But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

The word, in Psalms 37:39 & 40 above, rendered “trust,” is the thirty-seven times used Hebrew word chacah, meaning “to flee for protection (compare 982); figuratively, to confide in:–have hope, make refuge, (put) trust.”

The idea of fleeing to the LORD for protection is that He speaks of, recorded in all the Gospels except John, telling us that “When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains [the place where He sits]:”

The word used in this quote (from Matthew 24:15 & 16), rendered “mountains,” is the same word that appears earlier in the same chapter. There, after telling of the desolation that shall come upon His temple (His people’s minds), that He is atop the mountain we flee to, verse 3 saying, “And as he sat upon the mount [oros] of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world [aion – the age]?”

We know from Zachariah 14:4, this mount of Olives is where the LORD is first seen again standing (in resurrection), in this war, which (rightly) divides the mountain into two (the governments of church and state, the old and corrupt mountains), and we flee to the valley between them. This valley is then said to “reach” unto Azal, the word “reach” is naga’, meaning to touch, or lay hands on. The name Azal is said, by the Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon, to mean “reserved,” speaking of the things reserved (frozen) in the cloud, understanding in its separated element, to be sent from there in this time of war.

The name Azal is from the five times used Hebrew word ‘atsal, specifically referring us to its uses in Numbers 11:17 & 25, which describes this moment.

Numbers 11
16 And the LORD said unto Moses [to me], Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel [the new generation of leaders], whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation [mow’ed – in this appointed time], that they may stand [yatsab – referring to its use in Job 38:14] there with you.
17 And I will come down and talk with you there: and I will take of [‘atzal – I will touch them with] the spirit [ruwach] which is upon you [upon me], and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you bear it not yourself alone.
18 And say you unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and you shall eat flesh [My word become flesh in these men]: for you have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and you shall eat.
19 You shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
20 But even a whole month [completely changing these governments of church and state], until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that you have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before [paniym – in His presence, to] him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt [fled from those oppressing us]?
21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and you have said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea [all humanity] be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’s hand waxed short? you shall see now whether my word shall come to pass unto you or not.
24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.
25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spoke unto him, and took of [‘atsal – and touched them with] the spirit [ruwach] that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit [ruwach] rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

In Zachariah 14:5, the LORD says this fleeing (separation from those oppressing us – holding us down; as in the word katecho in 2 Thessalonians 2:6 & 7, rendered withholds and let, who will do so until they are taken out of the way), is as we fled before the earthquake. The word there rendered “earthquake” is the Hebrew word ra’ash, which we know is the voice of the LORD shaking heaven and earth, bringing the dead bones together.

Ezekiel 37
5 Thus says the LORD God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath [ruwach – My Spirit] to enter into you, and you shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath [ruwach] in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise [qowl – this voice heard as the voice of the LORD, as it is], and behold a shaking [ra’ash], and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath [ruwach] in them.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind [ruwach], prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind [ruwach], Thus says the LORD God; Come from the four winds [ruwach], O breath [ruwach], and breathe [naphach] upon these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath [ruwach] came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house [family] of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus says the LORD God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land [‘adamah – this first generation of My new creation] of Israel.
13 And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14 And shall put my spirit [ruwach] in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land [‘adamah]: then shall you know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, says the LORD.

Job 38
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together [repeating this word I put in their mouths], and all the sons of God shouted [realizing My presence with them, in them] for joy?
8 Or who shut up the sea [humanity at large] with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb [born into this generation]?
9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling-band for it,
10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
11 And said, Hitherto shall you come, but no further: and here shall your proud waves [of men’s ignorance, and pride in it] be stayed?
12 Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused the dayspring [this new day: time of light] to know his place;
13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth [ending the old and corrupt, beginning the new], that the wicked might be shaken [na’ar] out of it?
14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand [yatsab] as a garment.
15 And from the wicked their light [this understanding] is withheld, and the high arm [their power in their works of ignorance] shall be broken.
16 Have you entered into the springs of the sea [these life-giving waters now sent to all humanity]? or have you walked in the search of the depth [hidden below the surface of My written word]?
17 Have the gates of death [men’s word] been opened unto you? or have you seen the doors [the same mouths] of the shadow of death?
18 Have you perceived the breadth [this end and its new beginning] of the earth? declare if you know it all.
19 Where is the way where light dwells? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
20 That you should take it to the bound thereof, and that you should know the paths to the house thereof?
21 Know you it, because you were then born? or because the number of your days is great?
22 Have you entered into the treasures of the snow [My word frozen, understanding reserved to be sent at this moment]? or have you seen the treasures of the hail [the same word sent to destroy the ignorance that pervades the current crop of corrupt leaders],
23 Which I have reserved [in the cloud] against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
24 By what way is the light parted [rightly divided into the bow in the cloud], which scatters the east wind upon the earth?
25 Who has [rightly] divided a watercourse [this way, exalting this word of the LORD] for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder [this voice of the LORD giving understanding only He possesses];
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no [living] man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud [this new life springing forth on this third day] of the tender herb to spring forth?

Jeremiah 10
10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble [ra’ash], and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation [za’am – which ends with the destruction of the wicked].
11 Thus shall you say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12 He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends [old and new] of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain [His word sent from the cloud], and bringeth forth the wind [ruwach – His Spirit] out of his treasures.
14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image [their own creations]: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath [ruwach] in them.
15 They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation [pquddah – at His appearing as the Chief Overseer of the earth] they shall perish.
16 The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel [My people, My family, who receive the expected end] is the rod [that buds] of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name [a man of war is His identity].
17 Gather up your wares [from moving] out of the land [‘erets – the old and corrupt earth], O inhabitant of the fortress.
18 For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land [‘erets – the old earth] at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.
19 Woe is me for my hurt [sheber – as in Jeremiah 8:21, saying “For the hurt {sheber} of the daughter of my people am I hurt”]! my wound is grievous; but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.
20 My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.
21 For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.
22 Behold, the noise [qowl – the voice] of the bruit [shmuw’ah – of the LORD heard, the “report” “rumored” to be His arm revealed to those who hear Him] is come, and a great commotion [ra’ash – an earthquake: shaking] out of the north country [against the places of darkness], to make the cities of Judah [the corrupt leaders of God’s people] desolate, and a den of dragons [tanniyn – men as whales and serpents devouring with their wide open mouth].
23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not [known] in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his [own] steps.
24 O LORD, correct me [into the right way], but with judgment; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing.
25 Pour out your fury upon the heathen that know you not [who refuse to hear Your voice], and upon the families that call not on your name [identity]: for they [as whales and serpent] have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

These latter verses speak of trusting the LORD’s leadership, showing the way that men apparently haven’t known and still refuse. This decision, choosing to follow God or godless man, which is life and death, is that described in Joel 3, in the valley of Jehoshaphat (Jehovah’s judgment), which is also there called the valley of (this) decision.

Psalms 127
1 Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.

Friends, the following, ending with Psalms 127, is from the post of 16 April 2024, which repeated excerpts from earlier posts (with additions that day (16 April 2024) and today in double brackets).

The chapter [[Zeachariah 14]] tells of the LORD appearing on the “mount of Olives,” the only times (Zechariah 14:4 twice) the phrase (har zayith) appears in the Old Testament. It is once there [[in the Old Testament]] referred to, in 2 Samuel 15:30, where it (the phrase), in the original text, is rendered from zayith alone. In this earlier appearance, it tells of David ascending to this place while he waited to be “certified” king.

The word rendered “certify,” in 2 Samuel 15:28, is nagad, meaning “to front, i.e. stand boldly out opposite; by implication (causatively), to manifest; figuratively, to announce (always by word of mouth to one present); specifically, to expose, predict, explain, praise.”

The pattern speaks of the descent, when David, the beloved (Timothy, who is uniquely described as the man of God, and the beloved son), stands there (on the Mount of Olive) face (front) to face (as the cherubim [[their voices heard as their wings {kanaph} raising them, as eagles, into heaven: full understanding]] above the mercy seat manifesting the LORD’s presence in the conversation), boldly against the wicked now in power (as in the full definition of nagad).

As in 2 Samuel 15:30, without the har, Zechariah tells of the mountain, the governments of the earth, church and state, from where this anointing oil should flow, departing, and God’s people finding themselves in the valley left in the place of the mountain’s departure. This event is what Joel (the LORD in him) writes of.

Joel 3
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all you heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause your mighty ones to come down [from the mountain into the valley], O LORD.
12 Let the heathen [those who haven’t known Me] be wakened, and come up [from their graves where they sleep in death] to the valley of Jehoshaphat [this judgment of Jehovah present]: for there will I sit to judge [[shaphat]] all the heathen [who haven’t know My presence] round about.
13 Put you in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe [in the New Testament we’re told the Mount of Olives is in Bethphage, meaning the house of unripe figs, it is also the place the LORD resides at night {waiting for the fruit to ripen}, after light left, light which was when He was in the temple]: come, get you down [from the mountain]; for the press is full, the fats [this oil] overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun [church government] and the moon [civil governments] shall be darkened [ignorant without this light], and the stars [God’s people, the multitude in the valley] shall withdraw their shining [also not having or not giving this understanding as received].
16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem [this place from where His teaching flows the highway to sustainable peace and security]; and the [totally corrupt] heavens and the earth shall shake [[[ra’ash]] to shake the wicked from them]: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
17 So shall you know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with [these living] waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim [where all are scourged by the thorns – corrected away from those misleading them].
19 Egypt [those oppressing the world] shall be a desolation, and Edom [the enemies mixed among us at war with us while they call it peace] shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah [My elect remnant, the new crop of leaders I Am raising from the dead], because they [the enemies among us] have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 But Judah [the elect remnant] shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem [My people at large] from [the old and corrupt] generation to [become the new] generation [in this new creation].
21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwells in Zion.

Matthew 17
5 While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud [where understanding is found] overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.”
6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7 And Jesus came and touched [[as in naga’ ‘atsal]] them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
8 And when they had lifted up their eyes [seeing the unseen, as the LORD sees], they saw no man, save Jesus only.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead [as I Am].

Luke 19
37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples [students of His teaching] began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the LORD: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke your disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things which belong unto your peace! but now they are hid from your eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall cast a trench about you, and compass you round, and keep you in on every side,
44 And shall lay you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they shall [scatter you] not leave in you one stone upon another; because you knew not the time of your visitation.
45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but you have made it a den of thieves.
47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

Zechariah 14
1 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in the midst of you.
2 For I will gather all nations against [[the dead carcass, the dead body of Christ, who with His rising in them becomes New Heavenly]] Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people [[the elect remnant in whom He is already risen]] shall not be cut off [[karath – the same spoken of in Daniel 9:25, speaking of the LORD remaining with His elect remnant, those here realizing His presence with us, in us, saying “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off {karath}, but not for himself {not from the elect remnant}: and the people {the carcass remaining dead} of the prince {the devils in power, in God’s place in church and state} that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood {sheteph – a key word, see its other uses, speaking of the evil conversation of the wicked in power}, and unto the end {qets} of the war desolations {of those warring against us with their evil words, their flatteries, their deceptions masked in their claimed good intentions} are determined {charats – decreed, as spoken of in Isaiah 28:2 & 10:22 & 23}]] from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal [unto sanctification [[by receiving this word reserved in the cloud for the moment]]]: yea, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah [the strength of Jehovah] king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints [the former sea] with you [the latter sea].
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light [understanding] shall not be clear, nor dark [these messages are heard but not yet fully understood]:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light [into the darkness of ignorance and confusion the LORD comes with understanding].
8 And it shall be in that day, that [these] living waters shall go out from [Heavenly New] Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem [all the high places, and their fruit, shall be brought down by the peace that flows from His right hand]: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate [the entryway taught by the right hand of the LORD] unto the place of the first gate [the place where the light is first seen], unto the corner gate [and turning to Him {the LORD} they shall enter], and from the tower [where is seen the evidence of the price paid to redeem the earth: the field] of Hananeel [those who God has favored] unto the king’s winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem [the peace He is teaching]; Their [works of the] flesh shall consume [maqaq [[- melt, and vanish; like the stoicheion Peter decribes in 2 Peter 3:10 & 12 ]]] away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes [what they say they’ve seen and understand] shall consume [maqaq] away in their holes, and their tongue [their word against the LORD] shall consume [maqaq] away in their mouth. [Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the LORD comes with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.]
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
14 And Judah [the elect remnant – the saints who have come with the LORD] also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen [those who haven’t known the LORD] round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance [the things they thought were valuable but are actually burdens and plagues]
15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague [the defeat of all those who carry {teach and preach} these burdens].
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto [Heavenly New] Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt [the houses of oppression] go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles [who come not out of these houses of oppression – to the harvest].
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt [the oppressors who put heavy burdens on God’s people], and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses [this shall be the shade in the day, that replaces the plague of the burdens upon the horses], Holiness Unto The LORD; and the pots [filled with these living waters that have flowed from Him] in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in [Heavenly New] Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto [pure, to be delivered in the form it was received from] the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite [those who {conspicuously} hate their brother, because upon him is the righteousness that pleases the LORD] in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Psalms 127
1 Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.
3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that has his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

The following, ending with 1 Corinthians 3, is an excerpt from the post of 14 August 2023.

The word “decision,” twice used above in Joel 3:14, is the Hebrew word charuwts, meaning “incised or (active) incisive; hence (as noun masculine or feminine) a trench (as dug), gold (as mined), a threshing-sledge (having sharp teeth); (figuratively) determination; also eager.” It’s referring to the harvest mentioned in the title verse [[Joel 3:13]], and the separating effect of the threshing instrument, which brings the choice between light and darkness.

It (charuwts) refers us to Isaiah 41, as the LORD commands the dry places (without His word) to be silent and let His people renew their strength (understanding). He calls His people who have received understanding to come near (into His presence, as in 1 Thessalonians 2:12, 13, 19, & 20), to speak (HIS WORD), and come together with Him in judgment. This (JUDGMENT) is what He, later in verse 15, says is them as His new “sharp” threshing instrument, with which He beats the mountains and hills (the seats of power) small as chaff.

Joshua 24
14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve you the LORD.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites [those who exalt their words and ways above God’s], in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
16 And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;
17 For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
18 And the LORD drove out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.
19 And Joshua [[Jesus – Jehovah’s Salvation manifested in the flesh of His perpetual son]] said unto the people, You cannot serve the LORD: for he is a holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
20 If you forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he has done you good.
21 And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.
22 And Joshua said unto the people, You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
25 So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
26 And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone [[Christ – the LORD manifested in the flesh, from where His word flows]], and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.
27 And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a [[trustworthy; as in chacah]] witness unto us; for it has heard all the words of the LORD which he spoke unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest you deny your God.

The eleven times used word showt, above seen to speak of this foretold “scourge,” from where comes the word shotet, first appears, four times, rendered “whips.” These come in Rehoboam’s response when Israel (the ten northern tribes), after he became king, asked him to lighten the burden His father, Solomon, put upon them. His responses, and its recommendation by the young men that grew up with him (all remaining with childish minds), come in 1 Kings 12:11 & 14, and 2 Chronicles 10:11 & 14, all saying “My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips [showt], but I will chastise you with scorpions.”

As we well know, this event is the cause of the breach in the house of Jacob, which was before united under David and remained so under Solomon.

The deep meaning inferred in this passage, is the whip of Solomon, which Rehoboam, his generation, and Israel, saw as a burden, are his (Solomon’s) words, teaching God wisdom from His mouth, by which the people remained united (at peace and secure, among themselves and with their enemies). These speak of the tendency toward degeneration due to prosperity, seeing the LORD’s word as a burden, instead of a light yoke (as it is) not understood by those who haven’t experienced life absent it or wholeheartedly received it. What results is the condition Joshua warns of above, the lack of peace and security that come as witnesses against those who abandoned and forgot this understanding, and in their place were exalted words of men, which are as strikes of scorpions (rotting the mind from the inside).

The next time the word showt appears comes in Job 5:21 speaking of the degeneration as it now is, in its end when none understand and therefore none know the LORD or recognize His work, which is now evident in them as witnesses against themselves. Thus, Paul elsewhere says all are dead and must all be changed.

Job 5
1 Call now, if there be any that will answer you; and to which of the saints will you turn? [None open their mouth, because they are without understanding and therefore dead.]
2 For wrath [this word of God rejected] kills the foolish man, and envy slays the silly one [ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth].
3 I have seen [in the beginning of the degeneration] the foolish taking root: but suddenly [pith’own – in this time of their sudden destruction] I cursed his habitation [the hell their apostacy created].
4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate [unable to leave hell or enter heaven], neither is there any to deliver them.
5 Whose harvest [of what took root and grew into full fruit] the hungry [without this word of God] eat up, and take it even out of the thorns [taught to them by misleaders who grew when this understanding was neglected and abandoned], and the robber swallows up their substance [their peace and prosperity into the belly of hell].
6 Although affliction come not forth of the dust [‘aphar – the ruin of the earth {people and nations} comes from the ways of affliction], neither does trouble spring out of the ground [but rather comes from the minds of men without understanding];
7 Yet man is born unto trouble [as a snare], as the sparks fly upward [into the darkness where their light and life is extinguished].
8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
9 Which does great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number:
10 Who gives rain upon the earth [His word from heaven to those in need of it], and sends waters upon the fields [to bring forth the good fruit man needs to survive]:
11 To set up on high those that be low [[as if in a valley]]; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
12 He disappoints the devices [machashabah – the contrivances as weapons of war] of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise [tuwshiyah – the falsely so-called wisdom of the foolish children of the world].
13 He takes the wise in their own craftiness [quoted in 1 Corinthians 3:19]: and the counsel of the froward [degenerates that intentionally twist and pervert truth] is carried headlong [into their destruction by their own creations].
14 They meet with darkness [in blinding ignorance] in the day time [not realizing this light has come], and [fecklessly] grope in the noonday [when all see them] as in the night [as they pretend no one does].
15 But he saves the poor [those without power] from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
16 So the poor has hope, and iniquity stops her [poisonous] mouth.
17 Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: therefore despise not you the chastening of the Almighty: [This is reiterated in Psalms 94:12, Proverbs 3:11 & 12, stated in Hebrews 12:5 as something we have forgotten, and contributes to James 1:12.]
18 For he makes sore, and binds up: he wounds, and his hands make whole.
19 He shall deliver you in six troubles: yea, in seven [when perfection comes] there shall no evil touch you.
20 In famine he shall redeem you from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
21 You shall be hid from [and by] the scourge [showt] of the tongue: neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes.
22 At destruction and famine you shall laugh: neither shall you be afraid of the beasts [those without the LORD’s Spirit] of the earth.
23 For you shall be in league with the stones [[from whom this word of the LORD flows]] of the field [at which others stumble]: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.
24 And you shall know that your tabernacle shall be in peace; and you shall visit your habitation, and shall not sin.
25 You shall know also that your seed shall be great, and your offspring as the grass of the earth.
26 You shall come to your grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn comes in in his season.
27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know you it for your good.

1 Corinthians 3
9 For we are laborers together with God: you are God’s husbandry, you are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master-builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ [the LORD alive in our flesh].
12 Now if any man builds upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day [this light now come] shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17 If any man defile [teaching degeneration to] the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written [in Job 5:13 above], He takes the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Psalms 36
12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

The following, ending with Matthew 24, is from the post of 1 September 2018, as it appeared in the post of 24 July 2025.

[[From]] 1 September 2018

Today is explicitly speaking of the wickedness of the Democrat party, the deep state, their witch hunt, the lies at their foundation, and the injustice and inequity they pursue through their special counsel.

Psalms 36
1 The transgression of the wicked says within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he has left off to be wise, and to do good.
4 He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.
5 Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and your faithfulness reaches unto the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep: O LORD, you preserve man and beast.
7 How excellent is your lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust [[chacah]] under the shadow of your wings [[kanaph – Your voice]].
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of your house; and you shall make them drink of the river [[this word]] of your pleasures.
9 For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light.
10 O continue your lovingkindness unto them that know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

The opening verse above tells of the thoughts and actions of the wicked, showing there is no fear of God in their understanding. This is itself the definition of blindness and foolishness, from which these men have been warned away, have not heeded, and are therefore now in grave danger of reaping the self-inflicted consequences.

The standard operating procedure of the wicked is to first create a lie (as they have), to facilitate a false accusation (as they have), to give plausible validity to an investigation (as it has). The investigation is continued until a violation of a law is found or forced, as we have seen and will see as long as the witch hunt is allowed to continue. The wicked, the unaccountable, and lawless deep state, pervert and apply justice unequally, and with prejudice, ignoring or acquitting the guilty while meticulously scrutinizing anyone they deem a threat to their lies, power, or positions.

These are merely tactics, now grotesquely exaggerated as they frantically try to defeat the will of the people who have seen, awakened, and risen up in opposition, which manifested itself in the election of President Trump (who is appropriately named as he has and continues to trump every card they play). The finalization of their planned destruction included the election of Hillary Clinton, which was inevitable right up until the sudden, unexpected loss. The attacks against the President are an extension of the underlying objective: destroying those who have awakened against the transformation of our nation.

As we know, for the wicked to have succeeded, the seeds had to be planted long ago, before Obama, who with intention, infested the government with communists, socialists, and globalists who he knew would ruthlessly disregard the law. Their mission, to be the final destroyers of the American and Christian culture, has been the plan of the like-minded for generations before him. Our culture is the underlying enemy these people are attacking and against which they have long conspired.

At the beginning of the last century, the communists set out to demoralize the U.S. by infiltrating all our institutions: education, religion, and government, and by this alter the thinking and spirit of the population.

They filled the minds of our society with meaningless and inaccurate propaganda meant to vilify America and Christianity while elevating lesser and more primitive values. The greater intention was to confuse the mind by destroying normalcy and reality through redefinition and reverse labeling, which has now produced vast numbers of people foolish enough to believe and act upon whatever lies they are told.

Friends, I am sorry to say, this is as true in the modern church as it is in the pop culture.

The men who now sit in the seats of power, who oppose the awakening, will not change what they teach, nor will they allow any ideas to be heard that contradict and expose their corrupted thinking, teaching, and reporting.

This is when, where, and why God manifests His presence and power. He comes as the same great surprise to those who don’t believe He exists or who think they control Him. Friends, watch, and you will see, all will see, but the unbelieving will deny it is a supernatural act of the Almighty. The LORD tells us where to look, and of the sign of His presence, which comes after the tribulation caused by the darkening of these institutions and God’s people. He is the enlightener, who appears to end the darkness.

Matthew 24
27 For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun [church] be darkened, and the moon [civil government] shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven [God’s people falling away from His rightly divided word and losing their light], and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear [the light] the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Truly I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Psalms 17
A Prayer [tphillah – intersession] of David
1 Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer [tphillah], that goes not out of feigned lips.
2 Let my sentence come forth from your presence [paniym]; let your eyes behold the things that are equal.
3 You have proved my heart; you have visited me in the night; you have tried me, and shall find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of your lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
5 Hold up my goings in your paths, that my footsteps slip not.
6 I have called upon you, for you will hear me, O God: incline your ear unto me, and hear my speech.
7 Show your marvelous [eye-opening] lovingkindness, O you that saves by your right hand them which put their trust [chacah] in you from those that rise up against them.
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye [a pupil seeing as You see], hide me under the shadow of your wings [kanaph – Your voice],
9 From [paniym – manifest Your presence against] the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
10 They are enclosed in their own fat [the success of their wickedness]: with their mouth they speak proudly.
11 They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
12 Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
13 Arise, O LORD, disappoint [paniym – manifest Your presence against] him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is your sword:
14 From men which are your hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly you fill with your hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
15 As for me, I will behold your face [paniym – Your presence] in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness.
