkened), outside the church institution, which swallows Jonah (the signs of the end reached with Him). The whale which swallowed Jonah and the LORD, into the belly of hell, the belly of the earth, are the wide-open mouths of dragons (tan & tanniyn): men as whales and serpents, sea monsters whose mouths, speaking lying vanities, forsaking the LORD’s mercy, and become the gates holding all there (in death and hell).
Jonah, and the LORD with him, in him, to begin His preparation of the place spoken of in John 14, are awakened from death, in hell, to combat the words of these evil men, silencing them through incontrovertible, Christ-centered opposition, and thereby, as gatekeepers, open it, and we depart into the kingdom of heaven.
Jonah 1
1 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah [the dove, the only sign given] the son of Amittai [My truth], saying,
2 Arise, go to Nineveh [God’s perpetual children], that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me [paniym – against My presence and truth realized].
3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish [seeking to reach the end without the process, the corrective experience, and away] from the presence [paniym] of the LORD, and went down [yarad – descending] to Joppa [the “brightness” in him, as the sun going down]; and he found a ship [the churches housing the dead body of Christ] going to Tarshish [the time when the door is again opened by the brightness returned]: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence [paniym] of the LORD.
4 But the LORD sent out a great wind [the spirit of error and confusion] into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest [ca’ar] in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. [This part of the allegory is later resurrected in the story of Paul of Tarsus {the same name, while thought to be different places, which spiritually they are not} as brightness coming again through him, and the eventual self-destruction of the church institution, as a ship in a storm running itself aground where it is dashed in pieces by the proud waves of men’s words, continually spoken against God’s authorized word.]
5 Then the mariners [mallach – only appearing three other times, all in Ezekiel 27 speaking of those in the ships of Tarshish, who lament the ruin of the false church {the false rock, Tyrus}, as a ship broken up] were afraid, and cried every man unto his god [the idols each created and put in the LORD’s place], and cast forth the wares [kliy – the things men prepared, against the LORD and His plan] that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down [yarad – in the church institution, descended away from this understanding] into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep [radam].
6 So the shipmaster [rab – those upon whom this word has come “abundantly”] came to him, and said unto him, What meanest you, O sleeper [radam]? arise, call upon your God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
8 Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray you, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is your occupation? and whence come you? what is your country? and of what people are you?
9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which has made the sea and the dry land.
10 Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why have you done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.
11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto you, that the sea may be calm [shathaq] unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous [ca’ar].
12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest [ca’ar – from where the LORD’s voice is heard {Job 38:1 & 40:6}, and from the midst of which comes the wheel within wheel {Ezekiel 1:4}] is upon you.
13 Nevertheless the men rowed [chathar – to force a way of passage] hard to bring [shuwb] it to the land [yabbashah – dry ground, without this word of the LORD]; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous [ca’ar] against them. [Amos 9:2 Though they dig {chathar} into hell, thence shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:]
14 Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech you, O LORD, we beseech you, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for you, O LORD, have done as it pleased you.
15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging [za’aph]. [Isaiah 30:30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard {in the sea}, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation {za’aph} of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest {zerem}, and hailstones. Habakkuk 3:10 The mountains {the corrupted institutions of church and state} saw you, and they trembled: the overflowing {zerem} of the water passed by {‘abar – bringing us from death into life}: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.]
16 Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows [neder – Nahum {the Comforter} 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publishes peace! O Judah {My elect remnant}, keep your solemn feasts, perform your vows {neder}: for the wicked shall no more {yacaph – shall no more interfere} pass through you {‘abar – with the quickening process}; he is utterly cut off {karath – separated from you}.].
17 Now the LORD had prepared [manah – telling of] a great fish [dag] to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish [dag] three days and three nights.
For those who remember, we know the word manah means, “to weigh out; by implication, to allot or constitute officially; also to enumerate or enroll:–appoint, count, number, prepare, set, tell.” It (manah), speaking of the preparation, prominently appears in Jeremiah 33:13, saying it is a time when we pass again under the hand of the one “telling,” preparing, us, and, by His long-suffering, of the promised conclusion in its completion, when our mouths are again opened, speaking the words of the preparation.
Before looking at this chapter (Jeremiah 33), the following, in context, ending with Isaiah 29, is the entire post of 16 January 2018, with today’s additions in double brackets.
For it Became Him, for Whom are all Things, and by Whom are all Things, in Bringing Many Sons unto Glory, to Make the Captain of Their Salvation Perfect Through Sufferings.
Continuing our discussion of the Divine Character, cultivated in us by education and correction of errors, leading our natural man into perfection by reconciling us to God’s. This is the process we have been discussing, while demonstrating it in the experience, as God’s glory is revealed to us, in purpose and plan, and the reconciliation becomes apparent as the same exact glory is reproduced in us.
Today a discussion the LORD’s being three days and nights is the belly of the earth, as Jonah was in the belly of the whale, and the reality of this being to explain what appears in the title above, saying, “in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”
(Before we begin, I am going to answer the question that will assuredly be asked: No, I do not think Jonah was ever actually swallowed by a whale. I know the words used in recording his experience are necessary to describe the LORD’s experience in suffering and being made perfect, in bringing many children to glory. If this offends you, please, just go on your way.)
To understand what occurred, through what we now know was not three days and nights but rather occurred over several thousand years, we begin with understanding what is translated as the “great fish,” in Jonah, and as “whale’s,” when the LORD speaks of it, being as it will in His time in death [[in the dead carcass of the body of Christ]].
The Hebrew word translated “fish” is dag, said to mean prolific, and timid; from the word, meaning to be anxious. The idea is in the way they are scattered, in fear and by agitating their tail, (in self-agitation). In a deeper sense – it is this tendency that causes them to be easily caught in the nets of fishermen. We see this in Jonah himself, fleeing from the mission God had given Him, lacking the necessary fortitude and character [[without understanding being timid]].
This last aspect gives us our glimpse of the LORD’s purpose, to suffer with man, in fact in man, longsuffering, to remove the traits we are shown in both the fish and Jonah. The Hebrew words used to tell us the LORD “prepared a great” fish, are manah godowl, literally meaning a large number. It is speaking of the people of Nineveh, caught in a snare of their time and events.
Ecclesiastes 9:12 tells of this net, in which Jonah and our generation find ourselves.
Ecclesiastes 9
12 For man also knows not his time: as the fishes [dag] that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly [[pith’own]] upon them.
13 This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
14 There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
15 Now there was found in it a poor [[without worldly power or position]] wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered [[zakar – like Joseph was not remembered by the butler {meaning cupbearer, the term implying he is also a doorkeeper}, and was left to suffer in prison, until the time of the LORD’s rescue, and he {doorkeeper} did “mention” {zakar} him]] that same poor man.
16 Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom [[because he is without worldly power or position]] is despised [[bazah]], and his words are not heard [[shama’ – not heard as the LORD’s voice, and not obeyed]]. [[Isaiah 30:15 For thus says the LORD GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning {shuwbah – turning to the LORD} and rest {nachath} shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and you would not.]]
17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet [[nachath]] more than the cry of him that rules [[has worldly power and position]] among fools.
18 Wisdom is better [[towb]] than weapons of war: but one sinner destroys much good [[towb]].
These same fish are spoken of in Habakkuk 1:14, in a passage beginning in verse 5, where the LORD is telling of the work He will work in our time, and that it will not be believed, even though I am telling you of it as it is happening. It speaks of the Chaldeans as those who come upon us; and, as we know, these are those who use their words to manipulate people and move the masses into doing their [[evil]] will. We are told in the beginning verses of the chapter, of the condition, the void in which these men are able to catch the masses in their nets, as it is written in verses 14 thru 17.
Habakkuk 1
1 The burden which Habakkuk [[meaning to embrace, as in take hold of this understanding, as in the rays of light coming from His hand here upon us]] the prophet did see [[as the LORD sees]].
2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and you will not hear! even cry out unto you of violence, and you will not save!
3 Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment does never go forth: for the wicked does compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceeds.
5 Behold you among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously [[at why these things are seemingly unanswered by Me]]: for I will work a work in your days which you will not believe, though it [[by a man]] be told you [[as in the word manah: passing under the hand {work} of the one telling this]].
6 For, lo, I raise up [[into everlasting condemnation]] the Chaldeans, that bitter [[mar – whose waters are bitter]] and hasty [[mahar]] nation [[who haven’t known Me]], which shall march through the breadth of the land [[‘erets – all the earth]], to [[in Satan’s name]] possess the dwelling-places [[God’s people]] that are not theirs.
7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle [[whose full understanding proceeds from themselves: their corrupt and insane opinions that contradict truth and reality]] that hastes to eat [[and swallow their prey, the earth into the belly of hell]]].
9 They shall come all for violence: their faces [[paniym – the presence of Satan manifested in them]] shall sup up as [[mgammah – only used here, meaning this is that swallowing {gama’ – as in Job 39:24 He swallows {gama’} the ground {‘erets – the earth} with fierceness and rage: neither believes he that it is the sound of the trumpet {calling all God’s people to gather to Him, here in hell}.}]] the east wind [[the LORD’s spirit into hell]], and they shall [[there]] gather the captivity [[those before possessed by Satan]] as the sand.
10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust [[their word that are the ruin of the earth]], and [[by deception]] take it.
11 Then [[realizing their end has come]] shall his mind [[ruwch – spirit of deception]] change [[chalaph – saying they will, with the same means they just destroyed the earth, rebuild it]], and he shall pass over [[‘abar – into this time of renewal, into this awakening]], and offend [[‘asham – claiming they are innocent of destroy the earth they have been found guilty of destroying]], imputing this his power unto his god [[deception: the idols they created, put in the LORD’s place, and call by His name]] .
12 Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them [[the wicked]] for judgment; and, O mighty God, you have established them [[the deceived]] for correction.
13 You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and can not look on iniquity: wherefore look you upon them that deal treacherously, and hold your tongue [[not forcing us to speak your word]] when the wicked devour the man that is more righteous [[who is speaking Your word]] than he?
14 And make men [[agitated and in tribulation]] as the fishes [[dag]] of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they [[the wicked who possess the minds and bodies of God’s people]] rejoice and are glad.
16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
17 Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
When verse 9 above tells us these men “sup up” the east wind, it is speaking of the Divine Impulse they are unaware of, meaning they are being prepared for God’s purpose and plan, and are completely unaware of it. In Jonah, we are told of four things God “prepared:” the great fish (the masses not knowing their right hand from their left,) the gourd (the institutions of government in church and state,) the worm (the vermin infesting them,) and the east wind (the Spirit of God.)
When the LORD tells of the wind, speaking of the Holy Spirit, saying (in John 3:8) it [[He]] moves and we are unable to see where it [[He]] comes from or where it [[He]] goes, He is telling of man being always unaware of the purpose until after it has happened, blind to it as it occurs, seeing it in/with the change of the new birth [[a restored sound mind]].
When the LORD speaks of the time in the belly of the earth He is speaking about His Spirit being at work in man, in the quick and the dead, working always toward the expected end of resurrection. This is speaking of the LORD, as shown in the pattern of Moses, as it is written in Hebrew 11, choosing to suffer with His people, with them and in them, reconciling the world unto himself, and rising from/in the dead to do so.
Hebrews 11
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper [[asteio – without strength, meaning he was yet without strength, like chacer ‘elohiym, “made a little lower,” Psalms 8:5]] child [[this saying, in Exodus 2:2 uses the word towb, meaning this innocent state, a child-like mind ready to be prepared, was good, also telling us he was vulnerable to the attacks on his mind by the enemy – the statement is followed by telling us he was put in an ark, which was meant to keep out, protect and defend him from, the waters of Egypt, the waters below]]; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment [[to kill all the children in this way]].
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter [[oppressing and killing the innocent]];
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction [[sugkakoucheo – meaning to be affected together with those being held down]] with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ [[the LORD choosing his flesh to manifest His presence, long-suffering therein for our salvation]] greater riches than the treasures in Egypt [[the worldly rewards of those who, by deception, gain power]]: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him [[Jehovah with him, in him]] who is invisible.
28 Through faith he kept the Passover [[as commanded by the ONE never seen and only known in the experience]], and the sprinkling of blood [[this word that effectually works to change the mind of those who receive it as the LORD’s, in this necessary sacrifice {removing from it ourselves} sent upon all]], lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch [[affect]] them.
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea [[the final Passover, the baptism of this word of God]], as by dry land [[not being affected by the waters below]]: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned [[in their own waters, their own erroneous understanding, the darkness to which they are forever chained]].
The Greek word translated “whale’s,” used by the LORD, is ketos, and is only used this one time. It is said to be from the word chasma, another one-time used word, rendered “gulf,” in telling of [[the uncrossable]] place between [[heaven and hell, knowing the LORD’s presence and separated from it]] the living and the dead. It appears that ketos is actually a shortened derivative of the word katecho, a compound word meaning to hold down, as we are told of Jonah being held down, (in the belly of hell – sheol, the place where the dead reside). It [[katecho]] is the word used by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:6, speaking of the those who (“withholds”) are holding us down. We’re told of these men being revealed [[uncovered in this apocalypse, this greatest ever event happening while all remain ignorant of its magnitude, the greatest ever shaking that is now shaking even idea {false opinion} of man, so what isn’t destroyed in the shaken remains]] and consumed by the word of the LORD’s mouth, and the brightness of His coming.
Jonah 2
1 Then Jonah [[the dove, the sign of the end reached]] prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s [[dagah – the agitation of the earth, now turned into the great tribulation]] belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of my affliction [[tsarah – the great tribulation, Jacob’s troubles]] unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell [[sh’owl – sheol where the dead are housed waiting for this moment, this promised and expected end]] cried I, and you heard my voice.
3 For you have cast me into the [[darkened]] deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all your billows and your waves [[the pride of men in position of power]] passed over [[‘abar]] me [[bringing me from death into life again]].
4 Then I said, I am cast out of your sight. [[here in the waters below, now prepared to overthrow them]]; yet I will look again toward your holy temple [[realizing it is my mind in which You dwell]].
5 The waters [[below]] compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds [[those who’ve overgrown the neglected garden]] were wrapped about my head [[deadening my mind]].
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains [[the degeneration of the institutions of church and state]]; the earth with her bars was about me forever: yet have you brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
7 When my soul [[‘atath – covered in the shroud of death]] fainted within me I remembered [[zakar]] the LORD: and my prayer came in unto you, into your holy temple [[Your presence risen again in my mind, awakening my soul to my identity with/in You]].
8 They that observe lying vanities [[the worthless creation of men who never knew You]] forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto you with the voice of thanksgiving; I [[now risen with You]] will pay that that I have vowed [[and open my mouth as commanded: declaring Your presence with us, in us]]. Salvation is [[yshuw’ah – Jesus, Jehovah’s Salvation in the flesh He has chosen]] of the LORD [[Jehovah]].
10 And the LORD spoke unto the fish [[dag – the open mouths of the ignorant powers of church and state]], and it vomited out Jonah [[the sign of the end, calling all to repentance from the works of the dead]] upon the dry land [[yabbashah – the earth now, where this word of the LORD isn’t publicly heard]].
Hosea 13:15 tells us plainly of the east wind as the wind (Spirit) of the LORD, that dries up the corrupted water [[below]], the teaching and advice of the wicked, while the LORD is redeeming us from death, as He destroys the grave (sheol). In this we see the obvious: the words and advice of the Godless hold us down in the place of the dead. Luke 16:26, and beside all this, between us and them there is a great gulf [[chasma]] fixed: so that they which would pass from here to there cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [[without changing their minds and closing their mouths]] would come from there.
Hosea 13
1 When Ephraim spoke trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal [the idols of the confused world], he died.
2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images [[maccekah – what covering]] of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves [[the idols men created, put in the LORD’s place, and call by His name]].
3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passes away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind [[ca’ar – the wheel within a wheel, from where the LORD’s voice is heard]] out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney [[that is dispersed and disappears]].
4 Yet I am the [[same]] LORD your God from the land [[‘erets – the earth]] of Egypt [[in this pattern of the double strait, the oppression of the institution of church and state]], and you shall know no god but me: for there is no savior beside me.
5 I did know you in the wilderness [[the place into which you are freed while still being desolate as a result of the abomination your leaders created and put in My place]], in the land [[‘erets]] of great drought [[the earth where this word of God is still not publicly heard]].
6 According to their pasture [[the corrupt ideas of men, which they have consumed and from where they received the falsely so-called strength]], so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore [[proud of the false things they know]] have they forgotten me.
7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion [[roaring, boldly proclaiming this truth and it from the LORD present]]: as a leopard [[unchanging]] by the way will I observe them:
8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart [[pulling into pieces their false understanding]], and there will I devour them like a lion [[speaking this word of the LORD, manifesting His presence]]: the wild beast shall tear them.
9 O Israel, you have destroyed yourself; but in me is your help [[‘ezer – the same as ‘azar]].
10 I will be your king: where is any other that may save you in all your cities? and your judges of whom you said, Give me a king and princes?
11 I gave you a king [[as your desired Saul]] in my anger, and took him away in my wrath.
12 The iniquity of Ephraim [[the last generation of God’s people at large, who become the first of the new creation]] is bound up; his sin is hid.
13 The sorrows of a travailing woman [[ignorant of the man child, the ONE BODY of Christ she is bringing forth]] shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
14 I will ransom [[padah – redeem]] them from the power of the grave [[sh’owl – hell]]; I will redeem [[ga’al]] them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave [[sh’owl – hell]], I will be your destruction: repentance shall be hid from my eyes.
15 Though he [[Ephraim]] be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind [[this Spirit of the LORD]] shall come, the wind [[the unseen Spirit, only known by the things it moves]] of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his [[old Ephraim’s corrupt words]] spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
16 Samaria [[corrupted Ephraim]] shall become desolate; for she has rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
Hosea 14
1 O Israel [[Ephraim, God’s totally corrupted people in this last generation of the old heaven and earth now become hell wherein all are dead]], return [[shuwb]] unto the LORD your God; for you have fallen by your iniquity.
2 Take with you [[His]] words, and turn [[shuwb – return]] to the LORD [[the ONE God you left]]: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips [[speaking Your word as received, as commanded]].
3 Asshur [[the communists mixed among us]] shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, You are our gods: for in you the fatherless finds mercy.
4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for my anger is turned away from him.
5 I will be as the dew [[this word that now appears on the earth, at the beginning of this new day: time of light and life]] unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon [[as purity seen on high: the LORD’s righteousness exalted, His voice heard above all others]].
6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell [[the things perceived]] as Lebanon [[shall be as purity and purifying: by which, with our enlightened minds, we again see the LORD]].
7 They that dwell under his [[the LORD’s]] shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent [[the things they perceive: comprehend]] thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon [[changing, purifying, their raised minds]].
8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have [[here and now]] heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree [[upright, risen into abundant life]]. From me [[Jehovah with us, in us]] is your fruit found.
9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors [[refusing this word and choosing to remain in darkness, death, and hell]] shall fall therein.
Matthew 7
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing [[the covering that is removed in this apocalypse]], but [[it is now seen that]] inwardly they are ravening wolves [[who’ve torn the dead body of Christ into pieces]].
16 You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns [[misleaders]], or figs of thistles [[deceivers]]?
17 Even so every good tree [[from the present LORD Himself]] brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree [[from his corrupted mind]] brings forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the [[hell]] fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.
21 Not every one that says unto me, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied [[our many lies we claim are truth]] in your name? and in your name have cast out devils [[Satan casting out Satan, consuming himself thinking he is saving himself]]? and in your name done many wonderful works [[lying signs and wonders, after which the LORD comes with His brightness and uncovers them in this apocalypse]]?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and [[instead of doing their own works]] does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock [[who is Christ, from whom flows this word of the LORD]]:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock [[who is the LORD with us, in us speaking and working]].
26 And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not [[loving as I love]], shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes [[those claiming they know the word of God and teach it with ignorance of the Spirit therein]].
Habakkuk 1:5 above tells of the wonderful work the LORD is doing in this day, and how men refuse to believe it, even though it is being explained so even a fool such as I am is able to understand it. This verse is quoted in Acts 13:41, where we are told it is a man speaking, as we are told in Hebrews 12 of the voice that is shaking heaven and earth, the same we are told of in Hebrews 2 where the title is found.
Acts 13
32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers [[referring to Isaiah 52:7, the passage giving this passage context, saying “5 Now therefore, what have I here, says the LORD, that my people is taken away for naught? they that rule over them make them to howl, says the LORD; and my name {identity} continually every day is blasphemed. 6 Therefore my people shall know my name {identity}: therefore they shall know in that day that I Am {here and now} he that does speak: behold, it is I. 7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that {here and now} brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Your God reigns! 8 Your watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing {repeating these words as received}: for they shall see eye to eye {seein as the LORD sees}, when the LORD shall bring again Zion {His rule over the minds of men}. 9 Break forth into joy {realizing His presence with us, in us}, sing together {repeating these word He has given us}, you waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD has comforted {led into all truth} his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem. 10 The LORD has made bare his holy arm {His work and power} in the eyes of all the nations {who haven’t known Him}; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. 11 Depart you {from the communists and communism}, depart you, go you out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go you out of the midst of her; be you clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.]],
33 God has fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he has raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second Psalm, You are my Son, this day have I begotten you.
34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David [[correcting and not destroying us]].
35 Wherefore he says also in another psalm, You shall not suffer your Holy One to see corruption.
36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 Behold, you despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which you shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
This same marvelous work is spoken of in Isaiah 29, where the LORD is speaking to Ariel, meaning the lion and strength of God, which had become corrupted and whom the LORD rescues. We are here told of the condition coming as the spirit of deep sleep has come upon the prophets and rulers, and this being as drunkenness.
Isaiah 29 [[Speaking of the condition and state of mind that exists now, which all the falsely so-called enlightened deny.]]
9 Stay [[stop]] yourselves, and wonder [[what you are experiencing]]; cry you out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 For the LORD has poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep [[that spoken of in Genesis 15:12]], and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers [[the institutions of church and state]], the seers has he covered [[kacah – covering them with their own corrupted understanding, with affinity to maccekah in Hosea 13:2 above]].
11 And [[by their corrupted understanding]] the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he [[knowing the book is sealed]] says, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he [[not knowing the book is sealed and that the falsely so-called learned are speaking lies]] says, I am not learned.
13 Wherefore the LORD said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart [[their understanding minds]] far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of [[corrupt]] men:
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous [[eye-opening]] work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their [[misleading]] counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark [[to make their ignorance cover all the earth]], and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?
16 Surely your turning of things upside down [[hophek – only used here, meaning “an upset, i.e. (abstract) perversity]] shall be esteemed as the potter’s [[yatsar]] clay [[reason to reform it as and when He desires]]: for shall the work say of him that made [[‘asah]] it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed [[yester]] say of him that framed [[yatsar]] it, He had no understanding?
17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon [[purity on high, where understanding should be found and isn’t]] shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest [[of upright {Godly} men]]?
18 And in that day [[here and now]] shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity [[‘ophel – a few seeing as the LORD sees in the darkness: ignorance]], and [[and they shall come]] out of darkness [[from among the ignorant]].
19 The meek [[those not teaching or preaching words that destroy {make ignorant} the minds of God’s people]] also shall increase their joy in [[the realization of the presence of]] the LORD, and the poor [[those without worldly power or position]] among men shall rejoice in [[the same realization of]] the Holy One of Israel [[the purified flesh in which the LORD chooses to manifest His presence]].
20 For the terrible one [[‘ariyts – the “powerful or tyrannical” who the powerless have feared]] is brought to naught, and the scorner [[luwts – who have interpreted and taught their untrue opinions]] is consumed [[by their own pride and refusal to be corrected]], and all that watch for iniquity [[waiting for the tribulation these false prophets and false teachers have told all would come]] are cut off [[karath – ended by their own choices, the krisis {condemnation} choosing darkness when the Light has come]]:
21 That make a man an offender for a word [[that doesn’t agree with their erroneous opinions: misinterpretations of the sealed book, which they must deny was ever closed]], and lay a snare [[which is come upon all the earth]] for him [[the Holy One of Israel: those who receive the LORD whose comes in this manner: in the flesh He has chosen and prepared]] that reproves [[corrects and sets in order: sanctifying those who receive Him]] in the gate [[the way out of death and hell, into heaven in the presence of the LORD with us, in us]], and [[the wicked]] turn aside the just for a thing of naught [[their corrupt opinions, darkness to which their pride chains them]]. [[see 2 Peter 2 & Jude 1 below]]
22 Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham [[referring to Genesis 15:7 And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought you out of Ur {‘owr – “flames;” out of the fires of hell} of the Chaldees {caused by those who use their deceitful words to manipulation and mislead the world into doing there evil will – just as the communists now call all into their known utopia: dystopia which is the deepest and darkest part of hell where we are all equal in misery and are ruled by those who luxuriously feed off of our toiling dead flesh}, to give you this land {‘erets – this new earth} to inherit it.]], concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed [[but will reach the expected end I have promised]], neither shall his face now wax pale [[he shall not faint in the work, the course, I have set before them]].
23 But when he sees his children [[the children the LORD has given me, who, awakening from their deep sleep, are for signs and wonders to Israel]], the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify [[declare Holy]] my name [[My identity manifested]], and sanctify [[declare Holy]] the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel [[who is evidently with us, in us]].
24 They also that erred [[ta’ah – vacillated, because of the mass apostacy, of which all are ignorant]] in spirit [[claiming they are the LORD’s while rejecting His presence with them, in us]] shall come to understanding [[this is the truth of His promised return to sight, seen of those who’ve received Him and not by the world which rejects him, because their deeds are evil]], and they that murmured [[who’ve scoffed at our return to Him]] shall learn [[rightly ordered]] doctrine [[here given line upon line, precept upon precept]].
2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [secretly, from their own imaginations, create lies] shall bring in damnable [apoleia – that cause them and those who follow their ways to perish] heresies, even denying the LORD that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction [apoleia – perdition].
2 And many shall follow their pernicious [apoleia – the ways that lead to their own destruction] ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of [as it is this day].
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned [fraudulent] words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation [apoleia – perishing, perdition] slumbers not [because they are awakened “to shame and everlasting contempt”].
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness [ignorance], to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom [flames] and Gomorrah [ruin] into ashes condemned them with an overthrow [of their waters below], making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation [the spirit of Satan possessing them and in them speaking the words] of the wicked:
As we’ve seen, in our reverence for God is found the riches hidden in Him, His knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. This is the mystery of God manifested in our flesh, the Father in us, and we as His ONE BODY are sons speaking His words, His grace: these treasures freely given.
Friends, we are witnessing the collapse of the corrupt culture, built on lies (intentional and in ignorance, recklessly misleading, which is evil – and if God were to destroy all evil, who would be left in the world) that resulted in mass confusion, and is now destroying itself by following its own delusions. They have set the world on fire, and are taking great joy in watching it burn (talk about bad choices; they would rather have power in hell than to repent and join Him in heaven).
2 Peter 3
1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds [dianoia] by way of remembrance:
2 That you may be mindful [mnaomai] of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the LORD and Saviour:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall [have] come in the last days scoffers [not believing the LORD is present with us, in us], walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep [into death], all things continue as they were from the beginning of the [old] creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God [this same word of God] the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved [for this appointed time of the LORD’s just war against the darkness] unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition [apoleia] of ungodly [asebes] men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is [always with us, hidden only in men’s ignorance] longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise [rhoizedon – a crash, the voice causing the shaking and collapse of the house that refuses to obey the voice of the Father], and the elements [stoicheion – the corrupt ideas of men] shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation [in which we look for and find the LORD] and godliness [eusebeia – reverence of God, in the mystery of His presence manifested],
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements [stoicheion] shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our LORD is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned [not know knowing the book is sealed] and unstable [as the pattern of the son of perdition, as was Reuben “unstable as water”, who put himself in His father’s place] wrestle, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction [apoleia – perdition].
Jude 1
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence [seeking the LORD’s will: in His presence] to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith [believing, understanding, the LORD is always with us, in us] which was once [hapax – once and for all given] delivered unto [the word “unto” doesn’t appear in the original text, the passage therefore says this “faith” is what, then and now, delivered] the saints [hagios – those who become holy, as He is holy].
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares [to with Satanic subtilty corrupt this faith that delivers], who were before of old ordained [prographo – written of at the beginning: arche] to this condemnation, ungodly men [spoken of by Enoch], turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness [incontinent – unable to control the excrement that comes from them], and denying the only LORD God, and our LORD Jesus Christ [the same yesterday, today, and forever, in this conversation].
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once [hapax] knew this, how that the LORD, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not [as foretold by Enoch, of the LORD’s coming with His saints, the first who receive Him and with Him come to destroy the ungodly speaking against Him].
6 And the angels [messengers] which kept not their first estate [arche – who should be speaking the word of God as received, but instead now speak their own ungodliness against Him], but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness [in their own ignorance, of which they are ignorant] unto the judgment of the great day.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the LORD comes with ten thousands of his saints [hagios – the true stars of heaven],
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken [their blasphemy] against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouths speak great swelling words [of pride], having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage [excusing evil, even calling it good, if it is to their advantage to do so].
17 But, beloved, remember you the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our LORD Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time [the time we know is upon us, the last days of darkness covering the earth], who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves [from God and His ONE BODY], sensual, having not the [ONE] Spirit.
20 But you, beloved, building up yourselves [upon this teaching from the LORD himself] on your most holy [hagios] faith [in Christ, the LORD with us, in us, and we in Him], praying in the Holy [hagios] Ghost [conversing with the LORD present, but unseen by the corrupt world],
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy [in this conversation at the mercy seat] of our LORD Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jeremiah 33
1 Moreover the word of the LORD [manifesting His presence to me] came unto Jeremiah [like Jonah] the second time, while he was yet shut up [cast down] in the court of the prison, saying,
2 Thus says the LORD the maker [‘asah] thereof, the LORD that formed it [yatsar – like a potter], to establish [kuwn] it; the LORD is his name;
3 Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.
4 For thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts [their own governments], and by the sword [this word they reject];
5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in my anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face [paniym – presence] from this [evil] city.
6 Behold, I will [in revealing Myself] bring it health and [this] cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal [galah – uncover, by the wheel within a wheel] unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
7 And I will cause the captivity [of the minds] of Judah and the captivity [minds held in My truth] of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first [ri’shown – at the beginning of the previous age].
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do [‘asah] unto them [in this firmament giving, any who receive it, full understanding, making them children of God with Me in heaven]: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure [‘asah – in this field I have redeemed] unto it.
10 Thus says the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which you say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate [become without form and void, without the knowledge or understanding of God], without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts [who is a man of war and has won this new heaven and earth for us]: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures forever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity [of the mind] of the land [‘erets – earth], as at the first [ri’shown – as at the beginning of the former creation], says the LORD.
12 Thus says the LORD of hosts; Again in this place [the earth, ‘erets, become without form and void: confusion and emptiness], which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be a habitation of shepherds [with My good advice] causing their flocks to lie down.
13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass [‘abar – cross over {death into life, from hell into heaven}] again under the hands of him that tells [manah – enumerates, portions out, PREPARES, constitutes, by telling of the great and mighty things of the LORD] them, says the LORD.
14 Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute [‘asah – make, by telling you these things you haven’t known; answering as asked – as in verses 13 & 3 of this chapter: the sealed things opened, which is My signature, name, identity pressed, as good seed planted, into the earth] judgment and righteousness in the land [‘erets – the earth].
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness [our king of righteousness, king of peace, and high priest in the order of Melchisedec].
17 For thus says the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
18 Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings [teaching this deep understanding], and to do [‘asah – to make by] sacrifice continually.
19 And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
20 Thus says the LORD; If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day [light – understanding] and night [darkness – ignorance] in their season;
21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son [I Am] to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant [as I promised Abraham], and the Levites that minister unto me.
23 Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
24 Consider you not what this [ignorant] people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD has chosen, he has even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
25 Thus says the LORD; If my covenant be not with day [light] and night [darkness], and if I have not appointed the ordinances [beginning and ending the ages] of heaven [of full understanding] and earth [‘erets – controlled by them];
26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity [I will make and hold their mind, and they will possess the gate of their enemies] to return, and have mercy on them.
Psalms 43
1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
2 For you are the God of my strength: why do you cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 O send out your light and your truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto your holy hill, and to your tabernacles.
4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise you, O God my God.
5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope in God [who will correct us out of this state of mind]: for I shall yet praise him [repeating these words He has given us], who is the health of my countenance [paniym – His presence manifested in me is my health, as promised in Jeremiah 33:6 above], and my God.
