3 – 4 July 2025

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
Friends, again, with much sorrow, I tell you that not many self-proclaimed Christian leaders are saved. They, chained to their ignorance (darkness), with great pride and joy in it, spew at each other self-commendations they all seek: men with men commending themselves for their common delusions, and removing God from their knowledge, they work that which is unseemly.
As we know, the above refers to what is written of these men in Romans 1:27, where the word rendered “unseemly” is aschemosune, a twice-used word from schema combined with sun, and reversed by the letter “a.” The word schema speaks of the LORD’s “form;” the word sun of our joining “with” him, and aschemosune of this being reversed: men exalting themselves (men of repute, whose voices are heard from all the high places), men joined with men instead of (communing) with the LORD.
Romans 1
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness [asebeia – a six time used word that prominently appears elsewhere telling of it as what the LORD, at His coming, comes against] and unrighteousness of men [men’s errors, which they ignorantly, with zeal, defend, trying to prove themselves right while refusing the LORD’s righteousness He is present freely giving – Romans 10:1 – 4], who hold [katecho – the word rendered “withhold” and “let” in 2 Thessalonians 2:6 & 7] the truth [captive – the love of which these men refuse and instead choose self-destruction – as in 2 Thessalonians 2:10] in unrighteousness [in their errors, and will hold it their until they are taken out of the way];
19 Because that which may be known of God [His presence] is manifest in [His wrath, this word they refuse, sent against] them; for God has [here and now] shown it unto them.
20 For the invisible things [unseen by men, hidden only in their ignorance and refusal] of him from the creation of the world are [here and now] clearly seen, being understood by the things that are [here and now] made [apparent, shown to have always been present], even his eternal power [to reveal them at His will] and Godhead [as the head of the body and the savior of the world]; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God [who has made Himself apparent], they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations [having great pride in the errors they teach as they take His name in vain], and their foolish heart [mind] was darkened [and they, by their error, became ignorant of what is present, the apparent LORD of glory].
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image [their creations] made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things [ignorant without His Spirit].
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature [their spiritless creations] more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly [aschemosune – not in the form joined with the LORD], and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet [the appropriate, logical, consequence].
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate [without proof of His presence in their] mind, to do those things which are not convenient [are inappropriate – exalting themselves above the ever-present LORD];
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of [the true] God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
The word “pleasure,” in verse 32 above, is the six-times used word suneudokeo, meaning “to think well of in common, i.e. assent to, feel gratified with:–allow, assent, be pleased, have pleasure.”
Friends, you who know the LORD and understand the mission on which He’s sent me (in His chosen form, lowly and without reputation, against the false so-called wise and powerful of the world), He, here and now, using the word suneudokeo, identifies these men as the false prophets of our time, who, as their fathers (devils, misleaders among us, false prophets before them) showed them, have transformed themselves into angels, messenger, of light, but the light in them is the deepest darkness.
Luke 11
43 Woe unto you, Pharisees [you that scatter My flock]! for you love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.
44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees [teachers and preachers who now take My name in vain], hypocrites! for you are as graves [holding the dead in death] which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.
45 Then answered one of the lawyers [those who say they know the law, when what they know are their own misinterpretations], and said unto him, Master [teacher], thus saying you reproach us also.
46 And he said, Woe unto you also, you lawyers! for you lade men with burdens [to keep your laws] grievous to be borne, and you yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 Woe unto you! for you build the sepulchers of the [true] prophets [holding their truth captive among the dead], and your fathers [who’ve taught you men’s creations] killed them.
48 Truly you bear witness [against yourselves] that you allow [suneudokeo – joining them in thinking you are doing good in doing] the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and you build their sepulchers [wherein you hold the dead].
49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
Jude 1
4 For there are certain men crept in [to our midst] unawares, who were before of old ordained [prographo – before written of] to this condemnation, ungodly [asebes] men, turning [metatithemi] the grace [this gift] of our God into lasciviousness [their excrement uncontrollably spewing from their vile bodies], and denying the only LORD God, and our LORD Jesus Christ.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the LORD comes with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly [asebes] among them of all their ungodly [asebes] deeds which they have ungodly [asebeia – worthless words of ignorance and corruption] committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly [asebeo] sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling [proud] words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage [because of their positions of power, giving honor to their words of ignorance and corruption].
17 But, beloved, remember you the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our LORD Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly [asebeia] lusts.
These men, who join themselves together with one corrupt mind, are those the LORD has always come and spoken against, like through Elijah, like Jeremiah, like all the other true prophets, one voice of the LORD speaking to legions of demons possessed by Satan, false prophet misleading many into self-destruction and separation from the LORD.
Romans 11
2 God has not cast away his people which he foreknew [we are God’s people from throughout history]. Know you not what the scripture says of Elijah? how he makes intercession to God against Israel saying,
3 LORD, they have killed your prophets, and digged down your altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4 But what says the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal [the creations of false prophets, as the idols of the old and corrupt world].
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace [those the LORD has chosen, who are undefiled by men’s corruption, to whom this gift is first given and by whom it is first received].
6 And if by grace [a gift from God], then is it no more of [men’s] works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of [men’s] works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
7 What then? Israel [the people unto whom this promise was made] has not obtained that which he seeks for; but the election has obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
8 (According as it is written [in Isaiah 29:10, see the fuller passage below speaking of when all awaken from this sleep], God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
9 And David says [in Psalms 69:23], Let their table be made a snare, and a trap [which it is, and because of which they are found guilty], and a stumbling-block, and a recompence unto them:
10 Let their eyes be darkened [ignorant of their own guilt], that they may not see, and bow down their back always [to their enemies who among them made them ignorant].
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles [those who don’t know God and aren’t called His people], for to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify my office:
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life [the resurrection] from the dead?
Isaiah 29
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book [cepher] that is sealed [chatham], which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I cannot; for it is sealed [chatham]:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I am not learned.
13 Wherefore the LORD said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart [the foundations of their mind – their stoicheion, the elements of their understanding, are corrupt and disordered] far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous [eye opening] work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder [pele’ – at which all have wondered]: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their [wicked] counsel [‘etsah] from the LORD, and their works are in the dark [their own ignorance of reality and truth they can’t understand because it is as a foreign language], and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?
16 Surely your turning of things upside down [the overthrow] shall be esteemed as the potter’s [yatsar] clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed [yatser] say of him that framed [yatsar] it, He had no understanding?
17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon [purity seen in high places] shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words [this word] of the book [cepher], and the eyes of the blind shall see [again] out of obscurity, and out of darkness [by coming out of ignorance].
19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 For the terrible one is brought to naught, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
21 That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproves in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of naught.
22 Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed [padah] Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale [but they will reach the end promised].
23 But when he sees his children [who have been born again out of death and hell], the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name [declare My identity Holy], and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured [against me] shall learn doctrine.
Psalms 69
15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
16 Hear me, O LORD; for your lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of your tender mercies.
17 And hide not your face [paniym – Your presence] from your servant; for I am in trouble [tsar – among enemies]: hear me speedily.
18 Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of my enemies.
19 You have known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: my adversaries [tsarar] are all before you.
20 Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters [nacham], but I found none.
21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
24 Pour out your indignation upon them, and let your wrathful anger take hold of them.
25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute him whom you have smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom you have wounded.
27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into your righteousness.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
Jude 1
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the LORD, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate [which is giving the message as received, who now speak their own creations while taking His name in vain], but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Romans 11
25 For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles [who don’t know God] be come in.
26 And so all Israel [the LORD’s people, who have a zeal for Him, but without knowledge of Him, which is manifested in His judgment and mercy] shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness [asebeia] from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father’s sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as you [the elect remnant] in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief [that through you He shall show His mercy in judgment]:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God has concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 For who has known the mind of the LORD? or who has been his counselor?
35 Or who has first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.
The one other time the word aschemosune appears, in Revelation 16:15, it is describing it as the “shame” of the (famous) false prophets, seen when the LORD comes, as He has, unknown, without fame (without reputation) in the darkness (men’s ignorance).
Revelation 16
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates [words that were a blessing now turned to confusion and mass insanity]; and the water thereof was dried up [and what was hidden below its surface is revealed, like frogs uncovered], that the way of the kings of the east [the appointed time of light returning] might be prepared.
13 And I saw [what was before hidden below the surface of their words] three unclean spirits like frogs come [as corrupt words] out of the mouth of the dragon [those devouring men with the open mouths], and [as words] out of the mouth of the beast [animated dead flesh without the LORD’s Spirit], and [as words] out of the mouth of the false prophet [revealing their shame].
14 For they are the spirits of devils [misleaders], working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I [have] come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments [the LORD’s righteousness, which protects the mind from the corrupt elements of the world], lest he walk naked, and they see his shame [aschemosune – see that they are not in the form of the LORD].
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon [the place of the rendezvous, this appointed time].
17 And the seventh angel [the final messenger, I Am] poured out his vial into the air [to clear it of the blinding smoke that came from the bottomless pit, the endless falling away – see Revelation 9:1 – 4]; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done [ginomai – it is “generated” apparent].
18 And there were [ginomai – apparent] voices [of understanding heard], and thunders [the sound of light, understanding heard from the cloud], and lightnings [understanding seen from the cloud]; and there was [ginomai – apparent] a great earthquake [shaking the world, to shake the wicked from it], such as was [ginomai – apparent] not since men were [ginomai – appeared] upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided [ginomai – was apparent to be] into three parts [under the complete influence of the dragons, the beasts, and the false prophets], and the cities of the nations fell [in the same manner as did the tower of Babel]: and great Babylon [the confusion caused by the three, who have ruled the world into complete insanity and ruin] came in remembrance before [enopion – to us from the presence of] God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island [dry places that have been without this word of God] fled away, and the mountains [the corrupt governments of church and state] were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail [this word reserved for this time, frozen in the cloud and sent] out of heaven [against the current crop of corrupt leaders] every stone about the weight of a talent [these gifts the LORD has given to us]: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
The word rendered “remembrance” in verse 19 above, the word mnaomai, telling of what understanding comes from the LORD’s manifested presence, only used this once in Revelation, is described in the two uses before: rendered “remember” in Jude 1:17 above, and before in 2 Peter 3:2 rendered “that you may be mindful.” What He brings to remembrance is His word spoken by the true prophets, against the words of mockers now falsely speaking in His name as they blaspheme Him.
2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [secretly, from their own imaginations, create lies] shall bring in damnable [apoleia – that cause them and those who follow their ways to perish] heresies, even denying the LORD that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction [apoleia – perdition].
2 And many shall follow their pernicious [apoleia – the ways that lead to their own destruction] ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of [as it is this day].
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned [fraudulent] words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation [apoleia – perishing, perdition] slumbers not [because they are awakened “to shame and everlasting contempt”].
2 Peter 3
1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds [dianoia] by way of remembrance:
2 That you may be mindful [mnaomai] of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the LORD and Saviour:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall [have] come in the last days scoffers [not believing the LORD is present with us, in us], walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep [into death], all things continue as they were from the beginning of the [old] creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God [this same word of God] the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved [for this appointed time of the LORD’s just war against the darkness] unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition [apoleia] of ungodly [asebes] men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is [always with us, hidden only in men’s ignorance] longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements [stoicheion – the corrupt foundational ideas and ways of men] shall melt with fervent heat, the [old corrupt] earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements [stoicheion] shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our LORD is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrestle, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction [apoleia – perdition].
Hebrews 2
1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to [obey] the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
2 For if the word spoken by angels [His messengers sent] was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;
3 How [if we refuse to obey] shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the LORD [the Father revealed in the son first, to bring all His children He has given me to the same glory], and was confirmed [repeating the same message the LORD gave them] unto us by them that heard him;
4 God also bearing them witness, both with [Isaiah 8:18, saying “I and the children the LORD has given me, are for”] signs and wonders [to His people at large], and with divers miracles [this alludes to the “diverse” manner spoken of in Hebrews 1:1; of the many different ways and times, by which the Father previously spoke through men, until now when He, in the son He filled full of understanding all these diverse elements, congealed them in him, into this miraculous, eye-opening, gospel], and gifts [these treasures sent] of the Holy Ghost [as He works unknown leading us into all truth], according to his own will?
The two times the word schemo appears are in telling of the form (“fashion” of the world) we should not be found in, and then of the same we should be, as Christ is, found in. The first speaks of leaders (as men, husbands) and those joined (women, a wife) with them, as a similitude of Christ and the church.
1 Corinthians 7
5 Defraud [apostereo – not steadfast, not in agreement] you not one the other, except it be with consent [sumphonos – only used here, meaning to keep harmony] for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting [abstaining from forcing divisions] and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not [to separation] for your incontinency [akrasia – a lack of self-restraint].
6 But I speak this by permission [suggnome – also only appearing here, meaning “pardon, indulgence”], and not of [kata – not putting down any] commandment.
7 For I would that all men were even as I myself [without a church called by my name]. But every man has his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I [joined only with the LORD].
31 And they that use [chraomai – meaning “to furnish what is needed; (give an oracle, “graze” (touch slightly), light upon, etc.), i.e. (by implication) to employ or (by extension) to act towards one in a given manner”] this world [furnished by it], as not abusing it: for the fashion [schemo] of this world passes away [parago – is lead away: by misleaders].
32 But I would have you without carefulness [amerimnao – not sharing the thoughts {memories} of the world {false security in them}]. He that is unmarried [not joined with men teaching such insecurity] cares [merimnao – merizo mnaomai: shares the same thoughts: recollections] for the things that belong to the LORD, how he may please the LORD:
33 But he [the man] that is married [joined with the world] cares for [merimnao – share the thoughts of] the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife [the people they are joined with].
34 There is difference also between [merizo – a right dividing of the thoughts of] a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman [without a church misleader] cares [merimnao] for the things of the LORD, that she [the church] may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married [joined with worldly men] cares [merimnao] for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
35 And this I speak for your own profit [sumphero]; not that I may [as do worldly men] cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely [euschemon – but for that which “forms good” in you], and that you may attend upon the LORD without distraction.
The “snare” (of worldly men), spoken of above in verse 35, is from the once-used word brochos, which is said to be of uncertain derivation. Its affinity is to the once used word brucho, meaning to rage against (gnash), which (word) refers us to its definitively appearing in Acts 7:54. In this passage it’s the response of worldly men after they received this same dispensation and rejected it, even killing the messenger (Stephen: who is “crowned” with the LORD’s glory).
Acts 7
48 Howbeit the Most High dwells not in temples made with hands [but in the flesh of His choosing]; as says the prophet,
49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will you build me? says the LORD: or what is the place of my rest?
50 Has not my hand made all these things?
51 You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.
52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom you have been now the betrayers and murderers:
53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart [minds], and they gnashed [brucho] on him with their teeth.
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen, [as he was] calling upon God, and saying, LORD Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down [tithemi – laying down his life for the LORD], and cried with a loud voice, LORD, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
1 John 3
16 Hereby perceive we [His long suffering] the love [agape – to give this gift] of God, because he laid down [tithemi] his life for us: and we ought to lay down [tithemi] our lives for the brethren.
Acts 7:49 & 50 above are quotes from Isaiah 66:1 & 2, where verse 2 continues by telling of the man (in the form described in Philippians 2) He sends to those (described in verse 3) held captive by their false worship (of which they are unanimously ignorant).
Isaiah 66
1 Thus says the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that you build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2 For all those things have my hand made, and all those things have been, says the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.
3 [In this time when all religion is corrupt] He that kills an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrifices a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offers an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burns incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delight in their abominations.
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear [shama’ – obey]: but they did evil before my eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
5 Hear [shama’ – obey] the word of the LORD, you that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6 A voice of noise from the city [Heavenly New Jerusalem], a voice from the temple [My ONE BODY in which I dwell], a voice of the LORD that renders recompense [a deserved repayment] to his enemies.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8 Who has heard [shama’ – and obeyed] such a thing? who has [thereby] seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day [when this light has come]? or shall a [new] nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? says your God.
10 Rejoice you with [New Heavenly] Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her:
11 That you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12 For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall you suck, you shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforts [nacham], so will I comfort [nacham] you; and you shall be comforted in [nacham – led into all truth, into New Heavenly] Jerusalem.
14 And when you see this, your heart shall rejoice [realizing My presence therein], and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind [from where His voice is heard changing the face of the earth], to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire [in the word from His mouth heard from His people when their obedience is perfected].
16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 They [now when all religion is corrupted] that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, says the LORD.
18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations [who haven’t known Me] and tongues [speaking corruption]; and they shall come, and [every eye shall] see my glory.
19 And I will set a sign [‘owth] among them, and I will send those that escape [paliyt – escape death and darkness, removing doubt] of them unto the nations [who haven’t know Me], to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off [rachowq – this time when the world is blinded, dumb, and ruled by evil decree], that have not heard [shama’ – or obeyed] my [the LORD’s] fame [shema’ – this report, rumored to be the voice of His presence], [therefore they] neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare [My people in whose mind I have written this word] my glory among the Gentiles [those who haven’t known Me].
20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain [New Heavenly] Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, says the LORD.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me [paniym – in My presence], says the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me [paniym – in My realized presence], says the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm [their animated dead flesh] shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
Isaiah 54
11 O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted [nacham – not lead into all truth], behold, I will lay your stones [those from whom My treasures flow] with fair colors [the rightly divided light], and lay your foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones [from whom there treasure flow].
13 And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children.
14 In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you.
15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake.
16 Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD.
Isaiah 55
1 Ho, every one that thirsts, come you to the waters, and he that has no money; come you, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Wherefore do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfies not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you know not, and nations that knew not you shall run unto you because of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.
6 Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Isaiah 56
1 Thus says the LORD, Keep you judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that does this, and the son of man that lays hold on it; that keeps the Sabbath from polluting it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that has joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus says the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keeps the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.
8 The LORD God, which gathers the outcasts of Israel says, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
Philippians 2
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form [morphe] of God, thought it not robbery to be equal [isos, see verse 20 below] with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form [morphe] of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion [schema] as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name [Timothy] which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.
19 But I trust in the LORD Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
20 For I have no man likeminded [isopsuchos – only used here, meaning equal Spirit and soul], who will naturally [gnesios – only used here, meaning “genuinely, i.e. really”] care [merimnao – shares the same thoughts] for your state.
21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.
22 But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.
Philippians 3
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the LORD. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe [asphales – will not fail].
2 Beware of dogs [those barking ignorantly in the darkness], beware of evil workers, beware of the concision [those who ignorantly believe they are the true believers, whose glory is their shame].
3 For we are the circumcision [the true believers, knowing He is present with us, in us], which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice [realizing His presence is] in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh [men who reject His Spirit].
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things [I thought I knew] but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my LORD: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the [corruptible] law, but that which is through the faith of Christ [the LORD’s Spirit alive in us], the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable [a servant of no reputation, obedient, and humble, even] unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect [teleioo – complete]: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those [corrupt] things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before [found in His presence],
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling [klesis – our vocation, doing the work] of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect [teleios – in His presence], be thus minded: and if in any thing you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained [phthano – arrived], let us walk by the same rule [kanon], let us mind the same thing [not be otherwise minded, not walking a different way than He].
17 Brethren, be followers together of me and mark them which walk so as you have us [Paul and me] for an example.
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction [apoleia – perdition], whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20 For our conversation is [with the LORD] in heaven [from where He gives us full understanding]; from whence also we look for the Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious [ONE] body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
2 Corinthians 10
1 Now I Timothy myself [with Paul; by the One LORD alive in us] beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence [prosopon – my outward appearance] am base among you, but being absent [apeimi – when the LORD reveals Himself in me] am bold toward you:
2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present [pareimi] with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of [the enemies’] strong holds [on those they possess];)
5 Casting down imaginations [the creations of men’s ignorant minds], and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ [His One mind];
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7 Do you look on things after the outward appearance [prosopon]? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he [claims he] is Christ’s, even so are we [truly] Christ’s.
Psalms 99
1 The LORD reigns; let the people tremble: he sits between the cherubims [above the mercy seat, manifesting His presence in this conversation]; let the earth be moved [nuwt – quake].
2 The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high [ruwn – risen by His own power] above all the people.
3 Let them praise your great and terrible name; for it is holy.
4 The king’s strength also loves judgment; you do establish equity, you execute judgment and righteousness in Jacob [upon Your people still wrestling with Your presence, Your word and work, unknown].
5 Exalt you the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron [those drawn from the corrupt waters below and giving this light as received] among his priests, and Samuel [those hearing this word as the voice of the LORD] among them that call upon his name [His manifested identity]; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.
7 He spoke unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
8 You answered them, O LORD our God: you are a God that forgave them, though you took vengeance on their inventions [the idols men created, put in My place, and call by My name].
9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
